Meals on Wheels provides meals and companionship to homebound elderly to prevent hunger and social isolation. They rely entirely on volunteers to deliver nearly 3,000 meals daily. As the population of seniors grows, volunteers are needed more than ever for jobs like meal preparation, delivery, and serving at meal sites. Volunteering with Meals on Wheels benefits both seniors who receive meals and companionship, as well as volunteers who help their community.
