1. My personal reflection on PLN!!

2. I started out annoyed…
In the beginning of this course, I had a very pessimistic outlook towards the PLN
altogether. That pessimism has been reduced greatly thanks to this class illustrating the
utility in some applications. Honestly, the degree of ignorance I had in the beginning was
quite staunch.
My PLN has improved as a result because I have taken it more seriously, and because I
have followed people on Twitter. I can get direct tweets from Andrew Coyne, a very
respected journalist whom works for the NationalPost. I am also following
TheGlobeAndMail for news updates, and the NationalPost politics section along with their
economics section. I am going to be a Social Studies teacher for high school; so much of
this information can be useful to keep me informed with topics that may pertain to
relevant events and vice-versa.

3. Seriously, Edmodo is just cool!
But applications like twitter, Edmodo, and Pinterest. Although it was more recent than the
other, the game changer was sealed with Edmodo. I really can see myself using this in the
classroom, or to assign homework. It is quite brilliant.

4. I really look up to Andrew Coyne’s
opinions, most of the time, on politics and
the like. Now I can follow his daily
thoughts!! Woo 

5. I see the potential in teaching and solving
social media problems…
I have not had time to discuss with other professionals in online chat sessions or the like;
however, I really look forward to discussing issues such as: teachnology, social media, and
cyber bullying. It is something, I believe, that all new teachers ought to know the solution
of, or at least the first steps towards developing solutions. This class has touched on the issue
of cyber bullying, which I am very happy about. I do feel more equipped with the
appropriate knowledge than when I first began the class. Thank you, I appreciate it.
