3. Lionsgate have produced and distributed
mainly thriller movies and horror films.
A few films that are similar to mine that
they’ve produced are:
• The Cabin in the Woods
• You’re Next
• Saw
• A Love Song for Bobby Long

6. Lionsgate would then create a marketing routine to help promote the
film by creating a buzz amongst the target audience and would launch
the film once people know about it.
As Lionsgate is an independent distribution company
therefore my film would have quite a small budget of
around $8-12mil.
With this budget,
awareness of the
film would be
created through
social media sites
like Facebook and
Twitter.
7. In addition to this, 3 promotional posters will be released
all with highly positive quotes of the film on their to attract
the audience to come and watch the film.
In addition to this, a trailer will be released 4
months prior to the release of the film in the hope
that the audience ‘awareness’ turns into ‘I
definitely want to see this film’. As a result of this,
the trailer will definitely give them a taste of what
the film is all about hopefully persuading the
audience to come and watch.
For example, just like this poster:
By placing positive quotes about the film that are
sourced by well- known newspapers and other
media outlets, this persuades the audience to
come and watch the film. If these newspapers are
claiming that the film is good then surely others
will be persuaded by this to come and watch it.
