1. Today we celebrate the feast of Christ the King. Today is the last Sunday of the liturgical year. From coming
Sunday, we begin the season of Advent. For Advent ‘campaign against hunger and decease’ official of Cardinal
Oswald Gracias, please refer to the current issue of the Examiner
2. Today/tomorrow, there will be language wise holy hours after the 9.30 mass. The Holy Hour timings will be -
English from 10.30 to 11.30, Konkani – 11.30 to 12.30 and Tamil 12.30 to 1.30. The Blessed Sacrament will be
kept exposed till 5 pm. Families and individuals may come and spend time in adoration till 5 pm. At 5 to 5.30
there will be a common adoration followed by Konkani Mass.
3. There will be a get together for couples who have completed 6 to 16 years of marriage on coming Sunday

Nov after the5.30 pm mass in the A.V.Hall. Kindly register your name in the parish office or with Fr Henry

5. The December project for SCC Eco kids group will be a contest on best out of waste. Children can plan out this
project beforehand. But the actual project will be held on 6th
Dec. during the monthly Eco Kids’ meeting. Each kid
will prepare an item from the waste materials. The coordinators will arrange prizes for the best items prepared by
kids. There will be an exhibition of these items on the following Sunday, 13th
Dec. in our church premises. SCCs
who have not yet started the Eco kids groups are encouraged to have their Nov. meeting today/tomorrow or

Nov. It is happy to know that, 13 communities have already started the Eco kids
groups, and more than 100 kids from all faiths are actively participating in all the Eco Kids activities.

12. Stations of the Cross is being held on Fridays at 6.15 in Konkani and Saturdays at 6.15 in English.
13. Today/tomorrow is the last day to register for the Made in Heaven programme.
14. Bible Quest 9 will be held today/tomorrow after the 9.30 mass.
15. The monthly prayer service will be held on coming Saturday, 27th
February after the evening mass.
16. The rehearsal for stage items to be put up by the eco kids for Environment rally will be held on coming Sunday, 28th
February after the evening mass at the church extension. The best 5 items will be chosen by a panel of judges for the final
performance. On the same day, after the rehearsal compeering in-charge youth and the judges panel will tell you the
sequence of your item on the rally day. Coordinators please note, 20 points for the monthly project will be added to those
eco kids who put up their item for the rehearsal.
17. As a Year of Mercy activity, Pope Francis has asked parishes all over the world to have a 24 hour adoration and
confessions on 4th
and 5th
March. Our deanery has decided to have this prayer for the Andheri-east parishes, at St John
the Evangelist church, Marol. The adoration will be held on 4th
March Friday from 8 to 10 pm and Saturday 5th
March from 7
am to 7 pm. Dean Fr Franklyn has informed that, each parish will get a slot to conduct this adoration. Any parish group
who would like to conduct this adoration service, please give your name to any of the parish fathers. Confessions will be
held on Friday 8 to 10 and Saturday morning 9.30to 12.30 and evening 5 to 7.Please enlist your names in the parish
office. If more than 50 people enlist, bus arrangement will be made to St John’s, Marol.
18. The term of the present PPC is getting over this year. Cardinal Oswald Gracias has sent the circular to elect the new PPC
for the next term of 3 years. Those who would like to contest for the post of PPC rep. from your SCC, please give your
name in the parish office. Eligibility to contest as PPC rep. is - you have to be a practicing Catholic and a SCC animator. In
case, there are more than 1 contestants, election will be held. If there are no contestants, the coordinators will be chosen
on consensus basis during the March SCC meetings. As announced last Sunday, MMRDA and Syam Nagar will be
separate SCC units from new term, and will have separate SCC meeting for March during which their PPC rep will be
chosen.
19. Archdiocesan women’s commission is organising International women’s’ day on Sunday, 6th

20. Legionaries of St Thomas church, Goregaon are organising the 36th
annual walking pilgrimage to Mount Marys, Bandra on

21. The blood donation drive conducted by the Holy Spirit hospital will be held in our parish on Sunday, 13th
March. Please
enlist your name with your Small Community coordinators. People of all faiths can be encouraged to donate blood. The
SCC with highest donors will be appreciated with a rotating trophy.
22. In case you have not yet renewed your subscription for the Daily flash English and Konkani, please do it so in the church
office urgently as the due date is getting over.
23. Those who have taken the BCS membership form last Sunday, may return it today/tomorrow duly filled. The BCS rep. is
available on the help desk.
24. It is to remind once again for those who serve for various ministries for Sunday masses like lectors, altar Servers and
Eucharistic ministers. Please be ready at the starting point of the procession 10 minutes before with your vestments on.
Also note all those who come on the altar including those who read introduction to the mass and prayers of the faithful are
expected to wear the vestments and join in the entrance procession. Vestments are kept on the table at the entrance
procession point. As far as possible Eucharistic ministers are not to go for collection during the mass. We invite new
parishioners to come forward for collection, not the same people involved in other ministries.
25. The archdiocesan family commission is organising a rally for family cell members on Sunday, 13th
March at Sacred Heart
Church, Santacruz. Fr Cajetan, Director of Family Commission sent a letter asking each parish to send 5 to 10 parish
family cell members. Enlist your names with Fr Henry.
26. The CCO run by the Sisters of Helpers of Mary are conducting various skilled vocational training courses from B.M.C. such
as Mehendhi, cooking, beautician and tailoring. After successful completion of the one month course government
certificates are awarded. Also there are SNDT degree courses for the girls who could not complete their SSC. For further
details contact any of the sisters. Our parishioners of all faiths are invited to take advantage of these facilities which are
available almost free.

1. Divine Mercy feast will be celebrated on coming Sunday, 3rd April. As a preparation for this feast, novenas are
being held daily before the evening Mass at 5.45.
2. First Holy Communion for our children will be held on Sunday 17th April.
3. Those students going to 11th std and others above 16 years, who have not yet received the Confirmation,
please register your names in the parish office for next year confirmation batch.
4. The cluster community wise Easter Masses and blessing of water will begin from the following Monday, 11th
April. The schedule of masses has been emailed and sent on WhatsApp to the parishioners. Those
parishioners who are not on the parish email and WhatsApp list may give your email ids and WhatsApp nos in
the parish office. This will help you in getting timely information about parish happenings.
5. Last Sunday Bible quest results have been sent online. Top 3 SCCs and individual toppers collect your prizes
before today Sunday evening. The bible quest rotating trophy for the second term is won by SC 4 St Pius
community. The trophy, and a token cash prize for the three toppers for the second term will be awarded on
coming Sunday, 3rd April during the 8.15 Mass.

central and deanery BCS representatives will be present for this first meeting. All the registered members are
urged to attend this first BCS general body meeting.
8. The funeral rites of Fr Edward D’Souza the Parish Priest of St John the Evangelist church, Marol will be held at
4 pm tomorrow, Monday at St John the Evangelist church, Marol. Body will be kept in the church to pay last
respect from 10 am onwards.
9. In keeping with the teaching of Pope Francis to protect environment, parishioners are urged to celebrate an
eco-friendly Easter celebration by avoiding throw away plastic glasses, plates, decorations, junk food etc.

life style must continue in all our family and community celebrations. Our parish has already prohibited the use
of any throw away articles during celebrations like Weddings, Baptisms, First Holy Communion etc held in our
A.V. hall. Parish Caterers have been instructed about it.

the family for parish community fund. Parish community fund is used for various parish activities, including
helping the poor families. There are some families who have not yet started contributing for the parish

11. The get-together for married couples of our parish will be held on the following Sunday, April 10, 2016 after the
