the internet for teaching. She tweets articles pertaining to a
wide-range of subjects – from math to English. She also
tweets about the day in the life as a teacher, which helps
future educators feel more prepared. She is fairly active and
tweets multiple times a day and also runs a blog where she
posts various tools and ideas for in and outside the
4. Steven David Horwich is a writer and an educator whose
works have been recognized with an Emmy. He has skill in
acting, writing, and directing and has done of this while he
home-schooled his children by himself. He tweets contain
many links to resources that parents can utilize at home, but
of course teachers can find good tools there too. If a parent
comes to me and asks what they can do for their child if they

5. The Find Your Light Foundation was started by Josh
Groban, a singer/songwriter who is well-known for his
rendition of “You Raise Me Up.” He is a man who
advocates education for all students, focusing on the
importance of the arts. I have donated to this organization,
and rather than visiting the website, I can simply review
news about it quickly through Twitter to see where the
money goes and what it does. The account posts updates

7. PLN Participation

As a social media site, Twitter has provided me with various sources
of information, ideas, and discussions which can help my future
teaching career.

My Twitter account focuses on various education-related accounts in
the hopes of gaining insight and ideas on various teaching practices –
in general and for English Language arts

I really enjoy looking at Tweets under #education #englishlanguage
(from what I've seen, it's a lot of students and others complaining
about the language and class, which is interesting to me as a future
teacher [it allows me to see what I might need to avoid later on]), and
#specialeducation
●
With these hashtags, I have many interesting articles and ideas which
I share by retweeting them. I'm not very into tweeting myself, but by
sharing information, I can still be an active member of the community
