Project Title: Curator’s Handbook
Client: Cricket New South Wales
Project Description
Cricket NSW commissioned ISFM to assist in the devel-
opment of a handbook which could be used by curator’s,
groundsmen and their assistants in the preparation and
maintenance of playing fields and wickets in order to
meet the associations overall vision;
“developing quality standard playing and training
facilities to produce the best quality players”.
The handbook titled, ‘a recommended approach to the
management of turf wickets and outfields’ is used as both
a reference and training manual and addresses:
− Field and pitch construction, prepa-
ration and maintenance
− Pitch and outfield markings
− Fertiliser guidelines
