This Case assignment has 5 parts:
· Create a benefit plan for a fictitious company you select. First, select the mandated parts of the benefits plan you want to offer your employees. What are the laws that mandate these benefits?
· Develop another list of additional benefits or perks you want to use to attract new talent.
· Explain in great detail why you selected each benefit or perk and why you did not select others.
· What additional benefits not mentioned in the readings do other employers offer that make them one of the companies that people want to work for?
· As you know, health insurance coverage is not always provided to employees. What are the laws surrounding when employers are required to offer health insurance coverage to its employees?
You have a choice: Your submission can be a 3- to 4-page Word document (not counting the cover page or the reference page), a 10- to 12-slide presentation (not counting the cover slide or reference list slide), or a 4-page informational flyer to hand out to the company’s new employees.
If you opt to create a PowerPoint presentation, remember that workers want to see presentations that have five words and a picture on every slide, and the pictures must be of real people, preferably employees of the company giving the presentation. Make your presentation colorful yet professional, preferably with only one font style, though a couple of different font sizes may be used.
If you opt to create a 4-page informational flyer for employees, make it colorful yet professional. Use no more than three different font styles on the pages.
Utilize at least three valid sources of information, at least two of them peer-reviewed academic journal articles from the Trident Online Library. Citing sources of information in the text as well as in the reference list at the end of your assignment is required.

Review the required background readings for this Module, paying special attention to the differences between mandated and voluntary benefits and perks. As you have learned, some benefits are required by law while others are voluntarily offered by employers to entice new talent. After reading the article,Types of Employee Benefits and Perks, for an overview of the employee benefits area, conduct additional research regarding the different employee benefits offered today to employees by employers.

Impact of cloud on the operating system:
From the last decade usage of the internet has been increasing
very rapidly because as we all are depending on the internet for
the information. Various ranges of internet-enabled devices that
provide access to web making people shift towards the web and
that made to change the information sharing ways from the
traditional. The Web is a platform that contains interlinked
hypertext documents placed on the internet and they provide us
the information in the form of text, images, videos, and various
3. other types. With rapid advancements in technology Operating
systems are experiencing a lot of changes to meet the latest
requirements of the users. Initially, the operating system was
able to perform on a single system only, but now they can be
accessed by different people over the internet to perform
multiple tasks. At present cloud computing technology is
emerging very fast. This technology helps in the collaboration
of devices to reduce the dependency on platform and
compatibility so that users can access the data or applications
from any remote place on any device via a web browser. As
cloud computing and web-enabled devices are getting more into
use, these are influencing the operating system to make better
improvements and reducing the usage of hardware. (Richardo
Puttini, 2013)
The concept of virtualization and technologies like Hyper V,
VMware helps to enable different operating systems on one
platform. Those technologies help the devices on the network to
utilize the same operating system framework and different
applications can be run in the same frame. It is very common
these days to have so many electronic gadgets for a single
person linked on the internet than to have a single desktop in
previous days. Therefore cloud computing helps in providing a
single framework for all the gadgets to access and save data
from one another. Right now we are downloading and installing
the applications on our device to access them, but in the future,
we will get web-based applications that are stored on the cloud
and can be operated from anywhere. Here, the major concept of
the web operating system is to move the operating system to the
web to have access from anywhere. This also helps in reducing
the platform and device dependency. Web OS is an interface
with platform-independent and removes compatibility issues
while using web applications and traditional ones. In the future,
the demand for web applications to be stored on the cloud will
increase as the usage of them increases. We can optimize the
use of hardware because the cloud provides the resources of
space. The effect of cloud on the operating system is that cloud
4. users can access the applications over the browsers and there
will be no need for OS just to run the browser and
hardware. (Judith Hurwitz, 2009)

Impact of Cloud on Operating Systems
The purpose of building an operating system was to perform
certain functions in a single system. With the evolution and
availability of the latest technologies, there has been a level of
flexibility imprinted by operating systems specifically for
processing various tasks to different individuals at the same
time. For this reason, the operating has evolved in a way that
most people will have the privilege of using it through the web.
Users opting to use cloud computing services and web enables
devices has given a significant impact on the traditional
operating system in different ways. The dependency on
hardware has been reduced such that the concept of
virtualization lead to the mitigation of limitation towards the
requirement of hardware for operating systems. Web OS is the
result of this scenario such that access is provided for various
programs and applications that at least have a partial
dependency over the web (Debab & Hidouci, 2018).
The traditional view towards the operating system has been
changed by the web with the increased usage of the internet
globally. As per researchers, operating systems tend to evolve
and change with the in-depth usage of the internet and the
possible advancements within this technology. With the
architectural changes in operating systems, there has been a
5. shift towards the web for the operating systems. this has been
made possible by reducing the dependency and also
virtualization concerning the available resources. The
traditional operating system has no longer been used or it is out
of date as accessing a remote browser has become easy with the
availability of the internet. The dependency over cloud
technology will be increasing with a continuous evolution but
with possible strict restrictions. In the possible future, usage of
various types of smart agents or rules concerned with the
knowledge base is utilized for a selection of a web-based cloud
operating system (Fareghzadeh & et al, 2018).
The impact of cloud over operating systems will reflect in
adverse effects. Cloud technology doesn’t need any hardware
component to work on and similarly, the operating systems in
the cloud environment do not need hardware for performing
their functions. User needs the traditional operating system in a
computer for accessing the cloud-based operating system. This
upon its characteristics is considered to be more fault-tolerant
and flexible relatively when compared to its earlier versions of
operating systems. Like the traditional operating systems, the
cloud operating systems have been developed and have various
types namely EyeOS, YouOS, and others. These operating
systems are completely functional through the medium of the
internet and flexible for usability. Cloud benefits in using an
operating system over a device or a computer that just needs a
good internet connection. As the functionalities like storage and
management of files help in the prevention of loss of data that
is not available in traditional operating systems (Leokhin &
Panfilov, 2014).
