AEROSPACE HARDWARE
 Site focalforair regulatory compliance and adherence toEU REACH regulations.
 Supported development of the Facility’sTitle V Air Operating Permit.
 Qualified and implemented chrome free aerospace primers on the V-22 and H-47 Aircraft.
 Developed the Application of sol-gel adhesion promoters on the Chinook rotor blade to
improve paint adhesion on the titanium/nickel leading edge cap assembly.
 Developed a procedure to chemically activatecured primer systems in lieu of hand sanding,
thereby reducing employee exposure to hexavalent chromium and cycletimes in the paint
shop by an estimated 75%.
 Developed Process Instructions forcomposite sections of the Model 360 Helicopter
 Coordinated the Bell-Boeing Technology Transfer Project at the Bell facility in Fort Worth,
Texas forthe V-22 TiltrotorProgram.
Specific Accomplishments
 Managed the Boeing Comprehensive Chemical Reduction Program at the Ridley Park
facility. Purpose of the program was to address the toxics reduction goals and objectivesset
forth by the Environmental ProtectionAgency in response to the 1990 Clean Air Act
Amendments.
 Managed the facility wideimplementation of Low VOC Aerospace Surface Coatings between
1990 and 1994 to comply with Federal ruling in the Aerospace NESHAP MACT Standard and
CTG Guidelines Documenton Specialty Coatings.
 Appointed as Chair on Chemical Risk forVertical Lift - Mesa and Philadelphia Sites.
FIBRE-METAL PRODUCTS COMPANY – MANUFACTURER OF PERSONAL HEAD PROTCTION AND SAFETY

 Developed proprietary resin formulations to improve dielectric strength in fiberglass hard
hats
 Managed the implementation of a thermoplastic compression molding process that reduced
cycletimes by 50%, launching a new line of low cost head protection products.
