front cover. I did
this using
Photoshop.

I then took the photos
of my chosen model. I
took a lot of photos so I
had a variety of photos
to pick and work with.
For example I
alternated between full
body shots and mid
shots.
I placed my main
image onto my front
cover. I placed it and
resized it to how I
wanted it. I also
edited the photo to
create effect on the
photo to make sure it
suited the front
cover and the music
genre.
I then made final
touches to my
front cover. I
added a stroke
effect to most of
my text to make
it stand out more
and made sure
all text was
readable.
I then added some competition
onto my front page. I said the
winner would win tickets to see a
band. I made sure the band’s name
was in the font the band actually
uses, to grab fans who know the
band. I also made the promotion
big with bold colors to stand out. I
then made sure everything was
symmetrical using the ruler tool.
I then turned my
concentration onto
my contents page,
which I stared by
using the ruler tool
to mark out where I
want conventions
and picture.

On my contents
page I used the
ruler tool to lay
out guidelines
for what I
wanted and
where.
I then copied over
my signature from
my preliminary
task in
preparation for
my editorial.
I then wrote down
all my contents for
my contents page
on word ready for
me to copy over
when finished.
Copy over text from the
word document into
my documents page, I
then placed it in
relevant text boxes and
I then made sure they
fitted into the text
boxes.
I planned a photo shot and I
made sure that the model
and the props would be
ready.

I then picked photos
that I liked and
narrowed the choice
to one to use for my
front cover. I placed
the main cover photo
in the appropriate
place on the front
cover; I then sized it
to an appropriate
size.
I then made sure
all conventions on
the page were
equally spaced out
and that nothing
was over lapping
anything.
I then completed
my editorial ready
for my contents
page so that I
could just copy
over the text. I also
have to take an
editor’s photo.
I placed in the
editorial and
editors photo. I
then researched
whether it was
best to make my
magazine
published weekly
or monthly.
