THIRTYSECOND SUNDAY OF THE YEAR (12-11-2017)
NOTICES FOR THE WEEK
1. The Bible Quest26 will be held today/tomorrowafter 9.30am mass. As usual please occupy four
classrooms, one participanton each desk.
2. PYC meeting will be held today/tomorrow, 12th November after the 9.30 am mass in the A V Room.
3. Diwali Melava get-together for Eco Kids will be held today/tomorrow from 3 pm atour AV hall. Diwali
Melava includes prizedistribution for various eco kids activities and overall performance ofeco kids
groups. The programme will start at sharp 3pm. Those who comelate will get5 penalty points per kid for
their group. Further details have been already senton the parish WhatsApp group.
4. A formation programme for Eucharistic Ministers organisedby Bishop Barthol Baretto will be held on
coming Saturday,18th November from 10 to 12 am atMountCarmel church,Bandra. Enlistyour names
with Gloria or Michael coordinators.
5. Children’s’ day will be celebrated on coming Sunday,19th Nov for Sunday School students after 8.15am
mass in AV hall. Children please give yournames today/tomorrowto your catechist.
6. On coming Sunday after the Children’s’ day in the A.V. hall, Sunday school students will enactthe faith
Miracles from the bible after the 9.30 am Mass. Parishioners arerequested to be present in the church hall
for these faith miracle enactments and motivate and encourageour children.
7. The Holy Father has declared coming Sunday, the 19th November 2017as “World Day ofthe Poor”. The
archdiocese ofBombay is celebrating this endevourby launching the ACTS project, activity called to serve.
You can actively participate by picking a donation bag from the parishoffice. You will be informed in the
WhatsApp group when to collect the bag. For further details refer to the notice board.
8. The Family Cell ofour parish will be organizinga Spiritual outing for married couples to Karjat on 25th and
26thNovember.The charges for this is Rs 800/- per couple. This is only for ten couples on first come first
serve basis. Enlist with Fr Henry.
9. The Christ the King feast will be held on the following Sunday, 26th November. Like every year, the
language wise adoration timingswill be - English from 10.30 to 11.30, Konkani – 11.30 to 12.30 and Tamil
12.30 to 1.30. The Blessed Sacramentwill be kept exposed till 5 pm. Families and individuals may come
and spend time in adoration till 5 pm. At 5 to 5.30 there will be a common adoration followed by Konkani
Mass.
10. The Diocesan Youth Centre is organizing Youthsav 2017 on 3rd December 2017, 3.30 pm onwards at St
John the Evangelist Church, Marol. For more details, see the notice board.
11. Bishop Domnic Savio Fernandes will be coming to our parish on a pastoral visitation on the following week,
Wednesday, 22nd Nov. His programme will be announced on coming Sunday.
12. The Blessed Sacramenthas been shifted in the new newly renovated adoration chapel.You can start
praying in the chapel. As some tiling work is still pending, the chapel will be officially inaugurated and
blessed by Bishop Domnic Savio on 22nd November when he comesfor pastoral visitation to our parish.
13. Perhaps you have readin the newspapers aboutthe recentHigh Courtverdictaboutof the Aarey colony
graveyard. The High courthas postponed this case for tomorrow, Monday, 13th Nov. at10.30 am. The
cemetery committee has asked a big number of people to attend this hearing to showour supportfor this
genuine cause. To make itconvenientfor our parishioners to attend this courthearing. A bus has been
arranged for you to make itconvenient to attend. It is free. Those parishionerswho are interested to
attend, please enlistyour names with Cynthia tomorrow/today after 8.15 and 9.30 mass in the church
compound. Only 50 peopleon firstcome firstserve basis can enlistas there are limited seats.
14. Congratulations and thanks to our parishioners for standing united during the silentprotestmarch of
today/yesterday. It shows the loyalty of our parishioners, parents and students for the Infant Jesus school
where they studied, and the church where they are spiritually nourished. Congratulations and thanks also
to Cynthia, Jerome andteam for coordinating this project, and donea lotof running about. Special thanks
to Watchdog Foundation and other NGOsfor taking the trouble to organise this silentprotest which
conveyed a strong message. We will pray that Infant Jesus may protectour church and school safe and
sound for the years to come.
15. Last Sunday collections amounted to Rs _____________. Thank you for your generosity.
16. Priests and sisters family visitation on coming Wednesday, 8th Nov. will be SCCs 9 and 13. Your PPC
memberwill give you further details.
17. (9.15 mass only) Today’s liturgy is animated by SCC 2. Coming Sunday liturgy will be SCC 3.
18. (8.15 mass)Nowwe will have the prize distribution for bq and eco kids and altar servers.

PRIZE DISTRIBUTION
BIBLE QUEST - FIRST TERM 2017-18, TROPHY, CERTIFICATE AND CASH PRIZES
Now we will announce the first term results of the Bible Quest. To save time, prize winners collectyour prizes and
certificates from the parish office before today evening, except trophy winner who will receive their trophy today:
Top five SCCs who scored highestmarks are: SCC 4 – St Pius, Bimbisar Nagar; SCC 6 – Our Lady of Lourdes,
SCC 10 – Good Shepherd, SCC 14 – St Anthony; SCC 15 – St John the Baptist. Since they have gotcash prizes
almostevery month, they will getRs 300/- each: they are:
Next 5 tops SCCs are: SCC 18 – O.L. Vailankani, SCC 17 – Sacred Heart, SCC 7 – O.L. of Rosary, SCC 3 – St
Joseph, SCC 9 – Don Bosco Though they participated every month, they could notgetany cash prize during the
term. Therefore, they will geta cash prize ofRs 500/- each.
The third prize winners are - SCC 13 – St Charles, SCC 11 – Holy Trinity, SCC 5 – St Martha, SCC 2 – St Agnes.
Since they never gota monthly cash prize, as an appreciation, they will geta cash prize ofRs 500/- each.
More than getting prizes, participation is important.
Finally we have the trophy winner for the first term none other than SCC 4 – St Pius, Bimbisar Nagar. The PPC
member please come forward and collectthe trophy.
Now we will have the list of winners in the ECO KIDS CLUBS PERFORMANCE:
As an encouragementto improve their performance and other SCCs to start the ECO KIDS CLUBS, this year
onwards prizes will be given term wise. The points scored by each ECO KIDS CLUB is regularly posted in the
parish WhatsApp group and also uploaded in the website. Outof18 SCCs, 8 SCCs have started the KIDS ECO
CLUBS. The following are the FINAL RESULTS - BEST ECO KIDS CLUBS - FIRST TERM 2017-18.
RUNNERS UP - Second prize goes to Messengers ofthe Earth (Esther and Eco Kids 9): THIRD PRIZE goes to
Jolly Eco Kids (Gracy and Eco Kids SCC 7); FOURTH PRIZE there is a tie between Bimbisar Nature Club
(Rosemary/Ida Eco kids SCC 4) And Nature Birds (Vincent - Eco Kids SCC 17); fifth prize goes to Saviours ofthe
Earth (Rony/Carol - Eco kids 10);. The sixth prize goes to: Eco Warriors - Ancy/Teresa - Eco kids 13;
They will gettheir prizes and certificates during DIWALI MELAVA in the evening. Buttheir names will be
announced.
FOR THE FIRST PLACE, ROTATING TROPHY THERE IS A TIE BETWEEN: Shining Stars (Cynthia and Eco Kids
14) And Soldiers ofthe Earth (Maria/Vanita - Eco Kids 18). Animators of both eco clubs may come and collectyour
trophy.
ALTAR SERVERS:
During this term there were various contests between two groups – SERVERS OF CHIRST AND INFANT ALTAR
SERVERS. The first prize goes to Servers ofChrist. They scored 890 points. The leader ofthis group is Vicky and
members are Neha, Mark, Roger, Merwin, Royce, Ashley,Nathaniel. Collectyour prizes.
The second prize goes to Infant Altar servers. They scored 700 points. The leader is Riona. Other members are
Yohan, Sheldon, Erica, Elvis, Rex, Ronald and Aston. Riona come and collectprize for your members.
As you know, mostofthe altar servers leave the group at7th/8th std. therefore to encourage them to remain till 10th
std, form this term onwards a appreciation prize will be given. There is only one girl who is in 9th std. Neha come
and collectyour prize.
Here is a surprise prize. You can see there are 2 boys anytime available for serving. They are Roger and Mervin.
They will also geta appreciation prize. Roger and Mervin come and collectyour prize.
Inviting many children from 5th to 10th std to join altar serving. For the second term points will start from fresh, you
can win prizes for the second term. Altar servers meeting is held on Thursdays at9 am. Come and join the altar
servers on coming Thursday.

  • 1. THIRTYSECOND SUNDAY OF THE YEAR (12-11-2017) NOTICES FOR THE WEEK 1. The Bible Quest26 will be held today/tomorrowafter 9.30am mass. As usual please occupy four classrooms, one participanton each desk. 2. PYC meeting will be held today/tomorrow, 12th November after the 9.30 am mass in the A V Room. 3. Diwali Melava get-together for Eco Kids will be held today/tomorrow from 3 pm atour AV hall. Diwali Melava includes prizedistribution for various eco kids activities and overall performance ofeco kids groups. The programme will start at sharp 3pm. Those who comelate will get5 penalty points per kid for their group. Further details have been already senton the parish WhatsApp group. 4. A formation programme for Eucharistic Ministers organisedby Bishop Barthol Baretto will be held on coming Saturday,18th November from 10 to 12 am atMountCarmel church,Bandra. Enlistyour names with Gloria or Michael coordinators. 5. Children’s’ day will be celebrated on coming Sunday,19th Nov for Sunday School students after 8.15am mass in AV hall. Children please give yournames today/tomorrowto your catechist. 6. On coming Sunday after the Children’s’ day in the A.V. hall, Sunday school students will enactthe faith Miracles from the bible after the 9.30 am Mass. Parishioners arerequested to be present in the church hall for these faith miracle enactments and motivate and encourageour children. 7. The Holy Father has declared coming Sunday, the 19th November 2017as “World Day ofthe Poor”. The archdiocese ofBombay is celebrating this endevourby launching the ACTS project, activity called to serve. You can actively participate by picking a donation bag from the parishoffice. You will be informed in the WhatsApp group when to collect the bag. For further details refer to the notice board. 8. The Family Cell ofour parish will be organizinga Spiritual outing for married couples to Karjat on 25th and 26thNovember.The charges for this is Rs 800/- per couple. This is only for ten couples on first come first serve basis. Enlist with Fr Henry. 9. The Christ the King feast will be held on the following Sunday, 26th November. Like every year, the language wise adoration timingswill be - English from 10.30 to 11.30, Konkani – 11.30 to 12.30 and Tamil 12.30 to 1.30. The Blessed Sacramentwill be kept exposed till 5 pm. Families and individuals may come and spend time in adoration till 5 pm. At 5 to 5.30 there will be a common adoration followed by Konkani Mass. 10. The Diocesan Youth Centre is organizing Youthsav 2017 on 3rd December 2017, 3.30 pm onwards at St John the Evangelist Church, Marol. For more details, see the notice board. 11. Bishop Domnic Savio Fernandes will be coming to our parish on a pastoral visitation on the following week, Wednesday, 22nd Nov. His programme will be announced on coming Sunday. 12. The Blessed Sacramenthas been shifted in the new newly renovated adoration chapel.You can start praying in the chapel. As some tiling work is still pending, the chapel will be officially inaugurated and blessed by Bishop Domnic Savio on 22nd November when he comesfor pastoral visitation to our parish. 13. Perhaps you have readin the newspapers aboutthe recentHigh Courtverdictaboutof the Aarey colony graveyard. The High courthas postponed this case for tomorrow, Monday, 13th Nov. at10.30 am. The cemetery committee has asked a big number of people to attend this hearing to showour supportfor this genuine cause. To make itconvenientfor our parishioners to attend this courthearing. A bus has been arranged for you to make itconvenient to attend. It is free. Those parishionerswho are interested to attend, please enlistyour names with Cynthia tomorrow/today after 8.15 and 9.30 mass in the church compound. Congratulations and thanks to our parishioners for standing united during the silentprotestmarch of today/yesterday. It shows the loyalty of our parishioners, parents and students for the Infant Jesus school where they studied, and the church where they are spiritually nourished. Congratulations and thanks also to Cynthia, Jerome andteam for coordinating this project, and donea lotof running about. Special thanks to Watchdog Foundation and other NGOsfor taking the trouble to organise this silentprotest which conveyed a strong message.   • 2. PRIZE DISTRIBUTION BIBLE QUEST - FIRST TERM 2017-18, TROPHY, CERTIFICATE AND CASH PRIZES Now we will announce the first term results of the Bible Quest. To save time, prize winners collectyour prizes and certificates from the parish office before today evening, except trophy winner who will receive their trophy today: Top five SCCs who scored highestmarks are: SCC 4 – St Pius, Bimbisar Nagar; SCC 6 – Our Lady of Lourdes, SCC 10 – Good Shepherd, SCC 14 – St Anthony; SCC 15 – St John the Baptist. Since they have gotcash prizes almostevery month, they will getRs 300/- each: they are: Next 5 tops SCCs are: SCC 18 – O.L. Vailankani, SCC 17 – Sacred Heart, SCC 7 – O.L. of Rosary, SCC 3 – St Joseph, SCC 9 – Don Bosco Though they participated every month, they could notgetany cash prize during the term. Therefore, they will geta cash prize ofRs 500/- each. The third prize winners are - SCC 13 – St Charles, SCC 11 – Holy Trinity, SCC 5 – St Martha, SCC 2 – St Agnes. Since they never gota monthly cash prize, as an appreciation, they will geta cash prize ofRs 500/- each. More than getting prizes, participation is important. Now we will have the list of winners in the ECO KIDS CLUBS PERFORMANCE: As an encouragementto improve their performance and other SCCs to start the ECO KIDS CLUBS, this year onwards prizes will be given term wise. The points scored by each ECO KIDS CLUB is regularly posted in the parish WhatsApp group and also uploaded in the website. Outof18 SCCs, 8 SCCs have started the KIDS ECO CLUBS. The following are the FINAL RESULTS - BEST ECO KIDS CLUBS - FIRST TERM 2017-18. RUNNERS UP - Second prize goes to Messengers ofthe Earth (Esther and Eco Kids 9): THIRD PRIZE goes to Jolly Eco Kids (Gracy and Eco Kids SCC 7); FOURTH PRIZE there is a tie between Bimbisar Nature Club (Rosemary/Ida Eco kids SCC 4) And Nature Birds (Vincent - Eco Kids SCC 17); fifth prize goes to Saviours ofthe Earth (Rony/Carol - Eco kids 10);. The sixth prize goes to: Eco Warriors - Ancy/Teresa - Eco kids 13; They will gettheir prizes and certificates during DIWALI MELAVA in the evening. Buttheir names will be announced. FOR THE FIRST PLACE, ROTATING TROPHY THERE IS A TIE BETWEEN: Shining Stars (Cynthia and Eco Kids 14) And Soldiers ofthe Earth (Maria/Vanita - Eco Kids 18). Animators of both eco clubs may come and collectyour trophy. ALTAR SERVERS: During this term there were various contests between two groups – SERVERS OF CHIRST AND INFANT ALTAR SERVERS. The first prize goes to Servers ofChrist. They scored 890 points. The leader ofthis group is Vicky and members are Neha, Mark, Roger, Merwin, Royce, Ashley,Nathaniel. Collectyour prizes. The second prize goes to Infant Altar servers. They scored 700 points. The leader is Riona. Other members are Yohan, Sheldon, Erica, Elvis, Rex, Ronald and Aston. Riona come and collectprize for your members. As you know, mostofthe altar servers leave the group at7th/8th std. therefore to encourage them to remain till 10th std, form this term onwards a appreciation prize will be given. There is only one girl who is in 9th std. Neha come and collectyour prize. Here is a surprise prize. You can see there are 2 boys anytime available for serving. They are Roger and Mervin. They will also geta appreciation prize. Roger and Mervin come and collectyour prize. Inviting many children from 5th to 10th std to join altar serving. For the second term points will start from fresh, you can win prizes for the second term. Altar servers meeting is held on Thursdays at9 am. Come and join the altar servers on coming Thursday.
