- 1. How does your media product represent particular social groups? When creating any media product you must think carefully about what social groups you are representing, such as gender, age, class, ethnicity, as you do not want to discriminate.
- 3. Age The age of the artists featured in the magazine spans from 18-26, with the target audience being 16-23. This means the target audience almost mirrors the exact age of the artists featured in the magazine, just the target audience is slightly younger, meaning they have someone to aspire to, or follow in the footsteps of. Gender The representation of gender in my magazine is predominately male. This is not done intentionally to put females off reading the magazine, but because there are a lot more male artists in electronic music, and only a few well-known female ones. From my research, I found out 83% of my readers would be male, and it may because there are so few female electronic music producers.
