2. HOW DID YOU USE
MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES
IN THE CONSTRUCTION,
RESEARCH, PLANNING
AND EVALUATION
STAGES?
3. A Variety of different media technologies were used throughout
the construction of the final piece. The software used can be
categorized into Hardware (Physical equipment) and Software
(Programs on the computer). Most of the work was saved and
comprised on the Apple I Mac software. This was my computer of
choice as it was the only one available at my college and also it has all
the right programs needed.
4. YOUTUBE
YouTube is a website owned by Google that allows people to
stream videos for free. I found YouTube to be very helpful with my
research and planning for the music video and textual analysis. It
allowed me to freely watch as many music videos as I needed too for
my research. It also helped me look at different conventions of music
videos which helped with my analysis.
5. BLOGGER
Blogger.com has been the base of recording everything to do with
my project. The website is free to use by anyone and is blog posting
website that has time stamps and allows the user to use labels to keep
track of work.
Blogger was also a useful website to use as it allowed me to embed
photos, power points and YouTube videos into my work easily.
6. POWERPOINT/PREZI
PowerPoint and Prezi have been the two main sources of media used in displaying my
work. I found both of them very easy to use and both allowed me to upload and embed
pictures without having no problems. With using PowerPoint I then uploaded my
powerpoints to a website called Slideshare.net and used the Link to embed into my
blogger. With Prezi I just had to copy and paste the link into my blog.
PowerPoint is a free service to use via Microsoft and it allows you to create different
slides and embed links and pictures into them.
Prezi is a free online website which is the same as powerpoints however it uses
animations instead.
7. PRIMER PRO
Primer pro is a software that is on the Apple Imac computers. The
software allowed us to upload our clips of the Nikon camera and started
editing them (cropping, using colour filters and luma curves).
The software was easy to use and handle and the quality of of the
finished videos were top quality. The citing techniques were simple to use
with creating different colour filters ect.
The software also allowed us to upload music clips and allowed us to
edit it to be quieter or louder.
8. PHOTOSHOP
Photoshop is another software device on the apple Imac. I used
photoshop a lot when it came to editing pictures for my designs for
the Digipaks and poster.
Once again the software was simple to use and had effective top
quality results.
9. INDESGIN
Indesign was a software on on Mac computers. I created my
digipak deigns and poster on this software.
The layout was complex at first but after using it a few times it
became easier to use. I found that it had a greater variety of font than
photoshop or word did, and this allows me to make my deigns more
unique.
10. NOKIA 300
The Nikon 3200 was the camera used in the production of the
main task. I found the camera very easy to use , the set up was not
complainant ex either. and it produced very good quality clips.
11. IPHONE
The only time iPhones were sued were as part of the firing for our
main task. We asked the cast if they would be able to film some clips
on their phone via snapchat.
We wanted the phones to a major part of the filming as not only
did it create a vlog style, it was also unique and gave the main task a
feel of youth though snapchat.
