by the plants in
large amount are
called
macronutrients.
These include .
‘C’H’N.

8. ROLE OF
NITROGEN;
Nitrogen is avital
substance.
Nitrogen is major
component of protein ,
hormones , chlorophyll
, vitamins and
enzymes essential for
plants life.
Nitrogen metabolism is a
major factor in stem and
leaf growth.

9. Nitrogen is the key element of amino
acid (NH3) . That is why nitrogen also
play vital role in protein synthesis.

10.  proteins are made up of amino acids.
 Too much supply of nitrogen can delay flowering
and fruiting.
Deficiency of nitrogen can cause yellowing of the
leave and stunted growth.
