The mise en scene for our narrative.

1. Narrative – Mise En Scene
My plan for costumes, hair, setting and
make up in the narrative.

2. Costumes – The Male Nerd
• We are going to use a male
character for the stereotypical nerd.
• The costume will be a white shirt,
blue jumper, black braces, a tie,
glasses and black suit trousers.
• We want the character to look like
your stereotypical nerd but not to
the point of being too cheesy.
• We will film him holding up the
board and dancing awfully and
offbeat.

3. The Female Ballet Dancer
• Our ballet dancer will be dressed in a
black leotard with black tights and pink
pointe shoes.
• She will have her hair tied back in a bun
and have very simple make up.
• We will film her feet on pointe, and film
her singing along to the chorus and
second verse and then film her dancing
happily.

4. The Male ‘Cool Kid’
• We will have a typical ‘Cool Kid’, who
will dress in the latest fashioned
clothes and is seen by the audience
as a stereotypical popular kid
• He will be dressed in tight skinny
jeans and a BOY London t-shirt.
• His hair will be gelled upwards, as this
is the latest male hairstyle trend.
• We will film him holding his board
and dancing around. He will also be
filmed standing around awkwardly, as
this will show that he thinks that he’s
too cool to be dancing.

5. The Tough Guy
• The stereotypical tough guy has
tattoos and often wears graphic t-
shirts or black tshirts, so we will
dress him accordingly, with jeans.
• We will film him holding the board
and then again dancing around like
the other characters, but also film
him flexing his muscles to show
that he’s confident with who he is.

6. The Exuberant One
• Everyone knows that one person
that is hard to dislike because
they’re always so happy. We
wanted to portray this character in
our video.
• Bright colours connote happiness,
so we will dress him in an
extremely colourful Christmas
jumper with bright trousers.

7. The Vain One
• Vanity is something that is very
common amongst teenagers these
days due to the increase in social
media and selfies, so this
character is very relatable.
• We will dress this character is very
rich looking clothing, so expensive
looking blue jeans and a very plain
and pale jumper.
• We will film this character on his
phone and also of him dancing
carelessly.
