3. Description & Purpose Tie-dye is a design Done by folding material into a pattern then binding it with string or rubber band. Designs are formed by applying different colours of dyes to different sections of the wet fabric. Once complete, the material is rinsed, and the dye is set. Hippies thought it allowed them to express their high sprits and individuality
4. Longevity As soon as the Hippie movement started to die out so did tie-dye Other fashions replaced it In rare occasions found on other pieces of clothing; suttle (prices can vary)
5. Product Life Cycle Decline No company that sells tie-dye shirts Sometimes in certain designs Now people choose to do it as a craft but not a fashion choice
