25. Prices and Turnaround We charge per audio minute and not per hour. This means you know exactly how much each dictation will cost regardless of how long it has taken to type. Prices vary depending on the service you require. There is a minimum charge of £5.00. Audio typing Copy typing Standard 24 hour service: £0.85 per audio minute. Sameday service: £0.95 per audio minute. Overnight service: £1.00 per audio minute. Weekend service: £1.00 per audio minute. 4 hour service: £1.20 per audio minute. Interviews – Intelligent Verbatim (verbatim 20p extra) One to one interviews: £1.00 per audio minute. Three to five persons: £1.10 per audio minute. Six to ten persons: £1.20 per audio minute. £8 per 1,000 words or £15 per hour dependent on the job.

28. Confidentiality and Security Fingertips are registered with the Data Protection Act. Our registration number is Z9837516. Our secretaries are required to sign a Confidentiality Agreement agreeing not to disclose client’s confidential information to third parties. The client is provided with a Confidentiality Agreement signed by the Proprietor of Fingertips. All client information provided to Fingertips is for the use of Fingertips only and will not be disclosed to any third parties. Upon termination of a client then Fingertips will remove all client’s templates from the server. The secretaries must also remove any client material from their computers and this is stated in their Confidentiality Agreement.

Mpeg-1 Audio Layer 3 Wave Form Audio File Good sound quality but files are very large. Most recorders produce WAV files. Compressed files that filter out sounds the human ear cannot hear.
