Middle East Beast By Joel Richardson
There is a recent form of prophetic interpretation known as Islamic End–Time Theory. This view
was made popular from the book, Middle East Beast by Joel Richardson. The basic premise is that
the last kingdom Daniel prophesied as the ten toes of the statue in chapter two and the fourth beast
in chapter seven is an Islamic kingdom ruled by an Islamic Antichrist, considered by Muslims as the
Mahdi.
This view has definite strengths; foremost, its answer to the problem this present world faces with
Radical Islamic Terrorism, whose goal is to create a one–world Islamic Kingdom under Sharia Law.
As ISIS spreads its campaign of terror and torture on the level of biblical proportions across the
Middle East, events appear to parallel prophecies in The Bible, i.e. the beheading of the saints.
Ever since I started studying prophecy I wondered where Islam fits into the puzzle. The Bible is not
explicit regarding historical developments such as the discovery of America or Islam. Fact is,
portions of Scripture could, in my opinion, pertain to America, e.g. Isaiah 5:26–30. But caution must
be used when interpreting any passage of Scripture. There is always a temptation to use eisegesis
(imposing a meaning onto a text) as opposed to exegesis (drawing meaning out of the text). This is
true for the scholar and laymen alike. The meaning of any text must come from its context, not a
pretext. Passages can have multiple applications and in some cases, even double fulfillment, but any

The And Of The Final Events Of Earth 's History
There is much speculation as to who the Antichrist. I know him to be an evil alliance, a deceiver, a
murder, liar, a man, or sinister individual or any individual who denies the Person of Christ; and in
denying the Son you deny the Father. Some are saying his appearance is still in the future. Others
say he appeared long ago in the days of ancient Rome. The bible doesn't give us any specifics as
who and where the antichrist will come from. But does indicate that he is alive today and will play a
vital role in the final events of Earth's history. Many bible scholars take the position that the
antichrist being a confederacy of ten nations. "The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this
kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three
kings. He will speak against the Most High and oppress His holy people and try to change the set
times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a
time" (King James Version, Daniel. 7:24–25). There are yet others who believe the antichrist will
come as a Jew claiming to be the Messiah. In (Ezkeiel 21: 25–27) we read, "and thou, profane
wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when iniquity shall have an end, thus saith the Lord
God; remove the diadem, and take off the crown." At that time Israel will have a Prince, a Prince
who is crowned (v.26) and a Prince whose day is said to come when "iniquity shall have an end."
Now, who is this

Essay about Religious Symbolism in "A Good Man Is Hard to...
Religious Symbolism in the Grandmother and the Misfit
Flannery O'Connor has long been criticized for her blatant incorporation of religious symbols into
sinister, dark stories. In the short story "A Good Man Is Hard To Find," the dark and apathetic Misfit
is said to portray, in an allegorical sense, a Christ–like figure. However, through the interpretation of
the inversions of divine characteristics, his repulsion of Christ's very existence, and the denial of any
powers beyond the observable realm, we find that the Misfit is actually representative of the Anti–
Christ.
Religion symbolism appears often in "A Good Man Is Hard to Find"; the first appearances of
religious symbolism are presented with the speech of the grandmother. In her ... Show more content

This, however, is inaccurate because the Misfit is not actually a portrayal of Christ, but of the very
thing Christ came to defeat – Satan.
The Misfit is a symbol of the anti–Christ and is portrayed as such through the inversion of divine
characteristics. As pointed by Marion Montgomery, "the devil she presents in her fiction is the devil
Christ came to oppose, made articulate in a world largely given to him." In the Bible, Jesus is a
surrounded by little children, whom he loves. The Misfit is bother by little children, even stating,
"Watch them children, Bobby Lee," he said. "You know they make me nervous" (O'Connor 642).
Michael O. Bellamy emphasizes that this "set of inversion is consistent with the Misfit's entire
personality" (200). When the Misfit is called "a different breed of dog," this shows the inversion of
the word God itself, and "demonology is based on inverting the sacred" (O'Connor 643, Bellamy
200). Moreover, "the Misfit is a self–imposed title," which is representative of "the figure of that
ultimate misfit of Christian orthodoxy, Satan" (Montgomery 186). The emphasis on the Misfit's
alienation from society is show by the symbolism of the true misfit in Christianity. The rejection of
Satan by God can be reversed to say that Satan rejects God, and thus the Misfit reject religion.
Throughout the story, the Misfit is constantly in denial about the existence of God, the resurrection
of Jesus, and the necessity of

Analysis Of The Book Picks Up Again
Below, the original transcript of the book picks up again; written with virtually zero knowledge of
A.I. technology. It shows the demonic involvement with The Mark of The Beast.
What if the Mark of the Beast was something super–natural? Something directly linked to satanic
forces? A blend of technology wedded together with demonic possession? What if the delusion was
so great that The Antichrist and the False Prophet convinced the world by their signs and wonders
that humanity could become gods, and live forever simply by taking the Mark of the Beast? Are
there other clues that may suggest that The Antichrist will try to pull off the greatest deception of all
time? Notice:
"Then the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from heaven which had fallen to the earth; and the
key of the bottomless pit was given to him. 2 He opened the bottomless pit, and smoke went up out
of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of
the pit. 3 Then out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth, and power was given them, as the
scorpions of the earth have power. 4 They were told not to hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green
thing, nor any tree, but only the men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. 5 And they
were not permitted to kill anyone, but to torment for five months; and their torment was like the
torment of a scorpion when it stings a man. 6 And in those days men will seek death and will not
find it; they will long

The Bible As An Ounce Of Humor
People think of the Bible as this super serious all–holy book with never an ounce of humor. Well, it
is serious and holy. But there are a few sections of it that just make me laugh. An example is from
the book of Acts: "God was performing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, so that
handkerchiefs or aprons were even carried from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and
the evil spirits went out. But also some of the Jewish exorcists, who went from place to place,
attempted to name over those who had the evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, 'I adjure
you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.' Seven sons of one Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this.
And the evil spirit answered and said to them, 'I recognize Jesus, and I know about Paul, but who
are you?' And the man, in whom was the evil spirit, leaped on them and subdued all of them and
overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded." (Acts 19:11–16)
I get a kick out of these ridiculous so–called prophets on television "binding Satan". What a joke.
Not sure if Satan has a sense of humor, but if he does, he must be laughing over statements like this.
Nowhere in the Bible are we commanded to bind Satan. I've mentioned the word, Preterists, before.
The word just means, "already fulfilled". They see Revelation as a book that was fulfilled at the
destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. This has many interpretive difficulties, one of which is the fact
that the book of Revelation

Lord Of The Flies Simon Character Analysis
Before being savagely cannibalized and discarded, Simon's Christ–like caliber and presence on the
island was nothing short of a wild and complex storyline. After a group of English schoolboys crash
onto a mysterious island far from where they call home, which is in the midst of a turbulent world
war, they are forced to fend for themselves and co–exist with no adult supervision. The intricate
character of Simon in Lord of the Flies is in more ways than one a Christ–like figure. He has a
unique relationship with the environment, which he shows through his practice of meditation, he
acts much more pious and altruistic than his peers on the island, and in the end dies a gruesome
votive death. It is safe to say that Simon is the only boy on the island that represents virtue. Simon
has an enthralling hallucination in which the severed sow's head, also known as "The Lord of the
Flies", talks to him and informs him that he will never be able to be free from him, for he lies within
the bounds of every living person. In the Bible, "The Lord of the Flies" translates to the name
Beelzebub, which means "a powerful demon in hell sometimes thought to be the devil himself."
Simon displays incontestable parallels in his characteristics, actions, and death with Jesus Christ.
Simon shares a surplus of qualities and elements with Christ. Essentially, Simon, like Jesus, is
conscious of the opinions and emotions of other people. When Ralph becomes doubtful of their safe
return home, Simon

Dogville And Antichrist Comparison Essay
4. If we were to watch these two films and then get asked if without knowing the directors were the
same, we would still see a compatible trait that these two films have. Lars von Trier has created
some of the craziest and darkest films of time. Dogville and Antichrist are defiantly on Lars von
Trier's crazy train. The definition of losing someone or something is definitely an imprint that Lars
von Trier makes perfectly clear. Grace Margaret Mulligan from Dogville loses her entire life to a
god–forsaken town, and both characters from Antichrist lose their child to a very powerful entity.
Loss, it the subject to what forms the entire two films. Loss creates grief for Mulligan, and for the
two characters in film, their losses builds the character

The End Of The Antichrist
When Jesus opens the seventh seal, there is silence in heaven for what is the space of a half an hour
as it marks the prophetic judgment of God. Within the Heavens, this emblematic silence is a
revelation of the glory, singing around the globe as it establishes a new evolution of something
unbelievable. During the last stage, the four horsemen dispense over the earth a demonic pleasure
that identifies time not in an earth dimension, but in the spirit realm beyond earth's physical
boundaries. Though the earth's kingdoms of World War II cannot possibly grasp the mind of God,
they in their mortal minds try to seek to convert the nations to the change associating God's
schedule. When the warfare starts in the late 1930s, the world 's population is about 2 billion. In less
than a decade, the war results in 80 million deaths killing off nearly 4 percent of the population.
According to scripture, "the LORD looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men; from His
dwelling place, He looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth, He who fashions the hearts of them
all, He who understands all their works" (Psalm 33:13–15). All the motions and operations of the
souls of men, which no mortals know but themselves, God knows better than they do. On May 8,
1945, the end of the Antichrist, explains the Allies accept Germany's surrendering terms as their

Secrets Of The Antichrist
Antichrist: Secrets of the antichrists against Christians
Antichrist is a commander who has battalions of soldiers called the antichrists. The Antichrist is
planning a coup to overthrow the salvation of Jesus Christ in the life of the Christians.
There is a lot of news flying on the media as regards the identity of Antichrist. Some said it is Pope
Francis, while some versions said President Obama is the Antichrist. Hmm! The next breaking news
on Antichrist might be one of my uncles in the Government...
Do not be confused by the 'super' mathematicians who are too curious to interpret the prophetic
messages of Antichrist in the Bible.
Let's take the subject of antichrist from its simpler terms. Antichrist is an organization controlled by
Satan, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Antichrist (as an evil organization) has its best performance in the aspect of deceit.
Let's read the remark of Jesus to the Pharisees who were the first set of antichrist in the book of
John chapter 8 verses 44: "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want
to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no
truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father
of it."
The antichrist intensified their efforts when the soldiers watching the tomb of Jesus were bribed, and
compelled to spread the lies that Jesus' corpse was stolen. The book of Mathew chapter 28 verse 12
to 15 says: "When they had assembled with the elders and consulted together, they gave a large sum
of money to the soldiers, saying, "Tell them, 'His disciples came at night and stole Him away while
we slept.' So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this saying is commonly
reported among the Jews until this day."
The deceitful works of the antichrist made majority of the Jews to lose faith in Jesus

The Second Coming By W. B. Yeats
"The Second Coming" by W. B. Yeats, was written in 1919 following World War I and was to
present the idea that he thought that the apocalypse as presented in the Book of Revelation from the
Bible was about to begin. The poem does not mention the second coming of Christ but rather
focuses on the coming of the antichrist, meaning Yeats could only see despair, hopelessness, and
chaos in the world. These sentiments of Yeats and others are due to war damages, collapsing
economies, and the coming of the Great Depression and the Irish civil war. The word choice, meter,
persona, subject, and lack of mention of Christ all collectively contribute to reflecting Yeats'
sentiments in the poem. Several lines in the poem support this mentality of despair and chaos.
"Turning and turning in the widening gyre" refers to the worsening state of society with the collapse
of democratic governments and economies. (1) The second line, "The falcon cannot hear the
falconer" means that any sense of hierarchy and authority has been lost. The best people don't have
the conviction to combat the growing evil and the worst, the sinners, are full of passionate intensity
meaning the world is filled with those who wish to do evil. (7–8) These lines emphasize the
corruption that the world is falling into. The selection of adjectives and nouns used in the poem
carry a negative connotation reflecting the negatives thoughts of the state of the world. Yeats uses
words such as "blood–dimmed," "anarchy,"

Nero as the Antichrist Essay
Nero as the Antichrist Nero was a mixture of megalomania, evil, and cruelty according to Roman
historians as well as Jews and Christians. His sin of matricide and his claims of deity were major
elements in his infamous reputation. Though modern Historians have tried to whitewash Nero and
say that certain groups in Rome and other parts of the empire supported him, his name has become a
synonym for tyrant and, for many, Antichrist. Nero was born in AD 37 on December 15 to
Agrippina and Gnaeus. Nero's father was said to have run his chariot over a boy deliberately and to
have killed one of his freedman for drinking less than he was ordered. Agrippina was without a
doubt the most successfully ambitious mother in history. She would ... Show more content on

Impostors pretending to be the returning Nero appeared in sixty–nine and in eighty AD. In the year
eighty – eight AD, a more serious pretender surfaced in Parthia and, according to the Roman
historians, almost succeeded in bringing about a war between these ancient superpowers. We know
that the idea of a returning Nero affected Jewish thought of the first and second centuries primarily
through his appearance in the Sibylline oracles. In book five written in Egypt around one – hundred
AD and bitterly anti – Roman, makes a full presentation of Nero as the apocalyptic opponent of the
messiah. No less than five passages contain an extensive development of the story of the evil
emperor. Aspects of his life and deeds are prophetically recounted. He is described as having
disappeared but also as becoming destructive again when he returns declaring himself equal to God.
A final passage in Book five also approaches the Antichrist legend by contrasting the action of the
returning Nero as the agent of final apocalyptic conflict. The belief that Antichrist – Nero is the
devil incarnate is one of the two major forms of the Christian use of the stories about Nero.
Although this form would be rejected by the mainstream tradition, it would have a number of
adherents in later centuries. The second Christian use of the Nero legend, one that found its center in
contrasting resurrections

Brief History Of Revelations : Revelation Was The Last...
Brief History of Revelations
The book of Revelations is the last book of the New Testament consisting of only 22 verses and is
prophetic in nature: Revelation 19 v.10 declares, "for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophe–
cy"; contains descriptions of the final conflict between God and Satan as well as the signs (seven)
that reveals the end of the world; attributed to Saint John the Apostle via an angel sent by God; "I
was in the spirit on the Lord 's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet" (Rev. 1.11).
According to Biblica the Book of Revelation was written during when Christians were entering two
periods of persecution in the Roman Empire. The latter part of Nero's reign (a.d. 54–68) and the
latter part of Domitian's reign (81–96 A.D )
The Number Seven is used several times in the Revelations: There are: seven churches (1:4,11),
seven spirits (1:4), seven golden lampstands (1:12), seven stars (1:16), seven seals (5:1), seven
horns and seven eyes (5:6), seven trumpets (8:2), seven thunders (10:3), seven signs (12:1,3; 13:13–
14; 15:1; 16:14; 19:20), seven crowns (12:3), seven plagues (15:6), seven golden bowls (15:7),
seven hills (17:9) and seven kings (17:10), as well as other sevens. Symbolically, the num–ber seven
(as is the number ten) stands for completeness (Revelation).
The Second Coming of Christ is the end result of the Revelation Prophesies "...and there were great
voices in heaven, saying, the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms

Simon As A Christ Figure In William Golding's Lord Of The...
In the novel Lord of The Flies, William Golding portrayed Simon as a Christ–figure. Simon and
Jesus led parallel lives. Simon's appearance seemed to resemble that of Jesus Christ's. Simon picked
fruit from the tree to feed the littluns. He also practiced deep meditation away from the other
children. Simon received messages from the Lord of The Flies while meditating. Simon also tried to
illuminate the children about the myth of "the beast" and dies a horrific death at the hands of the
people he loved. He received an almost angelic burial. His death marks the completion of the
destruction of the island's civilization. All of these events allude to Jesus's life events, according to
the scriptures in the Bible.
Simon's appearance seemed to resemble that of Jesus Christ's. Simon is described as having no
external beauty to speak of. "He was a small, skinny boy, his chin pointed..." (Golding 55). While
Jesus is also described as non good looker himself. "...there is no beauty that we should desire him."
(Isaiah 53:2).
In the novel, Simon picked fruit for the littluns, when they could not reach it. "Simon found for
them the fruit they could not reach." (Golding 56). In the Bible, Jesus took 5 loaves of bread and
looking up at the heaven he fed the crowd of people. " Taking the five loaves and the two fish and
looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. ... gave them to the people" (Matthew
14:18–20 NIV). The parallel here demonstrates that both Simon and Jesus fed

Antichrist Black Case
Incident: A young woman named Karen has (supposedly) decided to take her life into her own
hands. An Unnamed witness has said to see her in town, looking possessed. Another witness
remarks that they have seen her walking around, wearing her red shoes, the devil's official colour of
choice. Many suspect her of straying from the church in order to carry out the Antichrist's dirty
work. Detail of events: Karen (prime suspect) is distancing herself from the virtuousness of the
Christian church; many witnesses have seen her act strangely in public while wearing those red
shoes. The obvious assumption here is that she is colluding with the devil. Actions taken: The
creation of an evidence board allows for an objective and detailed look at Karen's character. Black is
foundational, representing the main relationships she has with her red shoes, a red–bearded soldier,
adoptive mother, and the church. White marks the subliminal connections that we think are
significant in her life; these words implicitly shed some light on the issues that affect her in this
case. Lastly, the red invokes the larger themes at play, like how women are conditioned to think

Essay about Lord of the Flies Simon as Christ
Simon, Christ–figure?
In the book Lord of the Flies the charecter, Simon, is portrayed as a Christ–figure. He is shown to
have all the qualities Christ has: intelligence, determination, and resiliance. Simon also is portrayed
like Christ physically, he is skinny and not a strong person. Simon was very calm, kind, and he
enjoyed being alone when ever he could.
Simon was made fun of by the other kids because of how he acted and the things he said. One such
ocassion was when he was talking to Ralph and said, "You'll get back to where you came
from" to which Ralph replied a few lines later, "You're batty." (Page 111) Simon

Simon also never fell for the illusions of the beast and despite the fact that he is one of the smallest
biguns he never follows the others and always does what he wants to and says what he wants to.
One such occasion where he shows his defiance of the others beliefs is when he says to everyone,
"I think we ought to climb the mountain." (page 128) This shows that he knows the
beast isn't real and he shows no fear of the unknown. Christ called people to do things they thought
impossible just as Simon did here. Many people said that the things Jesus wanted them to do were
impossible, and here whne Simon said they should do something they said that since the three
strongest boys couldn't do it no one could.
Simon was even sacraficed during the ritual dance so that the other boys may live. When Simon
died he was killed by all the boys, but many of them are told that it wasn't really him. Ralph knows
it was Simon they killed, and he realizes how everyone is becoming because Simon died. Also the
way Simon was shown in the movie after he died showed him as a Christ–figure in the story. Simon
dies on water that is calm, peaceful, and pure, the light reflects off the water and gives a kind of
feeling of holiness, and the way he was floating with his arms stretched out like he was on the cross
as Jesus was.

Character Essay of Simon
The appearance of Simon in the novel The Lord of the Flies is of great significance and is
substantial for the development of the story because he made lots of points in the story. First of all,
it is important to state that he sent simple, yet deep messages throughout the novel, with morals
behind them. Religiously speaking, Simon can be identified as the Christ–figure in the story. Simon
also had a very specific role in the novel in being the character in contact with nature. Simon's
significance in the story is obvious, and one way to deduce this is by identifying his messages.
Throughout the story, Simon gave a variety of advice that did not seem important at the moment,
but turned out to be substantial as time went by. Simon ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Beelzebub also tempted Simon and gave him a forecast of what would happen. Like Jesus, Simon
knows he has to die to allow the tribe to subsist. The facts that everybody was guilty, and that no
one did anything to bring him back to life link him to Christ in a greater proportion. After Simon's
death, the tribe started to believe in him, especially Ralph, noticing Simon was right and he tried to
tell them the truth about the Beast remembering that it was inside all of them; similar to what
occurred with Jesus and his apostles. An even more compelling similarity between Jesus and Simon
is that "Jesus then leads three of his disciples to a very high mountain, where he undergoes the
Transfiguration from Jesus to the Christ figure, the true Son of God. He then comes down from the
mountain and begins his priestly ministry" (Racicot). Like Jesus, Simon goes out to the woods and
meditates, coming back with more clear answers and perspective of things. On one occasion, Simon
went up to the mountain and talked with the Lord of the Flies, having a similar situation to the one
Jesus had when he was in the desert meditating. Simon's relation to religion is evident, and his role
was even clearer.
Simon had a specific mission in the novel: the opportunity to talk to the beast and receive answers,
very similar to revelations. His role was to help the boys notice what the Beast really was, and not

Simon As A Christ Figure Analysis
The Christ Figure
A Christ figure could be interpreted as an individual that is a manifestation or delegation of Jesus
Christ. It is apparent to distinguish a Christ–like human from someone of common characteristics by
their alluring behavior. For instance, one could define this feature using appearance, personality, and
attitude. The Lord of the Flies is a novel that opens up with a plane departing a group of schoolboys
from Britain that had been shot down over a desolate island. Britain had been in the depths of a war
and these school kids go to extreme in means of survival. Initially, the boys relished the idea of not
having any adults with them until they had realized they could not possibly live without them for
long. Simon, one of the schoolboys on the island, was introduced as a spiritual, kind–hearted
kid.Acknowledging he possess these components, Simon appears detached from the rest of the boys.
This essay will demonstrate how the novel portrays Simon as a "Christ Figure" by the way he
performs on the island, such as his seclusion and peaceful nature, his appearance, his actions
towards the boys, and his death.
Simon primarily is isolated from all that is occurring on the island. He portrays himself as one of the
sane boys considering the rest had exposed savage like demeanor from remaining on the island for
an extended amount of time. " Simon paused. He looked over his shoulder as Jack had done at the

Reflection Of The Book Of Revelation
The book of Revelation opens with an astonishing glimpse of future events that Jesus revealed to
John. God gave Jesus the revelation, and Jesus sent the revelation to His servant John by an angel.
In this opening scene of Revelation, John heard a mighty voice behind him speaking to him. When
he turned to see who was speaking he saw a graphic view of seven candlesticks with a man standing
amid them. The display of seven candlesticks and the One in the middle of them was significant to
the totality of the vision that John received to be written down for an everlasting record of the things
that must certainly come to pass for all believers. John, the servant of Jesus Christ, had been exiled
on the Isle of Patmos because of his witness and testimony of the word of God, and because of his
all–embracing commitment to Jesus. He proclaimed that he was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day
when he heard a mighty, powerful voice speaking behind him. Upon hearing the voice, he
immediately gave heed to the direction of the voice and saw seven candlesticks and the One
standing in the midst of them. The significance of the candlesticks was that they were symbolic of
the seven churches that were in Asia. The Lord assigned John the task of writing to the seven
churches and reporting the revelation to them that was divulged to him by Jesus. Jesus analyzed
each of the churches and revealed to John a status report of His findings. The very candid reports,
whether good or bad,

There are three demonic creatures that are described in Revelation 12–13: a dragon, the Beast out of
the Sea and the Beast out of the Earth. Chapter 12 focuses on the dragon. According to Revelation
13:3b, it is described as, "An enormous red dragon with 7 heads and 10 horns and 7 crowns on its
heads. Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth." John blatantly
describes this dragon as, "that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world

The second and third creatures are described in Revelation 13 as the Beast out of the Sea and the
Beast out of the Earth. The Beast out of the Sea is described in Revelation 13:1b–2a as having, "Ten
horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. The
beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like a lion." Mounce
points out, along with other commentators, that the Beast out of the Sea combines characteristics of
the four beasts in Daniel 7 (Mounce 240). That is, a lion, a bear, a four–headed leopard, and a fourth
beast with iron teeth and many horns.
According to Revelation 13, the Beast of the Sea has the destructive power to have the people
worship and follow him. Along with the power to wage war against God's people of every tribe,
language, and nation and conquer them. This power is given to him for 42 months. Beale believes
that, "The references to the opponent speaking great things against God in Daniel 7:8, 11, 20 and 25
refer to the boastful horn associated with the fourth kingdom, which John saw as prophetic of Rome
and its corporate successors" (Beale 695). He also believes that the Beast of the Sea is not identical
with the Roman state, but simply shows itself through the power and destruction of the Roman state

The Beast In The Book Of Revelation
In the Book of Revelation, the beast that came out of the sea represented the Roman Empire and its

daunting appearance is depicted in Rev 13:2–"He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns
on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name" (REV 13:2). As the verses in Revelation

On one hand, some believe that the Book of Revelation was the message from Jesus Christ's which
was sent directly to Christians of the first century to comfort them in a time of conflict and struggle.
On the other hand, some comprehend the book of Revelation in another way–They argue that the
Revelation was not written only for Christians in first century, and the original purpose was not to
console their pain. It's also important to explore these different approaches to interpret the
Revelation. The first kind of view which I hold is called the Preterist view. And the other view
which considers Revelation to be fulfilled in past history is called the Historicist view. Historicists
would "see Revelation as predicting the major movements of Christian history, most of them have
been fulfilled up to the time of the commentator." According to this description, the historicist
interpreters regard the purpose of the Book of Revelation as predicting a part of the future (which in
this case means after the1st century). Different commentators in different time interpreted the Book
of Revelation in different ways, but all of them only considered the history before the time when
they studied it. But if Jesus Christ was to show the future, why did he just show a part of it rather
than the whole Christian history? To answer this question, a new school called the futurist view
emerged. "The futurist view

A World Primed For The Lie
A World Primed for the LIE
Donald Trump is 70 years old. If he spends two terms in office before he enters the world stage, that
will make him nearing 80 years of age by the time he becomes the world leader. Whether the rapture
happens on his first day in office or after two terms of his presidency, Trump may be a bit too aged
to fulfill such an arduous role as described in the Bible. This too was an obstacle for me, preventing
me from connecting the dots; that is until I thought about it a bit more deeply.
As mentioned previously, the meaning of Antichrist is twofold: 1.) to be against Christ 2.) to be in
place of Christ. Specifically, everything that is genuine about the Antichrist is fully against Christ,
and much of what appears like Christ will be an illusion with a goal of supplanting Christ. He will
delude the world into thinking that he is the Messiah. His imitations of Christ will be as inauthentic
as Trump's "Made in China" luxury ties. All that glitters is NOT gold.
Yet imitations can be very deceiving. In this modern world, imitation works of art are being
produced that even fool the experts. Computer technology can artificially age an item just as easily
as Botox can artificially un–age a person. What will happen in the tribulation when the ultimate
deceiver, Satan himself, enters the man whose quest for world power is built on deception? Much
indeed; delusion hitherto thought impossible. Up will be down. Left will be right, and right will be
wrong. Life will

Antichrist
The play of Antichrist is a play written in the 12th century with a bipartite structure in which the two
halves of the book explains a different concept of religion. Gentilitas, who argues for polytheism on
grounds of perceived contradiction with divinity. Then follows Synagoga as the second speaker
which argues for monotheism and denies incarnation and is against the holy trinity. The third
speaker is Ecclesia which is followed by the the Pope accompanied by mercy and Emperor
accompanied by justice and together in a form similar weddings they approach the alter. The play
follows a chronological order displaying the progression of human beliefs from the time of the
Greek( Polytheism) to Romans (Monotheism) to current times in the 21st century. ... Show more

She enters the scene, singing, "For if we say a single god control the universe, We must admit the
forces that control are diverse. Sometimes he grants a blessed peace with loving gentleness;
Sometimes he shakes the storms of war with savage ruthlessness" (Wright 68:10–15). Then she
finishes off by stating " But those who say a single god controls such different forces, Thus have a
god whose unity is turned in different courses. Lest then we say a single god is subject to such
friction, And thus admit divinity is ruled by contradiction, We are determined for this cause to
separate the gods, since by their provinces we see how much they are at odds" ( Wright 68:20–30).
The play of Antichrist opens up with Gentilitas because most of humans in early history believed in
polytheism, and "recently" is when humans started believing in monotheism. The Greeks and
Romans were two of the best human civilizations to have ever lived; they believed in Polytheism.
Monotheism was something foreign to them, and they did not take the practice seriously.
Summarily, order is important in the play, it was necessary for Gentilitas to speak first to set up the
stage for everyone

How Does Golding Present Simon in Lord of the Flies-What...
How Does Golding Present Simon In the Novel–what is his role?
William Goldings "Lord of the flies", portrays a group of boys who find themselves stranded on a
desert island in a deep battle between civilisation and primitive savagery. One of the boys portrayed,
Simon, a boy who is kind and physically fragile expresses a deeper knowledge of the problems on
the island that the other boys are unaware of. There are many differing viewpoints on his role in the
novel. One of these is that he is a biblical parallel; Simon portrays a saintly figure, and shows many
of the qualities demonstrated by Jesus Christ. He demonstrates a strong connection with nature
throughout, and also is shown to be a character of strong goodwill and kindness.

He help the littluns to get fruit, and 'pulled off the choicest from up in the foliage, passed them back
down to the endless, outstretched hands'. He also helps Piggy to get his glasses back when Jack has
knocked them off, showing that he does not discriminate against Piggy because he is different but
chooses to help him, even if this may cause him to suffer in the future. These may indicate that
Simon, though other characters may be thought of as "good" and kind, such as Piggy or Ralph,
Simon shows no flaws at all.
Simon possesses a deep knowledge and understanding about the truth of the island and the beast of
which the other boys know not. He also seems to posses many mystic qualities. He is the first to
understand truly that the beast is not a physical or material being, but something that lives within the
boys. Unlike piggy or Ralph, who are able to appreciate adult knowledge and understanding, Simon
possesses the ability to see the darker side of knowledge. For Simon, the eyes of the Pig's head on
the stick are "dim with the infinite cynicism of adult life", meaning that adults believe nothing is
ideal, therefore his realisation in itself is cynical–– the beast lives within the children, making
Simon distrust the human nature. He knows the truth but is unable to get it across to the other boys;
"Simon became inarticulate in his effort to express mankind's' essential illness". Simon understands
the truth behind the beast– that the

Examples Of Animalism In Tamburlaine
In Tamburlaine, Marlowe also uses animalistic imagery. Throughout the beginning of Tamburlaine's
rise, rival kings and emperors consistently referred to him and his men in animalistic terminology,
for example calling Tamburlaine savage or incivil (p.4), or, doubly implying that he is either deity or
beast, noting that he "was never sprung of human race" (p.24), and that his troops "lie in ambush
waiting for a prey." (p.17) The imagery of animalism in reference to Tamburlaine is not only an
insult to his character, but also a hint at his low birth. While Tamburlaine may never directly hear
these insults, it is almost as if he perceives them as he turns around and punishes formerly mighty
kings as animals once he has gained authority. Marlowe is reinforcing Tamburlaine comparison to a
beast in the latter's abuses of former royalty. Though, like all things Tamburlaine does, he takes
fighting like a beast to the extreme. The effect is a monarch almost entirely devoid of a human
nature, or a conscience.

Friedrich Nietzsche's The Antichrist
Despite the title, Friedrich Nietzsche's book The Antichrist is anything but contrary to the teachings
of Jesus Christ as best understood in the Synoptic Gospels. In fact, Nietzsche's project in this work,
if I do dare to interpret Nietzsche, is to reveal the complete silliness of ambiguous, vague, absolutely
non–empirical concepts; specifically, concepts that create "values". In fact, Nietzsche's purpose in
writing this book is to reveal those who have abused the transcendental in order to manipulate and
control those that are unable to understand, or wish not to understand, the improbability of such
kinds of divine revelation. In short, ever since the life if the man known as Jesus Christ, so called
"christians" have manipulated his teachings ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nietzsche claims that the Christian religion has, for a very long time, been used as a means to
confuse and dismiss reality. Instead, priests have been suggesting vague concepts such as
"judgement", "salvation", "faith", "sin", etc. in order to freely command whatever values they see
fit. The priests, in Nietzsche's view, have been using the transcendental and unfalsifiable realm of
the religious in order to create selfishly motivated lies for the gain of power. The poor masses have
been following this bunch of lies because that they are deceived in thinking that they will
themselves gain more power by the way of God offering equality and eternal life. However, in all
actuality, the world is not equal and these masses are being made to suffer an even greater deal than
necessary for the sake of a filthy religious lie. Nietzsche suggests that we, instead, abandon these
lies and leave the "will of God" in the past for a more happy future. Instead, Nietzsche offers, we
can come to terms with reality and authentically seek to fulfill our deepest desires; i.e. the natural
values attributed to our psyche by the way of the process of

Discuss The Qualities Of The Iron Beast
CHARACTERISTIS OF THE GENTILE POWERS 1. Lion – depicted the Nature of Babylonian

 Nebuchadnezzar in his day was respected as the sole ruling monarch in the kingdom of Babylon,
just as a natural lion is recognized as the king of the beasts in the animal world;
 The eagle's wings of the lion in the text pictured his ability to move swiftly to conquer when he
attacked other kingdoms;
 Later however, the wings were plucked off – depicted what happened to Nebuchadnezzar at the
end of a seven year affliction after he had been delivered of his rage and brutish tyranny.

After Rome had conquered a nation, its conquerors were not satisfied with humiliating the rulers
and leaders of the conquered land by making them bow to Roman law;
The Iron Beast used its force to crush even small insignificant remaining people into the low place
of subjection.
In Summary
 The ten horns of the Iron Beast in Daniel's revelation coincide with the ten toes in the image of
Nebuchadnezzar's dream.
 Both the horns and the toes represent the tenfold division of the Roman Empire at the end of its
fall.
 In Nebuchadnezzar's dream, the feet were a mixture of iron and clay – partly strong and partly
weak.
 Thus, the kingdom of Rome was divided into ten kingdoms; some of which were iron–like
(dictatorships and0r communist kingdoms) whereas some were like clay (democracies).
 Just as iron and clay cannot mix in the natural, likewise neither can dictatorships and democracies
mix in the political realm because they are of diametrically different natures!
 Daniel also saw "a little horn" that came out of one of the ten horns of the divided Kingdom of
Rome.

Analysis Of The Book ' The Lord ' Essay
Recall, this a battle of names; Trump versus Christ. Verse 6 says The Antichrist blasphemes (or
slanders in the NIV) the name of the Lord. I unpack this in the section titled, "What's in a Name?" If
I had to say in one phrase the focus of The Antichrist in the last days, it would be the glory of his
name – the name: Trump. He demands worship.
Notice the last part of verse six says he slanders (blasphemes) "those who live in heaven". The NIV
uses the conjunction "and": "and those who live in heaven". The NASB says, "that is, those...". Is
this a re–emphasis or a an additional group? My guess is that The Antichrist will blaspheme
anything and everything associated with heaven in order to convince the world that God's
sovereignty is just one big farce. He will call good evil and evil good. (Isaiah 5:20). It is possible
this slander will include the saints in heaven as well. Why might that be? Because many within that
company are the saints who revealed to the world the true evil nature of The Antichrist before they
were raptured to heaven. Donald Trump never forgets or forgives. Thank God these saints will be
out of his reach.
"7It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over
every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him. 8All who dwell on the earth will
worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the
book of life of the Lamb who has been slain. (Rev. 13:7–8)

Essay about Revelation
"Revelation, n. A famous book in which St. John the Divine concealed all that he knew. The
revealing is done by the commentators, who know nothing."1 The book of Revelation, the
only apocalypse among the twenty–seven books of the New Testament, has always occupied a
marginal role within the field of Biblical interpretation. Its bizarre visions of beasts, dragons,
plagues, and cataclysms have inspired poets and artists while confounding more traditionally
minded scholars for centuries. England in the early seventeenth century proved an exception to this
rule. The flowering of apocalyptic exegesis in this period among academic circles bestowed a new
respectability on the book of Revelation as a literal roadmap of church history ... Show more content

Although these later scholars cited Luther as an important figure in church history, they did not
acknowledge (or realize) any methodological debt to him; adopting a mode of interpretation
outlined by Luther, they redirected these ideas towards a scheme which was Calvinist in its hope for
worldly improvement.
The phrase "Calvinist millenarian," upon further examination, joins two sets of
seemingly incompatible ideas without explaining the origins of this odd combination. Calvin
himself expressed little interest in either history or eschatology. William M. Lamont has noticed that
like St. Augustine, Calvin "viewed the Apocalypse with detachment: it had a circumscribed,
allegorical significance, and that was all. Calvin remained wedded to a view of God as, in all
significant things, Unknowable."2 He concerned himself more with personal salvation than
with the salvation of the world, and his sparse and unsystematic views on history tended to look for
progressive improvement rather than rapid upheaval. Calvin spoke in terms of a "zeal for
daily progress" among the community, and his followers expanded his ideas to encompass the
betterment of a much larger group. "Indeed, despite Calvins Augustinian avoidance of
historically oriented eschatology," writes Robin Bruce Barnes, "the hint of
progressivism in his thought

A Modern Equivalent Of Nimrod 's Tower
The next clause says, "a god his fathers never knew". This god will accomplish what Nimrod tried
and failed to do; that others previously had just imagined. This "god" will be a newly created
wedding between the modern world's technological ingenuity and the demonic realm. The Pyramid's
Capstone is simply a modern equivalent of Nimrod's Tower. The devil has tried since the beginning
of man to put this in place. That is why you see so many men in history such as Nero and Hitler,
who are types of antichrists, and why John, the beloved wrote, "it is the last hour; and just as you
heard that Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared" (1 John 2:18). This time,
God will allow these powers to unite. Satan is the god of this worldly system and humanism is its
philosophy. Humanist mankind will unite with Satan's fallen angels and together they will do battle
with God and his "holy ones", both holy angels and redeemed mankind.
This plan goes all the way back to when the serpent seduced Eve the Garden of Eden. He questioned
what God said, putting doubts in Eve's mind saying, "Did God say...?" The serpent went on to say,
"You surely will not die! For God knows that in the day you eat from it your eyes will be opened,
and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." (Genesis 3:5). Satan in the form of the serpent
questioned God's integrity and promised enlightenment to Eve; that her eyes would be opened. This
is the lie. This is the same lie referenced in 2

Middle East Beast By Joel Richardson
Antichrist a Muslim?
There is a recent form of prophetic interpretation known as Islamic End–Time Theory. This view
was made popular from the book, Middle East Beast by Joel Richardson. The basic premise is that
the last kingdom Daniel prophesied as the ten toes of the statue in chapter two and the fourth beast
in chapter seven will be Islamic, and the Antichrist will be a Muslim and likely be seen by Muslims
as the Mahdi.
This view has definite strengths; foremost being its answer to the problem this present world faces
with radical Islamic terrorism, whose goal is to create a one–world Islamic Kingdom under Sharia
Law. As ISIS spreads its campaign of terror across the Middle East, including torture on the level of
biblical proportions, there does seem to be events that parallel things mentioned in the Bible, i.e. the
beheading of the saints.
Ever since I started studying prophecy I wondered where Islam fit into the puzzle. There are
developments that have happened in history like the discovery of America that the Bible just is not
explicit about. The same can be said about the rise of Islam. Fact is, there are certain portions of
scripture that I believe could pertain to America. Isaiah chapter 5:26–30 is an example. But caution
must be used when interpreting any passage of scripture. There is always a temptation to use
eisegesis (imposing a meaning onto a text) as opposed to exegesis (drawing meaning out of the
text). This is true for the scholar and laymen alike. The

Antichrist Nietzsche
The transvaluation of all values is a concept from the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche. Friedrich
Nietzsche was born in a small town in the Prussian province of Saxony. Ironically the philosopher
who rejected religion and coined the phrase "god is dead" was a descendant of respected clergymen.
Nietzsche's critique of religion is largely based on his critique of Christianity. He states that he
dislikes religion especially Christianity because it encourages and promotes slave morality.
Nietzsche claims that there are two types of morality, master–morality and slave–morality. Master
morality is found in the ruling class while the ruled posses the latter. Master–morality is where the
master is the judge and creator of values. A morality that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

He attacked tradition while calling for a new society and culture. Nietzsche wanted to transcend
modernity for a whole new mode of culture and society that would create stronger and more fully
developed humans. Nietzsche wrote during a period of great German economic expansion and
industrialization. This was a period in history that a lot of changes were taking place in the country
and in the world. People were also trying to get their place in society as everything around them was
changing.
Nietzsche believes that moral philosophers also call for the destruction of life. He believes that
philosophers who say people seek happiness are unwilling to answer the truth about power. Moral
philosophers call for virtues to reach happiness. Nietzsche claims that pleasure is a sensation of
power and if passions are excluded, you prevent the greatest sensations of power.
Nietzsche hopes there will be a transvaluation of values so that the Will of Power will take
prominence. It states in the text," Need I say expressly after all thus that they will be free, very free
spirits, these philosophers of the future." (pg.222) Nietzsche introduces the Will to Power in
opposition to the old Christian values of compassion. According to Nietzsche, Christians reject the
Will to Power and suppress it

A Short Note On The Giant Tower Builder
Nimrod the Giant Tower Builder When we think of typology in the Old testament, we think of types
of Christ. The sacrifice of the Passover lamb is a classic example. Passages in the New Testament
(see 1 Cor. 5:7; John 1:29; 1 Peter 1:19) verify typology as a legitimate form of biblical
interpretation. But what about passages in the Old Testament that seem to clearly indicate a "Christ–
type" that are not officially sanctioned by the New Testament writers? There are many types of
Christ not specifically mentioned in the New Testament that are clearly types of Christ. Joseph is a
classic example. Any internet search of Joseph/typology will give plenteous prolepses of Christ. The
question arises then, what of Antichrist types? Judas, Antiochus Epiphanes, Nimrod and King Herod
and are some of many examples. In the book of Esther, we have the reckless and violent Haman, a
type of Antichrist in direct conflict and bitter envy against Mordecai, a type of Christ. In this
chapter, the focus is on Nimrod. He is: A.) One of the clearer examples of Antichrist typology and
B.) Clearly a type of Trump as well. In Genesis chapter 10, it says that Nimrod became a "mighty
one" as well as "a mighty hunter before the Lord." "The ancient rabbis tell us that this statement
means that Nimrod went out from the presence of the Lord, in the sense that he turned his back upon
God and His truth, and became a 'hunter of souls'. Seeking to turn multitudes of men away from
God and unto himself." (The

The Bible Passages On The Antichrist
Revelation chapter thirteen is the most well–known of all bible passages on The Antichrist. It
contains imagery familiar to pop culture, including the Mark of the Beast and his number – 666. A
Premillennial (Futurist) commentary on the Book of Revelation is necessary for those who wish to
fully understand such imagery and symbolism. Avoid commentaries from a Historist perspective
which interpret Revelation as "already fulfilled" (called Preterism). Preterists' misunderstanding of
typology confuses past "types" of The Antichrist for the "real thing", namely, the ultimate
fulfillment yet to come. Regarding God's end–time program, such error breeds confusion. Since
most of Revelation relates to events that happen well into the future tribulation period, any
significance regarding Donald Trump must be foreseen from the present dark shadow of the coming
tribulation looming over us. "1And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore. Then I saw a beast
coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten diadems, and

The Lord of the Flies by William Golding
Simon is one of the major characters in the "Lord of the Flies" novel. Simon's character seems to
live by what is right as to the rest of the boys on the island. There are many reasons and examples in
the Lord of the Flies that have to do with Simon being compared to Jesus Christ.
One reason Simon is called the Christ figure in Lord of the Flies is that he always seems to commit
to many selfless acts just like the Christ did. Simon, he chooses to stay and help Ralph build huts
then to go play with the other boys. Ralph gave Simon a compliment by saying "Simon. He Helps.
All the rest rushed off. He's done as much as I have". The author also shows that Simon is caring
when "Simon pulled off the choicest from the endless, outstretched hands". Jesus Christ was very
well known to have been very caring and kind with children. Simon's carness and unselfishness
showed that Simon was being a Christ figure.
Another reason Simon is a Christ like figure is that he has mystical qualities like Christ. A lot of
things that Simon does are either very unusual or supernatural. Simon tells Ralph, "I just think you'll
get back alright," even though he believes that he, himself might not get off the island alive. Simon
predicts his own death; just like Jesus. Also after Jesus dies, his body magically disappears. Simon
was killed during the so called, "ritual dance" so that all the other boys will live. All the boys on the

The And Of The Final Events Of Earth 's History
There is much speculation as to who the antichrist. I know him to be an evil alliance, a deceiver, a
murder, liar, a man, or sinsister individual or any individual who denies the Person of Christ; and in
denying the Son you deny the Father. Some are saying his appearance is still in the future. Others
say he appeared long ago in the days of ancient Rome. The bible doesn't give us any specifics as
who and were the antichrist will come from.
In (Ezkeiel 21: 25–27) we read, "and thou, profane
wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when inquity shall have an end, thus saith the Lord

Analysis Of ' The Whore ' Essay
The Whore
I had shared my thoughts with a number of Christians, some of which were inclined to support
Donald Trump in the general election. Sometimes I got the question posed to me: "Well, who do we
vote for?" Obviously, people of all sorts – Christian or not – Republican or not – were frustrated at
the lack of options. I understand. I was one of them. But for a Christian who has just been told that
the candidate they're planning on voting for is the Antichrist, this takes on a whole other dimension,
not to mention frustration. People were also concerned about Hillary, and rightly so. They were left
with a choice of Armageddon or slow rot. So much is at stake – especially the Supreme Court. I
myself was in sort of an odd place. For me, the vote was cast already. I knew who was going to win.
I'd often tell people, "If you want to vote for Trump, vote for Trump. You'll be voting for the
winner." The voting thing for me wasn't much of an issue.
It's no big secret that the evangelical community played a role in Trump's success at the polls. He
had pretty decent support throughout his campaign; at least so it seemed. I want to address the
chapter in Revelation that describes the whore of Babylon – specifically – how it relates to the
religious aspects of this "woman". There are two chapters designated to this subject: Revelation 17
and 18. Chapter 18 seems to focus more on some international commercial center. I've suggested
that this may be a rebuilt Iraq that becomes a

Simon's Christ-Like Role in Lord of the Flies

  • 1. Middle East Beast By Joel Richardson There is a recent form of prophetic interpretation known as Islamic End–Time Theory. This view was made popular from the book, Middle East Beast by Joel Richardson. The basic premise is that the last kingdom Daniel prophesied as the ten toes of the statue in chapter two and the fourth beast in chapter seven is an Islamic kingdom ruled by an Islamic Antichrist, considered by Muslims as the Mahdi. This view has definite strengths; foremost, its answer to the problem this present world faces with Radical Islamic Terrorism, whose goal is to create a one–world Islamic Kingdom under Sharia Law. As ISIS spreads its campaign of terror and torture on the level of biblical proportions across the Middle East, events appear to parallel prophecies in The Bible, i.e. the beheading of the saints. Ever since I started studying prophecy I wondered where Islam fits into the puzzle. The Bible is not explicit regarding historical developments such as the discovery of America or Islam. Fact is, portions of Scripture could, in my opinion, pertain to America, e.g. Isaiah 5:26–30. But caution must be used when interpreting any passage of Scripture. There is always a temptation to use eisegesis (imposing a meaning onto a text) as opposed to exegesis (drawing meaning out of the text). This is true for the scholar and laymen alike. The meaning of any text must come from its context, not a pretext. Passages can have multiple applications and in some cases, even double fulfillment, but any giving ... • 2. The And Of The Final Events Of Earth 's History There is much speculation as to who the Antichrist. I know him to be an evil alliance, a deceiver, a murder, liar, a man, or sinister individual or any individual who denies the Person of Christ; and in denying the Son you deny the Father. Some are saying his appearance is still in the future. Others say he appeared long ago in the days of ancient Rome. The bible doesn't give us any specifics as who and where the antichrist will come from. But does indicate that he is alive today and will play a vital role in the final events of Earth's history. Many bible scholars take the position that the antichrist being a confederacy of ten nations. "The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. He will speak against the Most High and oppress His holy people and try to change the set times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time" (King James Version, Daniel. 7:24–25). There are yet others who believe the antichrist will come as a Jew claiming to be the Messiah. In (Ezkeiel 21: 25–27) we read, "and thou, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when iniquity shall have an end, thus saith the Lord God; remove the diadem, and take off the crown." At that time Israel will have a Prince, a Prince who is crowned (v.26) and a Prince whose day is said to come when "iniquity shall have an end." Now, who is this ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Essay about Religious Symbolism in "A Good Man Is Hard to... Religious Symbolism in the Grandmother and the Misfit Flannery O'Connor has long been criticized for her blatant incorporation of religious symbols into sinister, dark stories. In the short story "A Good Man Is Hard To Find," the dark and apathetic Misfit is said to portray, in an allegorical sense, a Christ–like figure. However, through the interpretation of the inversions of divine characteristics, his repulsion of Christ's very existence, and the denial of any powers beyond the observable realm, we find that the Misfit is actually representative of the Anti– Christ. Religion symbolism appears often in "A Good Man Is Hard to Find"; the first appearances of religious symbolism are presented with the speech of the grandmother. In her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This, however, is inaccurate because the Misfit is not actually a portrayal of Christ, but of the very thing Christ came to defeat – Satan. The Misfit is a symbol of the anti–Christ and is portrayed as such through the inversion of divine characteristics. As pointed by Marion Montgomery, "the devil she presents in her fiction is the devil Christ came to oppose, made articulate in a world largely given to him." In the Bible, Jesus is a surrounded by little children, whom he loves. The Misfit is bother by little children, even stating, "Watch them children, Bobby Lee," he said. "You know they make me nervous" (O'Connor 642). Michael O. Bellamy emphasizes that this "set of inversion is consistent with the Misfit's entire personality" (200). When the Misfit is called "a different breed of dog," this shows the inversion of the word God itself, and "demonology is based on inverting the sacred" (O'Connor 643, Bellamy 200). Moreover, "the Misfit is a self–imposed title," which is representative of "the figure of that ultimate misfit of Christian orthodoxy, Satan" (Montgomery 186). The emphasis on the Misfit's alienation from society is show by the symbolism of the true misfit in Christianity. The rejection of Satan by God can be reversed to say that Satan rejects God, and thus the Misfit reject religion. Throughout the story, the Misfit is constantly in denial about the existence of God, the resurrection of Jesus, and the necessity of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Analysis Of The Book Picks Up Again Below, the original transcript of the book picks up again; written with virtually zero knowledge of A.I. technology. It shows the demonic involvement with The Mark of The Beast. What if the Mark of the Beast was something super–natural? Something directly linked to satanic forces? A blend of technology wedded together with demonic possession? What if the delusion was so great that The Antichrist and the False Prophet convinced the world by their signs and wonders that humanity could become gods, and live forever simply by taking the Mark of the Beast? Are there other clues that may suggest that The Antichrist will try to pull off the greatest deception of all time? Notice: "Then the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from heaven which had fallen to the earth; and the key of the bottomless pit was given to him. 2 He opened the bottomless pit, and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit. 3 Then out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth, and power was given them, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4 They were told not to hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only the men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. 5 And they were not permitted to kill anyone, but to torment for five months; and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings a man. 6 And in those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will long ... • 5. The Bible As An Ounce Of Humor People think of the Bible as this super serious all–holy book with never an ounce of humor. Well, it is serious and holy. But there are a few sections of it that just make me laugh. An example is from the book of Acts: "God was performing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, so that handkerchiefs or aprons were even carried from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out. But also some of the Jewish exorcists, who went from place to place, attempted to name over those who had the evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, 'I adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.' Seven sons of one Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. And the evil spirit answered and said to them, 'I recognize Jesus, and I know about Paul, but who are you?' And the man, in whom was the evil spirit, leaped on them and subdued all of them and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded." (Acts 19:11–16) I get a kick out of these ridiculous so–called prophets on television "binding Satan". What a joke. Not sure if Satan has a sense of humor, but if he does, he must be laughing over statements like this. Nowhere in the Bible are we commanded to bind Satan. I've mentioned the word, Preterists, before. The word just means, "already fulfilled". They see Revelation as a book that was fulfilled at the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. This has many interpretive difficulties, one of which is the fact that the book of Revelation ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Lord Of The Flies Simon Character Analysis Before being savagely cannibalized and discarded, Simon's Christ–like caliber and presence on the island was nothing short of a wild and complex storyline. After a group of English schoolboys crash onto a mysterious island far from where they call home, which is in the midst of a turbulent world war, they are forced to fend for themselves and co–exist with no adult supervision. The intricate character of Simon in Lord of the Flies is in more ways than one a Christ–like figure. He has a unique relationship with the environment, which he shows through his practice of meditation, he acts much more pious and altruistic than his peers on the island, and in the end dies a gruesome votive death. It is safe to say that Simon is the only boy on the island that represents virtue. Simon has an enthralling hallucination in which the severed sow's head, also known as "The Lord of the Flies", talks to him and informs him that he will never be able to be free from him, for he lies within the bounds of every living person. In the Bible, "The Lord of the Flies" translates to the name Beelzebub, which means "a powerful demon in hell sometimes thought to be the devil himself." Simon displays incontestable parallels in his characteristics, actions, and death with Jesus Christ. Simon shares a surplus of qualities and elements with Christ. Essentially, Simon, like Jesus, is conscious of the opinions and emotions of other people. When Ralph becomes doubtful of their safe return home, Simon ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Dogville And Antichrist Comparison Essay 4. If we were to watch these two films and then get asked if without knowing the directors were the same, we would still see a compatible trait that these two films have. Lars von Trier has created some of the craziest and darkest films of time. Dogville and Antichrist are defiantly on Lars von Trier's crazy train. The definition of losing someone or something is definitely an imprint that Lars von Trier makes perfectly clear. Grace Margaret Mulligan from Dogville loses her entire life to a god–forsaken town, and both characters from Antichrist lose their child to a very powerful entity. Loss, it the subject to what forms the entire two films. Loss creates grief for Mulligan, and for the two characters in film, their losses builds the character ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. The End Of The Antichrist When Jesus opens the seventh seal, there is silence in heaven for what is the space of a half an hour as it marks the prophetic judgment of God. Within the Heavens, this emblematic silence is a revelation of the glory, singing around the globe as it establishes a new evolution of something unbelievable. During the last stage, the four horsemen dispense over the earth a demonic pleasure that identifies time not in an earth dimension, but in the spirit realm beyond earth's physical boundaries. Though the earth's kingdoms of World War II cannot possibly grasp the mind of God, they in their mortal minds try to seek to convert the nations to the change associating God's schedule. When the warfare starts in the late 1930s, the world 's population is about 2 billion. In less than a decade, the war results in 80 million deaths killing off nearly 4 percent of the population. According to scripture, "the LORD looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men; from His dwelling place, He looks out on all the inhabitants of the earth, He who fashions the hearts of them all, He who understands all their works" (Psalm 33:13–15). All the motions and operations of the souls of men, which no mortals know but themselves, God knows better than they do. The Antichrist is planning a coup to overthrow the salvation of Jesus Christ in the life of the Christians. There is a lot of news flying on the media as regards the identity of Antichrist. Some said it is Pope Francis, while some versions said President Obama is the Antichrist. Hmm! The next breaking news on Antichrist might be one of my uncles in the Government... Let's read the remark of Jesus to the Pharisees who were the first set of antichrist in the book of John chapter 8 verses 44: "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it." The antichrist intensified their efforts when the soldiers watching the tomb of Jesus were bribed, and compelled to spread the lies that Jesus' corpse was stolen. The book of Mathew chapter 28 verse 12 to 15 says: "When they had assembled with the elders and consulted together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers, saying, "Tell them, 'His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we slept.' So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day." • 10. The Second Coming By W. B. Yeats "The Second Coming" by W. B. Yeats, was written in 1919 following World War I and was to present the idea that he thought that the apocalypse as presented in the Book of Revelation from the Bible was about to begin. The poem does not mention the second coming of Christ but rather focuses on the coming of the antichrist, meaning Yeats could only see despair, hopelessness, and chaos in the world. These sentiments of Yeats and others are due to war damages, collapsing economies, and the coming of the Great Depression and the Irish civil war. The word choice, meter, persona, subject, and lack of mention of Christ all collectively contribute to reflecting Yeats' sentiments in the poem. Several lines in the poem support this mentality of despair and chaos. "Turning and turning in the widening gyre" refers to the worsening state of society with the collapse of democratic governments and economies. (1) The second line, "The falcon cannot hear the falconer" means that any sense of hierarchy and authority has been lost. The best people don't have the conviction to combat the growing evil and the worst, the sinners, are full of passionate intensity meaning the world is filled with those who wish to do evil. (7–8) These lines emphasize the corruption that the world is falling into. The selection of adjectives and nouns used in the poem carry a negative connotation reflecting the negatives thoughts of the state of the world. • 11. Nero as the Antichrist Essay Nero as the Antichrist Nero was a mixture of megalomania, evil, and cruelty according to Roman historians as well as Jews and Christians. His sin of matricide and his claims of deity were major elements in his infamous reputation. Though modern Historians have tried to whitewash Nero and say that certain groups in Rome and other parts of the empire supported him, his name has become a synonym for tyrant and, for many, Antichrist. Nero was born in AD 37 on December 15 to Agrippina and Gnaeus. Nero's father was said to have run his chariot over a boy deliberately and to have killed one of his freedman for drinking less than he was ordered. Agrippina was without a doubt the most successfully ambitious mother in history. She would ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Impostors pretending to be the returning Nero appeared in sixty–nine and in eighty AD. In the year eighty – eight AD, a more serious pretender surfaced in Parthia and, according to the Roman historians, almost succeeded in bringing about a war between these ancient superpowers. We know that the idea of a returning Nero affected Jewish thought of the first and second centuries primarily through his appearance in the Sibylline oracles. In book five written in Egypt around one – hundred AD and bitterly anti – Roman, makes a full presentation of Nero as the apocalyptic opponent of the messiah. No less than five passages contain an extensive development of the story of the evil emperor. Aspects of his life and deeds are prophetically recounted. He is described as having disappeared but also as becoming destructive again when he returns declaring himself equal to God. A final passage in Book five also approaches the Antichrist legend by contrasting the action of the returning Nero as the agent of final apocalyptic conflict. The belief that Antichrist – Nero is the devil incarnate is one of the two major forms of the Christian use of the stories about Nero. Although this form would be rejected by the mainstream tradition, it would have a number of adherents in later centuries. The second Christian use of the Nero legend, one that found its center in contrasting resurrections ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. Brief History Of Revelations : Revelation Was The Last... Brief History of Revelations The book of Revelations is the last book of the New Testament consisting of only 22 verses and is prophetic in nature: Revelation 19 v.10 declares, "for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophe– cy"; contains descriptions of the final conflict between God and Satan as well as the signs (seven) that reveals the end of the world; attributed to Saint John the Apostle via an angel sent by God; "I was in the spirit on the Lord 's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet" (Rev. 1.11). According to Biblica the Book of Revelation was written during when Christians were entering two periods of persecution in the Roman Empire. The latter part of Nero's reign (a.d. 54–68) and the latter part of Domitian's reign (81–96 A.D ) The Number Seven is used several times in the Revelations: There are: seven churches (1:4,11), seven spirits (1:4), seven golden lampstands (1:12), seven stars (1:16), seven seals (5:1), seven horns and seven eyes (5:6), seven trumpets (8:2), seven thunders (10:3), seven signs (12:1,3; 13:13– 14; 15:1; 16:14; 19:20), seven crowns (12:3), seven plagues (15:6), seven golden bowls (15:7), seven hills (17:9) and seven kings (17:10), as well as other sevens. • 13. Simon As A Christ Figure In William Golding's Lord Of The... In the novel Lord of The Flies, William Golding portrayed Simon as a Christ–figure. Simon and Jesus led parallel lives. Simon's appearance seemed to resemble that of Jesus Christ's. Simon picked fruit from the tree to feed the littluns. He also practiced deep meditation away from the other children. Simon received messages from the Lord of The Flies while meditating. Simon also tried to illuminate the children about the myth of "the beast" and dies a horrific death at the hands of the people he loved. He received an almost angelic burial. His death marks the completion of the destruction of the island's civilization. All of these events allude to Jesus's life events, according to the scriptures in the Bible. Simon's appearance seemed to resemble that of Jesus Christ's. Simon is described as having no external beauty to speak of. "He was a small, skinny boy, his chin pointed..." (Golding 55). While Jesus is also described as non good looker himself. "...there is no beauty that we should desire him." (Isaiah 53:2). In the novel, Simon picked fruit for the littluns, when they could not reach it. "Simon found for them the fruit they could not reach." (Golding 56). In the Bible, Jesus took 5 loaves of bread and looking up at the heaven he fed the crowd of people. • 14. Antichrist Black Case Incident: A young woman named Karen has (supposedly) decided to take her life into her own hands. An Unnamed witness has said to see her in town, looking possessed. Another witness remarks that they have seen her walking around, wearing her red shoes, the devil's official colour of choice. Many suspect her of straying from the church in order to carry out the Antichrist's dirty work. Detail of events: Karen (prime suspect) is distancing herself from the virtuousness of the Christian church; many witnesses have seen her act strangely in public while wearing those red shoes. The obvious assumption here is that she is colluding with the devil. Actions taken: The creation of an evidence board allows for an objective and detailed look at Karen's character. Black is foundational, representing the main relationships she has with her red shoes, a red–bearded soldier, adoptive mother, and the church. White marks the subliminal connections that we think are significant in her life; these words implicitly shed some light on the issues that affect her in this case. Lastly, the red invokes the larger themes at play, like how women are conditioned to think within the realms of a patriarchal narrative and through interpreting the meaning of our own bodies and desires, women might reframe the social control that Christian institution has held over issues of personal desires, reproductive choice and self–expression (Anderson 538). He is shown to have all the qualities Christ has: intelligence, determination, and resiliance. Simon also is portrayed like Christ physically, he is skinny and not a strong person. Simon was very calm, kind, and he enjoyed being alone when ever he could. Simon was made fun of by the other kids because of how he acted and the things he said. (page 128) This shows that he knows the beast isn't real and he shows no fear of the unknown. Christ called people to do things they thought impossible just as Simon did here. Many people said that the things Jesus wanted them to do were impossible, and here whne Simon said they should do something they said that since the three strongest boys couldn't do it no one could. • 16. Character Essay of Simon The appearance of Simon in the novel The Lord of the Flies is of great significance and is substantial for the development of the story because he made lots of points in the story. First of all, it is important to state that he sent simple, yet deep messages throughout the novel, with morals behind them. Religiously speaking, Simon can be identified as the Christ–figure in the story. Simon also had a very specific role in the novel in being the character in contact with nature. Simon's significance in the story is obvious, and one way to deduce this is by identifying his messages. Throughout the story, Simon gave a variety of advice that did not seem important at the moment, but turned out to be substantial as time went by. Simon ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Beelzebub also tempted Simon and gave him a forecast of what would happen. Like Jesus, Simon knows he has to die to allow the tribe to subsist. The facts that everybody was guilty, and that no one did anything to bring him back to life link him to Christ in a greater proportion. After Simon's death, the tribe started to believe in him, especially Ralph, noticing Simon was right and he tried to tell them the truth about the Beast remembering that it was inside all of them; similar to what occurred with Jesus and his apostles. An even more compelling similarity between Jesus and Simon is that "Jesus then leads three of his disciples to a very high mountain, where he undergoes the Transfiguration from Jesus to the Christ figure, the true Son of God. He then comes down from the mountain and begins his priestly ministry" (Racicot). Like Jesus, Simon goes out to the woods and meditates, coming back with more clear answers and perspective of things. On one occasion, Simon went up to the mountain and talked with the Lord of the Flies, having a similar situation to the one Jesus had when he was in the desert meditating. Simon's relation to religion is evident, and his role was even clearer. Simon had a specific mission in the novel: the opportunity to talk to the beast and receive answers, very similar to revelations. • 17. Simon As A Christ Figure Analysis The Christ Figure A Christ figure could be interpreted as an individual that is a manifestation or delegation of Jesus Christ. It is apparent to distinguish a Christ–like human from someone of common characteristics by their alluring behavior. For instance, one could define this feature using appearance, personality, and attitude. The Lord of the Flies is a novel that opens up with a plane departing a group of schoolboys from Britain that had been shot down over a desolate island. Britain had been in the depths of a war and these school kids go to extreme in means of survival. Initially, the boys relished the idea of not having any adults with them until they had realized they could not possibly live without them for long. Simon, one of the schoolboys on the island, was introduced as a spiritual, kind–hearted kid.Acknowledging he possess these components, Simon appears detached from the rest of the boys. This essay will demonstrate how the novel portrays Simon as a "Christ Figure" by the way he performs on the island, such as his seclusion and peaceful nature, his appearance, his actions towards the boys, and his death. Simon primarily is isolated from all that is occurring on the island. • 18. Reflection Of The Book Of Revelation The book of Revelation opens with an astonishing glimpse of future events that Jesus revealed to John. God gave Jesus the revelation, and Jesus sent the revelation to His servant John by an angel. In this opening scene of Revelation, John heard a mighty voice behind him speaking to him. When he turned to see who was speaking he saw a graphic view of seven candlesticks with a man standing amid them. The display of seven candlesticks and the One in the middle of them was significant to the totality of the vision that John received to be written down for an everlasting record of the things that must certainly come to pass for all believers. John, the servant of Jesus Christ, had been exiled on the Isle of Patmos because of his witness and testimony of the word of God, and because of his all–embracing commitment to Jesus. He proclaimed that he was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day when he heard a mighty, powerful voice speaking behind him. Upon hearing the voice, he immediately gave heed to the direction of the voice and saw seven candlesticks and the One standing in the midst of them. The significance of the candlesticks was that they were symbolic of the seven churches that were in Asia. The Lord assigned John the task of writing to the seven churches and reporting the revelation to them that was divulged to him by Jesus. Jesus analyzed each of the churches and revealed to John a status report of His findings. The very candid reports, whether good or bad, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like a lion." Mounce points out, along with other commentators, that the Beast out of the Sea combines characteristics of the four beasts in Daniel 7 (Mounce 240). On one hand, some believe that the Book of Revelation was the message from Jesus Christ's which was sent directly to Christians of the first century to comfort them in a time of conflict and struggle. On the other hand, some comprehend the book of Revelation in another way–They argue that the Revelation was not written only for Christians in first century, and the original purpose was not to console their pain. It's also important to explore these different approaches to interpret the Revelation. The first kind of view which I hold is called the Preterist view. And the other view which considers Revelation to be fulfilled in past history is called the Historicist view. Historicists would "see Revelation as predicting the major movements of Christian history, most of them have been fulfilled up to the time of the commentator." According to this description, the historicist interpreters regard the purpose of the Book of Revelation as predicting a part of the future (which in this case means after the1st century). Different commentators in different time interpreted the Book of Revelation in different ways, but all of them only considered the history before the time when they studied it. But if Jesus Christ was to show the future, why did he just show a part of it rather than the whole Christian history? To answer this question, a new school called the futurist view emerged. If he spends two terms in office before he enters the world stage, that will make him nearing 80 years of age by the time he becomes the world leader. Whether the rapture happens on his first day in office or after two terms of his presidency, Trump may be a bit too aged to fulfill such an arduous role as described in the Bible. This too was an obstacle for me, preventing me from connecting the dots; that is until I thought about it a bit more deeply. As mentioned previously, the meaning of Antichrist is twofold: 1.) to be against Christ 2.) to be in place of Christ. Specifically, everything that is genuine about the Antichrist is fully against Christ, and much of what appears like Christ will be an illusion with a goal of supplanting Christ. He will delude the world into thinking that he is the Messiah. His imitations of Christ will be as inauthentic as Trump's "Made in China" luxury ties. All that glitters is NOT gold. William Goldings "Lord of the flies", portrays a group of boys who find themselves stranded on a desert island in a deep battle between civilisation and primitive savagery. One of the boys portrayed, Simon, a boy who is kind and physically fragile expresses a deeper knowledge of the problems on the island that the other boys are unaware of. These may indicate that Simon, though other characters may be thought of as "good" and kind, such as Piggy or Ralph, Simon shows no flaws at all. Throughout the beginning of Tamburlaine's rise, rival kings and emperors consistently referred to him and his men in animalistic terminology, for example calling Tamburlaine savage or incivil (p.4), or, doubly implying that he is either deity or beast, noting that he "was never sprung of human race" (p.24), and that his troops "lie in ambush waiting for a prey." (p.17) The imagery of animalism in reference to Tamburlaine is not only an insult to his character, but also a hint at his low birth. While Tamburlaine may never directly hear these insults, it is almost as if he perceives them as he turns around and punishes formerly mighty kings as animals once he has gained authority. Marlowe is reinforcing Tamburlaine comparison to a beast in the latter's abuses of former royalty. Though, like all things Tamburlaine does, he takes fighting like a beast to the extreme. I unpack this in the section titled, "What's in a Name?" If I had to say in one phrase the focus of The Antichrist in the last days, it would be the glory of his name – the name: Trump. He demands worship. Notice the last part of verse six says he slanders (blasphemes) "those who live in heaven". The NIV uses the conjunction "and": "and those who live in heaven". The NASB says, "that is, those...". Is this a re–emphasis or a an additional group? My guess is that The Antichrist will blaspheme anything and everything associated with heaven in order to convince the world that God's sovereignty is just one big farce. He will call good evil and evil good. (Isaiah 5:20). It is possible this slander will include the saints in heaven as well. Why might that be? Its bizarre visions of beasts, dragons, plagues, and cataclysms have inspired poets and artists while confounding more traditionally minded scholars for centuries. Calvin himself expressed little interest in either history or eschatology. William M. Calvin remained wedded to a view of God as, in all significant things, Unknowable."2 He concerned himself more with personal salvation than with the salvation of the world, and his sparse and unsystematic views on history tended to look for progressive improvement rather than rapid upheaval. Calvin spoke in terms of a "zeal for daily progress" among the community, and his followers expanded his ideas to encompass the betterment of a much larger group. • 32. Middle East Beast By Joel Richardson Antichrist a Muslim? There is a recent form of prophetic interpretation known as Islamic End–Time Theory. This view was made popular from the book, Middle East Beast by Joel Richardson. The basic premise is that the last kingdom Daniel prophesied as the ten toes of the statue in chapter two and the fourth beast in chapter seven will be Islamic, and the Antichrist will be a Muslim and likely be seen by Muslims as the Mahdi. This view has definite strengths; foremost being its answer to the problem this present world faces with radical Islamic terrorism, whose goal is to create a one–world Islamic Kingdom under Sharia Law. As ISIS spreads its campaign of terror across the Middle East, including torture on the level of biblical proportions, there does seem to be events that parallel things mentioned in the Bible, i.e. the beheading of the saints. Ever since I started studying prophecy I wondered where Islam fit into the puzzle. There are developments that have happened in history like the discovery of America that the Bible just is not explicit about. The same can be said about the rise of Islam. Fact is, there are certain portions of scripture that I believe could pertain to America. Isaiah chapter 5:26–30 is an example. But caution must be used when interpreting any passage of scripture. There is always a temptation to use eisegesis (imposing a meaning onto a text) as opposed to exegesis (drawing meaning out of the text). This is true for the scholar and laymen alike. The ... • 33. Antichrist Nietzsche The transvaluation of all values is a concept from the philosophy of Friedrich Nietzsche. Friedrich Nietzsche was born in a small town in the Prussian province of Saxony. Ironically the philosopher who rejected religion and coined the phrase "god is dead" was a descendant of respected clergymen. Nietzsche's critique of religion is largely based on his critique of Christianity. He states that he dislikes religion especially Christianity because it encourages and promotes slave morality. Nietzsche claims that there are two types of morality, master–morality and slave–morality. Master morality is found in the ruling class while the ruled posses the latter. Master–morality is where the master is the judge and creator of values. A morality that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He attacked tradition while calling for a new society and culture. Nietzsche wanted to transcend modernity for a whole new mode of culture and society that would create stronger and more fully developed humans. Nietzsche wrote during a period of great German economic expansion and industrialization. This was a period in history that a lot of changes were taking place in the country and in the world. People were also trying to get their place in society as everything around them was changing. Nietzsche believes that moral philosophers also call for the destruction of life. He believes that philosophers who say people seek happiness are unwilling to answer the truth about power. Moral philosophers call for virtues to reach happiness. Nietzsche claims that pleasure is a sensation of power and if passions are excluded, you prevent the greatest sensations of power. Nietzsche hopes there will be a transvaluation of values so that the Will of Power will take prominence. It states in the text," Need I say expressly after all thus that they will be free, very free spirits, these philosophers of the future." (pg.222) Nietzsche introduces the Will to Power in opposition to the old Christian values of compassion. According to Nietzsche, Christians reject the Will to Power and suppress it ... • 35. A Short Note On The Giant Tower Builder Nimrod the Giant Tower Builder When we think of typology in the Old testament, we think of types of Christ. The sacrifice of the Passover lamb is a classic example. Passages in the New Testament (see 1 Cor. 5:7; John 1:29; 1 Peter 1:19) verify typology as a legitimate form of biblical interpretation. But what about passages in the Old Testament that seem to clearly indicate a "Christ– type" that are not officially sanctioned by the New Testament writers? There are many types of Christ not specifically mentioned in the New Testament that are clearly types of Christ. Joseph is a classic example. Any internet search of Joseph/typology will give plenteous prolepses of Christ. The question arises then, what of Antichrist types? Judas, Antiochus Epiphanes, Nimrod and King Herod and are some of many examples. In the book of Esther, we have the reckless and violent Haman, a type of Antichrist in direct conflict and bitter envy against Mordecai, a type of Christ. In this chapter, the focus is on Nimrod. He is: A.) One of the clearer examples of Antichrist typology and B.) Clearly a type of Trump as well. In Genesis chapter 10, it says that Nimrod became a "mighty one" as well as "a mighty hunter before the Lord." "The ancient rabbis tell us that this statement means that Nimrod went out from the presence of the Lord, in the sense that he turned his back upon God and His truth, and became a 'hunter of souls'. Seeking to turn multitudes of men away from God and unto himself." (The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. The Bible Passages On The Antichrist Revelation chapter thirteen is the most well–known of all bible passages on The Antichrist. It contains imagery familiar to pop culture, including the Mark of the Beast and his number – 666. A Premillennial (Futurist) commentary on the Book of Revelation is necessary for those who wish to fully understand such imagery and symbolism. Avoid commentaries from a Historist perspective which interpret Revelation as "already fulfilled" (called Preterism). Preterists' misunderstanding of typology confuses past "types" of The Antichrist for the "real thing", namely, the ultimate fulfillment yet to come. Regarding God's end–time program, such error breeds confusion. Since most of Revelation relates to events that happen well into the future tribulation period, any significance regarding Donald Trump must be foreseen from the present dark shadow of the coming tribulation looming over us. "1And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore. Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous names. 2And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority. (Rev. 13:1–2) In verse one, The dragon (Satan), pictured standing on the seashore, appears, as if, to beckon The Beast – The Antichrist and his kingdom – out of the sea. • 37. The Lord of the Flies by William Golding Simon is one of the major characters in the "Lord of the Flies" novel. Simon's character seems to live by what is right as to the rest of the boys on the island. There are many reasons and examples in the Lord of the Flies that have to do with Simon being compared to Jesus Christ. One reason Simon is called the Christ figure in Lord of the Flies is that he always seems to commit to many selfless acts just like the Christ did. Simon, he chooses to stay and help Ralph build huts then to go play with the other boys. Ralph gave Simon a compliment by saying "Simon. He Helps. All the rest rushed off. He's done as much as I have". The author also shows that Simon is caring when "Simon pulled off the choicest from the endless, outstretched hands". Jesus Christ was very well known to have been very caring and kind with children. Simon's carness and unselfishness showed that Simon was being a Christ figure. Another reason Simon is a Christ like figure is that he has mystical qualities like Christ. A lot of things that Simon does are either very unusual or supernatural. Simon tells Ralph, "I just think you'll get back alright," even though he believes that he, himself might not get off the island alive. Simon predicts his own death; just like Jesus. Also after Jesus dies, his body magically disappears. Simon was killed during the so called, "ritual dance" so that all the other boys will live. All the boys on the island killed Simon, but many of them were told that it wasn't really ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 38. Book Of Persecution Research Paper HOLY SPIRIT: "If one accepts the idea that the Book of Revelation is a book of prophecy, and that it includes future prophecy for Planet Earth, then our text verses have some very important meanings. On this basis, there will be a future time on Planet Earth when there will be a WORLD ECONOMIC RULER by the name of ANTICHRIST. The coming world economic ruler will demand that the people on Planet Earth worship him as god. Those who do not worship him in this manner will be persecuted and martyred. The spirit light beings of the Born Again Christians who will be martyred will go to Heaven like bolts of lightning. They will be at complete rest in Heaven. Even Born Again Christians who die before the time of Antichrist will all suffer persecution, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This is a truth that applies to present day Born Again Christians. You are always happiest when doing the purpose of Our Father, even if it causes you to be persecuted at times." TEXT VERSE 3 – HOLY SPIRIT: "Persecution always causes people to be weary, whether it is present day Born Again Christians or those who refuse to worship Antichrist in the future. When a Born Again Christian dies the weariness is all gone, and that one is in complete rest. This does not mean that the Saints in Heaven are not active, only that they will experience rest. You human beings living on Planet Earth created in the image of Our Father have periods of activity and rest. This pattern will continue in Heaven. "Before the future time of Antichrist, there will be times of persecution for Born Again Christians, and these times of persecution will be followed by times of rest. Our Father wants Born Again Christians to be aware of this pattern. Those who keep on doing the purpose of Our Father can have the same happiness during times of persecution that they have during times of rest. This is part of the meaning of the joy of ... • 39. The And Of The Final Events Of Earth 's History There is much speculation as to who the antichrist. I know him to be an evil alliance, a deceiver, a murder, liar, a man, or sinsister individual or any individual who denies the Person of Christ; and in denying the Son you deny the Father. Some are saying his appearance is still in the future. Others say he appeared long ago in the days of ancient Rome. The bible doesn't give us any specifics as who and were the antichrist will come from. In (Ezkeiel 21: 25–27) we read, "and thou, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when inquity shall have an end, thus saith the Lord God; remove the diadem and take off the crown." At that time Isarel will have a Prince, a Prince who is crowned (v.26) and a Prince whose day is said to come when "iniquity shall have an end." Now, who is this Prince? ... • 40. Analysis Of ' The Whore ' Essay The Whore I had shared my thoughts with a number of Christians, some of which were inclined to support Donald Trump in the general election. Sometimes I got the question posed to me: "Well, who do we vote for?" Obviously, people of all sorts – Christian or not – Republican or not – were frustrated at the lack of options. I understand. I was one of them. But for a Christian who has just been told that the candidate they're planning on voting for is the Antichrist, this takes on a whole other dimension, not to mention frustration. People were also concerned about Hillary, and rightly so. They were left with a choice of Armageddon or slow rot. So much is at stake – especially the Supreme Court. I myself was in sort of an odd place. For me, the vote was cast already. I knew who was going to win. I'd often tell people, "If you want to vote for Trump, vote for Trump. You'll be voting for the winner." The voting thing for me wasn't much of an issue. It's no big secret that the evangelical community played a role in Trump's success at the polls. He had pretty decent support throughout his campaign; at least so it seemed. I want to address the chapter in Revelation that describes the whore of Babylon – specifically – how it relates to the religious aspects of this "woman". There are two chapters designated to this subject: Revelation 17 and 18. Chapter 18 seems to focus more on some international commercial center. I've suggested that this may be a rebuilt Iraq that becomes a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
