2. Without the technologies that I used I would not have
been able to produce what I have produced from my
blog to the editing of my final film. Everything that is
listed on the first slide was crucial to aid me in my
media course. Coming to terms with the new
technologies has been a challenge but it has paid off as
you can see through out my blog as you can see I have
presented the information on there in many ways, sites
like YouTube has made my blog interactive and easy to
display both my film and other peoples film as my
research…
3. YouTube is a platform where people can upload any
video also people can comment on there favourite
video and even like it. I used YouTube to allow me to
post mine and other peoples videos on my blog, I also
used it to gain feedback from my final short film, it
allowed me to see how many people had viewed it and
more importantly look at what peoples opinions where
about my film as some people left comments. YouTube
was also essential to the research of short film, I was
able to look at hundreds of films which in turn
inspired me to create mine.
4. These are some screen shots from my final film, just showing the functions
of likes and of comments. As you can see we have 55 views and 5 likes and 1 dislike,
also this is just a screen shot of one of our comments.
5. I had used iMovie before in As media, however in A2
the old iMovie had been updated to the latest version.
I didn’t know how to use this at first and this was a
worry for me as I use it a lot for editing my films.
Through research and a lot of use I became accustom
to the new layout and new options. iMovie is essential
to my work as I edit all of my practice videos and my
final short film, the new iMovie opened up loads of
different editing options and I took advantage of this
as you can see in my final video.
6. This is a screen shot of the bottom
Editing bar on iMovie.
This is a screen shot
of the hole of iMovie
whilst I was editing
my film.
7. All media products now are designed and created to
work together. For example I could type a paragraph
on Microsoft word, I could then send this to myself via
email, once I have done this I could either go on a
different computer and be able to access it and edit it,
but also I could get it up on newer medias like my
mobile phone and tablets.
Also another example is an iPhone or any other smart
phone, you are able to access a number of things, like
the internet, all social networking sites, interactive
games, world maps, watching videos on YouTube or
sharing photos, TV catch-up apps.
8. New media has made things such as music, videos and
photos accessible globally 24/7, all you need to access
them is an internet connection. With the development
of 3g anyone is able to connect to the internet
anywhere you don’t need to be near a rooter to get Wi-
Fi or have to use an Ethernet connection.
For example a recently a YouTube sensation ,PSY a
singer from Korea got 1,250,995,654 views from around
the world.
