2. Introduction
• My created artist will be called Matthew English. The music he sings will be
folk pop/rock/blues exactly like artists such as George Ezra Hozier or
Bands like Kaleo. My task is to plan and produce a 2 Diget packs and a
poster for my created artists new album.
4. Target Audience
• My artists target audience will be 16-25 year olds in education as like George
Ezra his music will be relaxing. the gender focus will be in the middle his
tone of voice is not seductive ( its between JJ’s voice from Kaleo and
Georges) and he is not your harry styles figure. His appearance will still be
quite attractive as he is not trying to be attractive. The focus of his music will
be to present good music not to idealise himself as a celebrity like your
average music star. To show this he will be dressed like JJ in the picture (top
right)
5. Font Research
All three artists fonts shown above are similar in the fact they all have a black
coloured font and that Kaleos and George Ezra's fonts are sans serif and
simplistic which is a common code for folk music. Florence and the machine
however is serif and much more creative which is more of a pop code. For my
Album cover im going to go very simplistic like George Ezra and follow a
more folk approach.
