• Consist of 206 bones.
• divided into two main parts.
• 1) Axial skeleton.
• 2) Appendicular skeleton.

5. *AXIAL SKELETON:
• Cranium:
Brain box main
frame work for skull.
* composed of 8
bones.
* protect brain.

6. FACE BONES(FACIAL BONES):

* Single lower
jaw bone...

8. VERTIBRAL COLUMN (BACK BONES):
• Composed of 33 bones.
• remaining 26 bones
outside of hip region.
• 7 bones fused inside of hip
region.
• protect spinal cord.
• B/w vertibrae cartilage disc
which is prevent for
grinding.
• locate at dorsal body.

9. RIBS:
• 12 pairs locate at chest
cavity.
• ribs are semi circular
bones which is dorsally
attached with vertibral
column.
• ventrally attach with
sternum.
• protect heart and lungs.

10. STERNUM:
Single chest bone.
FLOATING RIBS:
The
two pair of ribs which is not
conect with sternum.

11. APPENDICULAR SKELETON:
• Moveable
skeleton consist
of two parts.
• 1) Pectoral
Girdle.
• 2) Pelvis Girdle.
