household of a family in need of helping a sick child. While helping this child the doctor seems to
be over aggressive with the child. In the story, the doctor says and does some disturbing things while
treating the child which reveals his true self and makes him a reliable reader. Today's world is made
up of an image of doctors who are supposed to help you in every way possible to treat whatever the
problem is that you have. As a reader the things that the doctor says gives an uncomfortable feeling.
For example, while the doctor is trying to perform on the child he says "You're old enough to
understand what I'm saying. Will you open it now by yourself or shall we have to open it up for
you?". As the reader, this is the first thing that would make for an uncomfortable feeling. Although
her projected illness could be one that is life threatening, she still is a child and saying things like
"or shall we have to open it for you" just totally ignores that, and other techniques can be taken to
get her to coo operate. He goes on to say, "After all, I had already fallen in love with the savage
brat". Such words are making the reader look at him in a truly uncomfortable way because now he is

In J.D. Salinger's' Franny and Zooey Franny Glass ,the youngest of many kids, starts to have a break
down. She comes home to her mom Bessie and her brother Zooey. Bessie wants Zooey to talk to
Franny about what is wrong. He doesn't really want to at first, but he comes around to it. She tries to
ignore him to get him to go away, but he won't. He talks to her about why he thinks she should stop
saying their Jesus prayer, something that has helped Franny through a lot. He makes her cry. And
walks away to a secret phone that only calls other phones in that house, and pretends to be Buddy,
the oldest living brother.
Franny answers the phone and starts talking to who she thinks is Buddy, but is really Zooey. Zooey

Literary Analysis February 10, 1675 was a sorrowful day for Mary Rowlandson's hometown
(Lancaster). Indians came and destroyed their town showing no remorse. Many were killed and
wounded. Some were taken captive. Among those captive is a women named Mary Rowlandson.
Throughout her captivity she kept a journal of all her removals and interactions she had with the
Indians. The day the Indians invaded their town they used hatchets, arrows, and guns to scare and
harm the colonists. Rowlandson herself was shot in the side from a raining cloud of bullets. Her
sister's eldest son gave word to her about them being wounded and she in return says "And Lord, let

A few years ago, my cousin decided to take me to a concert as a birthday gift and I was so excited
because it was going to be my first concert which was a huge deal. We went to go see hip–hop artist,

This is also unusual because there are not many other films and play productions that centre on a
disabled person. Some people believe that people with disabilities are second class citizens and
many people with a handicap suffer abuse whilst trying to live their lives.
Lee Hall encourages and creates a sympathetic relationship between
Spoonface and the audience in many different ways. One of these ways is the creation of Spoonfaces
character.
Spoonface likes opera music and this is very important to her and it is a major theme, which runs
throughout the play. It is played immediately at the beginning of the play as Spoonface starts to
speak this instantly gives us the connection with her interest. Opera music is played between the
different sections of the play; Lee Hall does this to provide a break from listening to one voice and
to evoke emotion. For Spoonface opera music symbolises death and dying beautifully as she says
when talking about opera singers, 'and everyone would be looking and they would cry and in their
hearts they would weep for the poor lady – the poor lady who dies so well.' This also shows

extreme confidence and his status as a man, when he says to her father that Katherine has already
agreed to marry him, when in reality she definitely has not. Then the scene at the wedding, he

willingness to comply with Petruchio's commands and his desire to be with Kate given her
reputation makes sense if we accept the explanation that the both truly love one another behind all

The poem "Phenomenal Women" is about how the speaker has confidence with her body. It was
written by Maya Angelou. She talks about how she does not look like a model but she still considers
herself pretty because she is confident with herself. Even though people think they have to look like
a model to be pretty, she is confident with herself the way she is. She lists the things off about
herself that she loves and when normally people wouldn't love them because a model looks
differently than she does. From this poem readers may learn that you do not have to look like a
model to be confident and be considered pretty.
In the the poem there are many poetic devices. There is lots of repetition and refrain like in the end
of every every stanza it says, "I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me" (st. 1).
There are four stanzas. In each stanza there are kind of stanzas within stanzas. Each section of the
stanza has different ideas. The first part of the stanza explains what people think about her. The
second part of the stanza is her describing how she sees herself. The third part of the stanza uses the
refrain saying phenomenal woman. All of the four stanzas are structured that way. Every time Maya
Angelou writes "I say" (ln. 5) and uses imagery to describe herself, the rhyme scheme is ABCB.

The second song I analyzed was "Paradise" by Coldplay. Similarly to "Kids", the song "Paradise"

current marriage with Wendell Walker, who holds her back from achieving her dreams because of
his lazy and pessimistic character. This is proven as Billy says, "But she hadn't seen it before, and
now she believed that his character was getting in front of her realizing a very important dream."

Everything Changes The Opposite of Loneliness spoke to me in a way that let me know that
everyone is scared of the future. The author is telling her audience that she is scared of the fact that
when she leaves Yale she may not ever feel the web of safety that she feels there when she
graduates. Everyone always hears about how college is the best years of their lives but why? Is it

She not only uses words to describe how she feels but she also pauses in between some words and
phrases to add emotion to her speech. She describes how she feels by saying, "We don't have a word
for the opposite of loneliness, not if we did, I'd say that's how I feel at Yale. How I feel right now.
Here. With all of you. In love, impressed, humbled, scared. And we don't have to lose that." By
Keegan putting that pauses in this part of her speech makes her audience feel a sense of awareness
of how everything will end up okay and how they don't have to worry about the future. This quote
makes her audience feel not only confident about the future but also excited knowing that they will
all be there for each other. Context Keegan uses context to show what her speech is mainly directed
for. After reading her speech it is easy to understand what she is writing her speech for. She is
writing her speech at her graduation at Yale. She basically spells the context out for the listener
when she says "when we wake up tomorrow after Commencement and leave." By her saying
leaving it lets the audience know that she is writing this speech for graduating because of the fact
that Commencement is something that happens after graduation. She also lets the audience know

program. Ava has decided to pursue her degree in counseling psychology because she does not want
to spend years in a classroom. However, there are times when Ava is unsure she wants to continue

does not want her to stay in the classroom. Her mom says the school system is very different from
when she started teaching. She says her mom always talk about less autonomy when it comes to

"To my Dear and Loving Husband" written by Anne Bradstreet, is the story of a woman admiring
love for her husband. On the other hand, "My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun" written by
William Shakespeare, is the story of the love a man feels for an imperfect woman. Although the two
poems are about love, they interpret it in different ways through rhythmic structure, and emotional
expression.
"To my Dear and Loving Husband" has an impeccable rhythmic alignment. It starts with repeating
"if ever" three times in the first three lines. She uses this to express her deep love for her husband
and at the same time to confirm it. In the fourth line, she compares her love for her husband with the

This is used to connect the last part of every line. Also, the poem is mainly a satire, not a serious
poem like Bradstreet's. Instead of praising his mistress, he emphasizes her imperfections and bad
characteristics. On the other hand, Bradstreet only mentions the good aspects of her husband. She
never says anything negative about him. From the first line to line ten, Shakespeare describes his
mistress not as the typical ideal woman, but as someone ordinary. He expresses this especially in the
fourth line where he uses personification to compare her hair to black wires. Some of the things he
says are; that her eyes are not shiny, her lips are not red, her breast are brown instead of the perfect
white, her breath odor is unpleasant and her voice is not melodious. He does this to make his poem
stand out from the crowd, and also to not make it exactly as other love poems, such as Bradstreet's.
He wants his poem to be more humorous and realistic. In Bradstreet's poem everything is perfect,
and in reality it does not matter what relationship we are in, perfection does not exist. After he
criticizes the woman in all possible ways, his poem takes a turn. From lines eleven to fourteen, he
