3. Pre Production
• After deciding which clips we wanted to emulate, we went away to create the
scripts for the scenes that needed them However, not all of these were
included in the final swede.
• The only props used were the wig and cane given to Mr Daley in order to
make him more recognizable as President Snow
• The characters were as follows
Lisandra as Katniss Everdeen
Mr Daley as President Snow
Clara as Peeta Mellark
Hanaa as Ceasar Flickerman
All of us were involved as extras to be Tributes
4. Production
• We filmed on an Iphone 5 due to convienience
• The swede was cut together on Movie Maker
5. Marketing
• To market it, we produced:
A website
A poster
Social media accounts
Twitter
Instsgram
• Our target audience was young people aged 16-20 in the ABC1 categories
due to being of a similar demographic to ourselves.
6. Exhibition
• We distributed our swede by uploading it on Youtube
• We found the internet extremely useful as it was a free platform that
connects millions of people. It makes it easy for people such as us to get our
films out there on a low budget.
Distribution
Our swede was only in circulation for less than a week.
On Youtube we got 81 views and 11 ’thumbs up’
On Instagram we got 12 followers
On Twitter, we got 3 followers
7. PLAYING IN A SCREEN NEAR YOU
“Was this a joke? Worst film invented!”
-The Sun
“At least they tried , still failed, no comments”
-The Daily Mail
“This is the highest they will get so something so
badly done!”
-MTV
8. What we learnt
• We learnt that there are many stages in the process of creating a film- even
if it is as short as ours.
• There are many stages that all take time and that it can take a lot of time
and effort to market and distribute a film well enough that it can reach a
large amount of people
• There are lots of different roles within the creation of a film that lead to the
finished product- these include:
Script Writer
Cameraperson
Editor
Actor/Actress
PR Manager
