sponsors donated more than 75,000 pounds

2. About us
Foodlink was founded in 1978 by Tom Ferraro.
Mr. Ferraro was working at Action for a Better
Community at the time of Foodlink’s founding,
and received funding to support the Community
Food and Nutrition Program.
By 1980, he had established the national food
bank network, now known as Feeding America.
Foodlink has had a 34-year history in feeding
the hungry throughout the Greater Rochester
area, spreading to 10 counties in the Genesee
Valley and Finger Lakes Region.
The program is part of the national network of
food banks, helping redistribute over 12 million
pounds of food a year to a network of 450
programs.

companies that donate food and drinks.
