 Glaser’s doesn't believe in rewards and
punishment because they take away
responsibilities from the students.
 It would prefer students to create own personal
rewards for a job well done.
 He believes that consequences should be natural
and not teacher directed

pupils needs for belonging, power, fun and
freedom
 Pupil can control their own behavior
 Good choices produce good behavior
 Bad choices produce bad behavior
 Humans have rational minds and can have
rational choices.
Gordon’s model
Thomas Gordon
 Focus on the importance of developing mean and
mutually beneficial relationships
 A graphical tool is used to identify who owns the
problem when some ones behavior causes a problem or
inconvenience
 Teacher plot pupils behavior into a diagram called “
Behavior window”
Concept of classroom management
 To motivates students involvement in the teaching learning process,
explaining concepts, interacting with students i.e. questioning,
Probing, commenting, evaluating etc., assigning and checking
homework
 Teachers personal style verbal fluency, intellectual competence,
enthusiasm determine the quality of instruction.
 Classroom management involves more than these skills such as
establishing effective discipline and desired learning outcomes from
students
