Council Departments throughout the Midlands area, Lincoln & Bilbao Spain.
Currently Design drafting using 3D Modelling of Structural & Pipework for a Multi-Million
Pound Project based at Southampton Docks for Southern Water Authority.

Employed as a Pipe Work Design Draftsman, Using P & I.D. to produce Conceptual Design
drawings of project work for chemical process plants, Heptane Recovery Plants, Methanol
Recovery Plant, industrial scale Bio Diesel Plant. Drawing from conception to completion in
3D to ascertain layout of plant equipment, pipe work & steelwork of individual items,
transferring all too 2D fabrication & site installation drawings, or 2D to 3D

The role was to secure enquires for Structural or Pipe work, Tendering & submitting direct
to client.
Upon receipt & acceptance of orders, Contract review order for accuracy to tender. Prepare
Programme of works using Microsoft Project. Procure all Materials, plant hire, and crane
hire, consumable purchase, set up of site establishment, Crane Plot Plans, safety & risk
assessments, and Method statements. Detailing & producing shop Fabrication & installation
drawings. Project Manage from start to completion.
Revising & formulating additional works, negotiating direct to the client.
Full involvement with client engineers & designers with continues progress meetings for
every contract.
I was responsible for all the contract orders I had received, from conception to completion,
reporting directly to the Engineering Director (The Owner)
As the company did not originally have any drawing facilities or capabilities, at first I used
my own software, but as the order book grew the company purchased equipment &
employed additional staff to work under my supervision to assist where & when required.
During this period I had estimated & secured contracts ranging from 25k up to & including
1.25 million, to a total company value over the period in excess of 3.5 million
(Where load or stress calculation either structural or pipe work were required, these would
be performed by a Design House External Contractor, with myself directly in permanent

companies. Obtaining quotations, to enable issue of site instruction.
