1. How did you use media technologies
in the construction and research,
planning and evaluation stages?
2. Blogger
• The most important site
I heavily relied on was
Blogger. It allowed me
to easy insert images,
videos, presentation
files (Microsoft Word &
Powerpoint) and embed
my online presentations
(Emaze & Prezi). Blogger
also displays your work
professionally and
makes it easy to view.
3. iPhone
• The iPhone came in handy for
recording the film in a high
quality. Using this Smartphone
also made it easy to access the
videos and transfer them onto a
computer/laptop with no
complications. The Smartphone
was also useful when I needed
to approach my target audience
with social media platforms.
Contacting the actors and
planning days to film where
also made easy using a phone
via group chats.
4. Computer/Laptop
• The computer/laptop was vital
in order to use the internet to
do research and planning for
my media product. When
crafting my media product, it
was again needed for editing
the film and creating the
posters and reviews using
Adobe Software's.
5. Google
• Google allowed me to access
my blog to upload my work. It
also was extremely important
for research and planning as I
could view existing media
products to learn about the
conventions used.
6. YouTube
• Using YouTube helped learning
how to use the Adobe software
to further enhance my skills
when it came to editing the
film.
• YouTube was also needed to
find sound files which would be
implemented in the film.
• YouTube was again used to
successfully upload the film for
the audience to view.
7. iPhone
• MP3 Juices was used to download the sound files from YouTube
so that they could be imported onto Adobe Premier Pro. This
was successful as I allowed me to download the sound file with
no hassle .
8. Microsoft Word & PowerPoint
• Microsoft Word was extremely
useful when writing the script,
review drafts and general
research and planning.
• PowerPoint was used when
presenting any research done.
This software was sufficient,
although, the quality of display
was basic for both software's.
9. Online Presentations
• Emaze, Prezi and Slideshare
PowToon were used to create
slideshows using the internet. I
enjoyed using these as they
create a professional and
unique presentation. They
allowed me to choose a wide
range of creative backgrounds,
fonts, colours and images could
easily be applied to the slides.
10. Adobe Photohshop
• Adobe Photoshop was used to
create the poster and the
review. I chose to use this
software as it allows you to use
a range of tools and effects to
have a professional outcome of
your product. This software is
also great to manipulate the
image and text to achieve the
meaning you were trying to
create.
11. Adobe Premiere Pro
• Adobe Premiere Pro was used
to edit the film. I used this
software as it would have
similar tools and features as
Photoshop which meant I
would be comfortable using the
software. This software allowed
me to move clips and import
the clips and apply the effects
and files which were needed to
a sufficient standard.
