2. @jqshelton07
When I first set up my PLN on
Twitter, I started out by only
following 20 groups/ people/
organizations. Now I am
following 40 and I am constantly
checking my account to see
what is new in terms of the
news, educational ideas, etc.
The other thing is that I am
starting to feel more comfortable
contributing, at this point, just by
tweeting, but eventually I believe
I will be ready to join in on
discussion.
4. @inspiredLm
Inspired Learning
Inspired learning is dedicated to helping
Albertan teachers solve problems and
explore new ideas in every aspect of
education. I find that if I am questioning
something, I can usually find a related
tweet on their page that is helpful or can
at least lead me in the right direction, this
is a great organization to follow.
5. @edmontonjournal
Edmonton Journal
I am following the Edmonton Journal
because I am not a subscriber to the
daily paper, and this is a great alternative
to keeping up on current events in our
city as well as in the world. As an
educator it is important for me to keep
connected especially with the news.
7. My Contributions Continued
The previous slide was a screen shot of the
latest tweets/retweets from my account. I
know that it is not much, but up until now I
have not really been comfortable with
contributing much more. I know that
especially next term when I am student
teaching, I will be able to contribute and
collaborate more on Twitter with other
users because I will feel more like I belong.
As a pre-service teacher, I feel like I don’t
quite belong, or that I am not yet qualified
to contribute in those ways.
