These are concerned with using
the materials, which have
already been extracted at the
primary stage.
3. Examples:-
Mining of an iron ore is a primary
industry, but manufacturing of steel
by way of further processing of raw
irons is a secondary industry.
4. Secondary industries may be further
divided as follows;
1. Manufacturing industries.
2. Analytical industry.
3. Synthetical industry.
4. Processing industry.
5. Assembling industry.
5. These are concerned with providing support
services to primary and secondary industries
as well as activities relating to trade.
These industries provide service facilities.
These may be considered part of commerce
6. Tertiary industries include;
Transport
Banking
Insurance
Warehousing
Communication
Packaging
Advertising
