Descriptive Essay About Pizza Antico
The yellow–orange glow from the lights outside glistened off the plates holding the delicious, well–
prepared, and photogenic food. The soft hum of the hustle and bustle of Santana Row along with the
crowds on the sidewalks filled the air with liveliness. Located in the heart of Santana Row, Pizza
Antica creates Italian dishes that are true works of art. At its reasonable price, this restaurant is ideal
for a "treat yourself" kind of day, or a semi–formal date night due to the incorporation of the classic
pizzeria style that keeps the atmosphere light and casual. Pizza Antica is a part of the Bacchus
Management Group family of restaurants, and this specific location opened 10 years ago and has
taken off ever since. The restaurant's environment simulates the streets of Rome, but the freshness of
the ingredients makes me feel like I am right in my backyard. The atmosphere that emitted from
Pizza Antica made me feel at home–it radiated a relaxed and uplifting vibe, and the food was
marvelous: I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone.
One of the two aspects Pizza Antica provided that made my night that much better was the
ambiance–it was casual and it made me feel comfortable. The atmosphere was casual and
comforting because of the environment and people that surrounded me. Walking towards Pizza
Antica, I noticed that the outside seating had around 10–15 tables and it did not looked too
clustered. After waiting for about an hour, my group and I ended up securing a

13th: A Short Story
My feet hit the street as I ran as fast as i could go. He was getting closer to me, I could see the finish
line it was so close. I felt a hand on my shoulder, it was him. He pushed me down. I fell. My face hit
the sidewalk. Hard. I could see blood everywhere.
"Emma!"
"What? Why are you looking at me that way?" I asked.
"Emma, you were saying something about a finish line, and how close it was." my mom answered
with a worried look on her face.
"Phf it was just a dream." I said
"Oh okay, get ready for school." she said not believing me at all.
That was the fifth time I had that dream this week. At least it's friday, I thought.
When I got to school my friend Ally walked over
"Guess what day it is?" she asked in a sing–song voice.
"What?" I asked.
"Friday the 13th." Ally said.
Ally is really into the supernatural, and that friday the 13th is evil.
"So, will you ghost hunting with me?" Ally asked. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
"Okay, but it's only 9:10." Ash pointed out.
"Right, zombies don't come out till 10:00. Care to eat?" Ally said.
I wondered where she got that bit of information. Ally's always looking up weird facts about the
supernatural so it does surprise me when she says that.
"Sure, i saw pizza place down the street." i pointed out.
We all agreed pizza would be good, Ash said we should walk so we did. Once we had got there i
realized the place was old and beat up. When you walked in and looked to the right the walls were
lined with movie posters, normal right? Wrong! These movies on the posters had come out in the
1800's.
"Hello and welcome to Sally's pizza place." a girl said with a frown on her face.
The girl had long black hair with green tips, she also had very pale skin. She kind of looked like a
vampire to me because to top it all off she was wearing all black.
"Hi can i have a cheese pizza?" Ally asked smiling trying to be friendly.
"Yes you may that will be ten doll dollars." she

to make as much money as possible. He was told as a young man, by the men who had been to
America, which he needs to go with enough money to start a business to be able to make in
America. So he saved enough money to take his family and himself to America and to open a
pizzeria. When Victor and his family first arrived in America he was living in Middle Village New

Why Sylvia Decided To Go To Cici's Pizza
One day a family friend Sylvia decided to go to CiCi's Pizza the most popular pizza spot in her area
and place an order to go for her family. She decided to order 2 large pizzas and a batch of the
cinnamon rolls. Once she got home she decided to try one of the cinnamon rolls and began to choke
on something. After getting it dislodged from her throat Sylvia noticed that it was a piece of plastic
that had caused her to choke. Sylvia went back into her kitchen where the rest of the cinnamon rolls
were and noticed not only did the one she eat have plastic but a few others did also, so she took out
her phone and took a quick picture of it for her evidence. Sylvia immediately called the store and
informed them on what had happened but, the lady on

Essay about Developing My Critical Thinking Skills
Given the especially large number of students you see each semester, I don't expect any recollection
of my presence in your COMM150 class–– I certainly wasn't an exemplary enough student to have
left any lasting memories (which is both good and bad). But I wanted to share with you a small
anecdote, because four years later I've realized that your class served as an important catalyst in the
development of my critical thinking abilities.
As a freshmen at the Altoona campus, I took your class on a whim because I needed a Comm class.
Of course I was 'confident' (re: cocky) in my abilities, so I didn't study for exams and ended up in a
bad place part–way through the semester. That's when you offered an extra–credit assignment that

Do the Right Thing is a 1989 film by Spike Lee. According to Entertainment Weekly, it is one of the
25 most controversial films ever. It was deemed culturally significant by the Library of Congress in
1999, and then placed in the National Film Registry. The story follows the lives of citizens of the
Bedford–Stuyvesant District in New York City, on the hottest day of the summer, and what they do
to cope with the heat. To summarize the entire plot–it ends in a riot. I'd like to analyze some of the
situations found in the movie, and discuss how, if at all, it related to race relations in America. When
watching the film, I wasn't overly interested in the plot. Nothing interesting happened (until the end
of the movie) and there was nothing that made me (as a viewer) intrigued to continue watching.
What I found important, however, was the character portrayals in the movie, and this is what kept
me watching. I'm not sure what Lee wanted from this movie, because to me, it seemed as if he was
being a) overtly racist towards non African–Americans, and b) stereotypical of his own race.
Throughout the movie I was astounded by the portrayal of the black characters in this movie.
Specifically, Buggin' Out's character. While I realize that the character's name is a direct reference to
his personality, I think Lee went a bit too far. For example, when the white cyclist accidentally
scuffed his

Pops By Victor Lavalle Analysis
In the story, pops by Victor LaValle, the main character is a young boy who is 11 years old who in
the story is meeting with his father for the first time in a long time. The setting of the story brings
the two of them in a pizza place eating pizza as the young boy tries to get comfortable with his
father. "I waited to see if he was the kind of guy to blow his dick out if I cursed a little. My mom
was like that. He didn't squawk." Anthony, the young boy, was trying to see what type of guy his
Dad was by throwing curse words and making up stories of how he got into fights, comparing his
mom's attitude from his dad's. He did not receive any type of reaction from Louis, which made the
relationship towards Anthony, feel more like a friend figure than a father figure.
As the conversation went further in the story, Anthony become more and more comfortable with his
father where than in the beginning of the story, "I'd laughed extra hard because I was too damn
nervous." where he asked less questions. "I looked at his face, it was big and not too pretty, but
something about him was nice. I could see someone trusting him." Anthony observed his father's
actions and appearance as well as was curious to know more information about his father. Most of
his thoughts were analyzed in his head whereas in the beginning of the story, he was scared to let
out.
The conversation between father and son was not awkward even though there was stares here and
there. Anthony saying this shows the

Water Parks Research Paper
Water parks are the best! This was the day that I went to one. I stepped out of the car and it was an
amazing sight. There were so many slides to choose to go on. There were toilet bowls, slides that go
up walls and you go back down backwards, and some of them even went straight down! The people
that were on them looked like they were having a lot of fun. We walked in and I saw all of the food
and drinks that all of the people had. There were hot dogs, pizza, funnel cakes, elephant ears, and
nachos that all smelled so good. You could smell the ketchup and mustard on the hot dogs, the
sausage on the pizza, the powdered sugar on the funnel cakes and elephant ears, and the cheese on
the nachos. We went to the wave pool and you could smell the chlorine in it. ... Show more content

So we got our tubes and walked up the stairs, while we did that I could hear screaming from the
people that were going down the slides. Finally, when it was my turn to go I went down and I heard

in the toilet bowl. I could hear my parents cheering me on from the ground. After the lifeguard
pushed me down the exit to go into the pool I smacked into the water and went under, it sounded
really weird. After the toilet bowl I wanted to go to the slide that went up a wall and you came down
backwards called the slingshot. I walked up the stairs and I could feel the water drops hitting my
head. The stairs were very rough and you have to walk up 6 flight of them. We got to the top and it

Summary: Tipping Economy
When you order pizza, there's a kind of dance that is set in motion: a staff person takes your order,
fresh pies are made on the spot and then another person in the team brings it right to your front door.
And, as the team at La Crosse, WI's South Lanes Pizza can tell you, while most are accustomed to
tipping in restaurants–where food travels a few feet–it's a shame that many don't provide the same
courtesy to food and pizza delivery people.
In a number ways, it's crucial for you to provide a gratuity for your delivery person just as you
would wait–staff. Read on to find out why:
Tipping Economy: Let's break down the numbers a little; while most delivery people are collecting
some hourly wages, it's usually set at a point that assumes the

The Course Of My Behavior Change Project
Over the course of my behavior change project, I ran into several obstacles and the outcome was not
quite what I had expected. There ae a few things that I learned during this project from the
outrageous cost of healthy food, to what I really struggle with in terms of heathy eating. I started
with the intention of eating healthy, but towards the end of the first month, I realized just how costly
that can be because I am but a poor college student on a tight budget and sadly I burned a lot of my
food budget on fruits and veggies. That was quite an eye opener for me. I also learned that it was not
always the content of my meals, but also the size. My wife is much smaller than me and I really
started to watch how she eats as opposed to how I eat. Her serving sizes were always much smaller.
This taught me a thing or two about what I should be putting on my plate. I also know now that
pizza is literally my kryptonite. I know I am doing this BCP, I know I want to lose weight, I know
that I want to be healthy, but when I get around pizza I am like a drug addict that can only focus on
my drug (pizza). I need to format my lifestyle to stay away from pizza places as much as humanly
possible because I will it until it hurts.
The outcome. During my BCP, I also started drinking a lot of water and started to attend the gym a
lot more than I was previously. During this time, I noticed a lot more muscle mass due to the real
protein intake as well as just healthy eating over all. I

The Waste Of The State Of America 's Food Waste
Mr. Wisland, I have been doing research on food waste in Athens, Ohio. The goal of my research is
to find a plausible solution to the waste. To begin the gathering of information, I searched through
the Ohio University ArticlesPlus Database to find any journals that I could find pertaining to the
state of America's food waste, how we can make a difference, and what has already been
implemented to make a change. This was my way of looking at the amount of food wasted from a
bigger perspective. I found four sources on the issue as a whole, to which I have included in my
annotated bibliography. All sources have a primary focus on statistics of food waste in America, and
finding a solution to the problem that we have created. The statistics ... Show more content on

The easiest way to reach all consumers at large would to host media campaigns through
commercials, television, news articles, and anything else along those lines. It is vital that consumers
learn because around 73% of consumers think that they waste less than the average person, however,
there is still over $165 billion worth of food wasted. From there, I knew that I had to dig into food
waste just a bit deeper to find the information that I needed pertaining to Athens, Ohio. I searched
for sustainability and food waste programs or groups on Ohio University's campus to find out just
how bad food waste is in our town. I found two different groups: Athens' Food Rescue, and Athens
Hocking Recycling Center. Both of these groups have a similar mission, and that is to reduce food
waste, promote environmental health, and building a community around the food in Athens county
that would normally be thrown away. Athens' Food Rescue was one of my favorite groups to listen
to as they collect surplus food from places around Athens and redistribute it to the homeless, hungry,
or low income people. In my opinion, this is the best solution to food waste in Athens, as we are
living in one of the most low–income towns in all of Ohio. I learned that Athens Hocking Recycling
Center offers compost services throughout all of Hocking and Athens. They offer five, seven, or

Executive summary:
In 1990 Nestlé Refrigerated Food Company, NRFC, subsidiary of Nestlé S.A, had to decide about
the launch of a refrigerated pizza, under the name of Contadina pizza, continuing the build of the
refrigerated food category it started few years ago with the launch of the Contadina pasta and

–$18 million would be dedicated to promotion and advertising, based on what 37% of overall
awareness was used in the forecast. )
The results (see exhibits A,B,C,D ) show that:
–at 24% user penetration the option A (pizza kit plus toppings) would allow a margin of $12,570
millions while the option B (pizza only) let a total factory sales amount of $35,137 well below the
$45,000 millions basic business requirements.
–the exhibit 21 shows for the "top two box" a noticeable difference between the Contadina users and
non users, it gets obvious then that the amount of the percentage of brand users will heavily affect
the results. For that reason we set different scenarios assuming various user penetrations: 5% 10%
15% and 20%, the option A results start insuring the NRFC threshold at a minimum user penetration
of 7%.
So these numbers recommend the introduction of the refrigerated pizza with the toppings option.
Let's have a look on the concept test for the pizza comparing to that for the Contadina pasta and
sauces: * For the pasta we can see (exhibit 6) that 26% of total surveyed persons perceive it as a
fresh product, only 8% think its price is too high, and 61% found nothing dislikable in it. * About
the pizza (exhibit 19) 26% found it too expensive comparing to the take out or delivery one, even

La Bella Pizza Bistro is a pizza place that serves you good food, that is close to campus and is
reasonably priced. I have grown up around pizza being from Stony Brook, Long Island. Pizza is one
of my favorite dishes. Due to me being from Long Island, however, I am somewhat of a pizza snob.
This is due to the indubitable fact that the New York City area has the best pizza on the planet. The
fact it is hard for me to eat pizza from places that are not Long Island. This is because I constantly

because when I did, it I felt awkward and snobbish. The reason for this is because when you choose
a restaurant you are going there because you might like it and I personally consider it rude to ask

close minded to ask that question as it implies that you will judge the restaurant of their choice of

Persuasive Essay Pizza
The smell of melting mozzarella cheese and the baking of bread fills the house, luring everyone to
the kitchen. Pizza is popular and shared all over the world. Homemade pizza can be enjoyed
socially, as a healthy substitute to processed alternatives, and can be prepared for individual
preference. Regardless of why you eat pizza, homemade pizza requires specific steps like gathering
the ingredients, preparing the pizza, and baking in a specific manner.
Going to the market and finding fresh ingredients to make pizza can be a pleasant experience.
Seeing all the varieties of meats in the deli, and the array of color of the vegetables in the produce
aisle opens all the possibilities that can be used on a homemade pizza. Pizza meats can include:
pepperoni, ham, prosciutto, chicken, bacon, sausage, and pancetta. Seafood, although less common,
can be used as a pizza topping as well, such as shrimp, sardines, or anchovies. Vegetables are very
common in pizza, and they can include: tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, artichoke hearts, ... Show

Analysis: Lemon Cheesecake Cannoli And Chicken Salsa
This week in lab, we completed the Iron Chef challenge. For this challenge, we had to create two
dishes using the secret ingredient–flour tortillas–and ingredients from a list as well as proteins. Our
curveball was that we had to use a food processor for one of our dishes. My group I made a Lemon
Cheesecake Cannoli and a Chicken Salsa. The cannoli filling consisted of cream cheese, lemon
pudding, lemon juice, and vanilla extract; the shell was made from a flour tortilla. It was topped off
with granola and powdered sugar. Some of the salsa ingredients were chicken, turkey bacon,
chipotle chilies in adobo sauce, chickpeas, tomatoes, onion, garlic, lime juice, and cheese. It was
served with homemade tortilla chips. For the first two days in the lab, Autumn and I focused on
making the cannoli while Tailhya and Emily focused on making the salsa. Prepping all the
ingredients took about 15 minutes. To the make the cannoli, we first mixed up the ingredients for the
filling in the food processor. This took about 20 minutes because the cream cheese made the filling
very thick, so we had to keep adding some amounts of lemon juice to soften it up. Frying the cannoli
shells only took about 5 minutes because the oil was very hot, so they cooked quickly. To make the

more sweet ingredients to the lemon filling so that it wouldn't have been so tangy. Also, I wouldn't
have used so much oil when frying the cannoli so that they wouldn't be as soggy and a little more

LIQUIDITY One determinant of a company's debt capacity is the liquidity of its assets. An asset is
liquid if it can be readily converted to cash, while a liability is liquid if it must be repaid in the near
future. Liquidity is the company's working capital, current ration and acid–test ration. The
components of Liquidity are Working Capital, Current Ratio and Acid Test Ratio. The Working
Capital measures both the company's effectiveness and it's immediate financial health. The working
capital ration is calculated by subtracting the current assets from the current liabilities. The Working

What would college students eat without pizza? Pizza is often thought of as a Italian food ,which it

Decreasing My Ecological Footprint
"One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." In this report, I will outlay four different

However, just as each beach is made up of single, seemingly insignificant grains of sand, this world

Over the past four months, my wife and I have made 46 different trips to the grocery store or just
over 11 trips per month. We use, on average, between four and six grocery bags per trip. Instead of
using the plastic bags given to us by the grocers, we could bring reusable shopping bags to save
roughly 55 bags a month.
Wasted grocery bags is not the only place that a difference could be made in my shopping habits.
Nearly all goods, when purchased, come with some form of packaging and, in many cases, there is a
lot of wasted packaging. Some companies offer their customers the option to choose a product that
is less wasteful. For example, frozen pizzas generally come in square boxes. Inside each box is the
pizza wrapped in a plastic casing. One company recently changed the shape of their pizza to a
square and eliminated the need for two layers of packaging. Now there is no box, only one plastic
wrapping.
On average I consume 3 frozen pizzas every month. If I choose to support the environmentally
friendly company, I can avoid wasting 36 boxes a year; and that is only as it relates to frozen pizzas.
The overall effect, as it reaches into all the products I buy, will be much

Strategies & Strategic Management
When we talk about the strategic management practices of organisations, it is first necessary to
understand what strategic management is. It is considered that organisations exist for a purpose and
this purpose is well stated in the organisation's mission statement. A strategy refers to the plans
made by management of an organisation to develop and sustain competitive advantage so that the
organisation's mission is accomplished. Strategic management is a process by which the

Comparisons With The Creation Of A Pizza Story
Everyone has a story. A story of where we come from, why we do the things we do, and why we
believe in the things we do. Similarly, everything has a story which also includes where it
originated, who invented or created it, and why it was created. More often than not, stories overlap.
Such is the case of how pizza overlaps with my story. My pizza story begins in a car on one cool fall
afternoon when I was about four years old. I remember being in the back seat with my two little
sisters, Consuelo and Neyda, while my dad drove and my mom sat next to him. We had just got
done running some errands and we were all hungry. At the red light, my dad turned around and
asked me and my sisters what we wanted for dinner. I immediately exclaimed, "Pizza!" Consuelo
and Neyda seemed to agree as they started chanting, "Pizza! Pizza! Pizza!" My dad turned to look at
my mom and asked her if that was okay, she agreed and so we headed over to Cici's Pizza. Once
there, my sisters and I waited impatiently for our parents to pay, so that we could head over to a
table and take a seat. We then waited for our mom to serve us pepperoni pizza. I believe that because
of this story, my favorite way to consume pizza is surrounded by friends and family since something
crazy is sure to always happen.

OK, after letting it be for 10 minutes, the yeast mixture has matured and is now ready to be added to
the flour. Sip it very slowly as you mix it gently. You can stir with your fingers assuming you

exactly know what is going on or doesn't want to tell us the truth. He says, "I'm likely to tell it
falsely" (7). We can recognize him as an unreliable narrator.
The way the author chose to tell the story reminds me of when you hear a story over a couple of
beers with a close friend. Maybe the stream of time gets tripped up, maybe they backtrack or fib, but
you know that you're in for a good tale anyway. I like a story like that. It makes this story very
relatable and personal for the reader.
"Trauma Plate" – This story was told from the perspective of three different characters, and at three
different points in time. The entire story is told in 3nd

Descriptive Essay About Pizza Antico

  • 1. Descriptive Essay About Pizza Antico The yellow–orange glow from the lights outside glistened off the plates holding the delicious, well– prepared, and photogenic food. The soft hum of the hustle and bustle of Santana Row along with the crowds on the sidewalks filled the air with liveliness. Located in the heart of Santana Row, Pizza Antica creates Italian dishes that are true works of art. At its reasonable price, this restaurant is ideal for a "treat yourself" kind of day, or a semi–formal date night due to the incorporation of the classic pizzeria style that keeps the atmosphere light and casual. Pizza Antica is a part of the Bacchus Management Group family of restaurants, and this specific location opened 10 years ago and has taken off ever since. The restaurant's environment simulates the streets of Rome, but the freshness of the ingredients makes me feel like I am right in my backyard. The atmosphere that emitted from Pizza Antica made me feel at home–it radiated a relaxed and uplifting vibe, and the food was marvelous: I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. One of the two aspects Pizza Antica provided that made my night that much better was the ambiance–it was casual and it made me feel comfortable. The atmosphere was casual and comforting because of the environment and people that surrounded me. Walking towards Pizza Antica, I noticed that the outside seating had around 10–15 tables and it did not looked too clustered. After waiting for about an hour, my group and I ended up securing a ... He pushed me down. I fell. My face hit the sidewalk. Hard. I could see blood everywhere. "Emma!" "What? Why are you looking at me that way?" I asked. "Emma, you were saying something about a finish line, and how close it was." my mom answered with a worried look on her face. "Phf it was just a dream." I said "Oh okay, get ready for school." she said not believing me at all. That was the fifth time I had that dream this week. At least it's friday, I thought. When I got to school my friend Ally walked over "Guess what day it is?" she asked in a sing–song voice. "What?" I asked. "Friday the 13th." Ally said. Ally is really into the supernatural, and that friday the 13th is evil. "So, will you ghost hunting with me?" Ally asked. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... "Okay, but it's only 9:10." We all agreed pizza would be good, Ash said we should walk so we did. Once we had got there i realized the place was old and beat up. When you walked in and looked to the right the walls were lined with movie posters, normal right? Wrong! These movies on the posters had come out in the 1800's. "Hello and welcome to Sally's pizza place." a girl said with a frown on her face. The girl had long black hair with green tips, she also had very pale skin. She kind of looked like a vampire to me because to top it all off she was wearing all black. "Hi can i have a cheese pizza?" Ally asked smiling trying to be friendly. He was told as a young man, by the men who had been to America, which he needs to go with enough money to start a business to be able to make in America. So he saved enough money to take his family and himself to America and to open a pizzeria. After getting it dislodged from her throat Sylvia noticed that it was a piece of plastic that had caused her to choke. • 12. Essay about Developing My Critical Thinking Skills Given the especially large number of students you see each semester, I don't expect any recollection of my presence in your COMM150 class–– I certainly wasn't an exemplary enough student to have left any lasting memories (which is both good and bad). But I wanted to share with you a small anecdote, because four years later I've realized that your class served as an important catalyst in the development of my critical thinking abilities. As a freshmen at the Altoona campus, I took your class on a whim because I needed a Comm class. Of course I was 'confident' (re: cocky) in my abilities, so I didn't study for exams and ended up in a bad place part–way through the semester. That's when you offered an extra–credit assignment that required ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I didn't 'get it' then––but I certainly do now. Do the Right Thing is a 1989 film by Spike Lee. According to Entertainment Weekly, it is one of the 25 most controversial films ever. It was deemed culturally significant by the Library of Congress in 1999, and then placed in the National Film Registry. The story follows the lives of citizens of the Bedford–Stuyvesant District in New York City, on the hottest day of the summer, and what they do to cope with the heat. To summarize the entire plot–it ends in a riot. I'd like to analyze some of the situations found in the movie, and discuss how, if at all, it related to race relations in America. When watching the film, I wasn't overly interested in the plot. Nothing interesting happened (until the end of the movie) and there was nothing that made me (as a viewer) intrigued to continue watching. What I found important, however, was the character portrayals in the movie, and this is what kept me watching. I'm not sure what Lee wanted from this movie, because to me, it seemed as if he was being a) overtly racist towards non African–Americans, and b) stereotypical of his own race. Throughout the movie I was astounded by the portrayal of the black characters in this movie. Specifically, Buggin' Out's character. While I realize that the character's name is a direct reference to his personality, I think Lee went a bit too far. For example, when the white cyclist accidentally scuffed his ... Pops By Victor Lavalle Analysis In the story, pops by Victor LaValle, the main character is a young boy who is 11 years old who in the story is meeting with his father for the first time in a long time. The setting of the story brings the two of them in a pizza place eating pizza as the young boy tries to get comfortable with his father. "I waited to see if he was the kind of guy to blow his dick out if I cursed a little. My mom was like that. He didn't squawk." Anthony, the young boy, was trying to see what type of guy his Dad was by throwing curse words and making up stories of how he got into fights, comparing his mom's attitude from his dad's. He did not receive any type of reaction from Louis, which made the relationship towards Anthony, feel more like a friend figure than a father figure. As the conversation went further in the story, Anthony become more and more comfortable with his father where than in the beginning of the story, "I'd laughed extra hard because I was too damn nervous." where he asked less questions. "I looked at his face, it was big and not too pretty, but something about him was nice. I could see someone trusting him." Anthony observed his father's actions and appearance as well as was curious to know more information about his father. Most of his thoughts were analyzed in his head whereas in the beginning of the story, he was scared to let out. The conversation between father and son was not awkward even though there was stares here and there. Anthony saying this shows the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There were toilet bowls, slides that go up walls and you go back down backwards, and some of them even went straight down! The people that were on them looked like they were having a lot of fun. Summary: Tipping Economy When you order pizza, there's a kind of dance that is set in motion: a staff person takes your order, fresh pies are made on the spot and then another person in the team brings it right to your front door. And, as the team at La Crosse, WI's South Lanes Pizza can tell you, while most are accustomed to tipping in restaurants–where food travels a few feet–it's a shame that many don't provide the same courtesy to food and pizza delivery people. In a number ways, it's crucial for you to provide a gratuity for your delivery person just as you would wait–staff. • 26. The Course Of My Behavior Change Project Over the course of my behavior change project, I ran into several obstacles and the outcome was not quite what I had expected. There ae a few things that I learned during this project from the outrageous cost of healthy food, to what I really struggle with in terms of heathy eating. I started with the intention of eating healthy, but towards the end of the first month, I realized just how costly that can be because I am but a poor college student on a tight budget and sadly I burned a lot of my food budget on fruits and veggies. That was quite an eye opener for me. I also learned that it was not always the content of my meals, but also the size. My wife is much smaller than me and I really started to watch how she eats as opposed to how I eat. Her serving sizes were always much smaller. This taught me a thing or two about what I should be putting on my plate. I also know now that pizza is literally my kryptonite. I know I am doing this BCP, I know I want to lose weight, I know that I want to be healthy, but when I get around pizza I am like a drug addict that can only focus on my drug (pizza). I need to format my lifestyle to stay away from pizza places as much as humanly possible because I will it until it hurts. The outcome. During my BCP, I also started drinking a lot of water and started to attend the gym a lot more than I was previously. During this time, I noticed a lot more muscle mass due to the real protein intake as well as just healthy eating over all. I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

To begin the gathering of information, I searched through the Ohio University ArticlesPlus Database to find any journals that I could find pertaining to the state of America's food waste, how we can make a difference, and what has already been implemented to make a change. This was my way of looking at the amount of food wasted from a bigger perspective. I found four sources on the issue as a whole, to which I have included in my annotated bibliography. All sources have a primary focus on statistics of food waste in America, and finding a solution to the problem that we have created. The statistics ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The easiest way to reach all consumers at large would to host media campaigns through commercials, television, news articles, and anything else along those lines. It is vital that consumers learn because around 73% of consumers think that they waste less than the average person, however, there is still over $165 billion worth of food wasted. From there, I knew that I had to dig into food waste just a bit deeper to find the information that I needed pertaining to Athens, Ohio. I searched for sustainability and food waste programs or groups on Ohio University's campus to find out just how bad food waste is in our town. I found two different groups: Athens' Food Rescue, and Athens Hocking Recycling Center. Both of these groups have a similar mission, and that is to reduce food waste, promote environmental health, and building a community around the food in Athens county that would normally be thrown away. Athens' Food Rescue was one of my favorite groups to listen to as they collect surplus food from places around Athens and redistribute it to the homeless, hungry, or low income people. In my opinion, this is the best solution to food waste in Athens, as we are living in one of the most low–income towns in all of Ohio. For this challenge, we had to create two dishes using the secret ingredient–flour tortillas–and ingredients from a list as well as proteins. Our curveball was that we had to use a food processor for one of our dishes. My group I made a Lemon Cheesecake Cannoli and a Chicken Salsa. The cannoli filling consisted of cream cheese, lemon pudding, lemon juice, and vanilla extract; the shell was made from a flour tortilla. It was topped off with granola and powdered sugar. Some of the salsa ingredients were chicken, turkey bacon, chipotle chilies in adobo sauce, chickpeas, tomatoes, onion, garlic, lime juice, and cheese. It was served with homemade tortilla chips. For the first two days in the lab, Autumn and I focused on making the cannoli while Tailhya and Emily focused on making the salsa. Prepping all the ingredients took about 15 minutes. To the make the cannoli, we first mixed up the ingredients for the filling in the food processor. This took about 20 minutes because the cream cheese made the filling very thick, so we had to keep adding some amounts of lemon juice to soften it up. • 62. Personal Narrative: Decreasing My Ecological Footprint Decreasing My Ecological Footprint "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." In this report, I will outlay four different methods by which I can reduce my ecological footprint. The point could certainly be argued that one person will never make a difference, that my footprint is just too insignificant to worry about. However, just as each beach is made up of single, seemingly insignificant grains of sand, this world is made up of billions of "single" people. Working all together, a giant leap will be achieved. I will explain how changing my habits in the ways that I charge my electronics, shop, deal with waste and drive will decrease my ecological footprint. Charging electronics is necessary in today's world. I need and use both ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Over the past four months, my wife and I have made 46 different trips to the grocery store or just over 11 trips per month. We use, on average, between four and six grocery bags per trip. Instead of using the plastic bags given to us by the grocers, we could bring reusable shopping bags to save roughly 55 bags a month. Wasted grocery bags is not the only place that a difference could be made in my shopping habits. Nearly all goods, when purchased, come with some form of packaging and, in many cases, there is a lot of wasted packaging. Some companies offer their customers the option to choose a product that is less wasteful. For example, frozen pizzas generally come in square boxes. Inside each box is the pizza wrapped in a plastic casing. One company recently changed the shape of their pizza to a square and eliminated the need for two layers of packaging. Now there is no box, only one plastic wrapping. On average I consume 3 frozen pizzas every month. If I choose to support the environmentally friendly company, I can avoid wasting 36 boxes a year; and that is only as it relates to frozen pizzas. The overall effect, as it reaches into all the products I buy, will be much ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 64. Pizza Tradition: Troy Schenectady Road BASEBALL PRACTICE After Sunday Mass, I was feeling hungry myself and decided to pick–up a slice of pizza at Roman Pizza on Troy Schenectady Road. There aren't many places to eat Italian food In Latham so when our family experienced the munchies for pizza we would end up at Roman Pizza. Being half Italian on my mother's side, I was justified in saying that this place was "molto bene." At other pizzerias around Albany, there was always an excuse why they didn't have Sicilian style slices ready to order. It was either "Sicilian pie doesn't sell well" or "Sicilian pies take too long to bake." But at Roman Pizza they always have a Sicilian house pie for slices. For a moment, I imagined scooping the orange, raspberry, and lemon–lime mixture with an oversized spoon. Just by looking at the sky, I felt as if I could almost taste these flavors in my mouth, which gave me a strange satisfaction. A gust of warm air abruptly interrupted my daydream to welcome me to Cocoa Beach properly. These engulfing winds danced all around me before hugging my body completely and knocking me off– balance. I had never thought I was good at interacting with children until this moment. There were twenty–one of us altogether including myself, my girlfriend, her four nephews, niece, eight cousins, two aunts, two uncles, her mother, and her grandmother. Her mom and aunt had just come back from the boardwalk where there were multiple restaurants and bars. They took over the duty of watching the kids while me, my girlfriend and I walked to the boardwalk to grab a bite to eat. About halfway up the boardwalk, was a bar and restaurant that had a couple of tables open. We sat down at the circular wooden tables and proceeded to look at the menu. I ordered ten traditional wings tossed in buffalo sauce with a side of crinkle fries. I also ordered a Pina Colada to celebrate the occasion. I had a striking view of the beach from where we were sitting. I could see crowds of people directly below me as far out as the opposite end of the beach. The sky mesmerized me once again; this time it was slightly more pink than before. Red hues blended into the blue backdrop which created light purplish spots all 3 over. The sun floated on top of the ocean creating an entrancing glitter effect. The waitress approached our table with four piping hot plates of food. For one thing, to be successful in a competitive and ever– changing business environment, corporations will have to outperform others by increasing globalization, improve the customer experience, have flexible and efficient operations, hire talent, as well as, have advanced technology. • 72. Comparisons With The Creation Of A Pizza Story Everyone has a story. A story of where we come from, why we do the things we do, and why we believe in the things we do. Similarly, everything has a story which also includes where it originated, who invented or created it, and why it was created. More often than not, stories overlap. Such is the case of how pizza overlaps with my story. My pizza story begins in a car on one cool fall afternoon when I was about four years old. I remember being in the back seat with my two little sisters, Consuelo and Neyda, while my dad drove and my mom sat next to him. We had just got done running some errands and we were all hungry. At the red light, my dad turned around and asked me and my sisters what we wanted for dinner. I immediately exclaimed, "Pizza!" Consuelo and Neyda seemed to agree as they started chanting, "Pizza! Pizza! Pizza!" My dad turned to look at my mom and asked her if that was okay, she agreed and so we headed over to Cici's Pizza. Once there, my sisters and I waited impatiently for our parents to pay, so that we could head over to a table and take a seat. We then waited for our mom to serve us pepperoni pizza. I believe that because of this story, my favorite way to consume pizza is surrounded by friends and family since something crazy is sure to always happen. Since pizza is served daily at my college's cafeteria, I usually eat pizza ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... OK, after letting it be for 10 minutes, the yeast mixture has matured and is now ready to be added to the flour. Sip it very slowly as you mix it gently. You can stir with your fingers assuming you washed your hands, of course. Now you can add salt and Olio Olivo Extra Virgine. Little by little, the mix will be turning from sticky to a nice fresh dough. If it seems too dry, add a bit more water. If you feel it's too watery, add more flour. When all the mass from the mixing bowl is now one compact mass, take it out and place it onto a clean tabletop surface – it's time to kneed! Oh yeah, don't be shy now, even the big boys do it. You can close your window if you feel your pride is in danger, but you'll get the last laugh anyway. To prevent the dough from sticking, sprinkle some flour over the surface and start kneeding with a lower palm of your stronger hand. Press it, fold over, then press again and do that for about 7–8 minutes. You know you're done when the dough becomes compact and gummy to some extent. • 76. Sarah Cole : A Type Of Love Story A. "Orientation"– This story is told in 2nd Person POV, and this makes it feel as if you are being spoken directly to about your new job. In the end, when it is revealed, "Kevin Howard sits in that cubicle over there. He is a serial killer" (488), it feels more shocking, more absurd and scary than it would if the reader were more distanced from the story. It was an excellent choice by the author. "Twilight of the Superheroes" – "Sarah Cole: A Type of Love Story" – This story starts out in 2nd person POV, "for I must tell you that Sarah was very homely" (1). The POV switches between 3rd person and 2nd person, depending on if the reader is following the action through the characters or listening to the narrator talk directly to the reader. "No, that's not exactly true..." (7) he says, and we realize that the narrator may not exactly know what is going on or doesn't want to tell us the truth. He says, "I'm likely to tell it falsely" (7). We can recognize him as an unreliable narrator. The way the author chose to tell the story reminds me of when you hear a story over a couple of beers with a close friend. Maybe the stream of time gets tripped up, maybe they backtrack or fib, but you know that you're in for a good tale anyway. I like a story like that. It makes this story very relatable and personal for the reader. "Trauma Plate" – This story was told from the perspective of three different characters, and at three different points in time.
