The type of ownership for Jurassic World is conglomerate, as it
is also produced and distributed by a blockbuster film
company, Universal Pictures. What makes this film a
blockbuster is the fact of the use of al the high technology and
ideas built into the making of the film as there was a bug
budget, $150,000,000, which is a big amount wasted on a film,
as it has been claimed to be one if the films with the highest

10. The way they market their film to their audience would have been by the use of different social media accounts
and their very own film official website for Jurassic world. They decided to market their film this way because of
the use of technology the target audience uses for this specific film as its also a young audience from my opinion
of the age of 13-18 (as the film is rated as pg-13). The idea that tis film can be for a family film as it allows other
age groups to watch the film too even though the film is rate at a low age of 13.
ADVERTISING AND MARKETING METHODS USED
MARKETING THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA:
ADVERTISING THROUGH TRADITIONAL METHOD:
Because the target audience is 12 and itās a film
recommended as a sci-fi and family film, traditional
advertisements its easier to get the audience
attention especially the older target audience. This is
a way of promoting the film without a use of
technology. This use of promoting is mainly for the
older audience that donāt have easy access to social
media or internet just like the younger audience as
the film would be promoted to them though social
media to keep in touch with the audience that have
the same interest as this sci-fi film.
11. SYNERGY
-The interaction or cooperating of two or more organisations, substances, or other agents to
produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects.
Further examples and information:
There were no special effects, or green screens or tracking markers used
during the filming. All effects were done in post-production. To create the
movement it was all done with the equipment provided. All used with the best
filming equipment. So this way it would be easy to edit the dinosaurs with the
human. No special effects, all the dinosaurs movement is all done by actors/
actress movement by using performance capture firstly one shot/take and
then the actors take and speeches on a different take.
-It's a business term and it also refers to companies coming together vertically or horizontally (or
both). For example; often cited in exams is of working title making use of its parent companies to
gain access to become a bigger as a company.
CROSS-MEDIA CONVERGENCE
Warner Brosā video games adaptation of upcoming
summer movie Jurassic World will arrive on the same day
as the film.
Both movie and game will hit UK shelves on June 12th.
That release date applies to all platforms ā PS4, Xbox One,
PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PC, 3DS and Vita.
The game will encompass the events of not just the new
film but also 1993 classic Jurassic Park and both of its
sequels.
LEGO Jurassic World is just one of three LEGO games due
out this year ā toys-to-life debutant LEGO Dimensions is
due out on September 29th.
12. Use of TECHNOLOGY IN THE
PRODUCTION OF THIS FILM?
Jurassic World is the first film in the series without the involvement of Stan
Winston, who died in 2008. Instead the animatronic dinosaurs were handled by
Winstonās former alumni at Legacy Effects, many of whom had worked in
previous three films.
Visual effects supervisor Phil Tippett and Industrial Light and Magic also
returned to create CGI dinosaurs. The computer generated dinosaurs were
created using performance capture, using human actors to perform the
dinosaursā movement. Developing the raptors had the collaboration image
engine, which finished the scenes using the motion capture information.

13. HOME ENTERTAINMENT RELEASE DATE
DVD release date: 20th October 2015
The way they would sell the film to the target audience once it
would have been released would have been in the cinema, released
world wide by different dates, release on DVD, being able to
download on different devices from via iTunes films. Or simply also
by buying the Blu-Ray DVD version of the film. The download idea of
selling the film would have been a very popular way to buy the film
as the target audience is a young audience (age of 13, teens). As it
also the audience that would use internet, different devices and
always communicating through the social media as a daily basis. In
my opinion the second best method to sell the film to the audience
would have been through Blu-Ray DVD film as a hardcopy so the
target audience could view it at home at anytime they would wish as
many times they would wish.
The idea of campaign and making advertisements out of it would be
by the idea that the target audience would be able to find this
adverts easily through the social media as they are always
connected online as a audience online with the same interests as
they like the same film with the same genres that explains this film.
14. Type of AUDIENCE?
GLOBAL AUDIENCE OR LOCAL AUDIENCE?
GLOBAL AUDIENCE
MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE TARGET AUDIENCE:
My potential opinion on Jurassic Worldās film audience demographics:
-Gender: Males (as the main character and hero is the man as it shows power/bravery throughout the film)
-Age:13-18 (main audience, allowing other age groups to watch the film too)
-Interests: Sci-fi, adventure
-Location: USA (screened)
Jurassic World is a film rated for the age PG-13 by BBFC which is very wise choice as the film doesnāt seem
to show anymore scenes that would have to be higher than 13. As the idea of being targeted to a younger
audience it allows it to other age audiences to watch the film and to make the film bigger by the release
and the storyline of the film. This film would be targeted to a ānicheā audience. This film is also associated as
a mainstream film but it also it follows down the series from āJurassic Parkā to āJurassic Worldā. It just means
that the viewers would be a larger audience, to the specific audience for the film and the other age groups,
towards especially men who also like sci-fi films as one of the main genres of the film is sci-fi and also
adventure which can associate more easily to a men audience. As it also has a ācontroversialā and quite
complicated storyline it does limit the audience in gender and age group too.
In my opinion I think the film itās a global audience because the
film was produced by a blockbuster company, Universal Pictures,
which made the film an blockbuster film itself and it also released
worldwide. For example, because the film is recommended as a
family film, as it has a BBFC of the age 12, families with children till
the age of 12 can watch the film. Which means other age groups
can watch it too. This is why the film was released worldwide once
was made so they would be able to get the reviews from older
audience and the target audience faster to make the film grow by
the feedback and the communication from the film that the
audience would have between one another.
