How does your media product
represent particular social groups?
TARGET AUDIENCE
The target audience of my music magazine would be
Teenagers aged 13-18 years. This is gathered from the
research in my questionnaire. The model used in the
production of my magazine is a similar age of 17, this
appeals to the target audience as they may aspire to be
like the artists being able to relate to their story being of a
similar age.
My magazine represents this particular social group
through different elements of my magazine such as the
use of convergence on the front and contents page.
Teenagers are the most active users of social media ,
incorporating this feature on my magazine will make them
feel involved with the magazine, it also widens its access
to hardware such as phones which every teen in todays
society possesses.
My magazine represents this particular social group through different

with the magazine, it also widens its access to hardware such as phones
which every teen in todays society possesses.
The main artist of my magazine will be easily recognizable to my social
group , they conform to the stereotype ideologies of R&B artists in the
music industry. The cover stories and Content of my magazine is reflective
of both genders of all different ethnicities conforming to the genre of my
magazine.
The model of my magazine is of the Race black, therefore my magazine
would attract the social group of this particular ethnicity. This conforms to
the conventions of the R&B genre of my magazine as they are
stereotypically seen as people that are involved in the urban lifestyle. R&B
music typically has a urban vibe; Media represents R&B females as
seductive, attractive and stylish which is portrayed in my magazine.
In my production I have mostly represented the female gender due to the
limited photos of males and also the content focusing on females in the
R&B music industry. My magazine conforms to the stereotype of a R&B
female artist, this is shown through the colour scheme and costume code
of slightly revealing clothing.

The model used in the production of my magazine is a similar age of 17, this appeals to the target audience as they may aspire to be like the artists being able to relate to their story being of a similar age. My magazine represents this particular social group through different elements of my magazine such as the use of convergence on the front and contents page. Teenagers are the most active users of social media , incorporating this feature on my magazine will make them feel involved with the magazine, it also widens its access to hardware such as phones which every teen in todays society possesses.

The cover stories and Content of my magazine is reflective of both genders of all different ethnicities conforming to the genre of my magazine. The model of my magazine is of the Race black, therefore my magazine would attract the social group of this particular ethnicity. This conforms to the conventions of the R&B genre of my magazine as they are stereotypically seen as people that are involved in the urban lifestyle. R&B music typically has a urban vibe; Media represents R&B females as seductive, attractive and stylish which is portrayed in my magazine. In my production I have mostly represented the female gender due to the limited photos of males and also the content focusing on females in the R&B music industry.
