1. THIRTIETH SUNDAY OF THE YEAR (29-10-2017)
NOTICES FOR THE WEEK
1. Bible study quiz-BSQ – part 2 will be held today/tomorrow. Please occupy 4 classrooms, one
participant on each desk. Today’s BQ is the last quiz for the first term. The first term rotating trophy will
be awarded during the 8.15 am mass on the following Sunday, 12th November.
2. The next bq, BQ 26 is advanced for second Sunday, 12th Nov. as the third and fourth Sundays are
occupied with children’s day programme and Christthe King feast respectively.
3. Sunday school for children will reopen after Diwali vacation on coming Sunday, 5th November. Parents
please see that your children attend the Sunday school regularly.
4. On coming Wednesday, 1st November we celebrate all Saints day and Thursday, 2nd November All
Souls Day. On Wednesday, All Saints day mass schedule will be as usual 6.30 am and 6.30 pm. The
mass schedule for All Souls day - morning 6.30 and evening 6.30 in Konkani and 7.30 in English. The
box for All Souls Day intention has been kept near the altar. You may drop your mass intentions for the
souls of your dear and near ones in this box, along with your voluntary offerings. These intentions will
be offered during all the masses.
5. Like every year, there will be a Konkani mass for all souls on 2nd Nov. at 9 am at the Oshiwara
cemetery chapel. For rest of the mass schedule at Oshiwara cemetery, see the circular on the notice
board.
6. PPC meeting will be held on coming Sunday, 5th November.
7. The Cricket tournament and Throw ball tournament for ladies will be held on coming Sunday, 5th
November. Only registered parishioners are eligible to participate. Register your names with the PYC
members of Fr Henry before 3rd November.
8. Diwali Melava get-together for Eco Kids will be held on the following Sunday, 12th November from 3 pm
at our AV hall. Eco Kids animators please enlist the nos of Eco Kids participating in this get-together
before Wednesday, Nov. 8th. Further details have been already sent on the parish WhatsApp group.
9. A formation programme for Eucharistic Ministers organised by Bishop Barthol Baretto will be held on
Saturday, 18th November from 10 to 12 am at Mount Carmel church, Bandra. Enlist your names with
Gloria or Michael coordinators.
10. The Family Cell of our parish will be organizing a Spiritual outing for married couples to Karjat on
18th and 19thNovember. The charges for this is Rs 800/- per couple. This is only for ten couples on first
come first serve basis. Enlist with Fr Henry.
11. Those who have collected your souvenir forms for advertisement of our school golden jubilee souvenir,
please return the forms with your ad charges and ad matter at your earliest as the matter will be going
for printing shortly.
12. Last Sunday, Mission Sunday collections amounted to Rs ________. This amountwill be sent to the
archbishop’s house for the missions. Thank you for your generosity.
13. Priests and sisters family visitation on coming Wednesday, 11th October will be SCCs 2 and 11. Your
PPC member will give you further details.
14. (9.15 mass only) Today’s liturgy is animated by SCC 18. Coming Sunday liturgy will be SCC 1.
