The property is located on Greek Street close to the junction with Park Row in the heart of the
financial and commercial core. Leeds city railway station and main shopping area's are within easy
walking distance of the property. Aquis House lies in one of Leeds most sought after locations with
convenient access for both business and retail areas, as well as many local and national leisure and
restaurant outlets.
Aquis House was built in the 1960's and has been recently refurbished to a high standard to create
bright and attractive office accommodation. There are nine floors within the building each extending
to approximately 2,700 ft², with part floors available from 1,250 ft.
The building benefits from two, seven–person capacity ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Looking at my comparable evidence is are a range of rents within the office buildings market in
Leeds; the cheapest being £80,000 in Albion Street and the most expensive being £577,165 in
Alredale House, also on Albion Street.
The more recent the transaction, the better indication I have to value the rent. The most recent
transaction of an office building similar to Aquis House was on 01/03/2014. Devonshire House on
Toronto Street is 0.1 miles away from Aquis House. Extensive refurbishment took place in 2009 to
create an imposing modern building. Both buildings are situated in the prime city Centre location.
The asking rent for Devonshire House is £20.00 per sq ft. The next useful comparable to help value
Aquis House is Park Row House which again is of very close proximity being at 0.02 miles away
and a similar size at 6,316 sq ft. Park Row unlike Aquis House has extra amenities such as car
parking spaces. The asking rent for Park Row House is £19.45 per sq ft. 73–75 Albion Street is also
a useful property to use as a comparable as it was built in the same time period as Aquis House and
both buildings have been refurbished to the same specification. The date of this transaction was
01/05/2013 so this gives a good indication to the value rent. The asking rent for 73–75 Albion Street
is £16 per sq ft.
With the evidence I have from my comparable buildings and recent changes in the property market.
I recommend a rent of £18 per sq ft for

Benefits Of Airline And Airport Privatization
1. Introduction
The airline industry is governed by a rapidly evolving framework of economic regulation by which
many factors, significantly continued liberalisation and open skies, have caused much turbulence
and uncertainty in this increasingly low margin market.
Although separate entities, airlines and airports are interdependent and could not operate without the
other. A major consequence of deregulation is airline concentration and strong economic drivers are
pushing towards even further concentration and consolidation (Doganis, 2006). UK airport
regulation was reformed with airport privatisation, enabling a long term focus to meet international
demand and to maintain a customer focused business plan, allowing management to monitor and
adjust costs and boost income.
The aim of this report is to examine these consequences, and the benefits of airline and airport
mergers and acquisitions, and will look specifically at the acquisition of Monarch Airlines by
Jet2.com (known as Jet2(b) later in this report). It will also look at similar acquisition benefits of
Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) by Heathrow Airport Holdings Ltd (HAH).
2. Overview of Airlines

Founded in 2003, Jet2.com Ltd is part of the Dart Group Plc and is the fourth largest leisure airline
in the UK, serving the North and is based at Leeds Bradford International Airport. Flying to over
fifty sun, sea and ski destinations across Europe and beyond, passenger numbers have rapidly

Design Educational Buildings With Enhanced Quality Of...
Integration of LEED indoor environmental quality credits into BIM software to design educational
buildings with enhanced quality of indoor environment
Introduction & Background
According to the studies of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) the level of pollutants
inside the building can be two to five times higher than the outdoor levels and these pollutants are
major cause of worry as majority of people invest their 90 percent of time in indoor activities (10).
The educational buildings are heavily occupied most of the time as they provide facilities like
classrooms, libraries, laboratories, etc. Hence, it is imperative to maintain indoor air quality of
important buildings like educational buildings considering they have such a large amount of
occupants.
The problems of indoor air quality in schools could be more serious than in other categories of
buildings, due to a higher occupant density and insufficient outside air supply (also ventilation),
worsened by often poor construction of school buildings (1). Generally a student is involved in a
classroom for about 1300 hours in one year and hence poor indoor environment of an educational
building can have a negative effect on a student (3).
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is being largely incorporated into
sustainable design and construction within the United States of America and in the various
categories of LEED there is one category which addresses to the problem of indoor air quality. The

When We Fight, We Win By Greg Jobin-Leeds
In When We Fight, We Win by Greg Jobin–Leeds it says that "comparison can block compassion
both for others and for ourselves." I agree with such statement; I think that listening is a skill you
learn throughout time. One can pretend to listen without really getting anything out of the
conversation that one is having with that other person. In the Compassionate Listening workshop, I
got to do it with Rachel Kurland and I sit and listened to her talking about the moment her friend
treason her. I tried to understand her plight, why would she not cut that friendship off, I understood
she loved her friend, however, I could not resist bringing my biases to our conversation. I asked
myself, why is Rachel, such a good, loving, and smart person, ... Show more content on

And not that it matters, but if I do want to become a journalist, don't I need to pay attention to the
many sides of the story in order to point out one universal truth? Should I not be able to apply what I
do for a living to my personal life? I have the feeling that if I do not do such thing, I would be a total
hypocrite. Throughout this fifth semester of college, I have attempted to analyze more the inner me,
the habits I have in my spirit and mind. What are the things that I would like to improve about
myself in order to one day be "fully empowered"? I add quotation marks because I really do not
know if one ever reaches such limit of whole, complete empowerment. However, I approached "The
Sociology of Empowerment" class with the mindset that I should be paying more attention to the
things I should change, I remember reading from Jobin–Leeds, "How do I identify what I don't want
to do?" And it is a quote that applies to my activist work, but also I link it to the inner me. I believe
one is never empowered if one does not work on oneself. If I do not work on myself, grow, and feel
confident then how can I empower others? Because for me, being empowered, signifies that I can
empower others as well through how I live my life. I decided to stop and survey my negative
thoughts and words. There are times wherein I cannot see the silver lining of things, it is just plainly
difficult for me to do so. Jobin–Leeds also says that thoughts, feelings, and actions

Persepolis Revolution
Affects of Revolutions
Throughout the past few centuries there have been many different revolutions that affected different
parts of Europe. Some took place a long time ago in France or in other parts of Western Europe
while others were more recent and took place in Russia and other Eastern European countries. Many
were violent and extreme while some were more peaceful but the goals were the same, to fight
against an oppressor and to stand up for what they believed in. In the book Persepolis, the main
character Marjane Satrapi (also the author) and her family are living in Iran during the times of two
great revolutions. The first revolution is to overthrow the Shah a brutal ruler who compares himself
to somewhat of a God. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The attitudes towards this revolution are very different. Everyone tries to hide things and no one
really openly demonstrates against the government. Marjane's family is against the Islamic Republic
but they oppose it in secret and continue to break the laws by drinking illegal alcohol and throwing
parties. They don't go out into the streets and protest or even discuss the government in public
though. Everything they do is behind closed doors. There are a few key differences in how Marjane
and her family act during each of the revolutions. During the first, they are very vocal and excited
about protesting and demonstrating against the Shah. But during the second revolution, her family is
not vocal in public about how they feel at all. Everything is kept to themselves and with close
friends. Secretly they don't support the government but because of what can happen to them or their
family members.
People are more scared during this revolution than the other. They have heard of what happens and
that you most likely die if you are taken away. Marjane's family now doesn't try to act like heroes;
they just go along with what they are supposed to do but secretly hating it. They act completely
different from how they acted during the first revolution in which they are demonstrating in the
streets.
Every revolution to ever occur throughout history is in some way

Gerard Leeds (Greg's father) was an entrepreneur and philanthropist. Born in Hamburg, he fled Nazi
Germany ahead of the Holocaust, arriving in the United States in the late 1930s with almost no
money. In 1971, he and Lilo Leeds launched CMP Media Inc., which rose to become a leading
publisher of business newspapers, magazines and Internet services for high–tech industries. After
selling the company for $920 million in 1999, he embarked on a second career as a philanthropist.
Gerard and Lilo founded the Alliance for Excellent Education in 1999 and the Institute for Student

Using Volunteer Sampling From Within Leeds Sixth Form College
METHOD
SAMPLING
To collect a large sample I used volunteer sampling from within Newcastle Sixth Form College.
Participant forms were handed out to every tutorial class (equivalent to registration) within the
college to make sure that every student is presented with the opportunity to take part in the study.
This allowed me to have a population of over 500 students to sample from. Once the volunteers had
submitted their interest, I planned to then try to make the sample more representative of the national
population. However, this was unfortunately not possible for two reasons. The first is that the
sample would consist almost entirely of students aged between 15 and 20. Secondly, the final
sample size was too small to try and make it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A repeated measures design was not possible as randomly assigning different bands each session
would have created random and most likely insignificant results. Although I did not intend to use a
matched pair design, the fact that the participants are very similar reduces the extraneous variables
to less than that of a normal independent measures experiment.
PROCEDURE
The procedure for the BEM was standardised to ensure that extraneous variables (experimenter
variables) would not impact on the reliability of the results. The standardised experiment included
how to set the environment, how to prescribe bands to each participant, as well as all other factors
involved in the experiment.
The participants were first asked to complete a questionnaire before their first session about how
they had been feeling and if any external factors may have been affecting them. They would then be
asked to complete a consent form so that the auditory prescriptions could begin. The participant
would be asked to sit on any chair in a room which only contained five chairs in a quincunx pattern.
Once the participant was seated, I would assist with and confirm the blindfold was working. At this
point, they would be told to "please relax, and give me a sign if you feel uncomfortable. I'll be in the
room while the sound is playing, and if you hear any

Leed and the Impact on the Building Industry Essay
Services Marketing–MK 4800 Summer Semester 2011 May 27,2011 According to a "go green" blog

$800 billion is the amount of renovation and new construction in the United States, buildings
account for 1/6 of the worlds freshwater withdrawals, ¼ of its wood harvest and 2/5 of its material

However, it is not an easy task to become LEED Certified and accredited, people are accredited
while buildings are certified (U.S. Green Building Council). In the next section, I will go into detail
regarding the important rating system and what impacts the rating system has on LEED. The LEED
Rating System The USGBC established The Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) in order
to provide a series of exams to allow individuals to become accredited for their knowledge of the
LEED rating system. This is recognized through either the LEED Accredited Professional (LEED
AP) or LEED Green Associate (LEED Green Assoc.) alias. GBCI also provides third–party
certification for projects pursuing LEED certification. The main distinction between these three
levels is that LEED AP is a higher form of LEED Green Assoc for people being accredited, while
third–party certification is for buildings to be certified (U.S. Green Building Council). For every
building type, there is a Rating System and a comparative Reference Guide. Within the individual
LEED Rating Systems there are Categories. Within these Categories are prerequisites and credits.
Prerequisites are required of all LEED projects, and credits are points that are

LEED: The Future Of The Construction Industry
The future of the construction industry is dependent upon the ability to transform the practices of
successful businesses into leadership programs that are able to successfully complete LEED
construction projects. The ability to complete these projects at a high level of expertise will help
utilize green practices in the industry to reduce building emissions and the buildings carbon
footprint on the planet. . LEED projects are defined by sustainability. The definition of sustainability
is providing for the needs of the current generation without compromising the ability of future

These benefits can be accomplished for a minimum cost of around 3% of the construction price.
LEED buildings achieve higher occupancy rates and lower capitalization rates potentially reflecting
lower investment risk. These buildings use resources more efficiently compared to conventional
buildings simply built to code. The buildings produce a healthier work and living environments
which generally contribute to higher productivity and improved employee health and comfort which
in turn is more profits for the business occupying the building. When a LEED rating is pursued, the
costs of construction and design rises. There are many points in the construction process that will
need additional time for research, design and education is a process of undertaking a LEED project,
these additional costs can be effectively mitigated by the savings in time due to the lower – than –
industry standard operating costs. LEED projects have specific documentation requirements such as:

LEED Certification, which stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is both a
professional certification in sustainable building practices, and a grading scale on a structure's
environmental impact and sustainability (USGBC, 2008). A LEED certified professional is
recognized as having completed the required course of curriculum in LEED and has successfully
passed the LEED Certification exam. This allows a LEED certified professional to be able to work

It proves to many people that you have achieved your environmental goals. Having a LEED
Certification means that you have many government incentives, marketing benefits, and increased
property values, which can help, boost the presses interest in your current project. Building green
can also greatly reduce the cost to construction managers and tenants (USGBC, 2008). There are
four different levels of certification that you can achieve. These are: Certified, Silver, Gold, and
Platinum. Each level has its own special incentives to it. To gain a higher ranking you must
accumulate credits. To accumulate credits you must have certain standards in your projects that
benefit the environment. These consist of sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere,
materials and resources, and indoor environmental quality (GBCI, 2008). Green Buildings can help
the earth in so many ways. Being certified means that you build more environmentally friendly,
which means that building green friendly can reduce the negative effect buildings and operations
have on the environment. Also green building greatly decreases the chances of fire, explosions,
spills or splashes. Building green also reduces health problems such as allergies. Finally, if you're
building green it calls for green cleaning. This means that the products used in cleaning these green
buildings are also very environmentally safe. For example

As one of the most prevailing Green building certification program, LEED was a way to encourage
architects and investors to the adoption of sustainable building practices. Researches have been done
on the LEED certification and other Green building certification's price premium, cost–
effectiveness, and environmental policies implications. The environmental regulatory policy has
been a strong tool to promote LEED in the publicly owned buildings in the states with high

The higher concentration of environmentalists and the more household income result in even lower
LEED commercial office buildings per capita. For the average household income, the state–specific
features may reduce and bias the value of the estimation. This is a common disadvantage of cross–
sectional data, which sometimes do not provide definite information about cause–and–effect
relationships. The data only studies a single moment in time, but do not consider what happens
before or after. For the future research, I'll try to collect time–series data of socioeconomic
attributes, and the variation in LEED certification adoption rates over the years. For the green
organization memberships, the members' information are confidential, so the memberships are
counted repeatedly and Wikle was very likely overestimated LQ value of each state, and the
negative effect of LQ may be over calculated. Additionally, the LQ value is collected two decades
ago, and as the membership information is often confidential, there are no up–to–date data available
to measure the environmental awareness at each state. I would suggest contacting the environmental
organizations to get access for to the membership database, if anyone is interested in getting an
accurate estimate for environmental knowledge of this

in an environment with lush green landscapes that encompass one of the most eco–friendly cities in

have needed to create practices and products to relive some of that pressure. Not only has "going

As coordinator of sustainability, he has first hand experience and knowledge about the way LEED
buildings have impacted himself, and others in their careers. He writes, "Green building has also
become a whole new industry with lots of jobs attached to it. There is a "third party" that has to
come out and certify buildings. Lots of jobs there. And there are also consultants that get hired to
help navigate the process. That's something that we do. So lots of new types of work for people are
being created, part of the green collar economy, which is super cool. I'd much rather see people go
into this type of business than a lot of other stuff. This is the direction we need to be moving our
society!" After reading that comment, my mind instantly navigated to current news about President
Donald Trump. Trump signed a long–promised executive order in March to nullify President Barack
Obama's climate change efforts and revive the coal industry, effectively ceding American leadership
in the international campaign to curb the dangerous heating of the planet. At a ceremony, Mr. Trump
directed the Environmental Protection Agency to start the complex and lengthy legal process of
withdrawing and rewriting the Obama–era Clean Power Plan, which would have closed hundreds of
coal–fired power plants and replaced them with vast new wind and solar farms (Rubin). After

Ashdown; however a large amount of effort and resources will be used creating a small, elite studio

This would make competitive pricing very hard especially for a new business; however the distance
to Leeds from Harrogate, with train ticket prices makes up the total cost of a single band practice at
least 15–£20 per person. With the high socio economic group of Harrogate citizens, we as business
can charge a similar price but locally to secure as much revenue as possible.
In this screen shot you can see that there is only one other studio space in Harrogate, and after
looking at the website, all I can tell is that they are a recording studio in Harrogate, they say nothing
about pricing, availability or much else. This would imply they don't get much business as they
aren't trying very hard to advertise. Though this could imply that the lack of effort is due to a lack of
interest, I believe there is definitely enough demand in the Harrogate area, and it only leaves more
room in the Harrogate market for my business to occupy.
I think that this business will require a location that is enough distance from the city centre so not to
disturb other businesses and flats, as when bands are playing music, maybe more than one at a time,
a substantial amount of noise pollution will be created. However it does need to be close enough that
it is easily accessible and can be seen by the general public easily. So perhaps somewhere on the

Sir Alex Ferguson is a retired player and coach in football. He was born in 1941 in Glasgow,

Architects and customers can communicate over the internet too. Just 15 years ago, to look at design
changes, the customer and architect would have to meet face to face. This alone can set the project
behind because often the customers do not have time to fit in a meeting in the same day. Today,
when there is a design change, architects can email pictures within seconds. Not only can they share
images, but they can communicate without being in the same place. This benefits architecture in
many ways. One of these is architects can get back to designing to finish the design with the new
changes that they talked about five minutes ago. Not only can the architect send the design to the

of efficiency including silver, gold, and platinum. The way to achieve higher levels is to get more
LEED points in certain categories such as how much energy the building used in a month. After
adding these points together, the architect then checks the charts to see what level the house is in.
These levels can be great selling points when selling to a customer that is interested in helping the

being LEED certified can be a great advantage when a customer is deciding what architect that they

Matt Leeds Matt Leeds has been working as an associate consultant in Danner Boynton for (4)
months. He has a bad relationship with his boss, Dan Lyle and with a colleague, Eleanor Swift. His
performance review was not good and since the first day his boss expressed disliking Harvard

graduation. In Right–Away, he had done an internship doing consulting work and was respected and
valued by the President Scott Kingston. Leeds felt that taking a position in the consulting firm

They seemed a lot more interested in his background than his boss and peer and also informed him
about a change in recruitment practices where all new hires for entry level positions were now
MBAs from top schools. As a result MBAs were dominating the company, which was a possible
cause of Lyle 's and Swift 's dislike of MBAs. The couple of times Leeds went to ask his boss some
questions about what he had read about FashionMart he was told to come back later. He asked Swift
and she answered in her condescending style. Swift would give trivial tasks to Leeds which he did
not question since he did not want to be perceived as aggressive. By his third week, Swift scheduled
meetings with Engagement Managers who had run projects similar to the components of the project;
order quantities, pricing, markdowns and location optimization. Leeds was in the meetings but did
not participate much because he was overwhelmed by the information and felt he should be in
learner mode as Swift had suggested. He also felt like nobody asked for his opinion and began to
feel uncomfortable. Leeds had a conversation with Brenner, the consultant who interviewed him and
she told him making good presentations, having all facts and figures prepared was important along
with being enthusiastic, ambitious, creative, and analytical. Leeds was asked to analyze FashionMart

From: David H Rhodes, Keeble Park North, Bishopthorpe, York. THE school examination results
have been announced and no doubt many students are rejoicing in what they have attained through
very hard work. Congratulations to them.
This does, however, bring an air of confusion as to the genuine merit and value of the grades
attained.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that 50 years ago only a percentage of examinees were
passed in each grade, A, B, etc. If so, it would have had the benefit of stricter marking and no added
points for crude expressions.

Sad indictment of council's culture policy
From: Alice Sheepshanks, Arthington, near Leeds.
AS the air reverberates with the sound of rock from the Leeds Festival, at Bramham, I sorely lament
the lack of some culture and hope most sincerely that next year it will be possible for Leeds City
Council to support the Leeds Shakespeare Festival again.
It is so important to cater for all tastes, and not just to bow to the lowest common denominator. I
believe wholeheartedly that Shakespeare can be appreciated by all ages and classes, particularly if
performed by this most skilful and dedicated troupe, the British Shakespeare Company.
I have taken my two children (now aged 12 and 14) to the performances at Kirkstall Abbey since
they were quite small. They adored the spectacle, the language, the plot – it was a marvellous
opportunity for them.
I feel desperately sad that this year they can wander about at Bramham and listen to the thundering
sound of Metallica and Tenacious D (which they love) but The Tempest or A Midsummer Night's
Dream are out of the question.
What a sad indictment on Leeds City Council.

How Is Alex Ferguson My Autobiography
'Alex Ferguson My Autobiography' talks about the hardships Alex Ferguson had to face starting
from his childhood all the way to the end of his days as a manager. By conducting an assessment of
the book from a psychologist's perspective one realizes how strong willed Ferguson is and how he
has surmounted one challenge after another in order to get to the position he is in today. Alex
Ferguson was born in Glasgow, Scotland to parents of Scottish decent. As a boy Alex love playing
football and went on to play the role of striker for local club Queen's Park while simultaneously
running a bar. He made his name as a manager when he guided Scottish side Aberdeen FC to

Every year, when a season was half way through, Sir Alex would convince the media that
Manchester United would do better in the second half of the season. These words not only
convinced the media but also convinced the players at the club. It gave a huge boost in form to the

Perhaps the most famous of all his mind games was his 'Watch tapping' technique. He used this

feeling of fear in the opposing team and hence there would be a loss in form. It also improved the
overall playing style of his squad. This technique worked more often than

Adoption of Leed as a Green Building Rating System in Nigeria
ARC 879: PROJECT FEASIBILITY STUDIES 2012 Adoption of LEED® as a Green Building
Rating System in Nigeria Going Green In Nigeria OMOEFE AGHIMIEN 119051038 ABSTRACT
Green building rating systems are in a state of constant flux and often differ from region to region.
Regardless, fundamental principles persist from which the rating system is derived. These include
sustainable sites and structure design efficiency, water efficiency, energy efficiency, materials
efficiency, indoor environmental quality, operations and maintenance optimization, innovation and
design process, waste and toxic reduction etc. The essence of green building is an optimization of
one or more of these principles. The green building rating system, LEED® ... Show more content on

* Reduced air and water pollution (with direct health benefits) * Reduced water consumption *
Limited waste generation due to recycling and reuse * Reduced pollution loads * Increased user

traced to the energy (especially fossil oil) crisis and the environment pollution concern in the 1970s.
The green building movement originated from the need and desire for more energy efficient and
environmentally friendly construction practices. There are a number of motives to building green,
including environmental, economic, and social benefits. However, modern sustainability initiatives
call for an integrated and synergistic design to both new construction and in the retrofitting of an
existing structure. Also known as sustainable design, this approach integrates the building life–cycle
with each green practice employed with a design–purpose to create a synergy amongst the practices
used. Green building brings together a vast array of practices and techniques to reduce and
ultimately eliminate the impacts of buildings on the environment and human health. It often
emphasizes taking advantage of renewable resources, e.g., using sunlight through passive solar,
active solar, and photovoltaic techniques and using plants and trees through green roofs, rain
gardens, and for reduction of rainwater run–off. Many

Cost Reduction And Revenue Growth
4.4 Operational Considerations
Ideally, Jet2(b) will undertake a strategic combination of cost reduction and revenue growth,
however the former is easier and quicker to implement in the short–term.
Jet2 and Monarch employs 5,200 (About Us, 2016) and 3,000 (Corporate – Facts & Figures, 2016)
staff respectively. With a high ratio of employee costs to total costs, combining this workforce will
cause thousands of job losses, triggering immediate cost benefits. Jet2(b) will develop a common set
of terms of employment and determine redundancy packages which overall will create staff morale
issues.
Monarch's Luton headquarters will be shut down, and all administrational functions will be
transferred to Jet2's headquarters in Leeds.
Staff training costs will increase significantly as Jet2(b) will look to Jet2–ify Monarch or new staff
under Jet2's existing successful "Take Me There" training programme. According to Amiot et al,
employees who are actively involved during times of organisational change experience higher job
satisfaction and lower psychosomatic health complaints (Amiot et al, 2006). As a Commitment
Organisation, Jet2 management already consults employees regularly and allows increased
discretion within their individual roles. It also recognises employee happiness as a key component in
customer happiness, so will make boosting staff morale a priority too. All Jet2(b) staff, including
crew and ground staff, will adopt the old Jet2 uniform. The Monarch website will be

Reflection Essay : Respect For Race And Diversity
Respect for Race and Diversity
Respect for me is about showing true due regard for someone's feelings, emotions and rights.
Respect is a key attribute that I have gained over the last decade of my life both in and around
education.
Whilst studying Law at Leeds Beckett University I was set various group tasks, one of the first
activities set was a group presentation. The group consisted of 5 people and one of which did not
understand nor speak very good English. After a couple of days' worth of preparation, the group
became frustrated with this one individual, due to his lack of progression, I understood this was not
entirely his fault. The group wanted to exclude him from the rest of the group because they felt he
would bring their final overall grade down, however, I felt this was wrong of them. To help the
project progress I held one to one sessions with him in the library, I explained the project thoroughly
so he would understand what was needed of him and finally both he and I would go through practice
runs of the presentation. I then spoke to the rest of the group and urged them to communicate with
him more rather than exclude him from the presentation. This then led the group to achieve the
highest grade possible for our presentation, a 1:1.
Whilst working at Leeds Vue Cinema I was appointed a training buddy, this involved training new
staff to their new appointed roles. On some occasions Vue Cinema recruited staff that did not speak
nor understand very good English. Training was more difficult in these situations, however, I
understood my colleagues' situation and trained them accordingly. I went over areas repetitively to
ensure my colleagues understood what they were expected to do, I spoke slower and in a softer tone
to ensure they could easily understand what I am saying , and urged the experienced staff to
communicate to the new staff more and make them feel welcomed and valued to the company.
I am aware of other people's religious beliefs and faiths and wholly respect their cultures. As a
Muslim I am aware of religious events such as Ramadan. Therefore, whilst working at Vue Cinema
I respect fellow Muslims, so to avoid disrespect I do not offer food or drink during this religious
month.

Manhunt Analysis : Manhunt The Game
Manhunt fascinates me, I find everything about it intriguing. It has so enraptured me, I simply can't
stop thinking about it whether I'm at home, at school, or at the mall. That makes me sound like some
kind of homicidal sadist, and I am fascinated by it for precisely that reason. Before I say anything
more incriminating, I should mention that I love Manhunt the cultural experiment and not Manhunt
the videogame, because the former has fared much better over time than the latter.
Manhunt the game is a clunky, awkward mix of pseudo–horror and stealth with repetitive mechanics
and little player freedom. There aren't any side activities or breaks in the monotony, and gameplay
doesn't progress or evolve so much as it drags on. I didn't have fun with Manhunt, both when I first
bought it and when I replayed some of the game to gather footage, it's simply not something I find
engaging. Manhunt the game is mediocre, not broken, not unplayable, just antiquated. For what it is,
it's okay, passable, adequate–but if it wasn't so violent, so unrepentantly vicious it would not be
notable and that makes it all the more impressive that it is still worth talking about.
Granted, those conversations are usually about the controversy it created, but that's a discussion that
happens with nearly all of Rockstar's titles. Outside of the gaming sub–culture, Rockstar North gets
more flak than any other developer I know of. Normally, it has to do with Grand Theft Auto–mainly
because that's

Modern Practice Related to Human Resources Management in...
1) What "modern" practice related to human resources management do you observe in the
management principles of Laidlaw Leeds?
With the increasing of number of customers, Robert Laidlaw changed his organizational structure in
to departments. In addition, add each process in to each department. Product department such as
clothing, hardware, leather goods and administrative department such as correspondence, dispatch,
office. So dividing each task in to various departments then we can save time and can keep accuracy
of whole organization. Because it is very easy that handles a small group rather than whole
organization. Apart from that, Robert Laidlaw carefully supervised and monitored each department.

3) What is the relationship between Laidlaw's approach to marketing and his approach to staff
management?
Laidlaw's approaches to marketing were the great. Before he started his business, he was taken the
underlining business concept like direct approach. There was no middle man distribution to the
customer. Because he knew that advantage of direct marketing as well can catch the customer needs
and wants well when he starts the business in this way. Always Laidlaw gave his full attention for
each customer and try to provide better satisfaction to his customers as they need. Apart from that,
Laidlaw believed that business was always balanced on the strong Christian beliefs. He started the
company magazine of optimist and transmitted his philosophy of business and life through
magazines. Even there, he wrote some articles which were based on Christian beliefs.
On the other hand, Laidlaw managed and guided his staff in well manner. Always he made happy of
their employees with arranged some trips. Not only that, he looked his company employees as he
had enough time. In every time he encouraged his employees with having one mission and one
vision. He always looked each personal need of employees. He is best teacher rather than manager
and he tutored his young charges earnestly. Laidlaw believed the unitary theory of management "the

After being established in the 1930's, St George's crypt in Leeds managed to provide a slow and
steady yet effective development of the homeless system. It is a now a well known Christian charity,
providing care and support to the vulnerable. This organisation teaches the love and ministry in a
very practical way, enabling clients to make the correct and positive decisions throughout their
lifetime.
From looking at this contextually, we are able to look at this charity in relation to the ideas of
liberation theology. This concept became very popular throughout history, giving a main focus to the
actions of Christians in a community to those who are treated wrongly, not however, by a fault of

The network involved with the Crypt has an obvious deep rooted faith, believing in a more practical
route of theology, this would bring in the ideas of Green he states that "faith without good deeds is
useless", it is these good deeds that should inspire our life's actions. From this, the theological theme
of the church begins to arise, it is clear that in today's secular society, we should begin to interpret
the world using all of the sacramental and biblical insights that the church has provided. Throughout
history, the notion of the church has been passed down from the New Testament to be first and
foremost, a loving community, as the church is called to be a disciple of Christ. Within the bible it
becomes clear, especially from the accounts of the Gospels that Jesus supports individuals usually
pushed out of society. In the Gospel of Mark it says that "for even the Son of Man came not to be
served, but to serve" the Church should follow Christ in this respect, serving to build the community
eventually working towards the creation of the Kingdom of God. St Georges Crypt manages to
achieve and present the notions of a church community. When visiting the centre I felt amazed at the
family like atmosphere, it demonstrates a real sense of community. The crypt allows homeless and
vulnerable adults to hear and preach the stories of Christ, something they would not have the
opportunity to do while on the streets. They do this through charitable giving, mission trips

The Leeds Murderer Case
The Case Leanne Tiernan was born in September of 1984 and was the younger of two girls.
Although her parents had separated, she had a close family and was a happy and content child. In
2000, Leanne lived with her mother and sister in the Bramley district in west Leeds, West Yorkshire,
England. Bramley is an area that's mainly residential, one with lots of history, local culture, and a

school, and then joined her grandmother in the church. That day, Leanne and her fifteen year–old
friend Sarah Whitehouse had decided to take a trip to Leeds city centre to do some early Christmas
shopping. Leanne was last seen when she parted ways with Sarah when she set off along an unlit
path through an area of wooded wasteland known as Houghley Gill. Sharon, Leanne's mother, tried
calling her at 5:20p.m., but there was no answer. At 7p.m., Sharon called the police and filed a

How People Leed To Make Better Choices
When you look for answers and seek for help then you can make better choices seeking multiple
opinions makes better choices. Like leed to making better choices, give someone life, and giving

receive people giving you more choices. You would want to ask other people or ask for opinions
from people. You may want to go to someone and ask then go somewhere different and ask for
another opinion to receive their opinion as well. If you ask a lot of people then you may save time
trying to pick yourself go to someone that has received the knowledge and that knows more than
you do. Don't be selfish and do it all yourself you can ask for help and people will help. Second, let
people help you and help you leed to making better choices. Like your friends make good on your

Analysis of Alternatives
1. Investing the savings at guaranteed annual interest rates with the bank:
Hugh is at an age where borrowing debt for investing into a business that offers no guarantee of
profits is probably not a good idea. He can invest his savings with the bank at guaranteed annual
interest rates that will provide him with a secure income combined with his pension. The Leeds
Livery operates in a competitive and unstable industry and it has failed to fain attractive profits in
the recent past years. There is a lot of work required to increase the profitability of the business
which might give Hugh a hard time especially when he is borrowing money to invest in the
business.
Following are the pros and cons of this alternative:
Pros
Cons
Close to no risk of investment loss
There will be no magnified profits with the savings account
Earnings from investment together with Hugh's pension will provide him a secure income
Hugh's desire to manage a business will be unmet

Financial exclusion in two speed Leeds
Executive Report
Research into Financial Exclusion in Leeds and a study of alternative community based credit and
savings systems, undertaken by Community Finance Solutions at Salford University on behalf of
Leeds City Council.
Financial Exclusion Report for Leeds City Council 2004
Foreword
Leeds is a prosperous city. It is not only prosperous in its own right but acts as a generator for
wealth, which goes well beyond its immediate boundaries. Leeds image as a prosperous city is well
documented and commentators from around the country pay tribute to the success Leeds has
enjoyed in recent decades. However, increasingly over the years, Leeds has become recognised as a
two–speed city. Much ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
high street banks and building societies). Consequently the financially excluded rely on range of
informal solutions and 'sub–prime' providers. This has three negative effects: 1. Inability to access
many services that now operate entirely beyond a cash based economy. 2. The banking sector is
highly regulated with extensive consumer safeguards. Unfortunately similar protection is not always
available when using subprime providers. 3. Most perniciously, the cost of credit varies enormously
with APR rates from around 14% for a bank loan, to upwards of 177% for a small cash loan from a
doorstep lender. It reduces families' disposable income, which in turn reduces their children's life
chances, and thus cuts the amount spent with local shops and businesses. In addition to undermining
existing micro–entrepreneurs, the lost money reduces the capacity of potential entrepreneurs to start
businesses. This latent entrepreneurship is highlighted in the report, with 20% of those surveyed in
deprived communities interested in affordable loans for business start–ups.
What is the nature of financial exclusion in Leeds?
To assess the extent of financial exclusion in Leeds a survey of 410 households in the most
disadvantaged parts of the city was undertaken. The results indicated that those with lower incomes
were most likely to be financially excluded, in particular, lone parents, families with children,

LEED Site Assessment Essay
LEED evaluates this under site assessment report on credentials such as Solar exposure, heat island
effect potential, and seasonal sun angles, prevailing winds, monthly precipitation and temperature
ranges.
This part requires stating the average annual and monthly precipitation, humidity, and temperature
of the site. Also involves provisions to identify onsite conditions of the site that could potentially
provide opportunities for renewable energy strategies such as wind, solar, and geothermal. Sites that
are designed to thrive within their natural climatic conditions require fewer resources to sustain as
they are tailored for those weather conditions. Othe climatic aspects like rainfall and temperatures
affect design issues such as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Human Use –
LEED rates this factor based on adjacent transportation infrastructure, adjacent properties, existing
recycle/reuse of potential construction materials.
Reusing and recycling materials reduce the use of natural resources, which further protects habitat
destruction, reduces waste generation and pollution. Existing public infrastructure can influence the
site selection for buildings and hence the current LEED site assessment process involves reporting
of the neighboring buildings and facilities. LEED also accounts for the energy used in commuting to
and from the building site and hence has provisions to report proximity to any kind of transportation
infrastructure in site assessment.
Human Health Impacts –
As stated earlier LEED acknowledges the construction of a building at a site and all its impacts on
the existing ecosystem. It evaluates the proximity of vulnerable populations, adjacent physical
activity opportunities and proximity to large sources of air pollution. The construction of a building
may lead to an addition of several unwanted and harmful emissions into the ecosystem. Hence
building use is defined and all possible effects on local population are determined to avoid any
unpredicted future damage to health and lifestyle of the present population at the site.
Efficacy of Site Assessment
Site assessment is a fundamental part of site sustainability credit of the rating system. Although site

Identifying Opportunities From The Leeds School Of Business
Identifying opportunities available to you
I am planning on pursuing a minor in Business from the Leeds school of business. This minor is
attractive to me because companies want engineers with an understanding of how they fit into the
company as a whole, and a minor in business can help with this. In addition to this, the business
minor takes the rigorous engineering courses that engineers must take into account, and, as a result,
they have distilled the entire minor down to just 4 courses and 12 credit hours. The accessibility of
the business minor makes it a popular choice for people from all different majors. The first courses
are titled Marketing and Management and Finance and Accounting. Next, the student must choose a
track from the following options: Innovation, Analytics, Entrepreneurship, and Global. Of these
courses, I would be most likely to choose Entrepreneurship, as I like the idea of developing business
ventures and taking risks. Finally, the student takes the Capstone course called Business Plan
Development. This course is distinctive in that entire curriculum entails splitting up into smaller
groups and developing a personalized, complete business plan for your own unique business. Each
team is able to use the professor as a resource, and the business school also hires local entrepreneurs
as coaches to help the teams along their journey. Each of the teams that wins their section moves on
to a next level of competition where they present in front of

Devonshire House on Toronto Street is 0.1 miles away from Aquis House. Extensive refurbishment took place in 2009 to create an imposing modern building. Both buildings are situated in the prime city Centre location. The asking rent for Devonshire House is £20.00 per sq ft. The next useful comparable to help value Aquis House is Park Row House which again is of very close proximity being at 0.02 miles away and a similar size at 6,316 sq ft. Park Row unlike Aquis House has extra amenities such as car parking spaces. The asking rent for Park Row House is £19.45 per sq ft. 73–75 Albion Street is also a useful property to use as a comparable as it was built in the same time period as Aquis House and both buildings have been refurbished to the same specification. The date of this transaction was 01/05/2013 so this gives a good indication to the value rent. The asking rent for 73–75 Albion Street is £16 per sq ft. With the evidence I have from my comparable buildings and recent changes in the property market. I recommend a rent of £18 per sq ft for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Benefits Of Airline And Airport Privatization 1. Introduction The airline industry is governed by a rapidly evolving framework of economic regulation by which many factors, significantly continued liberalisation and open skies, have caused much turbulence and uncertainty in this increasingly low margin market. Although separate entities, airlines and airports are interdependent and could not operate without the other. A major consequence of deregulation is airline concentration and strong economic drivers are pushing towards even further concentration and consolidation (Doganis, 2006). UK airport regulation was reformed with airport privatisation, enabling a long term focus to meet international demand and to maintain a customer focused business plan, allowing management to monitor and adjust costs and boost income. The aim of this report is to examine these consequences, and the benefits of airline and airport mergers and acquisitions, and will look specifically at the acquisition of Monarch Airlines by Jet2.com (known as Jet2(b) later in this report). It will also look at similar acquisition benefits of Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA) by Heathrow Airport Holdings Ltd (HAH). 2. Overview of Airlines 2.1 Jet2.com Founded in 2003, Jet2.com Ltd is part of the Dart Group Plc and is the fourth largest leisure airline in the UK, serving the North and is based at Leeds Bradford International Airport. • 13. Design Educational Buildings With Enhanced Quality Of... Integration of LEED indoor environmental quality credits into BIM software to design educational buildings with enhanced quality of indoor environment Introduction & Background According to the studies of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) the level of pollutants inside the building can be two to five times higher than the outdoor levels and these pollutants are major cause of worry as majority of people invest their 90 percent of time in indoor activities (10). The educational buildings are heavily occupied most of the time as they provide facilities like classrooms, libraries, laboratories, etc. Hence, it is imperative to maintain indoor air quality of important buildings like educational buildings considering they have such a large amount of occupants. The problems of indoor air quality in schools could be more serious than in other categories of buildings, due to a higher occupant density and insufficient outside air supply (also ventilation), worsened by often poor construction of school buildings (1). Generally a student is involved in a classroom for about 1300 hours in one year and hence poor indoor environment of an educational building can have a negative effect on a student (3). LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is being largely incorporated into sustainable design and construction within the United States of America and in the various categories of LEED there is one category which addresses to the problem of indoor air quality. I agree with such statement; I think that listening is a skill you learn throughout time. One can pretend to listen without really getting anything out of the conversation that one is having with that other person. In the Compassionate Listening workshop, I got to do it with Rachel Kurland and I sit and listened to her talking about the moment her friend treason her. I tried to understand her plight, why would she not cut that friendship off, I understood she loved her friend, however, I could not resist bringing my biases to our conversation. Should I not be able to apply what I do for a living to my personal life? I have the feeling that if I do not do such thing, I would be a total hypocrite. Throughout this fifth semester of college, I have attempted to analyze more the inner me, the habits I have in my spirit and mind. What are the things that I would like to improve about myself in order to one day be "fully empowered"? I add quotation marks because I really do not know if one ever reaches such limit of whole, complete empowerment. However, I approached "The Sociology of Empowerment" class with the mindset that I should be paying more attention to the things I should change, I remember reading from Jobin–Leeds, "How do I identify what I don't want to do?" And it is a quote that applies to my activist work, but also I link it to the inner me. I believe one is never empowered if one does not work on oneself. If I do not work on myself, grow, and feel confident then how can I empower others? Because for me, being empowered, signifies that I can empower others as well through how I live my life. I decided to stop and survey my negative thoughts and words. There are times wherein I cannot see the silver lining of things, it is just plainly difficult for me to do so. Some took place a long time ago in France or in other parts of Western Europe while others were more recent and took place in Russia and other Eastern European countries. Many were violent and extreme while some were more peaceful but the goals were the same, to fight against an oppressor and to stand up for what they believed in. There are a few key differences in how Marjane and her family act during each of the revolutions. During the first, they are very vocal and excited about protesting and demonstrating against the Shah. But during the second revolution, her family is not vocal in public about how they feel at all. Everything is kept to themselves and with close friends. Secretly they don't support the government but because of what can happen to them or their family members. Participant forms were handed out to every tutorial class (equivalent to registration) within the college to make sure that every student is presented with the opportunity to take part in the study. This allowed me to have a population of over 500 students to sample from. Once the volunteers had submitted their interest, I planned to then try to make the sample more representative of the national population. PROCEDURE The procedure for the BEM was standardised to ensure that extraneous variables (experimenter variables) would not impact on the reliability of the results. The standardised experiment included how to set the environment, how to prescribe bands to each participant, as well as all other factors involved in the experiment. The participants were first asked to complete a questionnaire before their first session about how they had been feeling and if any external factors may have been affecting them. In the next section, I will go into detail regarding the important rating system and what impacts the rating system has on LEED. The LEED Rating System The USGBC established The Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) in order to provide a series of exams to allow individuals to become accredited for their knowledge of the LEED rating system. This is recognized through either the LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) or LEED Green Associate (LEED Green Assoc.) alias. GBCI also provides third–party certification for projects pursuing LEED certification. The main distinction between these three levels is that LEED AP is a higher form of LEED Green Assoc for people being accredited, while third–party certification is for buildings to be certified (U.S. Green Building Council). For every building type, there is a Rating System and a comparative Reference Guide. Within the individual LEED Rating Systems there are Categories. Past, Present and Future for Education System Past, present and future for education system Sponsored by Published on undefined NaN undefined NaN NaN:NaN From: David H Rhodes, Keeble Park North, Bishopthorpe, York. THE school examination results have been announced and no doubt many students are rejoicing in what they have attained through very hard work. Congratulations to them. This does, however, bring an air of confusion as to the genuine merit and value of the grades attained. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that 50 years ago only a percentage of examinees were passed in each grade, A, B, etc. If so, it would have had the benefit of stricter marking and no added points for crude expressions. Universities would have had a better selection process as there would have been ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Can the Prime Minister now admit to the error in maginalising our brightest students and increase the investment in their future? We would then improve our commercial, industrial, scientific and professional status in the world and perhaps improve the calibre of our future politicians and other personnel in governing authorities. Sad indictment of council's culture policy From: Alice Sheepshanks, Arthington, near Leeds. AS the air reverberates with the sound of rock from the Leeds Festival, at Bramham, I sorely lament the lack of some culture and hope most sincerely that next year it will be possible for Leeds City Council to support the Leeds Shakespeare Festival again. It is so important to cater for all tastes, and not just to bow to the lowest common denominator. I believe wholeheartedly that Shakespeare can be appreciated by all ages and classes, particularly if performed by this most skilful and dedicated troupe, the British Shakespeare Company. I have taken my two children (now aged 12 and 14) to the performances at Kirkstall Abbey since they were quite small. They adored the spectacle, the language, the plot – it was a marvellous opportunity for them. I feel desperately sad that this year they can wander about at Bramham and listen to the thundering sound of Metallica and Tenacious D (which they love) but The Tempest or A Midsummer Night's Dream are out of the question. What a sad indictment on Leeds City Council.

By conducting an assessment of the book from a psychologist's perspective one realizes how strong willed Ferguson is and how he has surmounted one challenge after another in order to get to the position he is in today. These words not only convinced the media but also convinced the players at the club. It gave a huge boost in form to the squad an even at times made the opposition play worse. Perhaps the most famous of all his mind games was his 'Watch tapping' technique. He used this technique towards the end of every match Manchester United played. Adoption of Leed as a Green Building Rating System in Nigeria ARC 879: PROJECT FEASIBILITY STUDIES 2012 Adoption of LEED® as a Green Building Rating System in Nigeria Going Green In Nigeria OMOEFE AGHIMIEN 119051038 ABSTRACT Green building rating systems are in a state of constant flux and often differ from region to region. Regardless, fundamental principles persist from which the rating system is derived. These include sustainable sites and structure design efficiency, water efficiency, energy efficiency, materials efficiency, indoor environmental quality, operations and maintenance optimization, innovation and design process, waste and toxic reduction etc. The essence of green building is an optimization of one or more of these principles. The concept of sustainable development can be traced to the energy (especially fossil oil) crisis and the environment pollution concern in the 1970s. The green building movement originated from the need and desire for more energy efficient and environmentally friendly construction practices. There are a number of motives to building green, including environmental, economic, and social benefits. However, modern sustainability initiatives call for an integrated and synergistic design to both new construction and in the retrofitting of an existing structure. Also known as sustainable design, this approach integrates the building life–cycle with each green practice employed with a design–purpose to create a synergy amongst the practices used. Green building brings together a vast array of practices and techniques to reduce and ultimately eliminate the impacts of buildings on the environment and human health. It often emphasizes taking advantage of renewable resources, e.g., using sunlight through passive solar, active solar, and photovoltaic techniques and using plants and trees through green roofs, rain gardens, and for reduction of rainwater run–off. Cost Reduction And Revenue Growth 4.4 Operational Considerations Ideally, Jet2(b) will undertake a strategic combination of cost reduction and revenue growth, however the former is easier and quicker to implement in the short–term. Jet2 and Monarch employs 5,200 (About Us, 2016) and 3,000 (Corporate – Facts & Figures, 2016) staff respectively. With a high ratio of employee costs to total costs, combining this workforce will cause thousands of job losses, triggering immediate cost benefits. Jet2(b) will develop a common set of terms of employment and determine redundancy packages which overall will create staff morale issues. • 107. Reflection Essay : Respect For Race And Diversity Respect for Race and Diversity Respect for me is about showing true due regard for someone's feelings, emotions and rights. Respect is a key attribute that I have gained over the last decade of my life both in and around education. Whilst studying Law at Leeds Beckett University I was set various group tasks, one of the first activities set was a group presentation. The group consisted of 5 people and one of which did not understand nor speak very good English. After a couple of days' worth of preparation, the group became frustrated with this one individual, due to his lack of progression, I understood this was not entirely his fault. The group wanted to exclude him from the rest of the group because they felt he would bring their final overall grade down, however, I felt this was wrong of them. To help the project progress I held one to one sessions with him in the library, I explained the project thoroughly so he would understand what was needed of him and finally both he and I would go through practice runs of the presentation. I then spoke to the rest of the group and urged them to communicate with him more rather than exclude him from the presentation. This then led the group to achieve the highest grade possible for our presentation, a 1:1. Whilst working at Leeds Vue Cinema I was appointed a training buddy, this involved training new staff to their new appointed roles. On some occasions Vue Cinema recruited staff that did not speak nor understand very good English. Training was more difficult in these situations, however, I understood my colleagues' situation and trained them accordingly. I went over areas repetitively to ensure my colleagues understood what they were expected to do, I spoke slower and in a softer tone to ensure they could easily understand what I am saying , and urged the experienced staff to communicate to the new staff more and make them feel welcomed and valued to the company. I am aware of other people's religious beliefs and faiths and wholly respect their cultures. As a Muslim I am aware of religious events such as Ramadan. Therefore, whilst working at Vue Cinema I respect fellow Muslims, so to avoid disrespect I do not offer food or drink during this religious month. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It has so enraptured me, I simply can't stop thinking about it whether I'm at home, at school, or at the mall. That makes me sound like some kind of homicidal sadist, and I am fascinated by it for precisely that reason. Before I say anything more incriminating, I should mention that I love Manhunt the cultural experiment and not Manhunt the videogame, because the former has fared much better over time than the latter. Manhunt the game is a clunky, awkward mix of pseudo–horror and stealth with repetitive mechanics and little player freedom. There aren't any side activities or breaks in the monotony, and gameplay doesn't progress or evolve so much as it drags on. I didn't have fun with Manhunt, both when I first bought it and when I replayed some of the game to gather footage, it's simply not something I find engaging. Manhunt the game is mediocre, not broken, not unplayable, just antiquated. For what it is, it's okay, passable, adequate–but if it wasn't so violent, so unrepentantly vicious it would not be notable and that makes it all the more impressive that it is still worth talking about. Granted, those conversations are usually about the controversy it created, but that's a discussion that happens with nearly all of Rockstar's titles. Outside of the gaming sub–culture, Rockstar North gets more flak than any other developer I know of. Normally, it has to do with Grand Theft Auto–mainly because that's ... After being established in the 1930's, St George's crypt in Leeds managed to provide a slow and steady yet effective development of the homeless system. It is a now a well known Christian charity, providing care and support to the vulnerable. This organisation teaches the love and ministry in a very practical way, enabling clients to make the correct and positive decisions throughout their lifetime. From looking at this contextually, we are able to look at this charity in relation to the ideas of liberation theology. From this, the theological theme of the church begins to arise, it is clear that in today's secular society, we should begin to interpret the world using all of the sacramental and biblical insights that the church has provided. Throughout history, the notion of the church has been passed down from the New Testament to be first and foremost, a loving community, as the church is called to be a disciple of Christ. Within the bible it becomes clear, especially from the accounts of the Gospels that Jesus supports individuals usually pushed out of society. In the Gospel of Mark it says that "for even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve" the Church should follow Christ in this respect, serving to build the community eventually working towards the creation of the Kingdom of God. St Georges Crypt manages to achieve and present the notions of a church community. When visiting the centre I felt amazed at the family like atmosphere, it demonstrates a real sense of community. In 2000, Leanne lived with her mother and sister in the Bramley district in west Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Bramley is an area that's mainly residential, one with lots of history, local culture, and a strong local community. Consequently the financially excluded rely on range of informal solutions and 'sub–prime' providers. This has three negative effects: 1. Inability to access many services that now operate entirely beyond a cash based economy. 2. The banking sector is highly regulated with extensive consumer safeguards. Unfortunately similar protection is not always available when using subprime providers. 3. Most perniciously, the cost of credit varies enormously with APR rates from around 14% for a bank loan, to upwards of 177% for a small cash loan from a doorstep lender. It reduces families' disposable income, which in turn reduces their children's life chances, and thus cuts the amount spent with local shops and businesses. In addition to undermining existing micro–entrepreneurs, the lost money reduces the capacity of potential entrepreneurs to start businesses. This latent entrepreneurship is highlighted in the report, with 20% of those surveyed in deprived communities interested in affordable loans for business start–ups. What is the nature of financial exclusion in Leeds? To assess the extent of financial exclusion in Leeds a survey of 410 households in the most disadvantaged parts of the city was undertaken. LEED Site Assessment Essay LEED evaluates this under site assessment report on credentials such as Solar exposure, heat island effect potential, and seasonal sun angles, prevailing winds, monthly precipitation and temperature ranges. This part requires stating the average annual and monthly precipitation, humidity, and temperature of the site. Also involves provisions to identify onsite conditions of the site that could potentially provide opportunities for renewable energy strategies such as wind, solar, and geothermal. Sites that are designed to thrive within their natural climatic conditions require fewer resources to sustain as they are tailored for those weather conditions. Othe climatic aspects like rainfall and temperatures affect design issues such as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Human Use – LEED rates this factor based on adjacent transportation infrastructure, adjacent properties, existing recycle/reuse of potential construction materials. Reusing and recycling materials reduce the use of natural resources, which further protects habitat destruction, reduces waste generation and pollution. Existing public infrastructure can influence the site selection for buildings and hence the current LEED site assessment process involves reporting of the neighboring buildings and facilities. LEED also accounts for the energy used in commuting to and from the building site and hence has provisions to report proximity to any kind of transportation infrastructure in site assessment. Human Health Impacts – As stated earlier LEED acknowledges the construction of a building at a site and all its impacts on the existing ecosystem. It evaluates the proximity of vulnerable populations, adjacent physical activity opportunities and proximity to large sources of air pollution. The construction of a building may lead to an addition of several unwanted and harmful emissions into the ecosystem. Hence building use is defined and all possible effects on local population are determined to avoid any unpredicted future damage to health and lifestyle of the present population at the site. Efficacy of Site Assessment Site assessment is a fundamental part of site sustainability credit of the rating system. Although site assessment ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This minor is attractive to me because companies want engineers with an understanding of how they fit into the company as a whole, and a minor in business can help with this. In addition to this, the business minor takes the rigorous engineering courses that engineers must take into account, and, as a result, they have distilled the entire minor down to just 4 courses and 12 credit hours. The accessibility of the business minor makes it a popular choice for people from all different majors. The first courses are titled Marketing and Management and Finance and Accounting. Next, the student must choose a track from the following options: Innovation, Analytics, Entrepreneurship, and Global. Of these courses, I would be most likely to choose Entrepreneurship, as I like the idea of developing business ventures and taking risks. Finally, the student takes the Capstone course called Business Plan Development. This course is distinctive in that entire curriculum entails splitting up into smaller groups and developing a personalized, complete business plan for your own unique business. Each team is able to use the professor as a resource, and the business school also hires local entrepreneurs as coaches to help the teams along their journey. Each of the teams that wins their section moves on to a next level of competition where they present in front of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
