5. ICONOGRAPHICAL OF
THE GENRE
Within the music video there many stylistic conventions that
are iconographical of the genre which is pop rock. For
example the costumes and how the main artist is
represented, the props that are used within the video are
stylistic to other pop rock music videos. For example the way
the character is represented in the music video we can link to
the pop rock genre as he has many tattoos which can be
connotative of other pop rock artist. This appeals to the
audience because the hybridisation of genres is covering a
wider range of people.

6. NARRATIVE
This music video just like other videos this artist has created
narrative. We know this as the artist is following the story of
his girlfriends death. We know that he isn't performing as the
video does not consist of any lip syncing.
