Examples Of Being Extrovert
My friends in school think that I am just a normal with no life at all. However, outside of school, I
have a whole different kind of personality which is being extroverted. I disagree with my friends in
school that I have no life and have not many friends. In my friends' perspective, being extroverted
means being very famous and is the kind of person who stands out from the rest, but for me, it just
means that I can relate to other people by having a kind heart and an open mind. The word extrovert
came from the Latin word "extro" meaning extra and "vertere" meaning turn. Having said this, the
real meaning of the word is if the person has an attitude of being friendly, sociable, and talkative.
However, people who are extroverted have a different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Our vice president told us that you should vote me as vice president. So that day, we voted him as
VP. However, we already doubted his capability of leading the class because of his feeling cool
attitude, rude, and boastful attitude. Having officers like this would not even lead us to nothing. He
was a type of person that will just pass out the fault to other people. He says that its not my fault, it's
the class' fault. Obviously, this affects us because we did not do anything then he blames us. There
was one time wherein almost every Chinese class, we would be noisy. When our class advisers
knew about this, he would suspect the people who is very noisy all the time. However, these are the
one that are noisy, even the officers are noisy. Sometimes, the officers or the leaders cannot admit
that they did this because they are afraid to be impeached or such. Having said the points that my
friends in school, my perspective of being extroverted is when a person has an attitude of relating
into the conversations and experiences of others. This also includes having a kind heart and
openness of mind. For me, I can act more freely and more independently outside of school rather
than in school. Me and my teammates' bond is very strong. Often, we converse for about half an
hour, talking about our experiences in school and our experiences in the past competitions. This

Personal Narrative Essay
The spring sun peeks through the trees on 89th Avenue as I trudge up the incline. School's out for
the day and the library is my next stop. My thoughts are punctuated with the weight of education I
carry and the students driving by at the "speed limit." But silence inevitably returns, and one can
hear the solidness of my backpack and the rhythmic jingle of its zippers colliding as I progress
closer to the library, bringing me closer to fulfilling my daily routine. I love my backpack. It's a dark
silvery gray OGIO with five large pockets adequate for carrying numerous notebooks, binders, or
anything I deem worthy of carrying. I don't recall ever having to remove something because it
would render a more important item unable to fit. It's practical and simple; that's why I like it. I don't
need flashy colors or designs or the latest breathability technology on my backpack. If it can carry
everything soundly, I'll keep it. I place my backpack with a noticeable thud upon the wooden chair
and sit down on the adjacent chair with a sigh of relief. Not many people are at the library today so
open tables are available for the taking. The first item I always take out is my navy blue two–inch
binder. It's gotten pretty heavy over the school year and has received a couple scratches and strain
marks on the cover–minor ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Stomach grumbling, I grab my water bottle and pull out snacks. One chocolate Clif bar, a bag of
lightly salted saltine crackers, and some Kellogg fruity snacks, niceeeee! I always carry snacks and

and coupled with a stressful workload, they can cripple one's mentality. Even if I go on a short trip, I
pack snacks and water just in case. Preparation goes a long way. Whether for a test, a trip, or a

The Choice
I was the start of a new day, the sun was shining, and autumn had decided take over for summer. I
just started a new sport, and my first practice was today. My gaze was fixed on the window
watching the cars drive by, and then my dad popped the question. The decision that I made about
this question has shaped and changed my life forever.
I had woken up in feeling very gusto that day all because my first volleyball practice was supposed
to start today. It was a nice cool fall morning with red, orange, and golden leaves scattered all over
the ground, in the trees, and filling the air. I walked outside and felt the cool, crisp air expand around
my body. My breath was thin and clear as I released each breath. Stepping into the car, ... Show

When I rose from my deep slumber, we were halfway home and my dad was talking with my mom
on the phone, so I decided that it would be amusing if I pretended that I was asleep and listened to
their conversation. I deliberately realised that their conversation was about me. I gradually started to
wonder what they could possibly be talking about that was so important, so I was still and listened
as closely as possible. Then I heard it the only word that I didn't want to hear. Sports. I started to
become anxious and fearful as I started to wonder what they wanted to do with sports, and why they
were talking specifically about me. My sister did plenty of sports too. My dad hung up the phone
and I finally decided that it was time to open up my eyes. When I did open them up my dad glanced
over at me and said, "Anna we need to talk." I knew that at that moment something wrong and
terrible was about to happen. All I said was, "Okay",and I braced myself for what was about to
happen. He fixed his eyes on the road again, and then looked back at me with a sorrowful look on
his face that made his face look contorted, this is how I knew that I wasn't going to like what he was
going to say at all. He opened his mouth once, but nothing came out. He opened it the same way
again only this time the words came spilling out of his mouth.

The Best Vacation : San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico Essay
A marvelous weekend in December of 2006 had gone by in San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico.
San Felipe is an attractive beach town with numerous activities and breathtaking views. My family
and I enjoyed juicy mangos on the sandy beach, the best fresh and crispy fish tacos under tons of
surrounding palm trees, and other seafood that was recently fished out of the warm ocean. The food
was great, but the activities were even better. Banana rides, parasailing, and jet skiing were among
the best activities that I had ever experienced. The rocky water of the Gulf of Mexico and splashes
of warm salty ocean water made the banana rides and jet skiing unforgettable. Parasailing allowed
me to see a breathtaking aerial view of the deep blue ocean, and feel as if I had escaped Earth for a
few minutes. It was the best. The best vacation of my life at the time was over, and it was time to sit
for six hours in a van. My parents, siblings, and I were in a dark green 2000 Chevrolet Astro
Minivan. My uncle and his family were in a black GMC Sierra. All the luggage was in vehicles, and
we departed at 9 am. I still hate long road trips because of the hours and hours that I remain stuck in
the car. After being in paradise for the weekend, I did not look forward to the long ride home. The
weather at the time was blazing hot and extremely humid. The windows of the van felt as hot as
melting lava. I was not able to touch the window with my finger for longer than 5 seconds. As a

A Hero's Journey Behind A Seagull
Guido was a seagull that grew up on the wrong side of the tracks in Aberdeen, Scotland. This area
was not an ideal setting to raise a family of seagulls, however, his parents did the best they could
with what they had. His parents were poor and had to beg to have enough food to feed their flock,
but young Guido did not know any different. He always had food and shelter while his world
remained small and familiar. As Guido started to mature, he met other seagulls in his neighborhood.
He was so excited, as he finally had something that he could call his, and that was his friends. He
became close friends with another seagull named Tony. Tony and Guido became the best of friends
and could always be seen playing, walking and flying around the park. It was a friendship that
would certainly last a lifetime. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He captured the store owner's attention, who immediately grabbed a broom and started swatting at
Al. Guido then rushed the store and grabbed the crisp and then, he heard something go terribly

his last swing, hit an old woman in the head. Due to the force of the broom, she screamed and fell
into an entire row of candy and cookies knocking the once neat shelves, on the floor. The store
owner paused to help the old woman that had just been knocked over, and Al saw his chance to head
to the front of the building. Al saw Guido and the others standing outside the store with the bag of
crisps. As Al finally cleared the store he met the other three, and the four proceeded straight to Luis

Descriptive Essay About Lifeguards
Fifteen minutes. That's the time I spend in each lifeguard stand before rotating to the next. I ascend
the white, grooved ladder rungs of the stand. One, two, three, turn around, sit down. I slip off my
shoes, exposing the embarrassingly obvious tan lines on my feet. With the rescue tube strap tossed
over my head and arm, and the red foam tube resting across the armrests of the chair, I bring the
plastic whistle to my mouth. A shrill, rolling sound is released: a signal to the eager children,
stationed at the edge of the pool and giddy with anticipation, that the day has officially begun. The
pool is open. The first fifteen minutes.
The gruelling sun of two summers' of work has faded away the thrilling newness of climbing up that
lifeguard stand. My first day on the job, I relished the climb, soaking in the responsibility and glory.
Fifteen minutes flew by that day. Growing up, the lifeguards at my neighborhood pool were viewed
as celebrities by the younger kids. My friends and I admired how incredibly cool and intimidating
they were. Their stands were, in our young eyes, thrones. But now that I'm on the other side of it, I
laugh at the thought of lifeguards being "cool" or "intimidating." I'm far from either of those things.
And the stand? It's nothing special. I just do my job: I am paid to sit, perched on a wobbly plastic
chair on stilts, monitoring the happenings of the pool for hours on end.
Even with the umbrella fastened to the stand, the heat proves unbearable. The

August Pullman Analysis
" Don't try too hard to be cool.It always shows, and that's uncool." – Amos Conti
The novel Wonder teaches readers things that us humans can't imagine. Like this little boy named
August Pullman in the story he is a 5th grader starting a public school. The thing is August is not an
average human being. In fact he's a very special soul. August was born with mandibulofacial but he
is always scared to see people for the reason that they will judge him. When he starts school people
bully him because of how he looks and that makes him feel worse of himself. That reason is not
right to judge. Although people change their minds about August, kids at Beecher Prep bully August
because of his appearance, herd behavior, and fear.
To start off, August's appearance is not like an average looking person in fact he's better. Why? You
may ask, well because he is unique not the fact that he was born with facial disorder. But the fact
that he is that way makes him one–hundred percent much better than anyone else. According to A
Teen and A Trolley Reveal society's Dark Side says that a young girl named Tiffany went up to
people and told them whether they would save 5 people and kill 1 or save 1 and kill 5. There was a
catch every time she went up to a different person Tiffany would change their appearances for
example if the one person that was on the right side of the track was attractive

Benefits Administration:
Diminishing Risk and Increasing Value
Introduction
Your clients are demanding it and their employees are expecting it. Is the competition delivering it?
Vendors are continuously trying to form a relationship with your organization.
We're referring to benefits administration and automating antiquated paper–driven processes of
managing eligibility, employee communication, enrolling employees into their healthcare options,
facilitating carrier communication of elections, and managing compliance.
Supply and demand for benefits administration has been fluctuating for quite some time, but there
has been a recent increase in demand due to the legal ramifications of the Affordable Care Act and
the compliance that has been placed upon employers as well as competition in the marketplace.
Consideration to benefits administration is becoming a primary focus for organizations. When
making a decision on whom to partner with, employers are looking to reduce administrative costs,
empower the employee, reduce paper, find a user–friendly customizable system, meet ACA
requirements, and simplify reporting. Other factors include proving the overall value to executives,
understanding the implementation process, ease, and timeliness of a conversion.
When it comes to offering technology and innovative services for benefits administration to clients,
an agency must have focus on two particular areas:
Diminishing Risk and Increasing Value
With any proficient gain

Creative Writing: The Sound Of Drilling
I woke to the sound of drilling. The vibrations rattling my skull. My head was throbbing as I sat
myself up, the weariness of fatigue setting in. My clothes were filthy. My pants were stained and
torn as if I had been dragged along the ground. Where was I? And why did my body ache? I
remembered brief flashes. Of medical tools; scalpels, needles, and the harsh smell of antiseptic. Of
peeling white walls. Of a bloodied white lab coat. Then I remembered the cold. Ice freezing and
scratching. Snow biting my exposed skin. I shivered. Rubbing my eyes groggily, I surveyed my
surroundings. The walls were a dirty grey concrete, sealing me into a small, confined space.

All the same white. Their only difference being the number on the front panelling. As I ran the
drilling got louder until it was the only thing I could hear. Abruptly it stopped. Low murmurs
sounded behind the door to my left. Panicking, I tried the door on my right. To my luck, it was
unlocked. Slipping inside, I found myself in what seemed to be a supply closet of sorts. Before I
even realised what I was doing I had gathered several tools, some fertilizer, and a smoke detector.
With a small screwdriver, I unscrewed the top of the smoke detector and removed it. Using scissors I
carefully cut the wires attached to the fuse and crossed them over so when power was sent through
the circuit, the fuse would blow and ignite. Fertilizer was next. Leaving enough room for some
oxygen, I filled the rest of the empty space with the explosive powder. I screwed the top back on
very carefully, then listened for anyone nearby. Hearing nothing, I edited the supply closet and

The Life Of My Life
One day not too Long ago, I lived a normal life, basically a normal teen life but maybe a little better.
Perfect grades, perfect family, perfect friends. I loved my life, I didn't want anything to change.
Everyday was basically the same I'd wake up happy to see my friends, even if I had to go to school.
But I actually like school I don't know why people wouldn't like school, it forms your future and lets
you have a better, stronger life. My friends are very close to me we basically know everything about
each other, which gets creepy every once and awhile but I still love them. Their all like my second
family and nothing could ever get in the way of our friendship. We invented each other to everything
so no one feels left out, and did ever club together, even if we didn't like it, but we still did it
because we love each other. Until one day a new girl came at first nobody really noticed her. But
after awhile she somehow got closer to my friends. She would sit with us at lunch, talk with us in
the morning, and after awhile she was in about all the group chats, even the ones we didn't really
use. I felt a little left out, I mean she was getting all this attention and all I knew about her would be
her name, Anna. Everyone was paying attention to her and I just felt like a ghost on the side. Which

The fleeting changes that often accompany seasonal transition are especially exasperated in a child's
mind, most notably when the cool crisp winds of fall signal the summer's end approaching. The lazy
routine I had adopted over several months spent frolicking in the cool blue chlorine soaked waters of
my family's bungalow colony pool gave way to changes far beyond the weather and textbooks. As
the surrounding foliage changed in anticipation of colder months, so did my family. My mother's

I had violent, grass–stained war games with my neighborhood friends, while my mother worked in
her small vegetable garden among the honeybees, and watched things grow. An ever–present
warming smell of knishes and hot dogs permeated around every inch of my block as the nearby
concession pumped a constant flow of fresh food to hungry little leaguers and their families.
Looking up, the summer sky looked like an Easter egg God had dipped in blue dye.
Those warm summer nights after long days of camp were greatly anticipated events back then. My
cousin and I itched with repressed energy throughout the long bus ride from various tri–state area
attractions. We couldn't wait to get home and see what types of shenanigans we could get into. We
couldn't wait to slide down the steep, blue–carpeted staircase on our bottoms, and then on our
stomachs. Most of all, we couldn't wait to go down to the basement. The basement was better than a
toy store. Yes, the old–fashioned milk chute in the kitchen wall was enchanting, and the laundry
chute was fun because it was big enough to throw down my sisters stuffed companions, so my
cousin could catch them below in the laundry room, as our voices echoed up and down the chute.
But the basement was better than all of these, better even than sliding down those stairs on rug–
burned bottoms.
It was always deliciously cool down

Analysis Of The Movie ' Gone Girl No One Should Criticize...
Rosamund Pike said, "When the eyes are on you for the first time, you can 't believe that people aren
't criticizing you," and after her fantastic acting performance as Amy Dunne in Gone Girl no one
should criticize her. Gone Girl is full of brilliant acting by many of the characters, but the actress
that stood out the most to me was Rosamund Pike as Amy Dunne. The theme of the movie is that
everyone has to conform to some stereotype deemed "okay" by society in order to be liked. We all
have to put on a face and act to be someone we are not, and Rosamund Pike as Amy Dunne portrays
this beautifully. She is always acting, acting like the cool girl, acting like the victim but underneath
it she is someone very different; she is not a female stereotype deemed fit by society but a
psychopath. She therefore creates a multidimensional character with many layers.
The first time the audience sees Amy Dunne she is playing the ultimate cool girl. Nick introduces
himself to her at a party and she creates an image of a sexy, mysterious, carefree girl. She has her
hair in an effortless ponytail with stray pieces cascading down her face, which reflects her
personality: laid back and sexy without trying to hard. When they first meet she is witty and casual,
performing the ultimate cool girl stereotype perfectly. As Nick and Amy's relationship progresses the
audience sees more and more of this; she literally embodies the perfect woman. But when she
becomes her "real" self, it shows

My First Day Of School
"Lub dub lub dub lub dub" That was the sound of my heart pounding out of my chest at 8 O'clock in
the morning of September 6th. This was not just another Orthodox day. This unholy day signified
the end of summer and the beginning of students despondency: School. I laid my right hand firmly
on my chest, in efforts of stopping my alarming heart beat from waking up my cousin that was
gracefully sleeping just 7 foot away. I tried in vain to imagine jubilant experiences at American
Public schools, which I had obtained from books to make me feel less nervous. I held on to books
by Maya Angelou, Harper Lee, and other great authors to familiarize myself with the complex
American culture.
I was solicitous to cultivate the idea that it was my first day of school as a senior in a whole different
school, different country, different continent. I felt like an alien, an alien civilization which I was
accustomed to just like Gerald Graff who was "a middle–class Jew growing up in an ethnically
mixed Chicago neighborhood" (Graff 2). I closed my eyes for what seemed like an eternity so I can

senior year battling senioritis, criticizing the over the top descriptions in books about the U.S and

Softball Descriptive Writing
Well, it was a cold day, actually pretty warm for an afternoon in the middle of March. I could
actually listen to my heart beating. My nerves were running wild and I knew I was going to explode
with eagerness any time soon. Ever since I was little, softball has been my favorite sport. I'm 5'8,
which is pretty tall for a girl, so I have an advantage. People were getting called into the coach's
office and it was pretty obvious when they walked out if they were satisfied with the news they got
on whether or not they made varsity. SLAM! Went the door as my coach walked into the gym. It
was like it was being screamed, but my name was finally called. I walked into the cold, musty
smelling room as my coaches all stared at me with big smiles on their faces. The bright lights, as
bright as the sun, hung over my head and the odor of dirty cleats stained the furniture and walls.

When I found out, I wasn't really sure how to react. Her grin, as wide as a sharks, glowed. I was so
excited, I couldn't believe it. I froze. My mouth was dry, and I would scream but for obvious reasons
I couldn't. If I was to scream, you could probably be able to hear it from a mile away. My heart was
beating like drums would as my coach handed me my jersey, which was eager to get on my back. I
even got the number I wanted too. The number, my favorite, stood out like a sore thumb. My coach
seemed pretty excited too, you could tell by the excitement splattered on her face. As I walked out of
the gym, everyone was asking me if I made the varsity or JV. I thought it was pretty easy to tell what
my answer was going to be. The breeze from the fan above me was blowing my hair everywhere.

Research Paper On Scoliosis
Hi, I am Sara Fairman and I am a normal girl. I have blonde hair, light skin, green eyes and a bit of
freckles. But one thing is different about me. Something you would not notice by just looking at me.
You would have to look deeper. Literally. I have scoliosis. The definition of scoliosis is the
abnormal lateral curvature of the spine. I hate it. I have had scoliosis for 2 years now. I have learned
to cope with it. This is my scoliosis story. It all started when I was 10 years old just starting 5th
grade. 1st year of middle school. I had a doctor's appointment right in the middle of social studies. I
love social studies! Well, right as I got in the room, I had to leave. I had a check up. They checked

It was partly because of the x–ray. I decided to interrogate my mom about everything she knew. I
did not get much more information than I already knew. So that was hopeless. Meanwhile all my

everything they wanted to. I was doing not so good in school. I had all B+'s except for one A– in my
language, one A in An I usually get all A's! I researched scoliosis. That's what I did instead of
studying. I hated scoliosis. I really hoped I did not have it. But sadly that was not the case. On the
5th of November we got the results after school on Friday. I had it. I was going to come to the Idaho
Scoliosis center to get my back brace on Saturday, have a follow up on Sunday, and miss part of
school on Monday for the final adjustments. When I woke up I got dressed at 8:45. We were
supposed to be there at 9:30 AM. I went downstairs at 9:00 after getting dressed and brushing my
teeth. When it was time to go I did no want to go. "Nooooooooo! I don't want to!" I cried. "If you

Waterfall Short Story
Waterfall The story of how I jumped off a waterfall starts one brisk morning in Costa Rica. My
brother, my dad, and I woke up pretty early given the fact that we were on vacation. I wasn't too
thrilled about losing out on a few hours of sleep, but my brother didn't seem to mind. As I stepped
out into the cool Costa Rican air I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy the hike we would be going on.
My dad said "There is a waterfall at the end of the trail, and I think we can swim in the water
beneath it." None of that really excited me. I had seen quite a few waterfalls on other trips that I had
been on and didn't think they were anything super special. On top of that, I could walk down to the
beach and swim if I really wanted to. I would much rather go to the beach and boogie board than go
see a waterfall. After a short discussion, I reluctantly got in the car. It was a long ride to the start of
the trail, so I was able to get a little more sleep. For most of the ride I looked out the window at the
infinite amount of trees. I don't think I had ever seen more trees in my life. They were everywhere.
On both sides of the road there were tall trees with long vines hanging from them. The thing that I
found more amazing was how dense the forest was. I could barely see five feet into the trees
because it was so dark. The trees blocked out just about every inch of sunlight. I remember my
brother asking "What happens if you get lost in there?". I answered "Well you would probably never

Descriptive Essay About The Pool
"Alright, kiddos," Teacher announces, "we're here. Before we head into the pool, let's check. What
are the pool rules again?"
An assortment of enthusiastic voices cries out, "Sunscreen, get a buddy, we have to see you–"
Anything said beyond is incomprehensible.
"That's right," confirms Teacher, "you need sunscreen, a swimming buddy, eyes on me, and you
MUST, I repeat, MUST wear your floaties when going to the deep end. That being said, everyone
follow me to the pool."
The short walk to the pool is a blur to Zane. His mind is elsewhere thinking of all the fun things he's
going to do, I'm gonna make big splashes and race my friends and go to the deep end and do cool
things and make big splashes. When the pool finally comes into view, it's a paradise. An ocean of
clear, wavy water covers all the eye can see. Zane can see all the way to the bottom, and if not for
the distorting ripples he would believe it to be empty. The pool makes a distinct "L" shape,
branching off to the side to mark the deeper waters. It is already occupied with people of all ages.
Most are lounging around on rafts or in inner tubes, but some of the younger inhabitants are
gleefully splashing and flailing about. Multicolored balls soar through the air, descending until
forced skywards with a satisfying whack. Just as Zane had imagined, children are in competition,
playing water tag, racing one another, and throwing balls of mass destruction. He finally succumbs
to his anticipation and starts toward the

Personal Narrative: Middle School
After the Bell
It was a crisp fall day in Colorado at my middle school, Lincoln Elementary. The leaves were
beginning to change and fall from the trees as it was finally September. I felt them crush under my
feet while I traveled up and down the pavement. The school's recent addition of a new basketball
court was a dream come true. I could smell the perfectly marked lines that were freshly painted on
the court. My best friend Ryan and I often practiced shooting hoops at recess as we were both
starters on our school's basketball team. On this particular day, we were preparing for our first home
game which was the next day. We had such an intense game of one on one that I completely lost
track of time and did not hear our teacher blow her whistle to call our class inside.
Ringgg. Ringgg. The sound of the loud bell pierced through my head as I dropped my basketball to
the cement out of fear. After the screeching bell stopped ringing, I noticed an eerie silence. As I
glared around the vast playground, I became painfully aware that Ryan and I were the only two
souls outside.

see my near future flash before my eyes, being suspended from school and cut from my basketball
team. Just as the idea of running home entered my mind, I heard the roar of the loud speaker through
the thick air. The tense mood could be interpreted from miles away as Ryan and I clammed up out of
fear. I wondered if we would be announced over the speaker and embarrassed for the whole school
to perceive. The speaker's alarm finally came to a halt after an eternity seemed to pass; I listened

Comparing Disney And Pixar
Since this was your only feature film with Disney, how did that come about?
You usually don't get to get too close to Disney and Pixar like that unless you're a celebrity or you're
somebody on the inside or you know somebody. A lot of the journeyman work is done with a loop
group, and they pick up different characters. Friends of mine do that, and they do great.
The role came to me through my agent. It was "Project X" of course. And it was a paragraph. It was
an old–time radio announcer, and I do all those from different decades. I'm a big fan of those old
radio shows. So I just sent it in and forgot all about it. And a few weeks later, the agent calls,
"Haaay!" That's her voice when she's happy. So they flew me up to PIXAR, and I recorded up there
and did a session here at Warner Bros. with Pete Docter and the crew on the line as well. And even
then, it wasn't guaranteed that I was gonna make the cut 'cause it's PIXAR. Then we found out not
too long before the opening that in fact I was a big part of the beginning of the film, and I was
invited to the Hollywood premiere. {laughs} "Welcome to Hollywood!" That was really cool. Jon
Voight sat right behind me in the premiere of the movie, and I could hear him crying, and I was like,

My Favorite School Field Trip
Some people wouldn't think school could be fun. All that we do is learn. All field trips we go on are
just educational and boring. Well some might be, but many can be fun. You would never think
somewhere you've always wanted to go to would be your next field trip. Somewhere really fun. I
have thought plenty of times in the past that I didn't want to go on the trip it was boring, but I was
wrong and this is why.
My first favorite school memory was in eighth grade. I was in chorus and we were going on a trip to
Massachusetts with the band for a competition. I was super excited and couldn't wait to sell all of
my tickets. When the day finally came I was so excited. We rode in a coach bus which was really
cool because I've never been in one before. When we arrived in Massachusetts we headed over to
where we were having the competition. The competition was being held at a really big school. We
performed and sounded really good. I was super nervous I didn't want to mess up since I had never
done that before.
When we were finally done the competition we got our award handed to us and our tickets to get
into Six Flags. We left the school and head off on our journey to Agawam, Massachusetts where Six
Flags was located. As we got closer and closer there were flags on the side of the road leading us
there and my anticipation grew even stronger. I couldn't wait to get there.
Once we finally arrived everyone couldn't wait to get off the bus and have some fun. I was really
excited. We got off the bus and had a really long walk to get into the park. There were no close
parking spaces for the bus so we had to go all the way to the back parking lot and walk up to the
entrance. Once I walked into the park it was so much bigger than any I expected. All the roller
coasters were huge. I didn't get to go on any because everyone would ask me to hold their stuff but a
couple things I did go on were the bumper cars, a water slide, a boat ride and I played some mini
games. Those were fun enough for me but if I ever go back again I am going to try the roller
coasters. The water slide was really fun. All you had to do was go up a ramp inside a tube and the
ramp would push you down the slide while water was being splashed at

Personal Narrative: My First Football Game
My leg nervously bounced up and down. Around me were rows and rows of bleachers. In front,
there were several palm trees, behind an enormous pool, which glistened in the sunlight. As I
glanced to my right, I noticed that there were hedges blocking a view to an outdoor area of the
school. To the left was the entrance that I had come through. As I sat on the red bleachers, I thought
about what I had to sit there. I was at Sacred Heart High School in Atherton, California. About a
month previous to this, my dad and I had told my old water polo coach that I would be switching
clubs. The change would happen in four weeks. As the days passed by, I grew more and more
apprehensive. What would the new team be like? How would the coach be? Would I regret ... Show

almost 4 years. After I had said all of my goodbyes, I turned to my coach, whom I had known for the
entire time I had played water polo, about 5 years. I took a picture with him, and started to turn
away. As I was walking away, he called after me to come back. When I faced him again, he told me
to remember this club, and to represent them well at my new one. I realized I had been thinking
about all of this when a kid sat down behind me. Shortly after, his friends, who were talking loudly,
joined him. I waited for a few minutes, and watched as more and more kids entered through the
metal gates onto the beautiful pool deck. All around me were unfamiliar faces. There seemed to be

The cool system is the basis for self–regulation and self–control. Consequently, it is a necessary tool
when (not if) conflict occurs.
Spontaneous Reactions
Teams break down when conflict heats up; rather than triggering new creative thinking, it works
instead to slow progress. Often, individuals will go back and forth, repeating the same points over
and over again. Conflicts typically heat up when three conditions are present: controversial or
limited data that are subject to differing interpretations, high uncertainty, and high stakes.
Conversations can get especially heated when people hold different values or belief systems, or have
different interests and incentives. This can make aspects of the conflict hard to discuss productively,
because people often hesitate to mention the personal gain they anticipate from one of the potential
decision outcomes.
Management researchers who study conflict in teams have concluded that conflict is productive, as
long as teams stay away from the personal and emotional aspects of conflict. Task conflict–a
difference of opinion about the product design–is useful. Relationship conflict–personal friction or
emotionality–is counterproductive and should be avoided. Task conflict improves the quality of
decisions by engaging different points of view, while relationship conflict harms group dynamics
and working relations.
Many conflicts arise from personal differences in values or interests but are presented as
professional differences in

Trying to be that rebellious teen isn't as cool as many would think. Have you ever gotten in those

Busch Wildlife, for Cross Country Summer Running during Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in
the summer of 2012 and, at the time, I was only there a couple of times and knew limited amount of
people so I didn't fully know where any path would take me and ask for help. Getting lost for two
and a half hours at Busch Wildlife taught me that it's good to be adventurous and take chances, to
take the time to appreciate the beauty nature has to offer us, and to stay with a group even if they
embarrass you. When making a decision – there is often times a fork in the road, resulting in many
different choices. Before I got lost, I was actually with a group running away from the dangerous
elements (not really but it was going to be very hot that day). Being ahead of the group, I got carried
away and kept marching (or in this case running) forward and until maybe an eighth of a mile I
didn't realize that I heard no footsteps other than mine. Worried, I looked back to realize that I was

behind me. I shrugged and kept going, which was my first mistake and how I got lost in the first

Descriptive Essay On My First Car
A HUGE JOKE I finally was driving my first car to school after about an hour of it being broke or I
thought. My first car was a 1998 Ford Ranger. It had survived 3 teenagers before me and they drove
it all through high school and now it was my turn to drive the white rust bucket to school. My dad
asked if I would need any help and me being a teenager thinking I know everything in the world
said "no". I ripped the keys from my father's firm hand, his face had a smirk on his face like he
knew something I didn't. I sprinted so fast I could have set a world record in the 20 yard dash, to the
truck out of excitement " I'm gonna be so cool because I can drive to school unlike some kids" I
thought. I ripped open the door so hard the whole truck started shaking from the shir force of my
pull. "Damn I'm strong" I thought when I realized what actually happened. I looked back at the
house to see if my father had seen what I did and with my luck he had been watching me the whole
time he still had the damn smirk on his face. "I'm gonna have to hear a lecture later about not
beating the shit out of vehicles", I climbed in the truck but it looked like a little kid trying to shove a
cube into a circular hole. Finally I positioned myself just right that I could fit my whole body into

Speech About Being Extroverted
Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

fauna visible to me at this time is are a few squirrels I see in the corner of my eye. I am a little
confused. We walk into the structure. Today, I learned one major thing, customs are a BORE! It took
us about a year to get through.
When we get to the hotel I expect some sort of Holiday Inn or Best Western type deal. I am
surprised to see a chic resort. It is stunning. Dad says it's some sort of timeshare property. At the
main office they tell Mom that we will be staying at "Jobo 13", pronounced hobo thirteen. This
causes me and my sister, who's two year younger, to lock eyes and grin silently. My brother on the
other hand bursts into giggles. He is five years younger than me. That should explain enough.

My Experience At My First Volleyball Practice
It was the start of a new day, the sun was shining, and autumn had decided take over for the summer.
I had just started a new sport, and my first practice was today.
Stepping into the car, my ... Show

When I rose from my deep slumber, we were halfway home and my dad was talking with my mom
on the phone, so I decided that it would be amusing if I pretended that I was asleep and listened to
their conversation. I deliberately realized that their conversation was about me.
When I did open them up my dad glanced
over at me and said, "Anna we need to talk."
I knew that at that moment something wrong and terrible was about to happen. All I said was,
"Okay", and I braced myself for what was about to happen. He fixed his eyes on the road again, and
then looked back at me with a sorrowful look on his face that made his face look contorted, this is
how I knew that I wasn't going to like what he was going to say at all. He opened his mouth once,
but nothing came out. He opened it the same way again, only this time the words came spilling out
of his mouth.
"I'm sorry to say this, but mom and I talked and we decided that it would be best if you only did two

Personal Narrative-Racism
It was a scorching hot day and the wind was blowing the trees of the overgrown frost. I was at Bur
Mill Park getting ready for a tennis match. I had on a red cornerstone shirt and a tennis skirt. My
brown skin and dark– brown hair were burning in the sun. Mrs. Gulden, my tennis coach, was a
miniscule lady with short–blonde hair. Mrs. Gaulden had just called our team over to review the
line–up. As usual, I maintained my spot as the 5th seed. My team lined up and my coach called out
the line–up one by one, as we met our opponents. My opponent was rather tall and maintained a
menacing presence. She had medium sized light brown hair and peach colored skin. Although I can't
remember my opponents name, I was startled by her presence. Together, we walked over to the court
and began our warm–ups. After five minutes into our warm–up, we began the match. While we
began the match, I could feel my heart racing and my hands touching the softness of the racquet. My
feet were perfectly positioned and ready to race towards the ball. All I could feel and taste was sweat
dripping from my body. The ball was passed over, and I returned it back with ease. I had an
inalienable sense of pride and determination. Feeling confident, I won the first two games in the
match with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was large and demon like. Its wings fluttered like a helicopter that went hay–wire. I knew this was
the end, because stink bugs were my worst fear. I was able to pass back ball a few times; however,
my performance weakened. More stink bugs were coming in, and the situation was too much for me
to control. The stink bugs and I were in a full fledge war. As my performance weakened, I started
losing the games in my match. All I could smell was the aroma of dead stink bugs that I had
skillfully killed. The stink bugs were dead, but I lost the next eight games in the match. There was
about twenty or more stink bugs harmed my chances of winning the

Examples Of Being Extrovert And Qualities Of A Good Leader

  • 1. Examples Of Being Extrovert My friends in school think that I am just a normal with no life at all. However, outside of school, I have a whole different kind of personality which is being extroverted. I disagree with my friends in school that I have no life and have not many friends. In my friends' perspective, being extroverted means being very famous and is the kind of person who stands out from the rest, but for me, it just means that I can relate to other people by having a kind heart and an open mind. The word extrovert came from the Latin word "extro" meaning extra and "vertere" meaning turn. Having said this, the real meaning of the word is if the person has an attitude of being friendly, sociable, and talkative. However, people who are extroverted have a different ... However, we already doubted his capability of leading the class because of his feeling cool attitude, rude, and boastful attitude. Having officers like this would not even lead us to nothing. He was a type of person that will just pass out the fault to other people. He says that its not my fault, it's the class' fault. Obviously, this affects us because we did not do anything then he blames us. There was one time wherein almost every Chinese class, we would be noisy. When our class advisers knew about this, he would suspect the people who is very noisy all the time. However, these are the one that are noisy, even the officers are noisy. Sometimes, the officers or the leaders cannot admit that they did this because they are afraid to be impeached or such. Having said the points that my friends in school, my perspective of being extroverted is when a person has an attitude of relating into the conversations and experiences of others. This also includes having a kind heart and openness of mind. For me, I can act more freely and more independently outside of school rather than in school. Me and my teammates' bond is very strong. Often, we converse for about half an hour, talking about our experiences in school and our experiences in the past competitions. This helps us know more about each other. To make our ... • 3. Personal Narrative Essay The spring sun peeks through the trees on 89th Avenue as I trudge up the incline. School's out for the day and the library is my next stop. My thoughts are punctuated with the weight of education I carry and the students driving by at the "speed limit." But silence inevitably returns, and one can hear the solidness of my backpack and the rhythmic jingle of its zippers colliding as I progress closer to the library, bringing me closer to fulfilling my daily routine. I love my backpack. It's a dark silvery gray OGIO with five large pockets adequate for carrying numerous notebooks, binders, or anything I deem worthy of carrying. I don't recall ever having to remove something because it would render a more important item unable to fit. It's practical and simple; that's why I like it. I don't need flashy colors or designs or the latest breathability technology on my backpack. If it can carry everything soundly, I'll keep it. I place my backpack with a noticeable thud upon the wooden chair and sit down on the adjacent chair with a sigh of relief. Not many people are at the library today so open tables are available for the taking. The first item I always take out is my navy blue two–inch binder. • 7. The Best Vacation : San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico Essay A marvelous weekend in December of 2006 had gone by in San Felipe, Baja California, Mexico. San Felipe is an attractive beach town with numerous activities and breathtaking views. My family and I enjoyed juicy mangos on the sandy beach, the best fresh and crispy fish tacos under tons of surrounding palm trees, and other seafood that was recently fished out of the warm ocean. The food was great, but the activities were even better. Banana rides, parasailing, and jet skiing were among the best activities that I had ever experienced. The rocky water of the Gulf of Mexico and splashes of warm salty ocean water made the banana rides and jet skiing unforgettable. Parasailing allowed me to see a breathtaking aerial view of the deep blue ocean, and feel as if I had escaped Earth for a few minutes. It was the best. The best vacation of my life at the time was over, and it was time to sit for six hours in a van. My parents, siblings, and I were in a dark green 2000 Chevrolet Astro Minivan. My uncle and his family were in a black GMC Sierra. All the luggage was in vehicles, and we departed at 9 am. I still hate long road trips because of the hours and hours that I remain stuck in the car. After being in paradise for the weekend, I did not look forward to the long ride home. The weather at the time was blazing hot and extremely humid. The windows of the van felt as hot as melting lava. I was not able to touch the window with my finger for longer than 5 seconds. • 9. A Hero's Journey Behind A Seagull Guido was a seagull that grew up on the wrong side of the tracks in Aberdeen, Scotland. This area was not an ideal setting to raise a family of seagulls, however, his parents did the best they could with what they had. His parents were poor and had to beg to have enough food to feed their flock, but young Guido did not know any different. He always had food and shelter while his world remained small and familiar. As Guido started to mature, he met other seagulls in his neighborhood. He was so excited, as he finally had something that he could call his, and that was his friends. He became close friends with another seagull named Tony. Tony and Guido became the best of friends and could always be seen playing, walking and flying around the park. It was a friendship that would certainly last a lifetime. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He captured the store owner's attention, who immediately grabbed a broom and started swatting at Al. Guido then rushed the store and grabbed the crisp and then, he heard something go terribly wrong on his way out of the store. The store owner caused such a disturbance with his swatting, that his last swing, hit an old woman in the head. Due to the force of the broom, she screamed and fell into an entire row of candy and cookies knocking the once neat shelves, on the floor. The store owner paused to help the old woman that had just been knocked over, and Al saw his chance to head to the front of the building. Al saw Guido and the others standing outside the store with the bag of crisps. As Al finally cleared the store he met the other three, and the four proceeded straight to Luis to prove they could do it. • 11. Descriptive Essay About Lifeguards Fifteen minutes. That's the time I spend in each lifeguard stand before rotating to the next. I ascend the white, grooved ladder rungs of the stand. One, two, three, turn around, sit down. I slip off my shoes, exposing the embarrassingly obvious tan lines on my feet. With the rescue tube strap tossed over my head and arm, and the red foam tube resting across the armrests of the chair, I bring the plastic whistle to my mouth. A shrill, rolling sound is released: a signal to the eager children, stationed at the edge of the pool and giddy with anticipation, that the day has officially begun. The pool is open. The first fifteen minutes. The gruelling sun of two summers' of work has faded away the thrilling newness of climbing up that lifeguard stand. My first day on the job, I relished the climb, soaking in the responsibility and glory. Fifteen minutes flew by that day. Growing up, the lifeguards at my neighborhood pool were viewed as celebrities by the younger kids. My friends and I admired how incredibly cool and intimidating they were. Their stands were, in our young eyes, thrones. But now that I'm on the other side of it, I laugh at the thought of lifeguards being "cool" or "intimidating." I'm far from either of those things. And the stand? It's nothing special. I just do my job: I am paid to sit, perched on a wobbly plastic chair on stilts, monitoring the happenings of the pool for hours on end. Even with the umbrella fastened to the stand, the heat proves unbearable. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. August Pullman Analysis " Don't try too hard to be cool.It always shows, and that's uncool." – Amos Conti The novel Wonder teaches readers things that us humans can't imagine. Like this little boy named August Pullman in the story he is a 5th grader starting a public school. The thing is August is not an average human being. In fact he's a very special soul. August was born with mandibulofacial but he is always scared to see people for the reason that they will judge him. When he starts school people bully him because of how he looks and that makes him feel worse of himself. That reason is not right to judge. Although people change their minds about August, kids at Beecher Prep bully August because of his appearance, herd behavior, and fear. To start off, August's appearance is not like an average looking person in fact he's better. Why? You may ask, well because he is unique not the fact that he was born with facial disorder. But the fact that he is that way makes him one–hundred percent much better than anyone else. According to A Teen and A Trolley Reveal society's Dark Side says that a young girl named Tiffany went up to people and told them whether they would save 5 people and kill 1 or save 1 and kill 5. There was a catch every time she went up to a different person Tiffany would change their appearances for example if the one person that was on the right side of the track was attractive Wonder Research and the 5 people on the left track were unattractive most chose the one person that was ... • 15. Benefits Administration : Diminishing Risk And Increasing... Benefits Administration: Diminishing Risk and Increasing Value Introduction Your clients are demanding it and their employees are expecting it. Is the competition delivering it? Vendors are continuously trying to form a relationship with your organization. We're referring to benefits administration and automating antiquated paper–driven processes of managing eligibility, employee communication, enrolling employees into their healthcare options, facilitating carrier communication of elections, and managing compliance. Supply and demand for benefits administration has been fluctuating for quite some time, but there has been a recent increase in demand due to the legal ramifications of the Affordable Care Act and the compliance that has been placed upon employers as well as competition in the marketplace. Consideration to benefits administration is becoming a primary focus for organizations. When making a decision on whom to partner with, employers are looking to reduce administrative costs, empower the employee, reduce paper, find a user–friendly customizable system, meet ACA requirements, and simplify reporting. Other factors include proving the overall value to executives, understanding the implementation process, ease, and timeliness of a conversion. When it comes to offering technology and innovative services for benefits administration to clients, an agency must have focus on two particular areas: Diminishing Risk and Increasing Value With any proficient gain ... • 17. Creative Writing: The Sound Of Drilling I woke to the sound of drilling. The vibrations rattling my skull. My head was throbbing as I sat myself up, the weariness of fatigue setting in. My clothes were filthy. My pants were stained and torn as if I had been dragged along the ground. Where was I? And why did my body ache? I remembered brief flashes. Of medical tools; scalpels, needles, and the harsh smell of antiseptic. Of peeling white walls. Of a bloodied white lab coat. Then I remembered the cold. Ice freezing and scratching. Snow biting my exposed skin. I shivered. Rubbing my eyes groggily, I surveyed my surroundings. The walls were a dirty grey concrete, sealing me into a small, confined space. Before I even realised what I was doing I had gathered several tools, some fertilizer, and a smoke detector. With a small screwdriver, I unscrewed the top of the smoke detector and removed it. Using scissors I carefully cut the wires attached to the fuse and crossed them over so when power was sent through the circuit, the fuse would blow and ignite. Fertilizer was next. Leaving enough room for some oxygen, I filled the rest of the empty space with the explosive powder. I screwed the top back on very carefully, then listened for anyone nearby. I loved my life, I didn't want anything to change. Everyday was basically the same I'd wake up happy to see my friends, even if I had to go to school. But I actually like school I don't know why people wouldn't like school, it forms your future and lets you have a better, stronger life. My friends are very close to me we basically know everything about each other, which gets creepy every once and awhile but I still love them. Their all like my second family and nothing could ever get in the way of our friendship. We invented each other to everything so no one feels left out, and did ever club together, even if we didn't like it, but we still did it because we love each other. Until one day a new girl came at first nobody really noticed her. But after awhile she somehow got closer to my friends. She would sit with us at lunch, talk with us in the morning, and after awhile she was in about all the group chats, even the ones we didn't really use. I felt a little left out, I mean she was getting all this attention and all I knew about her would be her name, Anna. Everyone was paying attention to her and I just felt like a ghost on the side. The lazy routine I had adopted over several months spent frolicking in the cool blue chlorine soaked waters of my family's bungalow colony pool gave way to changes far beyond the weather and textbooks. As the surrounding foliage changed in anticipation of colder months, so did my family. I had violent, grass–stained war games with my neighborhood friends, while my mother worked in her small vegetable garden among the honeybees, and watched things grow. Looking up, the summer sky looked like an Easter egg God had dipped in blue dye. Those warm summer nights after long days of camp were greatly anticipated events back then. My cousin and I itched with repressed energy throughout the long bus ride from various tri–state area attractions. We couldn't wait to get home and see what types of shenanigans we could get into. We couldn't wait to slide down the steep, blue–carpeted staircase on our bottoms, and then on our stomachs. Most of all, we couldn't wait to go down to the basement. The basement was better than a toy store. Yes, the old–fashioned milk chute in the kitchen wall was enchanting, and the laundry chute was fun because it was big enough to throw down my sisters stuffed companions, so my cousin could catch them below in the laundry room, as our voices echoed up and down the chute. But the basement was better than all of these, better even than sliding down those stairs on rug– burned bottoms. It was always deliciously cool down ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 29. Analysis Of The Movie ' Gone Girl No One Should Criticize... Rosamund Pike said, "When the eyes are on you for the first time, you can 't believe that people aren 't criticizing you," and after her fantastic acting performance as Amy Dunne in Gone Girl no one should criticize her. Gone Girl is full of brilliant acting by many of the characters, but the actress that stood out the most to me was Rosamund Pike as Amy Dunne. The theme of the movie is that everyone has to conform to some stereotype deemed "okay" by society in order to be liked. We all have to put on a face and act to be someone we are not, and Rosamund Pike as Amy Dunne portrays this beautifully. She is always acting, acting like the cool girl, acting like the victim but underneath it she is someone very different; she is not a female stereotype deemed fit by society but a psychopath. She therefore creates a multidimensional character with many layers. The first time the audience sees Amy Dunne she is playing the ultimate cool girl. Nick introduces himself to her at a party and she creates an image of a sexy, mysterious, carefree girl. She has her hair in an effortless ponytail with stray pieces cascading down her face, which reflects her personality: laid back and sexy without trying to hard. When they first meet she is witty and casual, performing the ultimate cool girl stereotype perfectly. As Nick and Amy's relationship progresses the audience sees more and more of this; she literally embodies the perfect woman. But when she becomes her "real" self, it shows ... This unholy day signified the end of summer and the beginning of students despondency: School. I laid my right hand firmly on my chest, in efforts of stopping my alarming heart beat from waking up my cousin that was gracefully sleeping just 7 foot away. I tried in vain to imagine jubilant experiences at American Public schools, which I had obtained from books to make me feel less nervous. I held on to books by Maya Angelou, Harper Lee, and other great authors to familiarize myself with the complex American culture. I was solicitous to cultivate the idea that it was my first day of school as a senior in a whole different school, different country, different continent. As I stepped out into the cool Costa Rican air I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy the hike we would be going on. My dad said "There is a waterfall at the end of the trail, and I think we can swim in the water beneath it." None of that really excited me. I had seen quite a few waterfalls on other trips that I had been on and didn't think they were anything super special. On top of that, I could walk down to the beach and swim if I really wanted to. I would much rather go to the beach and boogie board than go see a waterfall. After a short discussion, I reluctantly got in the car. It was a long ride to the start of the trail, so I was able to get a little more sleep. For most of the ride I looked out the window at the infinite amount of trees. I don't think I had ever seen more trees in my life. They were everywhere. On both sides of the road there were tall trees with long vines hanging from them. The thing that I found more amazing was how dense the forest was. I could barely see five feet into the trees because it was so dark. The trees blocked out just about every inch of sunlight. • 52. Comparing Disney And Pixar Since this was your only feature film with Disney, how did that come about? You usually don't get to get too close to Disney and Pixar like that unless you're a celebrity or you're somebody on the inside or you know somebody. A lot of the journeyman work is done with a loop group, and they pick up different characters. Friends of mine do that, and they do great. The role came to me through my agent. It was "Project X" of course. And it was a paragraph. It was an old–time radio announcer, and I do all those from different decades. I'm a big fan of those old radio shows. So I just sent it in and forgot all about it. And a few weeks later, the agent calls, "Haaay!" That's her voice when she's happy. So they flew me up to PIXAR, and I recorded up there and did a session here at Warner Bros. with Pete Docter and the crew on the line as well. And even then, it wasn't guaranteed that I was gonna make the cut 'cause it's PIXAR. Then we found out not too long before the opening that in fact I was a big part of the beginning of the film, and I was invited to the Hollywood premiere. {laughs} "Welcome to Hollywood!" That was really cool. Jon Voight sat right behind me in the premiere of the movie, and I could hear him crying, and I was like, "This movie is making Jon Voight cry." • 56. My Favorite School Field Trip Some people wouldn't think school could be fun. All that we do is learn. All field trips we go on are just educational and boring. Well some might be, but many can be fun. You would never think somewhere you've always wanted to go to would be your next field trip. Somewhere really fun. I have thought plenty of times in the past that I didn't want to go on the trip it was boring, but I was wrong and this is why. My first favorite school memory was in eighth grade. I was in chorus and we were going on a trip to Massachusetts with the band for a competition. I was super excited and couldn't wait to sell all of my tickets. When the day finally came I was so excited. We rode in a coach bus which was really cool because I've never been in one before. When we arrived in Massachusetts we headed over to where we were having the competition. The competition was being held at a really big school. We performed and sounded really good. I was super nervous I didn't want to mess up since I had never done that before. When we were finally done the competition we got our award handed to us and our tickets to get into Six Flags. We left the school and head off on our journey to Agawam, Massachusetts where Six Flags was located. As we got closer and closer there were flags on the side of the road leading us there and my anticipation grew even stronger. I couldn't wait to get there. Once we finally arrived everyone couldn't wait to get off the bus and have some fun. I was really excited. We got off the bus and had a really long walk to get into the park. There were no close parking spaces for the bus so we had to go all the way to the back parking lot and walk up to the entrance. Once I walked into the park it was so much bigger than any I expected. All the roller coasters were huge. I didn't get to go on any because everyone would ask me to hold their stuff but a couple things I did go on were the bumper cars, a water slide, a boat ride and I played some mini games. Those were fun enough for me but if I ever go back again I am going to try the roller coasters. The water slide was really fun. All you had to do was go up a ramp inside a tube and the ramp would push you down the slide while water was being splashed at ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In front, there were several palm trees, behind an enormous pool, which glistened in the sunlight. As I glanced to my right, I noticed that there were hedges blocking a view to an outdoor area of the school. To the left was the entrance that I had come through. As I sat on the red bleachers, I thought about what I had to sit there. I was at Sacred Heart High School in Atherton, California. About a month previous to this, my dad and I had told my old water polo coach that I would be switching clubs. The change would happen in four weeks. As the days passed by, I grew more and more apprehensive. What would the new team be like? How would the coach be? Would I regret ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Nobody was expecting this to happen, especially a month and a half before the biggest national tournament. When practice ended, I slowly got changed and said goodbye to all my teammates. It was really hard to leave them, especially since I had played with some of them for almost 4 years. After I had said all of my goodbyes, I turned to my coach, whom I had known for the entire time I had played water polo, about 5 years. I took a picture with him, and started to turn away. As I was walking away, he called after me to come back. When I faced him again, he told me to remember this club, and to represent them well at my new one. I realized I had been thinking about all of this when a kid sat down behind me. Shortly after, his friends, who were talking loudly, joined him. I waited for a few minutes, and watched as more and more kids entered through the metal gates onto the beautiful pool deck. All around me were unfamiliar faces. The cool system is the basis for self–regulation and self–control. Consequently, it is a necessary tool when (not if) conflict occurs. Spontaneous Reactions Teams break down when conflict heats up; rather than triggering new creative thinking, it works instead to slow progress. Often, individuals will go back and forth, repeating the same points over and over again. Conflicts typically heat up when three conditions are present: controversial or limited data that are subject to differing interpretations, high uncertainty, and high stakes. Conversations can get especially heated when people hold different values or belief systems, or have different interests and incentives. This can make aspects of the conflict hard to discuss productively, because people often hesitate to mention the personal gain they anticipate from one of the potential decision outcomes. Management researchers who study conflict in teams have concluded that conflict is productive, as long as teams stay away from the personal and emotional aspects of conflict. Task conflict–a difference of opinion about the product design–is useful. Relationship conflict–personal friction or emotionality–is counterproductive and should be avoided. Task conflict improves the quality of decisions by engaging different points of view, while relationship conflict harms group dynamics and working relations. Have you ever gotten in those dumb situations where you look back and you just put your hand on your face, sigh, and then ask "Ugh, why did I do that?" Yeah, that was me when I was lost at Busch Wildlife. I was there, at Busch Wildlife, for Cross Country Summer Running during Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the summer of 2012 and, at the time, I was only there a couple of times and knew limited amount of people so I didn't fully know where any path would take me and ask for help. Getting lost for two and a half hours at Busch Wildlife taught me that it's good to be adventurous and take chances, to take the time to appreciate the beauty nature has to offer us, and to stay with a group even if they embarrass you. When making a decision – there is often times a fork in the road, resulting in many different choices. Before I got lost, I was actually with a group running away from the dangerous elements (not really but it was going to be very hot that day). Being ahead of the group, I got carried away and kept marching (or in this case running) forward and until maybe an eighth of a mile I didn't realize that I heard no footsteps other than mine. Worried, I looked back to realize that I was way ahead of the last person I saw, which like I said before might 've been an eighth of a mile behind me. It had survived 3 teenagers before me and they drove it all through high school and now it was my turn to drive the white rust bucket to school. My dad asked if I would need any help and me being a teenager thinking I know everything in the world said "no". I ripped the keys from my father's firm hand, his face had a smirk on his face like he knew something I didn't. I sprinted so fast I could have set a world record in the 20 yard dash, to the truck out of excitement " I'm gonna be so cool because I can drive to school unlike some kids" I thought. I ripped open the door so hard the whole truck started shaking from the shir force of my pull. "Damn I'm strong" I thought when I realized what actually happened. I looked back at the house to see if my father had seen what I did and with my luck he had been watching me the whole time he still had the damn smirk on his face. "I'm gonna have to hear a lecture later about not beating the shit out of vehicles", I climbed in the truck but it looked like a little kid trying to shove a cube into a circular hole.
