MyFoundationsLab is an online program that assesses students' skills in reading, writing, and math through diagnostic tests. It then creates a personalized learning path for each student focused on the areas they need to improve. Students work through modules and topics in each subject area, completing activities and assessments to demonstrate their mastery of the material. Educators can track each student's progress and make adjustments to the course content and mastery settings. MyFoundationsLab aims to help students strengthen their college and career readiness skills.

4. How does it work?

5. Each student starts in MyFoundationsLab by
taking the Path Builder diagnostic assessments.

7. MyFoundationsLab includes a series of pre-built
diagnostics already, but educators can add their own.

8. Once the student has completed each Path
Builder assessment…

9. …they will see a personalized Learning Path.

10. The Learning Path shows the modules from reading,
writing, and math where the students need extra
practice.

11. Students then enter the Learning Path for reading,
writing or math.

12. They determine which module they want to work
on next.

13. Within each module are a series of topics. For
each topic, students can do three things:

14. 1. Students can take a Skills Check to see what
topics in the module they need to study.

15. 2. Students can work through the activities for the
module topics…

16. …in order to increase their understanding.

17. 3. Students can demonstrate topic mastery by taking a
post-test with a mastery score or achieving a mastery
score on all activities. (This is an instructor setting.)

18. As they complete each topic, their progress shows
on the learning path.

19. After all topics in a module are mastered…

21. And as they complete each module, that shows on
the learning path as well.

22. Educators and administrators can track each
student’s progress in the online gradebook.

23. They can also adjust the content in the course, as
well as adjust the mastery settings.

24. Coverage changes will be reflected in the student
Learning Path and on the activities provided for each
topic.
