1. Reflection
My planningforthe projectinvolvedgeneratingideaswithmyclientwhichwasareallylongprocess
decidingexactlywhattheywanted.Thenitwastoouse that ideaand make a bunch of ideasfora
videoanddo researchtohave an ideaof what to make thenafterthat I made documentationfor
filmingdoingstoryboards,shotlistsandriskassessments.Idiscussedcolours,shotsandaspects
aroundthese.Ithinkthat the planningwentaccordingtoplanand setme off forthe project.
Thisweekwas the firstweekof productionforme aftergettingall myplanningandideasall
togetherandI got my filmingdone atthe endof the weekgoingoutto a locationwithcameraand
equipmentthatI hadbookedoutfrom college. Findingthe locationtofilmat wasnot complicated
due to the fact that the nature reserve Iwenttoo isrightby the college where Iwasmakingthe
projectfrom. The nature reserve allowedme tobe intouchwiththe projectnicely asI got to
actuallyexperience wildlifeandnature.
In the video,itshall consistof alittle bitof animationof statistics,aswell asb-Roll footage of wildlife
and theninterviews.Thisismyplanforthe clientprojectandI thinkitwill workandshall workfor
the clienttotheirexpectations.Iwill probablydotheminthisorderaswell justbecause itmakes
much more sense talkingfactsfirstthenswitchingoff inbetween, thenatthe endopinions.
However,whilsteditingmymindchangedandthe b-roll footage came firstandthiswasbecause it
establisheswhatisbeingadvertisedandendingonfactsgetsyoutoo engage andsave what
would’ve beenseenearlier.
Afterachievingall of the shotsthatI neededforthe projectIuploadedthemall intopremierpro
and thenI carefullychose the onesthatwere leastshakyandamateurlookingandtriedtoplace
theminan order whichmakessense andafterfeedbackfromateacherI have foundthatthe order
and flowisgoodgoingleftdownandforward.Most of the shotswere handheldsothere’sa bitof
wobble andItriedto cut all of that outso as an audience youshouldn’tbe able totell.If Ihadthe
chance I would’ve gone outandfilmedagainbutunfortunatelyatthistime Ihave beenreallybusy.I
reallywantedtoexpandmyknowledge of premierpro whilstcreatingthisvideounfortunatelyI
didn’tlearnanythingnewwhichisdisappointingbutIwantthe projectto turn outwell.
There wasa breakoverthe ChristmasholidayandwhenIgot back I resumedmyworkonthis
projectstartingwithmakingthe typographyanimationscome acrossthe screenandthisisreally
simplisticbutitworksso well,Ididhowevermake amistake duringthis,itwasa minorspelling
mistake whichneedstobe corrected.Myvideoisshapinguprather nicelyIjustneededanintroand
a Segwaybetweenthe two,the introTahmiddesignedanditsuitsthe wildlife theme andstyle too
add extraI placedthisreverse andatthe endof the videotoround itoff,I alsoinclude aclicksound
effectwhenthe badgersticksouthistongue andthisisin time.Forthe Segway,inbetweenIjust
include atitle screencardand these are alwaysa great wayto breakup a videointosegments.My
videoitself doesnotactuallyhave anywildlife initsoto change thisI addeda squirrel shotof stock
footage andI deliberatelyplaceditatthe endof the b-roll footage because itrunsoff tothe right as
an indicationtothe nextstage.
The editingof thisprojectwasnot complicatedorintricate soI didn’tneedanyspecial optionsor
toolsI justusedthe regularmove,cutand audiogainwhichallowedme togetthe shot lengthsand
timingoff themjustrightas well assoundsoverone anotherwhichinmyopinionIam not verygood
at gettingrightso I will have tospeaktothe clientandsee whattheythinkof the matter.
Due to time restrictions, Ididn’tgetaninterview forthe projectbutIthinkitis alreadyata suitable
time whichthe clientwantedbutif Ihad more time thenI would’ve includedaninterview withan
olderperson. Toadd ina flare tomy projectI decidedtoscanin some drawingsandplace themon
my title cardand these are wildlife relatedandjustgivesthe audience somethingmore toolookat.
