- 7. Plot In 2006, Jason and Kelsey Briggs brutally abused and murdered their twelve year old daughter, Skyla. Convinced they had successfully escaped without notice, six years later they would pay the price. Skyla returns in seek of revenge of the acts her parents performed within the last few years of her deprived childhood. She immediately begins to play mind games, torturing her parents just as they had with her until the point of anguish.

Week three : Begin and finish editing trailer. Week four : Design website and create using Adobe Photoshop. Week six : Finish film posters and edit 'image gallery' images ( if needed ) Week seven : Start creating website. Week eight : Finish website. Week nine & ten : Finish all paperwork and tweaks to website ( if needed ).

- My concept for my final major project is to design a film website in the genre of horror. Included in this website will be a 2 minute theatrical trailer for the fictional film in which the website is based. The trailer will be placed on its own page which will also be the home page. The website ill include three other pages.. The 'About' page will have a detailed description of the movie storyline so that viewers can fully understand the plot. Another page will be the 'image gallery' page this will include a gallery of images such as behind the scenes, characters and locations included within the film. The last page will be 'posters and desktop wallpapers' and this page will include various advertisement posters and desktop backgrounds available for the audience to save and use as a wallpaper on their personal computer.
- As research I gave out 15 surveys to friends and family. 9 males and 7 females varying in ages 12 to 21 plus asking if they enjoyed watching horror movies and what genre of horror they preferred, these are the results.
- 11 out of 15 people enjoy watching horror movies whereas 4 out of 15 people don’t. 1 out of 15 people prefer ‘classic’ horror. 7 out of 15 people prefer ‘paranormal’ 4 out of 15 people prefer ‘thriller’ horror And 3 out of 15 people prefer ‘comedy’ horror.
- Having read books such as the case of Fred and Rose West and the crimes of josef fritzl and also being a fan of horror I was inspired to create my final major project based upon these particular genres. Although child abuse has a very negative reaction, I wanted to show that it is a very serious subject and that anyone who commits such a crime, it will always come back to haunt them. Once I had the idea of making a horror film website, I researched some recent horror websites to find popular styles and what types of content to include. The general outcome was to use dull and dark shades of colour and some websites included images related to the film as part of the background or theme. Typically, the film trailer was presented as or on the home page and other pages included, ‘About’ having a paragraph or two explaining the storyline. Another page that was common within the websites was ‘Image gallery’ I will include these pages on my own design.

- These are some of the problems that could occur during the process of creating my trailer and website. Incase of these problems I have made contingency plans. If I have any problems with creating or editing my trailer I will make an animated banner for the homepage using Adobe Flash. If I have problems creating my website I will create an interactive DVD with an image gallery, film storyline and advertisement posters.
- To make my trailer and website, I will require... A mac computer with access to Final Cut Pro for week three to edit my trailer. In week four, five and six I will require a computer with Adobe Photoshop to create and edit posters and desktop wallpapers and for week seven I will need access to a mac computer that has both Adobe flash and Dreamweaver. I will be using my own camera to film my trailer.
- For the filming of the trailer I will be using my brother's house and car as it is very accessible and is the perfect look and size for the scenes I will be recording. Any other location used will be used as a cut away Locations include...

- Actors I will be using are my brother, sister – in – law and niece as they are very reliable and are suited to the parts of the main characters. Costumes will be the actors own clothing as the film is set in modern day and will not effect time and costs.
