6. Participatory, creative non-formal learning methods have proven to
empower individuals to activate themselves and create a change.
The citizenship’s concept means a wider understanding of formal,
informal, political, cultural, and interpersonal relationships.
Such a concept demands active citizenship, participation and
capability to become agents of change.
Non-formal education’s purposes are in accordance with
empowerment of individuals by using participatory methods.
These proactive attitudes should be part of the educational
process of all young citizens and a shared responsibility of formal
education system, families and communities at large.
