It would seem that with such a large population and at a rate of 17 births for every 1000 inhabitants
a year is a very large number in terms of market for products such as baby formulas. Indonesia is
also the 4th largest in terms of coffee production, another of Nestle strong businesses; its Sumatra
blend is coveted all over the world by coffee lovers. And it is the 3rd largest cocoa producer in the
world. Indonesia is relatively a very young country with a plethora of "growing pains" like trying to
step out of poverty, human rights issues, trying to deal with corruption, fight the development and
expansion of terrorism, enforcing its legal system, resolving armed conflicts with separatist groups
around the country and opening up for trade. There are some technology bursts in major urban
centers but most of its human resources still go out to the agriculture sector. Agriculture accounts for
14.3 % of its GDP with 38.3 % of the working population. This would make Indonesia an ideal
place for the production of coffee and cocoa. The dairy industry in Indonesia leaves much to be
desired though, because of its lack of proper water and distribution. Indonesia has 12 % of its
population under the poverty line about 25 million people. Water is used to feed the cows that
produce the milk, if the water is absent or not clean enough the cows will produce low quality milk.
These people not only require water in the farming and agriculture sector it is part of their daily

Albert Einstein Speech
Everyone knows about Albert Einstein and his legacy, but what you might not know is his slowed
development as a child. Einstein struggled to use language to convey his thoughts and feelings to
others; however, he admitted that it gave him more opportunities to reflect on life's elements. His
'sense of wonder' at these concepts made him pose questions which eventually led to several
breakthroughs. This oddity of Einstein distinguished him from other people. What is something
unusual about you that makes you unique? " I live in a gigantic castle! " exclaimed one boy
excitedly to the rest of his fellow classmates. That's not possible, my young self frowned and
thought to herself. Nobody lives in castles anymore. A small girl then shouted out, " My friend
named Alice has bunny ears!" triumphantly. But... that doesn't make sense! Looking back on my
childhood, I've always thought that I had no imagination or creativity. I could never remember
myself imagining something. The concept of imagination had seemed so complex to me. I've asked
myself, 'How can you see things that aren't really there?' numerous times. I regularly felt like the
odd one out because I could hardly ever imagine my own little world. It seemed as though I was the
only one who wasn't in on the big secret. All the other kids boasted about how their house is a castle
or they have what parents call an 'imaginary friend'. When I was a kid, I just saw what I saw. I
believed imagination was coming up with bizarre and beautiful things and being able to see them in
the real world. I was extremely jealous of other kids and their ability to imagine. However, I learned
as I grew up that I have my own type of imagination and creativity hidden within me. I constantly
wished to view life as colorful as the movies. I desired the power to imagine so that I could transport
myself to another world whenever I was dying of boredom. The years went by, and I still believed I
lacked imagination. But, I soon realized that my definition of imagination was incorrect all along.
Imagination is not just seeing things that you make up, in fact, it's more than that. Not all things are
restricted to its official definition. im·ag·i·na·tion noun the faculty or action of

INTRODUCTION: For a business company like Nestle the important thing is understanding their
successful work among the other companies and competitors in present market. Nestle was founded
in 1867 by a German pharmacist Henry Nestle, who launched his product Farine lactee a mixture of
wheat flour, sugar and cow's milk to save the neighbour's child. They concentrated on nutrition from
the beginning. Nestle merged an Anglo–Swiss Condensed Milk Company , founded by Americans
Charles and George Page to form a Nestle and Anglo–Swiss Milk Company. Nestle started
organising several training programmes regarding various important components of corporate
business principles since 2011. These programmes were held in order to teach the employees about
the material they use and how they function, and also many efforts were made to know about
management and leadership skills.
Nestle is focused on all the factors necessary to ensure its corporate and social responsibilities
towards their employees and their consumers. So they trained and educated their employees on the
following factors like nutrition, consumer health, wellness, quality assurance and product safety,

Breastfeeding And Human Milk Has Many Health Benefits For...
Scientific studies have shown that Breastfeeding or human milk has Many health benefits for mother
and baby that are both short and long term. Breast feeding has been endorsed by the American
Academy of Pediatrics, American Academy of Family Physicians, CDC, US Department of health
and human services, office of surgeon general along with Many others. Nearly All of the agencies
involving children provide some form of education on breastfeeding, for example when to
breastfeed, how long to breastfeed, benefits of breastfeeding, supporting breastfeeding in service or
flyer form as well as support groups/staff but none provide information on where a mother can
breastfeed when in public. Even though all agencies have come together and agreed that this country
has a problem in providing support to breastfeeding mothers. None have made initiatives to provide
a place for a mother to nurse or express milk while in public. Requiring large chain stores like
Walmart, target, Kroger and HEB post signs informing the public of a mothers the right to
breastfeed and help mothers fight against discrimination by providing guidelines for business in
order for them to provide a private area for breastfeeding mothers to feed their babies while in
public. Designating a small private space out of the public eye, for a mother to feed her baby or
express breast milk. In supporting a nursing mother, we can improve woman and children's health,
Boost the economy and improve the environment.

The Sports Industry Merged From Pure Athletic Competition
The sports industry merged from pure athletic competition into a form of entertainment long ago,
combining the event itself with technology making it available everywhere. Sports hold a valuable
place in the integrated marketing of entertainment content. The loyal fan base of each sport is a
ready and willing target for a wide variety of sponsorship, licensing and merchandising
opportunities, as well as convergence with other forms of entertainment, including television,
movies and games.
The sports industry can be divided into content (the activity or event itself), conduits (the medium
by which it is presented) and consumption (form in which to consume the sport). Plus, convergence
occurs across all platforms. Formula One (F1) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Conduit
According to F1 's official Global Broadcast Report, F1 has more than 200 broadcasters worldwide,
televised in more than 185 countries and has an annual cumulative audience of over 2.7 billion
viewers. An average of 600 million individual viewers watch each season during live broadcasts in
the world's top 20 TV markets (Formula 1 Racing, 2015). Of course, this number only includes what
we know from a broadcasting perspective; with the addition of the Internet and mobile media, the
reach is nearly unknown. Consumers have various conduits in which they can watch F1 races,
including the live sporting venues, online (Wi–Fi, Ethernet, the Internet, Coaxial cable) or on
television (digital transmission, TVRO, UHF, VHF, free–to–air, cable).
Consumption
Consumers can now consume content through a wide variety of available resources. The most
common for Formula One is attending the live event at the assorted racetracks across the globe.
Many also use their computer or laptop to stream the event online. Others will use their TV to view
the event, though this can be limited to certain channels. Channel Ten offers F1 live streaming
through their free–to–air channel and online via TenPlay. Fox Sports airs the practices, qualifying
and final races through paid TV (The Daily Telegraph, 2015). Applications, mobiles and
smartphones are also available to use.

A Trend Oriented Power System Security
A TREND ORIENTED POWER SYSTEM SECURITY ANALYSIS METHOD BASED ON
LOAD PROFILE Power system security is an important aspect in the present generation. Power
system security must also be economical. We can't predict the fault at every time, so based on trend
analysis method on load profile in this paper we are going to see the various methods which help for
the protection of the power system. So we should carefully monitor the security. By these methods
discussed in the paper we are to form security indices which helps us to calculate the faults in
advance. With these methods when problem occurs in real time we will have the security indices to
respond faster to find out the solution for the problem and also we can protect in advance.
Introduction: Power system analysis is important part of power systems. According to the
mathematical model we can divide security analysis into two types 1. Static analysis 2. Dynamic
analysis Dynamic security analysis is more focused on the behavior subsequent to a contingency,
power system oscillatory modes, frequency instability. In this paper we are going to study about
static analysis. Now moving on to the trend analysis theory it is developed from stock and
commodity markets. This analysis is majorly successful in medical and mechanical fields, now it is
widely used in electrical systems. Trend analysis theory has its own applications in electrical field
such as signal processing, load forecasting, fault

Essay The Boys Versus Corporate
1. Describe the culture for race car drives. Race car drivers of course accept a lot of risk when they
compete in a race, and believe that in order to succeed they must take risks. Some risks include
crashes with other vehicles and possible loss of life, either from crashing their cars into into the
other vehicles, inanimate objects, or other people, as with the death of Kevin Ward Jr. (Daft /
People.com)
At the same time, race car drivers receive an adrenaline rush from racing. They receive this rush
from the super–fast speeds, and pushing themselves and their cars to the edge. (Daft)

4. How can the NASCAR organization, team, and sponsors work through issues of ethics and values
to create a unified culture? Often those who aren't at the front lines don't understand the issues being
faced. The corporation must first understand the safety concerns the drivers face, and validate those
concerns as legitimate. That would go a very long way to helping the drivers feel better about the
corporation. Next, the corporation should scale back its qualifying all–cars against the clock
decision. While exciting for the fans, the same action can be felt with fewer cars. The corporation
should also find a way to work with the drivers so they know they are more than just assets to the
company; they are actual people and are risking their lives for the corporation's profit. I think once
the relationship is mended between the corporation and the drivers, many of the other issues will fix
themselves.

Baby Rohan Jameson Ramjit Is Growing Healthy As Ever
3rd Trimester, 31 weeks and 4 days, Baby Rohan Jameson Ramjit is growing healthy as ever. During
these past 7 months, I have gained so much love for someone I have never met before. Being 24
years old and becoming a mother has changed my views on life. Learning so much about caring for
a newborn has brought on the thought of bottle feeding or breast feeding and trying to figure out
which one is safer for his health. Children enter this world helpless, trying to understand their new
environment and learning their new touch. Infants depend on the caring individuals around them,
especially their mothers, to help them in their first few days of life to figure out the new aspect of
life. It is the obligation of the parents to take care and nurture their newborn. Parents are to deliver
for their children both through emotional needs as well as survival needs.
One thing about caring for a newborn is needing to be fed through the means of milk. Formula
bottle feeding or milk from the breast is a decision made by the mother and father over doing their
research of the health of their child. As stated in Nancy E. Wright's article on the progression of
breastfeeding, Aristotle said, "There is a reason behind everything in nature." Certain incidences
take place in nature that has effects or consequences to them. Choosing to breastfeed is a decision
that new mothers make that requires sacrifice and hard work, yet has the prospective to be a very
healthy food nutrient for infants.

Should a HIV Positive Mother Breastfeed Her Baby?
Should a HIV positive mother breastfeed her baby? In 1985, the U.S. Public Health Service
provided the first recommendations in efforts to help prevent HIV positive mothers from
transmitting it to their child. It then was discovered that 1 in 7 infants of HIV positive mothers were
in fact infected through breastfeeding (WABA.org). Perinatal transmission became the most
common way of HIV infection in infants. In 2010 research advancements were made and showed
that if the HIV positive mothers started receiving AVRs (antiretroviral drugs) throughout the time
they are breastfeeding, the HIV transmission to the infant could be largely prevented. HIV positive
mothers now have the option of breastfeeding if they are under the right treatment and can reduce
the risk of transmitting the virus to the infant to less than 1% (CDC.gov). Those in favor for HIV
positive mothers breastfeeding their babies argue that with the right treatment and precautions the
mother can safely breastfeed her child. On the other hand those opposed to breastfeeding believe
that although the HIV transmission from the mother to child could be largely prevented there is still
a small percentage that the infant can get infected, and a larger risk of transmission in developing
countries.
Pros
Women who had been diagnosed with HIV and then had given birth were often discouraged to
breastfeed their babies. The mothers and babies wouldn't have to only miss out on the beautiful bond

Junior Shifter Karting Series Trials
As I negotiated the unbalanced concrete at the exit of turn 10, I was distracted by a burst of
wheelspin and quickly remembered that I did not shift into 4th. As I reached for the shift lever,
another burst of wheelspin hit me and with no physical force on the wheel, my kart jerked to the
right, locked all four wheels and spun right into the gravel trap. I got out, angry at myself for making
such a stupid mistake that could have easily been avoided. But in the end, I knew I was not going to
improve my time anyway. I was down on my split times by almost a second, and there was no
recovering from that in 2 corners. Leguna Seca was a very unforgiving track. In my opinion, the

Flashing back to my younger days, I watched Lewis Hamilton ever since he joined Mclaren in 2007.
A year later, he would be world Champion. "Thats your helmet?" He asked, pointing to my bright
yellow helmet I had based after Ayrton Senna 's helmet. "Yeah" "So your kart number 14?" I nodded
as we both walked slowly to the timing station. We were engaged in small talk when we arrived and
looked at the times. I was still 5 tenths off the pole time. As I swore under my breath, Lewis
gestured me to walk with him towards the track. It was 12 p.m, so the track was closed for a hour for
lunch. I walked the track with him, and he explained to me how he was successful on this track in
his Formula 3.5 years. "Most corners are flat out, but the ones that arnt you must throw the car in.
Remember, the exit is more important than the entrance. Never sacrifice your racing line to overtake
someone." Their was about an hour more of driving theory but, in all honesty, I didn 't remember
most of it, as I was still trying to accept the fact that I was getting driving lessons from Lewis
Hamilton. We walked back to the pit straight and Lewis helped me adjust my engine and chassis for
the track. As I was rolling out the the track, Lewis screamed one more tip through the roaring
engine. "Hop the kerbs!". With that in mind I went out to the track, ready for a master–class hotlap. I
eased the throttle out of the final corner, making sure I didn 't

Breastfeeding Is The Oldest Style Of Feeding A Baby
Breastfeeding is the oldest style of feeding a baby. It's existed since the start of time. In fact, out of
all the mammals that exist on this planet, each one of them nurses their babies, including humans.
Recently, breastfeeding publically has been seen as indecent. Why would society frown on the most
natural and beautiful act a mother can do for her child? Nearly daily women are asked to leave
public places when they're feeding their kids because someone believes it 's indecent or perverted,
despite the efforts that are made to promote breastfeeding as positive. Breastfeeding isn 't indecent

How Can Spreadsheets Be Used? Solve Complex Problems?
How can spreadsheets be used to solve complex problems?
Why are spreadsheets important?
Spreadsheets are important as they are able to hold and use complex problem solving, they are also a
powerful tool that any size businesses may use to store valuable information. However spreadsheets
are also compatible to other programs such as PowerPoint and even word. This could be the reason
that so many people use spreadsheets on a daily basis.
The many uses of spreadsheets:
There are many people that will use spreadsheets from accountants to school children, also sales
people will as they are then easily able to keep an eye on their profits/commission.
The main reason accountants use spreadsheets is due to the fact they need are required to keep track
of money often large sums of money, they are able to use a spreadsheet to calculate what profits
have been made and to also calculate staff wages and any other things that needs to be paid such as
expenses for meetings/conferences.
Schools might use spreadsheets as they can show children how to do the basics like how to use
formulas and put some information on there and so forth. The staff might use them to keep track of
children 's grades/marks and taking registers. Other people who might use spreadsheets are
supermarkets, scientists, engineers and sales people.

The Flight Path From Singapore
3.2 The Haversine formula
The haversine formula is an important equation in navigation, calculating the haversine of the
central angle between two points on a great circle of a sphere using the latitudes and the longitudes
of the two points: sin2 (d2r) = sin2 ( Φ2 – Φ12) + cos (Φ1) cos (Φ2) sin2 ( λ2 – λ12)
where Φ1 and Φ2 denote the latitudes of Singapore and Chicago respectively, and λ1 and λ2 denote
the longitudes of Singapore and Chicago respectively. We can rearrange the haversine formula to
give us the distance d between the two cities.
3.3 The Haversine function
In order to show how the haversine formula is derived, we must first understand the function of the
haversine. The term haversine appears to have originated from "half a versed sine", or "half a
versine". The haversine function is useful as it can calculate the distance of an arc of a great circle.
The flight path from Singapore to Chicago is, in fact, an arc of a great circle.
The versine function is one of many trigonometric functions that were once popular in fields such as
navigation, but now are practically obsolete and are no longer taught in schools. Commonly
abbreviated as versin, the versine function is versin (α) = 1 – cos (α) where α is the variable in the
function. However, this does not seem very useful in the derivation of the haversine formula. We can
manipulate the versine function into a more useful substitution using the half–angle identity sin2
(12α) = [1 – cos (α)] as sin2 (12α)

Exclusive Breastfeeding And Infant Mortality
Exclusive Breastfeeding and Infant Mortality: If We Nudge, Will Mothers Budge?
Section I: Introduction
West Africa has the highest infant mortality rate in the world – for every 1000 live births, 70
children die before their first birthday (Wang, 2014). National infant mortality rates vary from 18.8
deaths per 1000 live births in Cape Verde to 89.9 deaths per 1000 live births in Guinea–Bissau.
Nonetheless, the leading causes of infant mortality are largely the same across the region: neonatal
conditions (26 percent), malaria (21 percent), pneumonia (21 percent), diarrhea (17 percent),
measles (6 percent) and HIV/AIDS (4 percent). The "desired children" hypothesis of fertility asserts
that high fertility primarily reflects desired number of children (Pritchett, 1994). In this regard, high
infant mortality may motivate women to have more children to attain their preferred family size.
Thus aside the important population health implications of reducing high infant mortality rates,
demographic theory predicts that improved child survival is accompanied by declines in fertility
reflecting reduced demand for replacement births to achieve a given target family size. The
influence of reduced infant mortality on fertility decline has also been established empirically in a
wide range of settings (Barnum, 1988). Declines in infant mortality, falls in fertility rates, and lower
average family sizes lead to changes in population age structure and stimulate increased female
labor

The Process and Reasoning: A Psychology of Rumor By Robert...
The Understanding of a Rumor
Synopsis. One of the more interesting readings in Behrens and Rosen's Wrting and Reading Across
the Curriculum was "A Psychology of Rumor" By Robert H. Knapp. His major point was the
understanding of the process and the reasoning behind rumors. A rumor can be classified as a special
case of informal social communications that include myth, legend, and current humor. Rumors have
three basic characteristics to them. The first is mode transmission which is usually done through
word of mouth. The second characteristic is that they provide information, ranging from a particular
person, an event, or condition. Lastly, the third characteristic is that a rumor satisfies mythology,
folklore, and humor. Rumors have the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Knapp and "Managing Rumors" by John Doorley and Helio Fred Garcia both discussed the makeup
of rumors they doth went into different aspects of rumors.
Even though both did have their own approach for rumors they did have some similarities between
the two readings. They both contribute to the fact that rumor go through a sort of simplification. In
"A psychology of Rumor" it was stated that "As perception and memory simplify the things we see,
so do they simplify the rumors we hear and read. In time, a successful rumor becomes a "good
story." This process of heightening some elements, or leveling or leveling others" (Knapp 361) In
"Managing Rumors", John Doorley and Helio Fred Garcia stated,
"George W. Allport and Leo Postman, constructed experiments on how the content of rumors
changes as the rumor passes from person to person. They concluded that as a rumor travels, it tends
to grow shorter, more concise and more easily told: In subsequent versions [of rumor] more and
more original details are leveled out, fewer words are used and fewer items are mentioned... As the
leveling of detail proceeds, the remaining details are necessarily sharpened." (Doorley and Gracia
398) The dissimilarities between the two were more prevalent towards the end of the articles. Both
discussed what makes up rumors but "A Psychology of Rumor" discussed more about principles of
rumors and talked about them as they are not in control after they have been

Study Analysis: Breast Feeding vs. Formula Feeding and Overweight Infants Abbey Gunderson
Florida Gulf Coast University Abstract The study Exclusively Breastfed Overweight Infants are at
the Same Risk of Childhood Overweight as Formula Fed Overweight Infants, investigates whether
exclusively breastfed overweight infants have the same risks of becoming overweight in childhood
as overweight infants who are formula fed. This study found that exclusively breastfed infants who
are overweight encounter the same risk of becoming overweight in childhood as infants who are
overweight and formula fed. Therefore, researchers emphasize the importance of preventing
overweight in infancy regardless of the feeding type (Vrijkotte, Altenburg, and Gademan, 2015).

The Decision Of Breastfeed For Mothers
The decision to breastfeed for mothers is complex and multifactorial (Pairman et al., 2015, p 803)
and will be influenced by social norms, self–efficacy, knowledge and both social and professional
support (Rollins et al., 2016). Support can be delivered by various methods and is based on
interventions that diminish the complexities and challenges faced by breastfeeding mothers
(Renfrew et al., 2012). Although breastfeeding is partly instinctive behaviour, it still needs to be
learned and mothers need support, encouragement and adequate management to make breastfeeding
a success (Stables & Rankin, 2010). This essay will aim to highlight the benefits and advantages of
breastfeeding for both mother and child, and examine the support that ... Show more content on

Breastmilk provides a number of health advantages beginning at birth and continuing throughout a
child 's life (Kainonen et al., 2012; Pairman et al., 2015; Stables & Rankin, 2010). The longer a
mother breastfeeds, the more likely her child will get the health benefits of breastfeeding (Rollins et
al., 2016; Stables & Rankin, 2010).
The immediate health, wellbeing and survival of babies is affected by breastfeeding and thus
impacts our public health system (Pairman et al., 2015). Risk of morbidity and mortality due to
infectious disease is lower among exclusively breastfed babies compared with partially breastfed
babies (Kramer & Kakuman, 2012). If breastfed, about half of all diarrhoea episodes and a third of
respiratory infections would be avoided (Victora et al., 2016) thus protecting against hospital
admissions (Victora et al., 2016; UNICEF, 2005). Breast milk is also associated with a reduction in
asthma (Oddy, 2013; Victora et al., 2016), protection against otitis media (Victora et al., 2016), and
childhood lymphomas (Guise et al., 2005). Due to the presence of long–chain polyunsaturated fatty
acids in breastmilk, studies have gathered that breastfeeding can also improve brain development,
growth and levels of intelligence quotient (Victora et al., 2016; Huffman et al., 2011). Additionally,

Aviation Company Karl Rapp
Initially starting as an aviation company set up by Karl Rapp which was established in 1913 was the
basis at which BMW began their long and illustrious tenor at the top of the luxury brand Automotive
industry. Although struggling initially due to poor engine designs which suffered from severe
vibration problems the company knows as Rapp Motorenwerke barely remained in business solely
due to the Austro–Daimler being unable to keep up with the high demand of the V12 aircraft engines
required by the Austrian military. It was this inability to meet their demands that resulted in the
decision for the engines to be produced at Rapp Motorenwerke allowing them to remain in business.
Franz Josef Popp who was the lead supervising engineering at Austro–Daimler was sent to Munich
to supervise the engine quality. Popp went on to become actively involved in the running of the
company and was behind the hiring of Max Friz who was a young and talented aircraft engineer. It
would be the hiring of Friz that would change the course of the company. Within a few weeks of his
hiring Max Friz had designed a new aero–engine far superior to any other German aero engine
currently being produced. Following the departure of Rapp the company took on a large
restructuring and BMW was first established as a business entity in 1917. Large orders were being
received for the BMW IIIa engine designed by7 Max Friz and a high level of financial assistance
were provided by officials in relevant ministries under

A Research Study On Breastfeeding
Case study: breastfeeding
"Breast feeding rates in developed countries such as the UK, Australia and the US are typically
lower than World Health Organisation goals" Parkinson (2010) 3. From a study carried out by
Queensland university stressed the importance of not only the delivery of literature on how effective
breastfeeding is for your babies health but that what was also needed to increase the number of
breast feeders was to give personal support and explains social and environmental benefits also.
When they looked at the UK in particular, Parkinson (2010) 3 stated "women already understood
that breastfeeding was good for their baby, and what they needed were the tools to help them to
breastfeed longer. From this it is clear that although effective and sufficient information around the
benefits of the child is being addressed, there is no sufficient information or skills being given direct
to the parents in order for them to carry this out for any length of time. Another piece of research
was carried out in 2010 on ways to change the paradigm of breastfeeding, from encouraging
promotion of breast feeding within the employment setting. Dr Lawrence (2010) 1 said " instead of
promoting the tremendous benefits of breastfeeding to this population, the risks of formula feeding
and the costs to health and the community of not breastfeeding will have to incorporated into
persuading these women to do the best for their infants and themselves".

America has been fascinated with racing since the 1800's and there are so many types of auto racing
in America and each one is unique. Automobile racing is a competition race between cars and
drivers. Even the first motor race between steam engines took place around 1867, this was 65 years
after the steam engine on the road.

Let's look into Formula One, the foundation of Formula One began in 1946 with the Federation

must comply with. Formula One uses the points systems and various styles have been in place. The
current systems dates back to 2010 and awards the top 10 cars points there was talk about starting
Formula One back in the 1930's but World War II began and Formula One was placed on hold.
Originally there were people who wanted a driver's championship, and this did not take place till
1950 in Silverstone. One month earlier the first F1 race had taken place in PAU. Formula One unlike
the other styles of racing only had a few championship races. This changed more in 1983, when fuel
cost and the economy predicted a part of how the races would be ran.
Our most recent Formula One cars are designed with a single seat open wheel racer. They are built
mainly from carbon filter composites. In our last season cars were powered by 1.6 litre turbocharged
v–6 hybrid engines. Many of these were Ferrari, Renault and Mercedes Benz. Most racing teams are
cautious giving out information about their engine, car and performance. There are technical

UNETHICAL CAMPAIGN OF NESTLE BABY MILK AND BABY FOOD
INTRODUCTION:
Nestlé is a very well known and trusted brand. But sadly, Nestle has gone through serious image
problems because of its unethical marketing and PR campaign of baby food and baby milk. Instead
of making changes in their campaign and products in order to make everything fully according to
the ethics of international marketing standards, Nestlé invested heavily in Public Relations

damaging the image of Nestle.
Health campaigners and health workers succeeded in keeping the public aware about the unethical

Breast Feeding vs Formula Essay
Breast–feeding is nutritionally, emotionally and physically superior for a mother and her child.
"Human breast milk is not standard nor is it interchangeable with cow's milk. It is a dynamic fluid
that changes in composition to meet the needs of the baby as it grows" ("Giving your Baby... Diet."
par. #10). Breast milk contains growth factors and antibodies which stimulate the growing baby and
protect it from illness such as diarrhea, ear infections, rashes, allergies, asthma, skin problems,
pneumonia, respiratory illness and other serious illnesses. Breast–feeding also improves a baby's
chance of remaining healthy. These antibodies are not found in formula. They can not be sustained.
Breast–fed babies are also neurodevelopmentally more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Brain processing is also faster (Georgieff, par. 23). "The Journal of the American Medical
Association, reported that adults who as babies were breast–fed for seven months had higher IQ's
than those who were breast–fed for two weeks or less. A direct link may not exist between breast–
fed babies and higher IQ's, but a correlation, between the amount of time that a mother spends
breast–feeding and the amount of time she will spend with her child as he grows up is defiantly
indicated. If a mother is willing to devote herself to being the sole provider of food for her baby
when he is young then perhaps she will spend more time one on one with him as he grows (Gupta,
par. # 2&7). "One oft–cited advantage of breast–feeding is the bond it promotes between mother and
baby." ("Giving your Baby...Diet." par. #10) "Nursing is a valuable source of security and comfort
for your baby... Your and your baby comfort each other. Your baby regularly needs your breast milk
and physical closeness and your full breasts regularly need to be emptied. Breast–feeding develops
an intimate relationship that can deepen the bond between you and your baby" (Neifert, par #6).

components that help babies to grow strong and healthy, there are several brands of instant milk

Persuasive Essay On Breastfeeding
Women in this world have a right to bear children and take care of them. As a new parent, there are
millions of questions, worries, and decisions one deals with throughout the whole child's life. When
a child is first born, a mother has to decide whether or not to breastfeed or formula feed. The
nutrition a baby receives in the first months of life is what determines if the baby has a good or bad
start. Women should breastfeed their children because breastfeeding boosts chances of success for
their child, allows their baby to receive natural immunity from antibodies, mothers are less likely to
develop diseases such as cancers or diabetes, and breastfeeding stimulates oxytocin to promote
bonding between mother and child. Breastfeeding is the best choice for a baby.
The natural process of breastfeeding is the most beneficial for the baby and many studies have
concluded that breastfeeding boosts chances of success. In Brazil, a group of doctors took on a
project to see if there was a difference from a breastfed child and a formula fed one. These doctors
randomly picked out more than 3,000 babies and studied them from the time they were born until
they turned thirty years old (Breast–Feeding). Once these babies reach thirty, they were given an IQ
test that concluded, "the subjects who were breast–fed for 12 months or more had a higher IQ than
those who were breast–fed for less than one month. The difference in IQ was 3.76 points" (Horta).

Logarithms In The Pre-Calculator Era
In contemporary mathematics, the arithmetic computations that make up the complex subject have
been eased by the calculator, allowing for revolutionary discoveries and endeavors by mathematical
scholars. However, what can be said of the conduct of mathematicians before the introduction of the
calculator? I certainly find it crucial to understand this, for the pre–calculator era is what shaped the
subject into the core study of success. In the classroom the unit of trigonometry – the dynamic
analysis of the triangle and its properties – is notorious for functions and operations that rely heavily
on the calculator. I know this from experience, but I also know that there must have been a way to
handle the aforementioned functions and
operations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Essentially, this is equivalent to the properties of logarithms in the modern–day classroom, without
the Log Table of course. But, why is this important? The answer is the same for logarithms as it is
for the forgotten trigonometric functions: it was easier and quicker for mathematicians and
dilettantes at the time.
Understanding the conduct and purpose of pre–calculator logarithms, it can be applied to the
infamous world of trigonometry. In her article Lamb states, "Near the angle θ=0, cos(θ) is very close
to 1." (Lamb) Therefore, to perform certain computations such as subtracting 1 from cos(θ) would
yield a very precise result – one that, without a calculator, would be nearly impossible to render.
When significant figures are taken into account (that is, the resulting number without leading or
trailing zeroes; a popular application in chemical sciences and advanced mathematics), the level of
complication can build drastically if only so many of them are present in an answer. And while that
may not be a problem in one's early arithmetic, it can prove devastating later on.
But not only do the special trigonometric functions, which I will name shortly,

Compare And Contrast Formula Milk And Infant Milk
Based on Oxford Dictionary, a formula is a baby's liquid food based on cow's milk or 'soya' protein
that is given as a substitute for breast milk whereas breast milk is defined as milk produced by a
woman's breasts after childbirth as food for her child. Formula milk and breast milk is also known
as formula infant and maternal milk respectively.
Formula milk has existed since the past 100 years. Initially, the researchers did not understand the
unique properties of maternal milk since there was no modern technology for them to do research
regarding the importance of maternal milk. Parents and doctors were also not confident with the
benefits of maternal milk since its texture seemed to be very clear and unhealthy. Therefore, formula

Therefore, I strongly agree that women should breastfeed their infants no matter how busy they are.
However, solutions should be taken into account from family to society in order to encourage
women to breastfeed their babies. Firstly, as a husband, he should give a moral support to her wife
to feed their infants with maternal milk because a wife will definitely listen to her husband to feed
their infants as the husband is considered as one of the closest people to a wife. Secondly, media
should give exposure to women on the importance of breastfeeding through social media such as
Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Lastly, the public needs to change their perspective towards women
who feed their babies with maternal milk because public's perception has made most of the women
feel ashamed and do not have the confidence to breastfeed their infants especially in public area
during emergency cases. After taking these solutions into consideration, hopefully, the rate of
women that breastfeed their infants will be

How Racing Share The Same Fundamentals Of Racing
Regardless of if you enjoy racing or not, you likely know what either Nascar or Formula One is. In
the United States of America, Nascar is by far the most popular form of racing. This popularity
allows the sport to have its "4.5 billion [dollar]" television contract that "began in 2007"(Odland).
Meanwhile in the rest of the world, Formula One is the most popular. Evidently, Formula One
generates an immense amount of wealth as well. Red Bull, a sponsor in Formula One, is thought to
have generated "an estimated $283 million in brand exposure" in just one season alone(Smith). Due
to the fact that they are both forms of racing, a multitude of people group these two very different
genres of racing together and claim that they are basically the same. While there are some central
similarities, these are two abundantly different forms of racing. The most important and basic
similarity is that both forms of racing share the same fundamentals of racing. The essential
differences between the two include the cars that are driven as well as the tracks used for races. Both
Nascar and Formula One share the same fundamentals of racing. The ultimate goal is to win every
race that you possibly can. This is done by finishing before, often in front of, everyone else. In each
form of racing, drivers take what are called pit stops. This is when a driver pulls into a designated
area where his/her team is located. Then that teams provides car adjustments and fuel. These pit

Breast Feeding Vs. The Bottle
Breast–feeding vs. The Bottle: The Decision is yours "Some mothers have to give up breastfeeding
even though they want to breastfeed. To give up breastfeeding can be a sensitive issue in a time
when breastfeeding is promoted as the healthiest for mother and child" (Larsen & Kronborg, 2013,
p. 848). The debate over whether breast–feeding is better than bottle–feeding or vice versa has been
a debate for many years. With more and more research that is continuously being developed, the
option to breast–feed or bottle–feed is ultimately up to the parents of the child. Although the
decision could be based on factors such as a physical incapability or financial burdens, the end result
should always be what is going to be best for the baby. As research continues to grow, there has been
proven evidence of the positive and negative aspects that come with breast–feeding and bottle–
feeding.
The Benefits of Breast Feeding Starting from infancy, parents have the right to make the decisions
in their new child's life, which includes breast–feeding their child. "Infant nutrition is important in
development and health throughout life" (Klag, McNamara, Geraghty, & Keim, 2015, p. 1059)
Although the process has been known to bring some complications and many attempts, the end
result has been proven to be beneficial to not only the infant during that time but can be tracked in
their life down the line. The decision to breast feed is a decision that will not only impact the child,

Why Is The Sky Blue? Essay
"Why is the sky blue?" I asked my teacher while learning about the colors spectrum in sixth grade.
My teacher shot down the question, shattering my curiosity at the same time. Her answer, like every
other adult I asked why something was the way it was, "You will understand when you are older,
let's focus on this topic for now."
To all those teachers who told me I would understand something once I was older, "How much older
do I need to get?" Here is another unanswered why question, "Why does the United States'
education system promote conformity instead of individuality?" I never understood as a child why
being curious and searching for the unknown answers was looked down upon, but now I see our
education system was established to prepare citizens to learn the same way and conclude the same
way, all while developing trust in the system. The United States' education system is a curiosity
killer and causes fear of individuality and conformity in children early on in their educational
journeys.
The heart–wrenching fact about our education system is students learn that there is only one way to
write, one way to learn, and one way to achieve success. This process starts early on to ensure
children learn to accept the "...framework, in which they will follow orders, except existing
frameworks, and not challenge and so on." (Chomsky). Until recently I hadn't realized how early
children begin the molding process, but looking back on my childhood I remember how early I

Essay Breast Feeding Is Best
Breast Feeding Is Best Breast feeding not only provides the perfect food and food delivery system
for infants, it is also the most family friendly choice a new mother can make.
"Human breast milk contains at least one hundred ingredients not found in cow's milk and that
cannot be exactly duplicated in commercial formulas" (Eisenburg 3). As a baby grows and changes,
breast milk automatically individualizes itself for each infant. The nutrients in breast milk alter
themselves to fit the baby's needs. Breast milk is more easily digested than cow's milk or formula.
"The amount of protein in mother's milk (1.5%) is lower than in cow's milk (3.5%) (Brockport 1),
making it gentler on the infant's stomach. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Breast milk contains one–third the mineral salts of cow's milk, thus making it gentle to the kidneys.
There is less phosphorous in breast milk as well. The higher phosphorus content of cow's milk is
linked to a decreased calcium level in the formula fed infant's blood. Breast fed babies are far less
likely to become ill during the first year than formula fed babies. " The transfer of immune factors in
breast milk and in the pre–milk substance, colostrum, provides partial protection. Every time breast
fed infants suckle at their mother's breast from the first time to the last; they are getting a healthy
dose of anti–bodies to bolster their immunity to disease" (Eisenburg 54). One recent study suggest "
there may also be a decreased risk of childhood cancer in breast fed babies" (Eisenburg 55 ).
Breast fed babies are well–nourished since breast feeding works by supply and demand. The more
the baby nurses the greater the mother's milk production. Overall, babies that are breast fed have less
health problems than babies that are artificially fed. "They have three times fewer ear infections,
five times fewer urinary tract infections, five times fewer serious illnesses and seven times fewer
allergies. Babies who are fed mother's milk exclusively, for at least their first twenty–six weeks, are
six times less likely to develop lymphoma (a type of cancer) in childhood, and babies breast fed for
at least one year are only half as likely to develop diabetes"

While Benetton Sportssystem was still in connection with its original business, in the 1990s

Breastfeeding Intention, Motivation And Initiation Essay
Breastfeeding Intention, Motivation and Initiation
The small amount of breastfeeding intention research that exists focuses heavily on populations
considered at risk, referring to those in economically disadvantaged areas or lower wage earners
with lower educational backgrounds, often with lower maternal age and worse outcomes in the birth
process (Cabieses et al., 2014; Declercq et al., 2014; Holbrook et al., 2013; Li et al., 2005: McInnes
et al., 2001; Shaker et al., 2004). These studies show that women's attitudes regarding breastfeeding
create strong motivators for the intent to breastfeed. Those with positive associations with
breastfeeding are most likely to want to breastfeed and those with negative associations with
breastfeeding are most likely to choose not to breastfeed.
In studies where women were selected as the result of choosing not to breastfeed, researchers found
heightened levels of expressed personal reasons that reflected negative associations with
breastfeeding, including a lack of consistent education by hospital staff (Ogbuanu et al., 2009;
Shaker et al., 2004; Wirihana & Barnard, 2011). Education in mixed method feedings was lacking at
all levels of intention to breastfeed, Geraghty et al. (2013) noted, even in a population study that was
based on respondents who wanted to breastfeed, and sought professional help for problems while
breastfeeding.
Intention is also linked to the expected success of breastfeeding, as indicated by Attanasio et al.

An infant who is breastfed receives added health benefits compared to a child who is formula fed. In
the first few days after birth, the breast milk is comprised of protein, vitamins A and E, and
antibodies which help protect the infant from infection. After the first few days, the mature breast
milk contains fats and cholesterol, which are essential for the growth and development of the
infant's nervous system, eyes, and brain. It also contains micronutrients calcium and magnesium,
which are beneficial to the infant's growth (Thompson et al., 2010). Because of all the healthy
components to breast milk, there is significant research showing that children who are breastfed
have reduction in diseases, healthier bodies and mouths, and long–term health benefits as well.
Research has shown that one of the greatest benefits is a reduction in Type 1 and 2 diabetes. It has
been shown that children than develop diabetes have had little or no consumption of human milk. It
has also been revealed that children who were fed cereal before four months of age are at a greater
risk of developing Type 1 diabetes. Infants who are exclusively breastfed also show a reduction in
Chron's disease, ulcerative colitis, Hodgkin's, leukemia, and some childhood lymphomas as lifelong
conditions. Because human milk allows for longer maturing of the infant's stomach, there are fewer
incidences of asthma and allergies (Ryan, 2012).

Bread Produced with 100% Ontario Based Flour
In January, 2013 we began our experimental work by conducting detailed analysis of results of
bread produced with 100% Ontario based flour. Since direct application of Ontario based flour
resulted in excessive dryness, and reduced volume of bread, we decided to conduct series of semi –
industrial trials in order to adapt our present formula to new flour chemical composition. The
objective of our investigation in this phase was to apply Ontario flour, and get the bread with the
same moisture, and volume as it is originally.
After this first attempt in January, 2013 we firstly tried to increase gluten structure. Gluten is
additive commonly used in bakery industry which primary function is to enhance gas retention
capacity, water absorption, and retention, as well as, increase dough strength. Initially, our formula
contained 3 – 4 % of gluten, and we tested formulas with up to 10% of gluten. Increasing of gluten
did not give significant results, and formulas with 10% of gluten had increase of volume of about
10%. We did not test formulas with more than 10% of gluten because it is very expensive additive,
and it is not economically to apply it in higher concentrations.
After learning that gluten does not give expected results, our next step was increasing protein level
by introducing the balancing the flours. We decided to introduce harder wheat flours with higher
concentration of proteins. Average protein level of Ontario flour is 10.5%, while west flours contain

just lack of education on the subject. The benefits of breast feeding extend well beyond basic
nutrition. There is no greater feeling in the world, then knowing that your body is able to produce
food for your child. Unlike formula, where you're not too sure what all is in each can. If you ask
moms today about breast feeding, about 50% are all for it and ... Show more content on

Now days, they have a lactation consultant to help with any trouble or questions you have about
breast feeding. They are able to help at any time of the day 7 days a week. When helping, they want
to make sure you are comfortable with everything and understand not just the basics but also
complications that may arise with breast feeding before they let you go solo. Some benefits for your
child would be that the babies' immune system starts off great just from the colostrum from the first
feeding. Breast milk contains all vitamins and nutrients your baby will need for the first six months
of life. Numerous studies have shown that stomach viruses, lower respiratory illnesses, ear
infections and other illnesses occur less in a breastfed child verses a child that drinks formula. Your
baby will be able to digest breast milk better then formula therefore won't have issues when it comes
to stools. Some negatives that people may have heard are that it hurts. Yes it hurts but only for about
a week if that. They make creams to help with pain. Some also may not because they are very shy
about feeding in public because they don't want the reaction from others. They have made blankets
and cover ups so you can discretely feed your baby without the judgment of others. Also a big
problem for some mothers might be that they cannot produce. Unfortunately you cannot do much
for that. According to womenshealth.org

It would seem that with such a large population and at a rate of 17 births for every 1000 inhabitants a year is a very large number in terms of market for products such as baby formulas. Indonesia is also the 4th largest in terms of coffee production, another of Nestle strong businesses; its Sumatra blend is coveted all over the world by coffee lovers. And it is the 3rd largest cocoa producer in the world. Indonesia is relatively a very young country with a plethora of "growing pains" like trying to step out of poverty, human rights issues, trying to deal with corruption, fight the development and expansion of terrorism, enforcing its legal system, resolving armed conflicts with separatist groups around the country and opening up for trade. There are some technology bursts in major urban centers but most of its human resources still go out to the agriculture sector. Agriculture accounts for 14.3 % of its GDP with 38.3 % of the working population. This would make Indonesia an ideal place for the production of coffee and cocoa. The dairy industry in Indonesia leaves much to be desired though, because of its lack of proper water and distribution. Indonesia has 12 % of its population under the poverty line about 25 million people. Water is used to feed the cows that produce the milk, if the water is absent or not clean enough the cows will produce low quality milk. • 3. Albert Einstein Speech Everyone knows about Albert Einstein and his legacy, but what you might not know is his slowed development as a child. Einstein struggled to use language to convey his thoughts and feelings to others; however, he admitted that it gave him more opportunities to reflect on life's elements. His 'sense of wonder' at these concepts made him pose questions which eventually led to several breakthroughs. This oddity of Einstein distinguished him from other people. What is something unusual about you that makes you unique? " I live in a gigantic castle! " exclaimed one boy excitedly to the rest of his fellow classmates. That's not possible, my young self frowned and thought to herself. Nobody lives in castles anymore. A small girl then shouted out, " My friend named Alice has bunny ears!" triumphantly. But... that doesn't make sense! Looking back on my childhood, I've always thought that I had no imagination or creativity. I could never remember myself imagining something. The concept of imagination had seemed so complex to me. I've asked myself, 'How can you see things that aren't really there?' numerous times. I regularly felt like the odd one out because I could hardly ever imagine my own little world. It seemed as though I was the only one who wasn't in on the big secret. All the other kids boasted about how their house is a castle or they have what parents call an 'imaginary friend'. When I was a kid, I just saw what I saw. I believed imagination was coming up with bizarre and beautiful things and being able to see them in the real world. I was extremely jealous of other kids and their ability to imagine. However, I learned as I grew up that I have my own type of imagination and creativity hidden within me. I constantly wished to view life as colorful as the movies. I desired the power to imagine so that I could transport myself to another world whenever I was dying of boredom. The years went by, and I still believed I lacked imagination. But, I soon realized that my definition of imagination was incorrect all along. Imagination is not just seeing things that you make up, in fact, it's more than that. Not all things are restricted to its official definition. im·ag·i·na·tion noun the faculty or action of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

WHY CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBITY MATTERS STUDENT ID : I145018 BATCH NO. : DB7314 SUBMITTED TO : STUART MCNAB SUBMITTED BY : VAMSIDHAR REDDY KOTHINTI INTRODUCTION: For a business company like Nestle the important thing is understanding their successful work among the other companies and competitors in present market. The Sports Industry Merged From Pure Athletic Competition The sports industry merged from pure athletic competition into a form of entertainment long ago, combining the event itself with technology making it available everywhere. Sports hold a valuable place in the integrated marketing of entertainment content. The loyal fan base of each sport is a ready and willing target for a wide variety of sponsorship, licensing and merchandising opportunities, as well as convergence with other forms of entertainment, including television, movies and games. The sports industry can be divided into content (the activity or event itself), conduits (the medium by which it is presented) and consumption (form in which to consume the sport). • 11. A Trend Oriented Power System Security A TREND ORIENTED POWER SYSTEM SECURITY ANALYSIS METHOD BASED ON LOAD PROFILE Power system security is an important aspect in the present generation. Power system security must also be economical. We can't predict the fault at every time, so based on trend analysis method on load profile in this paper we are going to see the various methods which help for the protection of the power system. So we should carefully monitor the security. By these methods discussed in the paper we are to form security indices which helps us to calculate the faults in advance. With these methods when problem occurs in real time we will have the security indices to respond faster to find out the solution for the problem and also we can protect in advance. Introduction: Power system analysis is important part of power systems. According to the mathematical model we can divide security analysis into two types 1. Static analysis 2. Dynamic analysis Dynamic security analysis is more focused on the behavior subsequent to a contingency, power system oscillatory modes, frequency instability. In this paper we are going to study about static analysis. Now moving on to the trend analysis theory it is developed from stock and commodity markets. This analysis is majorly successful in medical and mechanical fields, now it is widely used in electrical systems. Race car drivers of course accept a lot of risk when they compete in a race, and believe that in order to succeed they must take risks. Some risks include crashes with other vehicles and possible loss of life, either from crashing their cars into into the other vehicles, inanimate objects, or other people, as with the death of Kevin Ward Jr. (Daft / People.com) At the same time, race car drivers receive an adrenaline rush from racing. The corporation must first understand the safety concerns the drivers face, and validate those concerns as legitimate. That would go a very long way to helping the drivers feel better about the corporation. Next, the corporation should scale back its qualifying all–cars against the clock decision. While exciting for the fans, the same action can be felt with fewer cars. The corporation should also find a way to work with the drivers so they know they are more than just assets to the company; they are actual people and are risking their lives for the corporation's profit. I think once the relationship is mended between the corporation and the drivers, many of the other issues will fix themselves. ( Bibliography ( Daft, Richard L. • 15. Baby Rohan Jameson Ramjit Is Growing Healthy As Ever 3rd Trimester, 31 weeks and 4 days, Baby Rohan Jameson Ramjit is growing healthy as ever. During these past 7 months, I have gained so much love for someone I have never met before. Being 24 years old and becoming a mother has changed my views on life. Learning so much about caring for a newborn has brought on the thought of bottle feeding or breast feeding and trying to figure out which one is safer for his health. Children enter this world helpless, trying to understand their new environment and learning their new touch. Infants depend on the caring individuals around them, especially their mothers, to help them in their first few days of life to figure out the new aspect of life. It is the obligation of the parents to take care and nurture their newborn. Parents are to deliver for their children both through emotional needs as well as survival needs. One thing about caring for a newborn is needing to be fed through the means of milk. Formula bottle feeding or milk from the breast is a decision made by the mother and father over doing their research of the health of their child. As stated in Nancy E. Wright's article on the progression of breastfeeding, Aristotle said, "There is a reason behind everything in nature." Certain incidences take place in nature that has effects or consequences to them. Choosing to breastfeed is a decision that new mothers make that requires sacrifice and hard work, yet has the prospective to be a very healthy food nutrient for infants. ... • 17. Should a HIV Positive Mother Breastfeed Her Baby? Should a HIV positive mother breastfeed her baby? In 1985, the U.S. Public Health Service provided the first recommendations in efforts to help prevent HIV positive mothers from transmitting it to their child. It then was discovered that 1 in 7 infants of HIV positive mothers were in fact infected through breastfeeding (WABA.org). Perinatal transmission became the most common way of HIV infection in infants. In 2010 research advancements were made and showed that if the HIV positive mothers started receiving AVRs (antiretroviral drugs) throughout the time they are breastfeeding, the HIV transmission to the infant could be largely prevented. HIV positive mothers now have the option of breastfeeding if they are under the right treatment and can reduce the risk of transmitting the virus to the infant to less than 1% (CDC.gov). Those in favor for HIV positive mothers breastfeeding their babies argue that with the right treatment and precautions the mother can safely breastfeed her child. On the other hand those opposed to breastfeeding believe that although the HIV transmission from the mother to child could be largely prevented there is still a small percentage that the infant can get infected, and a larger risk of transmission in developing countries. Pros Women who had been diagnosed with HIV and then had given birth were often discouraged to breastfeed their babies. Junior Shifter Karting Series Trials As I negotiated the unbalanced concrete at the exit of turn 10, I was distracted by a burst of wheelspin and quickly remembered that I did not shift into 4th. As I reached for the shift lever, another burst of wheelspin hit me and with no physical force on the wheel, my kart jerked to the right, locked all four wheels and spun right into the gravel trap. I got out, angry at myself for making such a stupid mistake that could have easily been avoided. But in the end, I knew I was not going to improve my time anyway. We were engaged in small talk when we arrived and looked at the times. I was still 5 tenths off the pole time. As I swore under my breath, Lewis gestured me to walk with him towards the track. It was 12 p.m, so the track was closed for a hour for lunch. I walked the track with him, and he explained to me how he was successful on this track in his Formula 3.5 years. In fact, out of all the mammals that exist on this planet, each one of them nurses their babies, including humans. Recently, breastfeeding publically has been seen as indecent. Why would society frown on the most natural and beautiful act a mother can do for her child? Nearly daily women are asked to leave public places when they're feeding their kids because someone believes it 's indecent or perverted, despite the efforts that are made to promote breastfeeding as positive. The Flight Path From Singapore 3.2 The Haversine formula The haversine formula is an important equation in navigation, calculating the haversine of the central angle between two points on a great circle of a sphere using the latitudes and the longitudes of the two points: sin2 (d2r) = sin2 ( Φ2 – Φ12) + cos (Φ1) cos (Φ2) sin2 ( λ2 – λ12) where Φ1 and Φ2 denote the latitudes of Singapore and Chicago respectively, and λ1 and λ2 denote the longitudes of Singapore and Chicago respectively. We can rearrange the haversine formula to give us the distance d between the two cities. 3.3 The Haversine function In order to show how the haversine formula is derived, we must first understand the function of the haversine. The term haversine appears to have originated from "half a versed sine", or "half a versine". The haversine function is useful as it can calculate the distance of an arc of a great circle. The flight path from Singapore to Chicago is, in fact, an arc of a great circle. The versine function is one of many trigonometric functions that were once popular in fields such as navigation, but now are practically obsolete and are no longer taught in schools. Commonly abbreviated as versin, the versine function is versin (α) = 1 – cos (α) where α is the variable in the function. However, this does not seem very useful in the derivation of the haversine formula. We can manipulate the versine function into a more useful substitution using the half–angle identity sin2 (12α) = [1 – cos (α)] as sin2 (12α) ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 27. Exclusive Breastfeeding And Infant Mortality Exclusive Breastfeeding and Infant Mortality: If We Nudge, Will Mothers Budge? Section I: Introduction West Africa has the highest infant mortality rate in the world – for every 1000 live births, 70 children die before their first birthday (Wang, 2014). National infant mortality rates vary from 18.8 deaths per 1000 live births in Cape Verde to 89.9 deaths per 1000 live births in Guinea–Bissau. Nonetheless, the leading causes of infant mortality are largely the same across the region: neonatal conditions (26 percent), malaria (21 percent), pneumonia (21 percent), diarrhea (17 percent), measles (6 percent) and HIV/AIDS (4 percent). The "desired children" hypothesis of fertility asserts that high fertility primarily reflects desired number of children (Pritchett, 1994). In this regard, high infant mortality may motivate women to have more children to attain their preferred family size. Thus aside the important population health implications of reducing high infant mortality rates, demographic theory predicts that improved child survival is accompanied by declines in fertility reflecting reduced demand for replacement births to achieve a given target family size. The influence of reduced infant mortality on fertility decline has also been established empirically in a wide range of settings (Barnum, 1988). Declines in infant mortality, falls in fertility rates, and lower average family sizes lead to changes in population age structure and stimulate increased female labor ... One of the more interesting readings in Behrens and Rosen's Wrting and Reading Across the Curriculum was "A Psychology of Rumor" By Robert H. Knapp. His major point was the understanding of the process and the reasoning behind rumors. A rumor can be classified as a special case of informal social communications that include myth, legend, and current humor. Rumors have three basic characteristics to them. The first is mode transmission which is usually done through word of mouth. The second characteristic is that they provide information, ranging from a particular person, an event, or condition. Even though both did have their own approach for rumors they did have some similarities between the two readings. They both contribute to the fact that rumor go through a sort of simplification. In "A psychology of Rumor" it was stated that "As perception and memory simplify the things we see, so do they simplify the rumors we hear and read. In time, a successful rumor becomes a "good story." This process of heightening some elements, or leveling or leveling others" (Knapp 361) In "Managing Rumors", John Doorley and Helio Fred Garcia stated, "George W. Allport and Leo Postman, constructed experiments on how the content of rumors changes as the rumor passes from person to person. They concluded that as a rumor travels, it tends to grow shorter, more concise and more easily told: In subsequent versions [of rumor] more and more original details are leveled out, fewer words are used and fewer items are mentioned... As the leveling of detail proceeds, the remaining details are necessarily sharpened." (Doorley and Gracia 398) The dissimilarities between the two were more prevalent towards the end of the articles. Study Analysis: Breast Feeding vs. Formula Feeding and Overweight Infants Abbey Gunderson Florida Gulf Coast University Abstract The study Exclusively Breastfed Overweight Infants are at the Same Risk of Childhood Overweight as Formula Fed Overweight Infants, investigates whether exclusively breastfed overweight infants have the same risks of becoming overweight in childhood as overweight infants who are formula fed. This study found that exclusively breastfed infants who are overweight encounter the same risk of becoming overweight in childhood as infants who are overweight and formula fed. Therefore, researchers emphasize the importance of preventing overweight in infancy regardless of the feeding type (Vrijkotte, Altenburg, and Gademan, 2015). Study Analysis: Breast Feeding vs. Formula Feeding and Overweight Infants The aim of the study Exclusively Breastfed Overweight Infants are at the Same Risk of Childhood Overweight as Formula Fed Overweight Infants, is to evaluate the relationship between feeding types in infancy of overweight infants and the risks of becoming overweight in childhood. Vrijkotte, Altenburg, and Gademan, intended to clarify whether we should be concerned about overweight infants who are exclusively breastfed and whether they encounter the same risks of becoming overweight in childhood as overweight infants who are formula fed. Support can be delivered by various methods and is based on interventions that diminish the complexities and challenges faced by breastfeeding mothers (Renfrew et al., 2012). Although breastfeeding is partly instinctive behaviour, it still needs to be learned and mothers need support, encouragement and adequate management to make breastfeeding a success (Stables & Rankin, 2010). The longer a mother breastfeeds, the more likely her child will get the health benefits of breastfeeding (Rollins et al., 2016; Stables & Rankin, 2010). The immediate health, wellbeing and survival of babies is affected by breastfeeding and thus impacts our public health system (Pairman et al., 2015). Risk of morbidity and mortality due to infectious disease is lower among exclusively breastfed babies compared with partially breastfed babies (Kramer & Kakuman, 2012). If breastfed, about half of all diarrhoea episodes and a third of respiratory infections would be avoided (Victora et al., 2016) thus protecting against hospital admissions (Victora et al., 2016; UNICEF, 2005). Breast milk is also associated with a reduction in asthma (Oddy, 2013; Victora et al., 2016), protection against otitis media (Victora et al., 2016), and childhood lymphomas (Guise et al., 2005). A Research Study On Breastfeeding Case study: breastfeeding "Breast feeding rates in developed countries such as the UK, Australia and the US are typically lower than World Health Organisation goals" Parkinson (2010) 3. From a study carried out by Queensland university stressed the importance of not only the delivery of literature on how effective breastfeeding is for your babies health but that what was also needed to increase the number of breast feeders was to give personal support and explains social and environmental benefits also. When they looked at the UK in particular, Parkinson (2010) 3 stated "women already understood that breastfeeding was good for their baby, and what they needed were the tools to help them to breastfeed longer. From this it is clear that although effective and sufficient information around the benefits of the child is being addressed, there is no sufficient information or skills being given direct to the parents in order for them to carry this out for any length of time. • 50. Persuasive Essay On Breastfeeding Women in this world have a right to bear children and take care of them. As a new parent, there are millions of questions, worries, and decisions one deals with throughout the whole child's life. When a child is first born, a mother has to decide whether or not to breastfeed or formula feed. The nutrition a baby receives in the first months of life is what determines if the baby has a good or bad start. Women should breastfeed their children because breastfeeding boosts chances of success for their child, allows their baby to receive natural immunity from antibodies, mothers are less likely to develop diseases such as cancers or diabetes, and breastfeeding stimulates oxytocin to promote bonding between mother and child. Breastfeeding is the best choice for a baby. The natural process of breastfeeding is the most beneficial for the baby and many studies have concluded that breastfeeding boosts chances of success. In Brazil, a group of doctors took on a project to see if there was a difference from a breastfed child and a formula fed one. These doctors randomly picked out more than 3,000 babies and studied them from the time they were born until they turned thirty years old (Breast–Feeding). Once these babies reach thirty, they were given an IQ test that concluded, "the subjects who were breast–fed for 12 months or more had a higher IQ than those who were breast–fed for less than one month. The difference in IQ was 3.76 points" (Horta). Not only does breastfeeding have an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Essentially, this is equivalent to the properties of logarithms in the modern–day classroom, without the Log Table of course. But, why is this important? The answer is the same for logarithms as it is for the forgotten trigonometric functions: it was easier and quicker for mathematicians and dilettantes at the time. Understanding the conduct and purpose of pre–calculator logarithms, it can be applied to the infamous world of trigonometry. In her article Lamb states, "Near the angle θ=0, cos(θ) is very close to 1." (Lamb) Therefore, to perform certain computations such as subtracting 1 from cos(θ) would yield a very precise result – one that, without a calculator, would be nearly impossible to render. When significant figures are taken into account (that is, the resulting number without leading or trailing zeroes; a popular application in chemical sciences and advanced mathematics), the level of complication can build drastically if only so many of them are present in an answer. And while that may not be a problem in one's early arithmetic, it can prove devastating later on. But not only do the special trigonometric functions, which I will name shortly, ... • 57. Compare And Contrast Formula Milk And Infant Milk Based on Oxford Dictionary, a formula is a baby's liquid food based on cow's milk or 'soya' protein that is given as a substitute for breast milk whereas breast milk is defined as milk produced by a woman's breasts after childbirth as food for her child. Formula milk and breast milk is also known as formula infant and maternal milk respectively. Formula milk has existed since the past 100 years. Initially, the researchers did not understand the unique properties of maternal milk since there was no modern technology for them to do research regarding the importance of maternal milk. Parents and doctors were also not confident with the benefits of maternal milk since its texture seemed to be very clear and unhealthy. Therefore, formula milk is ... However, solutions should be taken into account from family to society in order to encourage women to breastfeed their babies. Firstly, as a husband, he should give a moral support to her wife to feed their infants with maternal milk because a wife will definitely listen to her husband to feed their infants as the husband is considered as one of the closest people to a wife. Secondly, media should give exposure to women on the importance of breastfeeding through social media such as Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Lastly, the public needs to change their perspective towards women who feed their babies with maternal milk because public's perception has made most of the women feel ashamed and do not have the confidence to breastfeed their infants especially in public area during emergency cases. After taking these solutions into consideration, hopefully, the rate of women that breastfeed their infants will be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 59. How Racing Share The Same Fundamentals Of Racing Regardless of if you enjoy racing or not, you likely know what either Nascar or Formula One is. In the United States of America, Nascar is by far the most popular form of racing. This popularity allows the sport to have its "4.5 billion [dollar]" television contract that "began in 2007"(Odland). Meanwhile in the rest of the world, Formula One is the most popular. Evidently, Formula One generates an immense amount of wealth as well. Red Bull, a sponsor in Formula One, is thought to have generated "an estimated $283 million in brand exposure" in just one season alone(Smith). Due to the fact that they are both forms of racing, a multitude of people group these two very different genres of racing together and claim that they are basically the same. While there are some central similarities, these are two abundantly different forms of racing. The most important and basic similarity is that both forms of racing share the same fundamentals of racing. The essential differences between the two include the cars that are driven as well as the tracks used for races. Both Nascar and Formula One share the same fundamentals of racing. The ultimate goal is to win every race that you possibly can. This is done by finishing before, often in front of, everyone else. In each form of racing, drivers take what are called pit stops. This is when a driver pulls into a designated area where his/her team is located. Then that teams provides car adjustments and fuel. These pit stops are critical ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 61. Breast Feeding Vs. The Bottle Breast–feeding vs. The Bottle: The Decision is yours "Some mothers have to give up breastfeeding even though they want to breastfeed. To give up breastfeeding can be a sensitive issue in a time when breastfeeding is promoted as the healthiest for mother and child" (Larsen & Kronborg, 2013, p. 848). The debate over whether breast–feeding is better than bottle–feeding or vice versa has been a debate for many years. With more and more research that is continuously being developed, the option to breast–feed or bottle–feed is ultimately up to the parents of the child. Although the decision could be based on factors such as a physical incapability or financial burdens, the end result should always be what is going to be best for the baby. As research continues to grow, there has been proven evidence of the positive and negative aspects that come with breast–feeding and bottle– feeding. The Benefits of Breast Feeding Starting from infancy, parents have the right to make the decisions in their new child's life, which includes breast–feeding their child. "Infant nutrition is important in development and health throughout life" (Klag, McNamara, Geraghty, & Keim, 2015, p. 1059) Although the process has been known to bring some complications and many attempts, the end result has been proven to be beneficial to not only the infant during that time but can be tracked in their life down the line. My teacher shot down the question, shattering my curiosity at the same time. Her answer, like every other adult I asked why something was the way it was, "You will understand when you are older, let's focus on this topic for now." To all those teachers who told me I would understand something once I was older, "How much older do I need to get?" Here is another unanswered why question, "Why does the United States' education system promote conformity instead of individuality?" I never understood as a child why being curious and searching for the unknown answers was looked down upon, but now I see our education system was established to prepare citizens to learn the same way and conclude the same way, all while developing trust in the system. The United States' education system is a curiosity killer and causes fear of individuality and conformity in children early on in their educational journeys. The heart–wrenching fact about our education system is students learn that there is only one way to write, one way to learn, and one way to achieve success. This process starts early on to ensure children learn to accept the "...framework, in which they will follow orders, except existing frameworks, and not challenge and so on." (Chomsky). Until recently I hadn't realized how early children begin the molding process, but looking back on my childhood I remember how early I learned the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 65. Essay Breast Feeding Is Best Breast Feeding Is Best Breast feeding not only provides the perfect food and food delivery system for infants, it is also the most family friendly choice a new mother can make. "Human breast milk contains at least one hundred ingredients not found in cow's milk and that cannot be exactly duplicated in commercial formulas" (Eisenburg 3). As a baby grows and changes, breast milk automatically individualizes itself for each infant. The nutrients in breast milk alter themselves to fit the baby's needs. Breast milk is more easily digested than cow's milk or formula. "The amount of protein in mother's milk (1.5%) is lower than in cow's milk (3.5%) (Brockport 1), making it gentler on the infant's stomach. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Breast milk contains one–third the mineral salts of cow's milk, thus making it gentle to the kidneys. There is less phosphorous in breast milk as well. The higher phosphorus content of cow's milk is linked to a decreased calcium level in the formula fed infant's blood. Breast fed babies are far less likely to become ill during the first year than formula fed babies. " The transfer of immune factors in breast milk and in the pre–milk substance, colostrum, provides partial protection. Every time breast fed infants suckle at their mother's breast from the first time to the last; they are getting a healthy dose of anti–bodies to bolster their immunity to disease" (Eisenburg 54). One recent study suggest " there may also be a decreased risk of childhood cancer in breast fed babies" (Eisenburg 55 ). Breast fed babies are well–nourished since breast feeding works by supply and demand. The more the baby nurses the greater the mother's milk production. Overall, babies that are breast fed have less health problems than babies that are artificially fed. "They have three times fewer ear infections, five times fewer urinary tract infections, five times fewer serious illnesses and seven times fewer allergies. Babies who are fed mother's milk exclusively, for at least their first twenty–six weeks, are six times less likely to develop lymphoma (a type of cancer) in childhood, and babies breast fed for at least one year are only half as likely to develop diabetes" ... Benetton Sportssystem is the fastest growing division of Benetton group and it already represent 21,3% of turnover[6]. With 55% of its sales realised in North America, it is also much less focused on Europe[7]. • 69. Breastfeeding Intention, Motivation And Initiation Essay Breastfeeding Intention, Motivation and Initiation The small amount of breastfeeding intention research that exists focuses heavily on populations considered at risk, referring to those in economically disadvantaged areas or lower wage earners with lower educational backgrounds, often with lower maternal age and worse outcomes in the birth process (Cabieses et al., 2014; Declercq et al., 2014; Holbrook et al., 2013; Li et al., 2005: McInnes et al., 2001; Shaker et al., 2004). These studies show that women's attitudes regarding breastfeeding create strong motivators for the intent to breastfeed. Those with positive associations with breastfeeding are most likely to want to breastfeed and those with negative associations with breastfeeding are most likely to choose not to breastfeed. In studies where women were selected as the result of choosing not to breastfeed, researchers found heightened levels of expressed personal reasons that reflected negative associations with breastfeeding, including a lack of consistent education by hospital staff (Ogbuanu et al., 2009; Shaker et al., 2004; Wirihana & Barnard, 2011). Education in mixed method feedings was lacking at all levels of intention to breastfeed, Geraghty et al. (2013) noted, even in a population study that was based on respondents who wanted to breastfeed, and sought professional help for problems while breastfeeding. Intention is also linked to the expected success of breastfeeding, as indicated by Attanasio et al. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

An infant who is breastfed receives added health benefits compared to a child who is formula fed. In the first few days after birth, the breast milk is comprised of protein, vitamins A and E, and antibodies which help protect the infant from infection. After the first few days, the mature breast milk contains fats and cholesterol, which are essential for the growth and development of the infant's nervous system, eyes, and brain. It also contains micronutrients calcium and magnesium, which are beneficial to the infant's growth (Thompson et al., 2010). Because of all the healthy components to breast milk, there is significant research showing that children who are breastfed have reduction in diseases, healthier bodies and mouths, and long–term health benefits as well. Research has shown that one of the greatest benefits is a reduction in Type 1 and 2 diabetes. It has been shown that children than develop diabetes have had little or no consumption of human milk. It has also been revealed that children who were fed cereal before four months of age are at a greater risk of developing Type 1 diabetes. Infants who are exclusively breastfed also show a reduction in Chron's disease, ulcerative colitis, Hodgkin's, leukemia, and some childhood lymphomas as lifelong conditions. Because human milk allows for longer maturing of the infant's stomach, there are fewer incidences of asthma and allergies (Ryan, 2012). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 75. Bread Produced with 100% Ontario Based Flour In January, 2013 we began our experimental work by conducting detailed analysis of results of bread produced with 100% Ontario based flour. Since direct application of Ontario based flour resulted in excessive dryness, and reduced volume of bread, we decided to conduct series of semi – industrial trials in order to adapt our present formula to new flour chemical composition. The objective of our investigation in this phase was to apply Ontario flour, and get the bread with the same moisture, and volume as it is originally. After this first attempt in January, 2013 we firstly tried to increase gluten structure. Gluten is additive commonly used in bakery industry which primary function is to enhance gas retention capacity, water absorption, and retention, as well as, increase dough strength. Initially, our formula contained 3 – 4 % of gluten, and we tested formulas with up to 10% of gluten. Increasing of gluten did not give significant results, and formulas with 10% of gluten had increase of volume of about 10%. We did not test formulas with more than 10% of gluten because it is very expensive additive, and it is not economically to apply it in higher concentrations. After learning that gluten does not give expected results, our next step was increasing protein level by introducing the balancing the flours. We decided to introduce harder wheat flours with higher concentration of proteins. Average protein level of Ontario flour is 10.5%, while west flours contain 12.7 ± ...
