Jawad ali yousafzai, a 9th grade student, gave a presentation on microbes. He discussed how microbes were first discovered in the 1600s by Hooke and Leeuwenhoek using early microscopes. Microbes include bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa, and algae. Some microbes are useful, such as fungi and bacteria used in making cheese, tea, soy sauce, and chocolate. However, some microbes are harmful, such as the chicken gunia virus spread by mosquitoes that causes fever and joint pain.

3. Microbe:- A Microorganism or Microbe
which can be seen by Microscope is called
Microbe.
Microbe may exist in its single cellled form,
or colony of cells.

5. Discovery of Microbe:- The Microscopic Organism
was discovered during the period of1665-83 by two Fellows
of The Royal Society, Robert Hooke and Antoni van
Leeuwenhoek. In Micrographia (1665) Hooke presented the
first published despiction of a microorganism the
microfungus Mucor, Later Leeuwenhoek observered and
described microscopic protozoa and bacteria.
This important revelation were made possible by the
ingenuity of Hooke and Leeuwenhoek in fabricating and
using simple Microscope.
After a lapse of more than 150 years microscopy became the
backbone of our understanding of the roles of Microbes in
the causation of infectious disease and the recycling of
chemical elements in the biosphere.
