The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action has been regarded as the biggest diplomatic failure in the
United States history. While this seems to be an over sensationalized statement, analyzing the
dispute system design, cross–cultural negotiation, and resistance points of the deal, may shed further
insight on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action and how the United States resolves conflict with
Middle Eastern nations.
Historical Context
The relations between the United State's and Iran were amicable throughout the post–World War II.
In entering the Cold War, "the United States negotiated the Baghdad Pact in which an alliance
between, Iran, Iraq, and Pakistan was formed." During this era, President Nixon encouraged the
Shah of Iran to develop a nuclear program and provided the funding to Iran's energy sector. The
United States maintained a close partnership with Iran until, the Islamic Revolution in February of
1979. The revolution overthrew the Shah of Iran and Ruhollah Khomeini became the new supreme
leader of Iran. Immediately following the revolution, Iran engaged in a war against Iraq in the early

has published five strategic goals.1 Under these goals they have formulated a total of thirteen
objectives to give the strategy a more specific direction. In these strategic objectives there is

policy certainly has a strong Wilsonian flavor. However, Wilson's theory alone does not accurately
portray U.S. foreign policy in the 21st Century. I will present examples of the other main political
policy ideals and practices (Hamiltonian, Jeffersonian, and Jacksonian) in twenty–first century U.S.
foreign relations.
Woodrow Wilson was the 28th President of the United States and held the office from 1913–1921.
He became known as "the Crusader" and earned the label for his passionate belief that America
should be a beacon of liberty and aggressively pursue the spread of democracy throughout the
world. Wilson felt America could prosper economically and develop a community of international
security through the promotion of democracy to other nations. In his book Diplomacy, Former U.S.
Secretary of State Henry Kissinger says, President Woodrow Wilson's foreign policy (Known as
Wilsonianism), "It is above all to the drumbeat of Wilsonian idealism that American foreign policy
has marched since his watershed presidency, and continues to march to this day."2

The United States of America has always been a symbol of the free world. It has offered many
generations of immigrants the opportunity to start a new life, a free life. America has collected
immigrants from all over the world; however, some arrive legally and some make their way in
illegally. In the U.S. today, this issue is dividing Americans between their morals and the law. In
November of 2014, President Barack Obama claimed, "My fellow Americans, we are and always
will be a nation of immigrants. We were strangers once, too" (Somanader, Tanya. ""We Were
Strangers Once, Too": The President Announces New Steps on Immigration"). Many believe illegal
immigrants should be deported, while others say they should be welcomed with open arms. Current
illegal immigrants deserve the privilege to remain in the United States and be led on a path to
citizenship, however measures should be taken to prevent further illegal immigrants. Immigration in
America goes back hundreds of years and it is important to understand its background. The United
States, was founded by immigrants seeking a new life in the new world and throughout its history.

Vice Presidential Selection:
The Vice presidential candidates are Tim Kaine for the democratic party and Mike Pence for the
Republican party. A lot of journalists and democrat argue that Pence was successful only because he
throw Trump under the bus and refused to defend his boss from repeated attack. But they miss the
point: voters rarely scrutinize debates line–by–line, instead making their judgments on the overall
tone and performance of a candidate. Pence will not fare well with fact checkers, but his poise and
polish played well with voters. For better or worse, style counts a lot in these debates. Tim Kaine
had a much sharper mastery of policy but was forced to play attack dog, a role that doesn 't fit his

Decision: In this case the court ruled that entrapment was not an issue because neither party
attempted to subpoena Kowel in the case of entrapment. Furthermore, the issue of entrapment was
never raised by the trial judge and they were never raised by the parties either. Therefore, the verdict
of guilty was reached and that no harm was done by leaving the question to the jury because
according to law, there was no entrapment.
Reasoning: The reason for this was because the trial court should have ruled on the issue of
entrapment and not left it up to the jury. Furthermore, the judge that was hearing the case should
have gave a different weight on the evidence in the case and not the evidence that was on record.
Therefore, by doing this and letting the jury conclude then the claim of entrapment could not be
sustained and the actual conviction would stand.
Dissenting opinions: For this case there were no dissenting opinions in the case because there was
no evidence to entrapment. Therefore, the judges agreed that the verdict was fair and that the judge
in the case had the right to enforce the ruling of entrapment. Furthermore, they felt that no harm was
done in the question to the jury on entrapment.
