1. SHIBORI is the Japanese word for a variety of ways of embellishing textiles by shaping
cloth and securing it before dyeing. The word comes from the verb root shiboru, "to
wring, squeeze, press". Doneoncottonandsilk.
There are 6 techniques of shibori :
Itajime shibori
Nui shibori
Arashi shibori
Kumo shibori
Miura shibori

WHAT I LEARNT
We often see a lot of patterns around us or clothes which
have different kinds of prints and patterns that we're
unaware about. But, finally i got to learn a lot about different
techniques of printing and how to incorporate motifs from
nature and, then making them into a pattern.
Hand done things somehow add more value o the work.
