4. Analyse
• Look at the film poster you have been given
• Annotate the poster using the correct terminology
• You should make sure you comment on how an
audience is being attracted to the film using the
concept of genre, narrative, representation, audience
positioning and visual codes.
• You should apply theory where appropriate
• Be ready to share your poster with the other half of the
class.
5. • Move into pairs with someone who did a
different poster.
• You have three minutes each to share your
poster analysis.... GO!

6. Trailer
• As we watch the trailer make notes on how
effective it was or wasn’t.
• You should identify elements used in the
trailer that appeal to audiences.
• Whilst also thinking about what might put
audiences off.
• Everyone should be ready to share at least
one point with the class once we have
watched it.
7. Homework
• Find three other marketing strategies used by Frozen –
think of the list we created at the start of the lesson.
• Print these out or save the web address and bring them to
next lesson
• Out of the three, choose the one that you feel you can
discuss in the most detail and prepare a short paragraph on
how this has successfully or unsuccessfully marketed the
film.
• You will need these at the start of next lesson (Tues)
