Moon Landing Conspiracy And Its Effects On The World Essay
Moon Landing Conspiracy
The United States and Mankind have gone on to do many amazing feats that were once though
impossible. However, nothing comes to be quite as amazing as the Apollo 11 mission that landed the
first men on the surface of the moon. At the time this act caused widespread celebration, and cheer.
Over the years some people started to doubt the legitimacy of what occurred on that day back in
1969. These people came on to form the basis of the moon landing conspiracy theory. A theory that
states that the United States never landed on the moon and the United States faked the whole thing
in order to say they won the space race against the Soviet Union and increase moral during the time
of the Cold war. Some of the core arguments that form the Moon landing Hoax conspiracy are that
the mission would have been too dangerous with the technology we had at the time. They disregard
any footage from the event, believing that NASA and the US government created a fake set in an
undisclosed location and used special effects to make the footage seem more believable. All of the
claims made by these hoax believers can be refuted with science and common sense, and that is
what this paper sets out to do.
The Apollo missions were huge efforts that required thousands of scientists, workers and contractors
to come together. So how is it that thousands of people can come together to create what was a fake
mission without one person coming forward and leaking the fact that all of

Apollo Moon Landing Conspiracy Essay
Every epic moment in modern history inevitably spawns a tangled web of conspiracy theories, and
the Apollo moon landings are no exception. From the moment astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz
Aldrin set foot on the lunar surface on July 21, 1969, some believed it was all an elaborate ruse
staged by NASA on a Hollywood soundstage in spite of the overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
(Of course, a different conspiracy camp believes man first landed on the moon a quarter–century
before the Apollo astronauts when the Nazis established a top–secret lunar base where Adolf Hitler
lived out his final years.)
Even the photographic evidence of the Apollo 11 astronauts on the moon has been seized by moon
landing conspiracy theorists as proof of the hoax. In particular, they point to an iconic color
photograph of Aldrin ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Only it wasn't a studio light, but the man taking that photograph–Armstrong. "We found a clip of
videotape that was shot from the other side of the ladder," Daly said. "There is a huge glowing
bright white light. And as we analyzed that video a little more we realized it's Neil Armstrong
himself. The bright white spacesuit that he was wearing reflected all that sunlight off of him and
back onto Buzz Aldrin so essentially Neil Armstrong himself was a light source in that scene."
While moon dust reflects about 12 percent of the sun's light, the spacesuits worn by the Apollo
astronauts were virtual mirrors constructed of materials that reflected 85 percent of the light that
struck them, and Armstrong was bathed in full sunlight as he took Aldrin's photograph. Once the
Nvidia engineers adjusted for the reflectivity of Armstrong's suit, the lighting in the virtual rendering
nearly matched the actual photograph and proved that Aldrin could have appeared illuminated in the
Eagle's shadow with the sun as the sole lighting

The Reasons Of The Moon Landing Conspiracy Theory
Moon Landing Conspiracy Theory
On July 20th, 1969, the first man ever stepped on the moon.. Or so we thought, there are many
people who believe moon landings were faked, whether it be apollo Mission 11, 12, or any other
number NASA put on there is up to the public.
Let's start with Apollo Mission 11. July 20th, 1969, "One small step for man, one giant leap for
mankind." claimed Armstrong when he first stepped.
Apollo 11
The Flag
The first conspiracy theory being covered is the Flag, When the flag is placed on the moon, it's to be
seen as waving in the air, however, many know that as you start going up through the atmosphere,
the air starts to thin and in space there isn't air for the flag to be waving through. When NASA was
confronted, they responded with saying that there were wrinkles in the flag, my question to NASA
is, if the flag was wrinkled it wouldn't have mattered anyway because, wouldn't the flag have been
drooping?
Photography
Next conspiracy theory is, the photography. There are many pictures showing the astronauts without
cameras or any of those sorts of things. NASA had claimed that cameras were to be placed on chests
yet in a picture of one of the astronauts, no camera is seen, but in the visor you can see the second
astronaut clearly who, you guessed it, doesn't have a camera either. If neither of the two have
cameras, who's is taking these pictures?

Conspiracy Theory Research Paper
Conspiracy theories are designed to make sense even though they are entirely false. They also get
out of control when they get a huge following of people that haven't put time into research to tell if
the theory is valid or not. When ridiculous conspiracy theories come up, they can be easily
debunked. I will go over multiple conspiracy theories and being to prove them wrong by breaking
them down and presenting facts that make these theories not possible.
The first theory is the Moon Landing conspiracy theory. This theory goes back to the Apollo 11
moon landing. Theorists believe that the moon landing was all faked in an attempt to beat Russia in
the "Space Race". Some "proof" they claim to have is "when the astronauts are putting up the
American flag it waves, there is no wind on the moon". The flag is held up by a horizontal bar and
simply moves when it is unfurled and as the pole is being fixed into position by the astronauts the
pole continues to vibrate after the astronauts let go. This gives the impression of blowing wind on
the moon.(www.telegraph.co.uk).
Another theory they present is "no stars are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In 2010, there was a influx of shark attacks off the coast of Egypt. This sent the citizens of this small
area into a state of JAWS–like panic. It is said that this panicked state led to this conspiracy theory.
According to www.discovermagazine.com, one Sharm el–Sheikh diver named Captain Mustfa
Ismail believes that the sharks were trained to attack Egyptians by the Israeli intelligence agency
Mossad. After that a shark was discovered with a gps implanted in its back and the theory took
flight. When asked by the anchor how sharks entered Sharm El Sheikh waters, he burst out "no, it's
who let them in?". When Egypt Today asked the region's governor, General Abdel–Fadeel Shosha,
what he thought of the theory, he said he couldn't rule it

Scientific Facts for Moon Landing Conspiracy Theorists
People around the globe are familiar with the triumphant words, "One small step for man, one giant
leap for mankind." However, nearly 20% (Russo) believe they were not said up in space, but in a set
created by Americans unable to get to the actual moon. It's concerning that some people think the
moon landing was faked, and the conspiracy is starting to become a global issue. The lunar landing
was not a hoax. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And why the Soviets (also in the space race to get to the moon) did not show any signs of protest?
Every conspiracy theory about the Lunar Landing can be posed, but every single one has a logical
retaliation, backed up by nothing but scientific fact.

Apollo 11 Conspiracy
There are so many conspiracies around the world and one of them is "Landing on the moon" when
NANSA sent Apollo 11 to the moon on 1969 it was a shock and then after that people started to
question it and now 20% of the united states believe that the government faked the landing while
other believe they did land on the moon.
Apollo 11 launched from Cape Kennedy on July 16, 1969, carrying Commander Neil
Armstrong, Command Module Pilot Michael Collins and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin "Buzz"
Aldrin into an initial Earth–orbit of 114 by 116 miles. An estimated 530 million people watched
Armstrong's televised image and heard his voice describe the event as he took "...one small step for
a man, one giant leap for mankind" on July 20, 1969.

How can this be? NASA explained that no crater was expected. Beneath the 2–4 inches of moon
dust is a layer of solid rock, and the ship's engines blew the dust away as it landed on the remaining
rock. Blasting a crater in such rock was not possible. Photos and movies taken during final descents
clearly show this scattering of moon dust.
The third claim of the theory was American flags planted on the moon appear to be slightly waving
in a breeze, but of course there are no breezes on the lunar surface NASA says this is a common
misconception, even among non–conspiracists. The flags only seemed to flutter when the astronauts
were moving them into position, and then pushing them into the lunar soil (not

Conspiracy Theories Have Caused People To Question Everything
Conspiracy theories have caused people to question everything the government tells them for
hundreds of years. A conspiracy theory is an explanation of an event or situation that invokes a
conspiracy without warrant. Conspiracy theories generally involve an illegal or harmful act carried
out by the government or other powerful actors. The Moon landing is still one of the biggest
conspiracy theories in the world. After forty–eight years it is still being debated and discussed in
many laboratories, and classrooms across the globe. On July 20, 1969, two American astronauts by
the name of Neil Armstrong, and Buzz Aldrin allegedly, landed safely on the moon. The entire world
was shocked, especially the Soviet Union. On that day many people were ... Show more content on

Some people have reason to believe that the dark interior of the space shuttle looked like the
darkness of space, and the circular window gave the circular shape of the earth. The film also states
that one of the astronauts used a crescent shape to alter the shape of the earth as they drifted farther
into space. The consistency of the video was also at question. The film shows decent quality color
video inside of the spaceship, but the film on the moon was black and white. Many conspiracy
theorists claim that the video footage was leaked from NASA by accident. When the video footage
was leaked conspiracy theorist dissected the footage and made a hypothesis of how the footage was
produced. NASA says that every theory is false and they stand behind their statements firm.
What motivated the moon landing?
The moon landing was highly motivated by the space race between the United States, and the Soviet
Union. The space race caused a very tense tone in each country, as they both were trying to be the
first to make it into space. The Soviet Union made the first milestone by launching Sputnik into the
earth's orbit on October 4, 1957. Sputnik was the world 's first manmade satellite to make it into
outer space. This was such a frightening time for the United States. The United States did not know
if it was sent to space for a nuclear launch or

The Pros And Cons Of The Moon Landing
For the last forty years people have been arguing whether if the Moon landings were real. The Moon
landings occurred during the late 1960's and into the early 1970's. During this time the United States
and the Soviet Union were in a competition known as the Space Race. The main objective during
the Space Race was for one country to put a man on the Moon. The competition was getting intense,
and both countries began expanding their space programs. During the Space Race and the Apollo
missions NASA created over 400,000 jobs making it impossible for all of the workers to keep the
events a secret if it were fake (Riley). The technology between the two countries was also top of the
line at that time. The Soviet Union could track down the United States every move, so therefore if
the moon landings were fake; the Soviet Union would clearly know (Allen). With the technological
advancements and the jobs created throughout the process of the Apollo missions, it's obvious that
NASA did not fake the Moon landings. Conspiracy theorists believe that the evidence of the flag
waving in space, the lighting from the pictures, and the strange shadows from the pictures create it
obvious that the Moon landings were all a hoax. Conspiracy theorists claim these areas for the Moon
landing being fake, and in the end they believe that the moon landings were done in a T.V. studio to
give the affect that the Moon landings were in fact real. The flag waving is the largest claim that

United States and no one else has ever landed on the moon. While this may seem hard to believe, a
surprising number of people believe that it was all a big hoax. The controversy over whether the
United States went to the moon is becoming popular and conspiracy theorists are convincing people

As time goes on, many more theories will develop but none of them will prove we did not land on
the moon. Today people create fake websites dedicated solely to faking and hoaxing the moon
landings. No matter how much photo shopping and how much editing, the facts remain. Many
people do not understand the boundaries of the atmosphere and they have no clue what it is like to
be up in space. In the end, many of the claims come from people simply not understanding the
principles of photography and physics. That is fine. We must remember: There is a difference

9/11: A Conspiracy Theory
A conspiracy theory is usually defined as an attempt to explain the ultimate cause of an important
societal event as part of some sinister plot conjured up by a secret alliance of powerful individuals
and organizations (Linden para 4). There are always two sides to a story, and there is a major
amount of evidence to support both sides. Major conspiracy theories would be, if 9/11 had actually
be planned by the United States government, whether Barack Obama was a legal citizen to be the
president of the United States, and the most argued conspiracy theory, if man had ever truly stepped
foot on the moon. Everyone is expected by the government to believe the moon landing had actually
occurred. Little do people actually know, there is a tremendous ... Show more content on

However, moon landing photographs are the main argument for the Apollo conspiracy believers.
The hundreds of photos from the moon landing have mistakes discovered on them, for example, in
the pictures, the shadows are in different directions than in the correct alignment of the object
reflecting a shadow. With the mistakes reveled in the photos projecting false shadows, has led the
believers of the faked moon landing a conspiracy. Additionally, the photos and videos show there are
no stars in the sky which is impossible and the stars not being in the sky is one of the most constant
arguments accumulated with the moon landing. The cameras used on the Apollo mission were
equipped with manual light filters which is similar to the human's eye pupil, and the white suits the
astronauts wear must have a reflection from the sun and the moon's surface but they do not in the
photos. The photos from the moon landing have multiple light sources shinning on the surroundings,
and the sun is the only light source while on the moon, but the shadows are in different directions
rather than from only the sun. When the believers of the conspiracy see the photos, and realize the
only possible way serval light sources could be shinning in those photos would have been taken in a
movie studio in Hollywood. Additionally, another picture presents two astronauts with one of the
astronauts' shadow bent, and scientists believe the bent shadow came from a light fixture in the
studio. The picture Buzz Aldrin took of the earth, an astronaut on the Apollo mission, and the photo
was 130,000 miles away from him when he snatched the photo. On the mission, this picture was the
very first view ever taken of Earth, but the window frame on the left of the shot made people
wonder. According to NASA, crosshairs were built insides the cameras that would help the
astronauts calculate distances on the moon (Anonymous para 9).

Conspiracy Theories Surrounding The Assessination of John...
Conspiracy theories surround the average human in the world of education. Whether the average
person chooses to ignore them or to accept them is one thing, but before any one person should put
their faith in any one conspiracy theory, you must first study all the facts of that specific theory.
There are hundreds of conspiracy theories that have been nagging at humanity for years; however,
there are three main conspiracies that stick out more than others. The first being the JFK conspiracy
theory, second is the moon landing conspiracy, and last the Illuminati.
The John F. Kennedy assassination is and always will be one of the most controversial topics of all
time. Perhaps the world will never know what was behind the fateful events of John F. Kennedy's
assassination on November 22, 1961. Many different groups have generated various theories as to
the culprits behind the JFK assassination. Each grouping would claim to have the correct answer to
the never–ending mystery. However, questions still exist concerning every single theory proposed.
(Jim Mars XV) The accused killer of John F. Kennedy is Lee Harvey Oswald. If Oswald was the
lone killer of President Kennedy, then one would think that all the information regarding the details
of the assassination would have been forgotten over time (Jim Mars XV). James A. Garfield was the

Moon Landing Conspiracy Theories
Many people think that the moon landing was faked. Lots of people think it was just done in some
studio in Hollywood. But why do people think its fake? People think it is faked because of some of
the pictures the "astronauts" took up on the moon.
Many human beings think the moon landing was faked because of the pictures. In the background
there are no stars in any of the pictures. Even some pictures there is a crater in the back that looks
exactly the same but the stuff is just moved. Some pictures in the middle you can even see a line
which looks like the bottom of a backdrop.
There are even more pictures that looked faked like under the ship there was no landing crater. And
it looks like there are studio light glares in some pictures. witnesses also say that the spaceship that
they launched didn't even go to space, people say it only had fuel to reach the ocean somewhere,

But even with the flag with the wire in it the bottom of the flag was still waving. And with the

aliens could be a possibility because when russia went to the moon there were theories that the

In 1969 NASA decided to send Apollo 11 astronauts, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael
Collins. Armstrong was the first to step foot on the moon, the other two came later. These moments
were captured on television cameras by Eagle. Armstrong took moon samples and photographs as
soon as he landed on the moon. The conspiracy theory claims that the elements of the moon
landings were hoaxes by NASA with other organization. The public made conspiracy claims since
the 1970s and claim that NASA and others knowingly faked the whole moon landing by
manufacturing, tampering with, or destroying evidence including pictures, tapes, radio and

In 2009 the American patriot friend's network claimed that the landings helped the U.S. government
use the landings to distract the public from the Vietnam War. The landings ended around the same
time as the U.S. ended its involvement with the war. It is proven that the moon landings was in no
relation to the end of U.S. involvement in Vietnam. Many conspiracies claim that the landings did
not happen and that NASA employees have lied or say that the landings did happen but not in the
way that has been told. The public's whole idea was that the whole moon landing program was a
hoax from the beginning. Some claim that the technology that sends men to the moon was lacking or
that the solar flares or wind made the trip impossible. Conspiracists claim the landing are a hoax
because of the photos and films, the environment, mechanical issues, and transmissions.
Conspiracists look mostly at the pictures and films that were taken from the moon. They point out
oddities. They say in some pictures, crosshairs seem to be behind objects which is a sign of the
picture being cropped or rotated for aesthetic impact. The pictures quality seems to be implausibly
high by many poor–quality photos taken by the Apollo astronauts and used high resolution. Lastly

The first fact to go against the moon landing theory is when Stuart Robbins states, "If you have
managed to get this far and still believe this claim, then let's actually get to what's really going on.
Have you ever scanned or photocopied something? If so, you know that any little piece of dirt, hair,
dust, or whatever that gets between your original and your imaging device will show up in the copy.
That is what happened in the case of the infamous "C" rock – a hair (such as an eyelash) or a small
piece of lint got caught between the image and the imager when they were making copies of it. Plain
and simple. In the original photograph (close up shown below), there is no C."' This confirms that it
was just some hair or fine particle that came between the camera and the rock. The second piece of
evidence that rebuttals against the moon landing conspiracy theory is when Scott Davis states, "But

Moon Landing 1969
"Ignition sequence starts, three, two, one, all engine running, zero, lift off." On July 16th 9:32 a.m.,

controversies were raised on the authenticity of this event. Many critics of the lunar landing believe
that this event was a hoax perpetuated to deceive the society. The debate, whether the moon landing

"Even if scientists wanted to make something like a Moon rock by, say, bombarding an Earth rock
with high energy atomic nuclei, they couldn 't" (Phillips). In addition, Phillip C. Plait agrees with
Tony Phillips and comes to the same conclusions. For example he states there are no stars in the
picture because, "The stars are too faint to be seen in the images" (Plait 159). However, unlike Tony
Phillips, Plait explains the scientific reasons in depth. He claims astronauts have survived the
incredibly high temperature of the Moon due to simple date counting. He explains, "Moon spins on
its axis once every 27 days ... [which] means ... two weeks of sunlight and two weeks of darkness...
the surface doesn't heat up the instant the sunlight touches it...It takes days for the lunar surface to
get to its high temperature..." (Plait 166).
The author of the paper believes the moon landing of 1969 really happened. The main reasons
coming to this conclusion is that the lies could not be told by such huge amount of people and the
theories can be all explained and understood with a little studying on physics and astronomy. If this
were a hoax, more than a handful of people would have spoken up the secret. The author of this
paper also believes that the photos and the films from NASA are real evidences, but have been
misinterpreted due to the lack of knowledge on astronomy and physics. This topic still remains to be
debated over because the moon landing was

Americans DID Land on the Moon
In the later days of May in 1961, President John F. Kennedy announced before a special joint
session of Congress, his ambitious goal of sending a human to the moon before the end of the
decade. However, this enormous goal, that would appear to be a catalyst for domestic pride, has as
many ties to the Cold War, as it does to the moon itself. Regardless of this, when Apollo 11 landed
on the moon in July of 1969, the entire country rejoiced. While some doubted the motives of
Kennedy's goal, a bigger conspiracy may have lay just beneath the surface; a conspiracy that could
have shaken the entire country and enraged the world. Many well known scientists and government
officials claim that the United States of America never actually landed a man on the moon, and that
the government faked the entire event for both political and financial gain. Although much
compelling evidence and contradictions have been brought to light by the conspiracists, NASA has
successfully responded to all of these in a robust and educated manor, that fully enforces the fact
that the United States of America did in fact land a man on the moon. The United States has never
been a country that shies away from a political advantage, and that is exactly one of the many
alleged motives for them to fake a moon landing. In the height of the Cold War tensions could not

Pros And Cons Of The Moon Landing
Asid from Aliens and Ufos being kept at Area 51, another popular conspiracy theory is the 1969
moon landing was staged at Area 51. A scenario by a conspiracy writer states that NASA knew that
at the time it would be impossible to send astronauts to the moon because of the risk of lethal
radiation. The moon landing had to be faked to avoid embarrassment and ensure future funding for
NASA. On the day of the rocket launch, they staged an actual rocket launch but no one was inside.
The Apollo crew was transferred to Area 51 where there was a movie stage set up to record the fake
landing. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin then acted out the lunar landing and NASA transmitted out
to the millions of viewers. Technology was available at the time to create a movie set that looked
like the moon and film quality believable footage. One woman claimed to see a Coca Cola bottle roll
across the bottom of her screen while watching the live broadcast of the moon landing proving that
it was filmed at Area 51. Other than pure embarrassment being avoided the landing had to be staged
in order to meet Kennedy's 1961 goal of landing a man on the moon before 1970.Coincidentally
they walked on the moon in 1969 one year before the deadline Kennedy had set. The moon landing
would also be a great distraction from the unpopular vietnam war and keep the American public`s

Conspiracy Theories: Moon Landing Essay
Conspiracy theories have been around since the beginning of time. When NASA sent the first landed
on the moon, there are people who believed that NASA faked the moon landings. Men, such as Bill
Kaysing, the Flat Earth Society, and Davie Groves, and Bart Sibrel, have written books, delivered
lectures, and made videos about why they believed NASA faked the moon landings. Based on their
observations which include no stars in their pictures, NASA's drive to beat the Russians to the

This is just one example of the moon landing being a hoax. They used the same backdrop for
different photos that were supposed to be in different areas of the moon. NASA claims that the only
light source for taking the photographs was the sun. One example of such a photo, is of Armstrong
and Aldrin planting the flag. If the photo was taken by using only the light of the sun for a light
source, then why is Aldrin's shadow longer than Armstrong's shadow? If the sun was the only source
for light then the shadows should not have been so unequal (Overstreet). Why did so many NASA
Moonscape photos have non parallel shadows? Skeptics will tell you because there is two sources of
light on the Moon, which is the Sun and the Earth. That maybe the case, but the shadows would still
fall in the same direction, not two or three different angles and Earth shine would have no effect
during the bright lunar day which was the time at which the Apollo was on the Moon. In October

Moon Conspiracy
We did land on the moon There are many people who believed that we did land on the moon, but
then there are many others who do not believe we landed on the moon. There are many points that
they try to prove to say that we did not land on the moon such as the flag movement, no stars, and
that the shadows were messed up. There are many ways to prove them wrong with the proof they
have that we landed on the moon.
Conspiracy theorists have pointed out that we did not land on the moon with many points such as
the flag was moving. According to Josh Fox, one of several authors from Listverse, " Photos of the
landing also seem to show rippling in a breeze, which clearly shows a fold in the flag. The obvious
problem here is that there's no air ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Josh Fox, one of several authors from Listverse, "The moon landing hoax is the total
lack of stars in any of the photographic/video evidence. There are no clouds on the moon, so stars
are perpetually visible and significantly brighter than what we see through the filter of Earth's
atmosphere" (Moon landings could be a hoax). According to Erin Ruberry, Washington, D.C.–based
writer and editor specializing in digital media, "The reason that the stars do not show up on the film
is that the stars are so dim that the camera cannot gather enough of their light in a short exposure.
Our eyes are a lot more sensitive to light than photographic film" (Reason for no stars). Another
reason from Brent Sibly, author from def–logic.com/cached–source, "The moon is a very bright
whitish object, which reflects the light from the sun as brightly as snow. Since the astronauts were
constantly surrounded by the bright reflecting surface of the moon, they were always brightly lit"
(We went to the moon). The mythbusters proved that the astronauts and camera did not pick the
stars by making similar dust to the moon and shined light on the dust and it reflected brightly and
the brighter the moon is the harder it is to see the moon. And like what Erin Ruberry said the
photographic lense could not pick up the stars from them being

Apollo 11 Footprint Essay
The Most Important Footprint
Twenty–Six year old Laura Polacek tucked her children into bed at 8:30 P.M. on an exceedingly
warm Sunday in July. The exact date was July 20th, 1969. Laura walked back into her cramped
living room to join her husband, sister, two cousins, and mother. The television was on Channel 3,
broadcasting the coverage of NASA's first Moon landing. Apollo 11 had landed on the Moon's
surface at 8:18 P.M. Six hours later, Neil Armstrong emerged from the capsule at 2:38AM, climbed
down the modules latter and became the first man to place his foot on the moon. Laura Polacek's
recollection, nearly forty–seven years after the fact, of this event is similar to those who watched all
over the world (Polacek). From July 16th to July 24th, 1969, six hundred million people had their
eyes on NASA; more specifically, Apollo 11 (Reed). For this time, this had been the most people to
watch a broadcasted event on television ever. A combination of strenuous preparation and dedication
made it possible for the United States to be the first country to put a man on the moon. This
milestone left a tremendous impact on not only the United States, but other countries as well.

NASA wanted this first Moon landing mission to pave the way for future Apollo lunar landing
missions. The three most prominent names attached to Apollo 11 are Neil Armstrong (Commander),
Buzz Aldrin (Command Module Pilot), and Michael Collins (Lunar Module Pilot). Since the
spacecraft could not land safely on the Moon and be able to take the men back to Earth, one of the
men had to stay in the module and fly it around the Moon until the other men were ready to leave.
This was Michael Collins job. While the Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were on the Moon, they

Speech On The Moon Landing
In history, one of the greatest achievement known to mankind is the Apollo 11 moon landing. On
July 20, 1969, the spaceflight known as the lunar module Eagle, landed the first three humans on the
moon (NASA). The first human to step, and leave a footprint on the moon was mission commander,
Neil Armstrong. Climbing down the ladder, the words that he said are still reminisced to this day,
"That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind" (NASA). The other two who were also
part of this accomplishment was the pilot, Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, and Michael Collins.
Before this historic triumph, almost a decade before it occurred, the 35th president of the Unites
States, John F. Kennedy, on May 25, 1961, he proposed to the world the ambitious goal to put a man
on the moon "before the decade if out" (Logsdon 37). John F. Kennedy truly believed that it was
only a matter of time for them to make it possible since their technology was already too advanced.
There has been so much more that humans have been capable of and landing on the moon sure was
going to be one of them. As technology advances, humans are capable of so much more, such as
discovering nuclear power, the invention of the television, satellites, and computers. These have
proven that the intellectual knowledge in humans keeps expanding every single day, making it
possible to make more discoveries and accomplishments. John F. Kennedy was not able to witness
such success because two years later, after his speech, he

American History Is Responsible For The Creation Of...
American history is responsible for the creation of conspiracy theories for famous ideas and events
constructed by the government and made available for the public to either believe or disbelieve a
hoax or phenomena. Merriam–Webster defines conspiracy as "a theory that explains an event or set
of circumstances as the result of a secret plot by usually powerful conspirators." A popular theory to
be defined as an alleged hoax is the end to the "Space Race," accomplished by the United States of
America's Apollo 11 mission that successfully brought Commander, Neil A. Armstrong and Lunar
Module Pilot, Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr. to the surface of the moon. Neil Armstrong, a public icon, is

Trial and error was the focus for forging a successful mission's launch vehicle and spacecraft. Sadly,
after setback of a launch fire that killed three training astronauts, Apollo 7, yielded the first success
in systems and structure on October 1968. 9:32 A.M. at Kennedy Space Center. Subsequently,
Armstrong, Buzz, and Michael Collins launched Apollo 11 and entered lunar orbit on July 19th,
1969. In fact, upon landing Apollo 11 on the surface of the moon, Armstrong radioed Mission
Control and relayed another famous phrase, "The Eagle has landed." These four words signified a
successful moon landing. At the height of a growing conspiracy, a television camera that was
attached to the spacecraft captured Armstrong's progress down the module's ladder. Buzz joined
Armstrong a few minutes later where they spent the night on the surface of the moon, constructing
the American flag, as well as, a plaque that read, "Here men from the planet Earth first set foot on
the moon–July 1969 A.D–We came in peace for all mankind."
Skeptics of the success of Apollo 11 claim the appearance of the American flag waves in the lunar
wind as shown in pictures brought back to Earth as their proof that the flag was never planted. While
the debunkers of the Apollo missions would be correct that a flag erected on the moon's surface
would not wave in the wind like the photographs pictured, background exists to validate otherwise.

Space Landing Pros And Cons
"That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind," Neil Armstrong said on July 20th,
1969. Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon and he was accompanied by Buzz Aldrin.
Apollo 11 launched on July 16th, 1969 and landed on the moon on July 20th, 1969. The objective of
the space landing was a national goal set by John F. Kennedy. Armstrong and Aldrin spent 21 hours
on the moon with seven hours of sleep. But is this all true, or is it all a lie?
Body of Research:
On July 20th, 1969 Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin set foot on the moon. Or did they?
Actually, yes, NASA did, but that hasn't stopped conspiracy theories from surfacing. Conspiracy
theorists have made people believe that humans never set foot on the lunar surface, and that the
entire effort was massively staged. In many of pictures of the landing, the American flag that Neil
Armstrong put up has ripples. But how is this possible, once you put it on surface there is no wind?
Well scientists have said that the flag's edges are pulled taut. They said when you do this effect,
which was done purposely, you put a stiff wire into the fabric. They did this because instead of
letting the flag hang flat, the wire creates ripples.
Another conspiracy is that they're multiple shadows in the moon photos prove there was more than
one source of light. Again scientist debunked this theory too. When taking the pictures the astronauts
were on a hilly, brightly–lit landscape while the sun was close to the

The Moon Landing Was A Hoax Essay
What if the first moon landing by America was all a hoax? Three American Astronauts named Neil
Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. These men flew on the Apollo 11 and are famous for
being the first men to step on the moon. One of the biggest conspiracy theories is that the whole
1969 Moon landing was all faked and filmed in a studio in Hollywood, California. The Moon
landing in 1969 supposedly did not happen and there is documentation evidence, experts testimony,
and physical evidence to prove that it did not happen. There is physical evidence that can prove on
how the moon landing is a hoax. One of the popular evidences that it is a hoax is that in the videos
and pictures of the men on the moon, in the distance of space there is absolutely no stars in sight.
"The photographs on the moon don't show any stars in the sky," (5 Goofy Moon landing Hoax
Theories, 2017 p.30). That is why a lot of people believed this was faked and filmed in a studio. The
second piece of physical evidence is how when they stuck the American flag in the ground it was
waving like there is wind in space. "There's no wind on the moon, so how come the flag was
blowing in a breeze?" (5 Goofy Moon landing Hoax Theories, 2017 p.30). On the moon there is no
atmosphere like here on earth so there can't be any reasonable explanation as to why the flags
moving but NASA has tried. The final part of my physical evidence is one of the most famous. In a

United States have formed our country to a nationalist society. On July 20th, 1969, the Mission

these three astronauts on the moon. Recently though, many discussions of the Apollo 11 mission

When the footage was done being aired, it was stored at Goddard Space Flight Center. Records
indicate the tapes were moved to the U.S. National Archives in 1970. The reasons are still unknown,
but about 700 boxes of the SSTV tapes were returned to Goddard in 1984. After 1984, they were
never looked at again, and nobody has any idea of the whereabouts of the tapes. ( NASA loses
original tapes of Apollo 11 moon landing) Without all of this evidence how could anyone still
believe the landing happened? Well, the answer to that question is, the government kept this secret
from Americans and still does. Without investigating this topic, all the information to prove the
moon landing to be a hoax is misunderstood. The loss of evidence should also show that NASA is
keeping something from all of the citizens in the United States. NASA never made clear plans to
return from the Apollo 11 mission. NASA officials stated how long the mission would take, who
was involved, when the astronauts would leave and when the astronauts would land in space. NASA
never released when the astronauts were to return back from space, or how long that would take. It
is suspicious for many people who are just starting to look at the conspiracy because the NASA
officials in charge of the mission should have given those plans ahead of time. NASA stated that the

Argumentative Essay On Apollo 51
Apollo 51: The Surface of the Moon or a Sound Stage in Nevada ?
It was a long anticipated summer night, when millions of Americans crowded around their bulky
television screens. It was 1969, America had recently passed through the height of the Cold War, but
their relationship with the Soviet Union continued to become more hostile. There was no clear
winner in sight, and America was desperate for a definitive victory, it was this moment, in this very
moment that they finally had one, and they clung to it. This moment was, of course, the Apollo 11
moon landing on the 20th of July, 1969. However, as with many famous events captured in the
public eye, it wasn't long before conspiracies began to unfold. Some began to question the validity
of the photographs and videos associated with the moon landings, others made claims that the
government couldn't possibly have had the technology necessary to successfully land on the moon,
and some even went as far as to point out the exact set and director that supposedly filmed the
hoaxed moon landings. I first became aware of the conspiracy surrounding the moon landings about
two years ago when I watched a documentary on the topic and naturally, being the patriotic
American that I am, I sided with NASA without considering any evidence on either side of the
argument, but recently, the topic was brought up in conversation and it stuck an interest within me.
So in this essay I will throw my preconceived notions out the metaphorical window,

Conspiracy theorists have also argued that there should have been a freshly gouged crater where the
lunar module's descent engine blasted into the lunar soil. However Bizony rebuffs this myth by
explaining that the powdery lunar soil was disturbed by the downward pointing jet of the exhaust,
but the thrust was not enough to create a crater in the topsoil, much less even be able to penetrate the
hard rocky substrate (Bizony, It was all a fake, right?, 2009). The website, moonlandinghoax.org
explains that the lunar module had six–foot long landing probes under the foot pads and when they
registered contact the engines would stop firing and the module would fall gently the rest of the way
(Moon landing hoax). Since the engines stopped firing approximately six feet before landing, there
was not enough blast pressure to create a crater. The article stated that a firecracker would have
more power than the engines did after they ceased to fire (Moon landing hoax). The conspiracy
theorists have even gone as far to say that NASA even murdered astronauts in order to help keep this
monumental hoax a secret. One of these instances included the accidental deaths of three astronauts;
Ed White, Roger Chaffee, and Guss Grissom; that died in a fire while testing an Apollo spacecraft
(Moon landing hoax). After the fire, investigations went on and it was determined that the fire was

The Moon landings during the 1960's and 1970's were the largest world events at the time. Millions

On the Moon there is no wind, so therefore the flag should not ripple and wave in space. Conspiracy
theorists believe that this correlates with the T.V. studio conspiracy; they believe that there was a
breeze in the studio making the flag wave (Platoff). NASA planned out the entire situation of
planting the flag into the Moon's surface. NASA wanted to design a simple and easily assembled
flagpole because the astronauts were wearing space suits. The flagpole was designed with a two–
part telescoping pole kit with a telescoping crossbar. During the event of the flag being planted it
was said, "Armstrong and Aldrin reported few problems with deployment. They had trouble

The reason for the lack of stars is similar to why we cannot see stars during the daytime–it's because
of the sun's light. Due to the moon lacking an atmosphere, even during the day the sky is pitch black
(http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/debunking–myth–that–moon–landing–was–hoax–1457501). Also, an
article in The Telegraph, "Apollo 11 Moon landing: conspiracy theories debunked", the Apollo

moon's surface, sun, and the black sky, the stars are simply not bright enough to be captured in
photographs. Another reason for the lack of stars is the exposure time settings on the cameras used
for the moon landing. The cameras were using fast exposure settings, approximately 1/150th or

Apollo 11 Moon Landing Conspiracy
The Apollo 11 Moon Landing Conspiracy
Officially Accepted Story
During the 1960's and 70's, America and the USSR were in the midst of the Cold War Era, a period
of time where instead of fighting each other they competed against each other in order to be the first
nation to win the space race and that meant landing a human on the moon and have them return
safely before the other country.
In 1961 Russia was ahead of America in the space race after managing to launch Yuri Gagarin into
space, have him orbit the earth and return him safely , 23 days before American astronaut Alan B
Shepard was able too. In response to trailing behind Russia, President John F. Kennedy gave a
speech at Rice University Stadium in which he challenged America to find a way to put a man on
the moon and return him safely before the end of the decade.
After launching from the Kennedy space centre on July 20th 1969 the crew of Apollo 11 orbited the
earth one and a half times before being given permission to go to the moon, three days later the crew
are in orbit around the moon. Six hours after the lunar module lands on the moons surface, Neil

and bodies were taken to Area 51 to be tested and experimented on. The wreckage occurred just

It might be crazy to think about that the moon landing was fake. The moon landing is one of the
biggest things that ever occured for mankind. The moon landing was something that most people
just believe and never questions. But it possibly could have been staged or fake. "With the photos
and videos of the Apollo missions only available through NASA, there's no independent verification
that the lunar landings were anything but a hoax"(conspiracy theories). With that information it
raises suspicion was the first apollo mission staged at Area 51. The film of Aldrin holding the flag

Moon Landing : Conspiracy Or Reality?
Moon Landing: Conspiracy or Reality?
It wasn 't until I really sat down and thought about it that I realized the moon landing was
questionable. As a kid I always thought it would be amazing to be an astronaut so the thought that
maybe there is no real astronauts at all had me concerned. On July 20th 1969, the Apollo 11 with
astronaut Neil Armstrong and his crew, guided by thousands of NASA technicians, supposedly
landed in the surface of the moon. This landing at its time was considered the most amazing
technological advancement in the history of mankind. The moon landing is something that everyone
knows about but as it turns out about 20% americans and 50% or Ukrainians don 't believe the moon
landing really happened, here 's why.
The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The fulfillment of that promise is what had people asking questions.
The Apollo 11 started and completed its journey at the same time the United States was fighting in
Vietnam. It was a very stressful time for the U.S.A. so the government may have used the moon
landing to keep people 's minds off the awful things that were happening. There 's no doubt it was an
extraordinary event as well as one of the greatest accomplishments of all times; one fact used by the
hoax believers to support this argument is that coincidentally the Apollo missions came to an end
around the same time that the war was ending. The peace with Vietnam was established in October
1972, and it was in December of that same year that the last NASA space shuttle, Apollo 17, ended
its voyage. Could it be just a coincidence that the USA abruptly stopped going to the moon around
the same time the Vietnam War ended or was it just part of an ingenious plan; a plan that tried to
gain people's trust in a period where no one agreed with the decisions that the government was
making.
By researching and understanding the political background that existent in the late 60's, we can find
a good answer to the question of why the US would fake an event as important as the first man
landing on a celestial body. However, the analysis of the political background is not enough to
support the conspiracy theory; knowing this, the conspiracy theorist have other "evidence".

Apollo 11 Persuasive Essay
So in this essay I will throw my preconceived notions out the metaphorical window, and I will
attempt an unbiased investigation to find out where my

Moon Landing Conspiracy And Its Effects On The World Essay

  • 1. Moon Landing Conspiracy And Its Effects On The World Essay Moon Landing Conspiracy The United States and Mankind have gone on to do many amazing feats that were once though impossible. However, nothing comes to be quite as amazing as the Apollo 11 mission that landed the first men on the surface of the moon. At the time this act caused widespread celebration, and cheer. Over the years some people started to doubt the legitimacy of what occurred on that day back in 1969. These people came on to form the basis of the moon landing conspiracy theory. A theory that states that the United States never landed on the moon and the United States faked the whole thing in order to say they won the space race against the Soviet Union and increase moral during the time of the Cold war. Some of the core arguments that form the Moon landing Hoax conspiracy are that the mission would have been too dangerous with the technology we had at the time. They disregard any footage from the event, believing that NASA and the US government created a fake set in an undisclosed location and used special effects to make the footage seem more believable. All of the claims made by these hoax believers can be refuted with science and common sense, and that is what this paper sets out to do. The Apollo missions were huge efforts that required thousands of scientists, workers and contractors to come together. So how is it that thousands of people can come together to create what was a fake mission without one person coming forward and leaking the fact that all of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 3. Apollo Moon Landing Conspiracy Essay Every epic moment in modern history inevitably spawns a tangled web of conspiracy theories, and the Apollo moon landings are no exception. From the moment astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin set foot on the lunar surface on July 21, 1969, some believed it was all an elaborate ruse staged by NASA on a Hollywood soundstage in spite of the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. (Of course, a different conspiracy camp believes man first landed on the moon a quarter–century before the Apollo astronauts when the Nazis established a top–secret lunar base where Adolf Hitler lived out his final years.) Even the photographic evidence of the Apollo 11 astronauts on the moon has been seized by moon landing conspiracy theorists as proof of the hoax. In particular, they point to an iconic color photograph of Aldrin ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Only it wasn't a studio light, but the man taking that photograph–Armstrong. "We found a clip of videotape that was shot from the other side of the ladder," Daly said. "There is a huge glowing bright white light. And as we analyzed that video a little more we realized it's Neil Armstrong himself. The bright white spacesuit that he was wearing reflected all that sunlight off of him and back onto Buzz Aldrin so essentially Neil Armstrong himself was a light source in that scene." While moon dust reflects about 12 percent of the sun's light, the spacesuits worn by the Apollo astronauts were virtual mirrors constructed of materials that reflected 85 percent of the light that struck them, and Armstrong was bathed in full sunlight as he took Aldrin's photograph. Once the Nvidia engineers adjusted for the reflectivity of Armstrong's suit, the lighting in the virtual rendering nearly matched the actual photograph and proved that Aldrin could have appeared illuminated in the Eagle's shadow with the sun as the sole lighting ... • 5. The Reasons Of The Moon Landing Conspiracy Theory Moon Landing Conspiracy Theory On July 20th, 1969, the first man ever stepped on the moon.. Or so we thought, there are many people who believe moon landings were faked, whether it be apollo Mission 11, 12, or any other number NASA put on there is up to the public. Let's start with Apollo Mission 11. July 20th, 1969, "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." claimed Armstrong when he first stepped. Apollo 11 The Flag The first conspiracy theory being covered is the Flag, When the flag is placed on the moon, it's to be seen as waving in the air, however, many know that as you start going up through the atmosphere, the air starts to thin and in space there isn't air for the flag to be waving through. When NASA was confronted, they responded with saying that there were wrinkles in the flag, my question to NASA is, if the flag was wrinkled it wouldn't have mattered anyway because, wouldn't the flag have been drooping? Photography Next conspiracy theory is, the photography. There are many pictures showing the astronauts without cameras or any of those sorts of things. NASA had claimed that cameras were to be placed on chests yet in a picture of one of the astronauts, no camera is seen, but in the visor you can see the second astronaut clearly who, you guessed it, doesn't have a camera either. If neither of the two have cameras, who's is taking these pictures? Stars Space is known for its planets and stars but in all the pictures, the stars are missing. NASA ... • 7. Essay On Conspiracy Theory Conspiracy Theory Research Paper Conspiracy theories are designed to make sense even though they are entirely false. They also get out of control when they get a huge following of people that haven't put time into research to tell if the theory is valid or not. When ridiculous conspiracy theories come up, they can be easily debunked. I will go over multiple conspiracy theories and being to prove them wrong by breaking them down and presenting facts that make these theories not possible. The first theory is the Moon Landing conspiracy theory. This theory goes back to the Apollo 11 moon landing. Theorists believe that the moon landing was all faked in an attempt to beat Russia in the "Space Race". Some "proof" they claim to have is "when the astronauts are putting up the American flag it waves, there is no wind on the moon". The flag is held up by a horizontal bar and simply moves when it is unfurled and as the pole is being fixed into position by the astronauts the pole continues to vibrate after the astronauts let go. This gives the impression of blowing wind on the moon.(www.telegraph.co.uk). Another theory they present is "no stars are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is said that this panicked state led to this conspiracy theory. According to www.discovermagazine.com, one Sharm el–Sheikh diver named Captain Mustfa Ismail believes that the sharks were trained to attack Egyptians by the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad. After that a shark was discovered with a gps implanted in its back and the theory took flight. When asked by the anchor how sharks entered Sharm El Sheikh waters, he burst out "no, it's who let them in?". Apollo 11 Conspiracy There are so many conspiracies around the world and one of them is "Landing on the moon" when NANSA sent Apollo 11 to the moon on 1969 it was a shock and then after that people started to question it and now 20% of the united states believe that the government faked the landing while other believe they did land on the moon. Apollo 11 launched from Cape Kennedy on July 16, 1969, carrying Commander Neil Armstrong, Command Module Pilot Michael Collins and Lunar Module Pilot Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin into an initial Earth–orbit of 114 by 116 miles. An estimated 530 million people watched Armstrong's televised image and heard his voice describe the event as he took "...one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind" on July 20, 1969. Beneath the 2–4 inches of moon dust is a layer of solid rock, and the ship's engines blew the dust away as it landed on the remaining rock. Blasting a crater in such rock was not possible. Photos and movies taken during final descents clearly show this scattering of moon dust. The third claim of the theory was American flags planted on the moon appear to be slightly waving in a breeze, but of course there are no breezes on the lunar surface NASA says this is a common misconception, even among non–conspiracists. A conspiracy theory is an explanation of an event or situation that invokes a conspiracy without warrant. Conspiracy theories generally involve an illegal or harmful act carried out by the government or other powerful actors. The Moon landing is still one of the biggest conspiracy theories in the world. After forty–eight years it is still being debated and discussed in many laboratories, and classrooms across the globe. On July 20, 1969, two American astronauts by the name of Neil Armstrong, and Buzz Aldrin allegedly, landed safely on the moon. Some people have reason to believe that the dark interior of the space shuttle looked like the darkness of space, and the circular window gave the circular shape of the earth. The film also states that one of the astronauts used a crescent shape to alter the shape of the earth as they drifted farther into space. The consistency of the video was also at question. The film shows decent quality color video inside of the spaceship, but the film on the moon was black and white. Many conspiracy theorists claim that the video footage was leaked from NASA by accident. When the video footage was leaked conspiracy theorist dissected the footage and made a hypothesis of how the footage was produced. NASA says that every theory is false and they stand behind their statements firm. What motivated the moon landing? The moon landing was highly motivated by the space race between the United States, and the Soviet Union. The space race caused a very tense tone in each country, as they both were trying to be the first to make it into space. The Soviet Union made the first milestone by launching Sputnik into the earth's orbit on October 4, 1957. Sputnik was the world 's first manmade satellite to make it into outer space. • 15. The Pros And Cons Of The Moon Landing For the last forty years people have been arguing whether if the Moon landings were real. The Moon landings occurred during the late 1960's and into the early 1970's. During this time the United States and the Soviet Union were in a competition known as the Space Race. The main objective during the Space Race was for one country to put a man on the Moon. The competition was getting intense, and both countries began expanding their space programs. During the Space Race and the Apollo missions NASA created over 400,000 jobs making it impossible for all of the workers to keep the events a secret if it were fake (Riley). The technology between the two countries was also top of the line at that time. The Soviet Union could track down the United States every move, so therefore if the moon landings were fake; the Soviet Union would clearly know (Allen). With the technological advancements and the jobs created throughout the process of the Apollo missions, it's obvious that NASA did not fake the Moon landings. Conspiracy theorists believe that the evidence of the flag waving in space, the lighting from the pictures, and the strange shadows from the pictures create it obvious that the Moon landings were all a hoax. Conspiracy theorists claim these areas for the Moon landing being fake, and in the end they believe that the moon landings were done in a T.V. studio to give the affect that the Moon landings were in fact real. There are always two sides to a story, and there is a major amount of evidence to support both sides. Major conspiracy theories would be, if 9/11 had actually be planned by the United States government, whether Barack Obama was a legal citizen to be the president of the United States, and the most argued conspiracy theory, if man had ever truly stepped foot on the moon. However, moon landing photographs are the main argument for the Apollo conspiracy believers. The hundreds of photos from the moon landing have mistakes discovered on them, for example, in the pictures, the shadows are in different directions than in the correct alignment of the object reflecting a shadow. With the mistakes reveled in the photos projecting false shadows, has led the believers of the faked moon landing a conspiracy. Additionally, the photos and videos show there are no stars in the sky which is impossible and the stars not being in the sky is one of the most constant arguments accumulated with the moon landing. The cameras used on the Apollo mission were equipped with manual light filters which is similar to the human's eye pupil, and the white suits the astronauts wear must have a reflection from the sun and the moon's surface but they do not in the photos. The photos from the moon landing have multiple light sources shinning on the surroundings, and the sun is the only light source while on the moon, but the shadows are in different directions rather than from only the sun. When the believers of the conspiracy see the photos, and realize the only possible way serval light sources could be shinning in those photos would have been taken in a movie studio in Hollywood. Additionally, another picture presents two astronauts with one of the astronauts' shadow bent, and scientists believe the bent shadow came from a light fixture in the studio. The picture Buzz Aldrin took of the earth, an astronaut on the Apollo mission, and the photo was 130,000 miles away from him when he snatched the photo. On the mission, this picture was the very first view ever taken of Earth, but the window frame on the left of the shot made people wonder. Whether the average person chooses to ignore them or to accept them is one thing, but before any one person should put their faith in any one conspiracy theory, you must first study all the facts of that specific theory. There are hundreds of conspiracy theories that have been nagging at humanity for years; however, there are three main conspiracies that stick out more than others. The first being the JFK conspiracy theory, second is the moon landing conspiracy, and last the Illuminati. The John F. Kennedy assassination is and always will be one of the most controversial topics of all time. Perhaps the world will never know what was behind the fateful events of John F. Kennedy's assassination on November 22, 1961. Many different groups have generated various theories as to the culprits behind the JFK assassination. Each grouping would claim to have the correct answer to the never–ending mystery. However, questions still exist concerning every single theory proposed. (Jim Mars XV) The accused killer of John F. If Oswald was the lone killer of President Kennedy, then one would think that all the information regarding the details of the assassination would have been forgotten over time (Jim Mars XV). If so, you know that any little piece of dirt, hair, dust, or whatever that gets between your original and your imaging device will show up in the copy. Plain and simple. In the original photograph (close up shown below), there is no C."' This confirms that it was just some hair or fine particle that came between the camera and the rock. The second piece of evidence that rebuttals against the moon landing conspiracy theory is when Scott Davis states, "But in fact, the label simply isn't there. The image of the rock is taken from a much larger shot of the Moon's surface, and if you look at the original image (shown below left), the marking isn't there. For example he states there are no stars in the picture because, "The stars are too faint to be seen in the images" (Plait 159). However, unlike Tony Phillips, Plait explains the scientific reasons in depth. He claims astronauts have survived the incredibly high temperature of the Moon due to simple date counting. He explains, "Moon spins on its axis once every 27 days ... [which] means ... two weeks of sunlight and two weeks of darkness... the surface doesn't heat up the instant the sunlight touches it...It takes days for the lunar surface to get to its high temperature..." The main reasons coming to this conclusion is that the lies could not be told by such huge amount of people and the theories can be all explained and understood with a little studying on physics and astronomy. If this were a hoax, more than a handful of people would have spoken up the secret. The author of this paper also believes that the photos and the films from NASA are real evidences, but have been misinterpreted due to the lack of knowledge on astronomy and physics. • 33. Americans DID Land on the Moon In the later days of May in 1961, President John F. Kennedy announced before a special joint session of Congress, his ambitious goal of sending a human to the moon before the end of the decade. However, this enormous goal, that would appear to be a catalyst for domestic pride, has as many ties to the Cold War, as it does to the moon itself. Regardless of this, when Apollo 11 landed on the moon in July of 1969, the entire country rejoiced. While some doubted the motives of Kennedy's goal, a bigger conspiracy may have lay just beneath the surface; a conspiracy that could have shaken the entire country and enraged the world. Many well known scientists and government officials claim that the United States of America never actually landed a man on the moon, and that the government faked the entire event for both political and financial gain. Although much compelling evidence and contradictions have been brought to light by the conspiracists, NASA has successfully responded to all of these in a robust and educated manor, that fully enforces the fact that the United States of America did in fact land a man on the moon. The United States has never been a country that shies away from a political advantage, and that is exactly one of the many alleged motives for them to fake a moon landing. A scenario by a conspiracy writer states that NASA knew that at the time it would be impossible to send astronauts to the moon because of the risk of lethal radiation. The moon landing had to be faked to avoid embarrassment and ensure future funding for NASA. On the day of the rocket launch, they staged an actual rocket launch but no one was inside. The Apollo crew was transferred to Area 51 where there was a movie stage set up to record the fake landing. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin then acted out the lunar landing and NASA transmitted out to the millions of viewers. NASA claims that the only light source for taking the photographs was the sun. One example of such a photo, is of Armstrong and Aldrin planting the flag. If the photo was taken by using only the light of the sun for a light source, then why is Aldrin's shadow longer than Armstrong's shadow? If the sun was the only source for light then the shadows should not have been so unequal (Overstreet). Why did so many NASA Moonscape photos have non parallel shadows? Skeptics will tell you because there is two sources of light on the Moon, which is the Sun and the Earth. That maybe the case, but the shadows would still fall in the same direction, not two or three different angles and Earth shine would have no effect during the bright lunar day which was the time at which the Apollo was on the Moon. According to Erin Ruberry, Washington, D.C.–based writer and editor specializing in digital media, "The reason that the stars do not show up on the film is that the stars are so dim that the camera cannot gather enough of their light in a short exposure. The exact date was July 20th, 1969. Laura walked back into her cramped living room to join her husband, sister, two cousins, and mother. The television was on Channel 3, broadcasting the coverage of NASA's first Moon landing. Apollo 11 had landed on the Moon's surface at 8:18 P.M. Six hours later, Neil Armstrong emerged from the capsule at 2:38AM, climbed down the modules latter and became the first man to place his foot on the moon. Laura Polacek's recollection, nearly forty–seven years after the fact, of this event is similar to those who watched all over the world (Polacek). From July 16th to July 24th, 1969, six hundred million people had their eyes on NASA; more specifically, Apollo 11 (Reed). For this time, this had been the most people to watch a broadcasted event on television ever. A combination of strenuous preparation and dedication made it possible for the United States to be the first country to put a man on the moon. • 43. Speech On The Moon Landing In history, one of the greatest achievement known to mankind is the Apollo 11 moon landing. On July 20, 1969, the spaceflight known as the lunar module Eagle, landed the first three humans on the moon (NASA). The first human to step, and leave a footprint on the moon was mission commander, Neil Armstrong. Climbing down the ladder, the words that he said are still reminisced to this day, "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind" (NASA). The other two who were also part of this accomplishment was the pilot, Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, and Michael Collins. Before this historic triumph, almost a decade before it occurred, the 35th president of the Unites States, John F. Kennedy, on May 25, 1961, he proposed to the world the ambitious goal to put a man on the moon "before the decade if out" (Logsdon 37). John F. Kennedy truly believed that it was only a matter of time for them to make it possible since their technology was already too advanced. There has been so much more that humans have been capable of and landing on the moon sure was going to be one of them. As technology advances, humans are capable of so much more, such as discovering nuclear power, the invention of the television, satellites, and computers. American history is responsible for the creation of conspiracy theories for famous ideas and events constructed by the government and made available for the public to either believe or disbelieve a hoax or phenomena. Merriam–Webster defines conspiracy as "a theory that explains an event or set of circumstances as the result of a secret plot by usually powerful conspirators." A popular theory to be defined as an alleged hoax is the end to the "Space Race," accomplished by the United States of America's Apollo 11 mission that successfully brought Commander, Neil A. Sadly, after setback of a launch fire that killed three training astronauts, Apollo 7, yielded the first success in systems and structure on October 1968. 9:32 A.M. at Kennedy Space Center. Subsequently, Armstrong, Buzz, and Michael Collins launched Apollo 11 and entered lunar orbit on July 19th, 1969. In fact, upon landing Apollo 11 on the surface of the moon, Armstrong radioed Mission Control and relayed another famous phrase, "The Eagle has landed." These four words signified a successful moon landing. At the height of a growing conspiracy, a television camera that was attached to the spacecraft captured Armstrong's progress down the module's ladder. Buzz joined Armstrong a few minutes later where they spent the night on the surface of the moon, constructing the American flag, as well as, a plaque that read, "Here men from the planet Earth first set foot on the moon–July 1969 A.D–We came in peace for all mankind." Skeptics of the success of Apollo 11 claim the appearance of the American flag waves in the lunar wind as shown in pictures brought back to Earth as their proof that the flag was never planted. While the debunkers of the Apollo missions would be correct that a flag erected on the moon's surface would not wave in the wind like the photographs pictured, background exists to validate otherwise. Kirk set out on his 5 year long voyage in his starship, the Enterprise, with his crew–mates to go where no man has gone before. This isn't history but the air date and the synopsis for the fictional TV show Star Trek, about a captain and his crew exploring the wonders the galaxy. A great and fictional TV series Star Trek was, it is more surprising that in just approximately 3 years after this date, the human race was able to accomplish this feat. The human race was able to go where no man has gone before, to the moon, the landing of Apollo 11 on July 1969. What was thought to be a fictional concept told in stories has now become reality. ... Or did it really happen?, a generally question that would asked by conspiracy theorist. Conspiracy theorist would argue that in fact it didn't happen because it was too suspicious to be true. It could've been fabricated. Almost 40 years to present day, this conspiracy yet still remains. A matter evolving through time, its hard to say if this conspiracy is true due to it complexity, however its is still plausible to understand the context of this issue. • 49. Space Landing Pros And Cons "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind," Neil Armstrong said on July 20th, 1969. Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon and he was accompanied by Buzz Aldrin. Apollo 11 launched on July 16th, 1969 and landed on the moon on July 20th, 1969. The objective of the space landing was a national goal set by John F. Kennedy. Armstrong and Aldrin spent 21 hours on the moon with seven hours of sleep. But is this all true, or is it all a lie? Body of Research: On July 20th, 1969 Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin set foot on the moon. Or did they? Actually, yes, NASA did, but that hasn't stopped conspiracy theories from surfacing. Conspiracy theorists have made people believe that humans never set foot on the lunar surface, and that the entire effort was massively staged. In many of pictures of the landing, the American flag that Neil Armstrong put up has ripples. But how is this possible, once you put it on surface there is no wind? Well scientists have said that the flag's edges are pulled taut. They said when you do this effect, which was done purposely, you put a stiff wire into the fabric. They did this because instead of letting the flag hang flat, the wire creates ripples. Another conspiracy is that they're multiple shadows in the moon photos prove there was more than one source of light. Again scientist debunked this theory too. When taking the pictures the astronauts were on a hilly, brightly–lit landscape while the sun was close to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

There are many pieces of evidence showing that it could have been faked but there is also evidence showing that the moon landing could have also been real. I believe that the moon landing was not a hoax. The flag was blowing in the wind but how was it supposed to stop if there is no friction on the moon? • 53. The Moon Landing Was A Hoax Essay What if the first moon landing by America was all a hoax? Three American Astronauts named Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins. These men flew on the Apollo 11 and are famous for being the first men to step on the moon. One of the biggest conspiracy theories is that the whole 1969 Moon landing was all faked and filmed in a studio in Hollywood, California. The Moon landing in 1969 supposedly did not happen and there is documentation evidence, experts testimony, and physical evidence to prove that it did not happen. There is physical evidence that can prove on how the moon landing is a hoax. One of the popular evidences that it is a hoax is that in the videos and pictures of the men on the moon, in the distance of space there is absolutely no stars in sight. "The photographs on the moon don't show any stars in the sky," (5 Goofy Moon landing Hoax Theories, 2017 p.30). That is why a lot of people believed this was faked and filmed in a studio. The second piece of physical evidence is how when they stuck the American flag in the ground it was waving like there is wind in space. "There's no wind on the moon, so how come the flag was blowing in a breeze?" (5 Goofy Moon landing Hoax Theories, 2017 p.30). On the moon there is no atmosphere like here on earth so there can't be any reasonable explanation as to why the flags moving but NASA has tried. The final part of my physical evidence is one of the most famous. In a picture from the astronauts there is a moon rock ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 57. Apollo 11 Moon Landing/ Conspiracy Paper Sarah Sams Honors English 10/Mr. Brown 10 April, 2011 Apollo11 Moon Landing, Was it Just a Fake? Many accomplishments throughout the years, in the United States have formed our country to a nationalist society. On July 20th, 1969, the Mission Control Center in Houston, Texas received the call, "Houston", which confirmed the landing of these three astronauts on the moon. Recently though, many discussions of the Apollo 11 mission have astonished thoughts of many Americans. Conspiracy theorists are looking at the Moon Landing as a hoax and one big set up that Americans were fooled into believing actually happened. When the footage was done being aired, it was stored at Goddard Space Flight Center. Records indicate the tapes were moved to the U.S. National Archives in 1970. The reasons are still unknown, but about 700 boxes of the SSTV tapes were returned to Goddard in 1984. After 1984, they were never looked at again, and nobody has any idea of the whereabouts of the tapes. ( NASA loses original tapes of Apollo 11 moon landing) Without all of this evidence how could anyone still believe the landing happened? Well, the answer to that question is, the government kept this secret from Americans and still does. Without investigating this topic, all the information to prove the moon landing to be a hoax is misunderstood. The loss of evidence should also show that NASA is keeping something from all of the citizens in the United States. NASA never made clear plans to return from the Apollo 11 mission. NASA officials stated how long the mission would take, who was involved, when the astronauts would leave and when the astronauts would land in space. NASA never released when the astronauts were to return back from space, or how long that would take. It is suspicious for many people who are just starting to look at the conspiracy because the NASA officials in charge of the mission should have given those plans ahead of time. • 61. Argumentative Essay On Apollo 51 Apollo 51: The Surface of the Moon or a Sound Stage in Nevada ? It was a long anticipated summer night, when millions of Americans crowded around their bulky television screens. It was 1969, America had recently passed through the height of the Cold War, but their relationship with the Soviet Union continued to become more hostile. There was no clear winner in sight, and America was desperate for a definitive victory, it was this moment, in this very moment that they finally had one, and they clung to it. This moment was, of course, the Apollo 11 moon landing on the 20th of July, 1969. However, as with many famous events captured in the public eye, it wasn't long before conspiracies began to unfold. Some began to question the validity of the photographs and videos associated with the moon landings, others made claims that the government couldn't possibly have had the technology necessary to successfully land on the moon, and some even went as far as to point out the exact set and director that supposedly filmed the hoaxed moon landings. I first became aware of the conspiracy surrounding the moon landings about two years ago when I watched a documentary on the topic and naturally, being the patriotic American that I am, I sided with NASA without considering any evidence on either side of the argument, but recently, the topic was brought up in conversation and it stuck an interest within me. Conspiracy theorists have also argued that there should have been a freshly gouged crater where the lunar module's descent engine blasted into the lunar soil. However Bizony rebuffs this myth by explaining that the powdery lunar soil was disturbed by the downward pointing jet of the exhaust, but the thrust was not enough to create a crater in the topsoil, much less even be able to penetrate the hard rocky substrate (Bizony, It was all a fake, right?, 2009). The website, moonlandinghoax.org explains that the lunar module had six–foot long landing probes under the foot pads and when they registered contact the engines would stop firing and the module would fall gently the rest of the way (Moon landing hoax). Since the engines stopped firing approximately six feet before landing, there was not enough blast pressure to create a crater. The article stated that a firecracker would have more power than the engines did after they ceased to fire (Moon landing hoax). The conspiracy theorists have even gone as far to say that NASA even murdered astronauts in order to help keep this monumental hoax a secret. One of these instances included the accidental deaths of three astronauts; Ed White, Roger Chaffee, and Guss Grissom; that died in a fire while testing an Apollo spacecraft (Moon landing hoax). After the fire, investigations went on and it was determined that the fire was attributed to a wide range of lethal design and construction flaws in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Millions of people tuned in to watch them, but many believe that the events never even took place. Statistics show that Americans between 18–24 years old are the largest percentage that believes the Moon landings did not occur (Why do People Persist in Denying the Moon Landings?). For those who do not believe in the Moon landings, Apollo 17 astronaut Harrison Schmitt says, "If people decide they're going to deny the facts of history and the facts of science and technology, there's not much you can do with them. The flagpole was designed with a two– part telescoping pole kit with a telescoping crossbar. During the event of the flag being planted it was said, "Armstrong and Aldrin reported few problems with deployment. In the Apollo 11 mission, Neil Armstrong and Edwin Buzz Aldrin were the first men to land on the moon. After World War II, another war started, which was the Cold War. The Cold War pitted the United States and the Soviet Union against each other, thus leading to the two countries fighting and competing for superiority, which eventually becomes a race for space. In 1959, the Soviet Union launched Luna 2, which was the first space probe to hit the moon. Then, later in 1961, the Soviet Yuri Gagarin was the first person to orbit the Earth in the Votstok 1. With the moon's surface, sun, and the black sky, the stars are simply not bright enough to be captured in photographs. Another reason for the lack of stars is the exposure time settings on the cameras used for the moon landing. The cameras were using fast exposure settings, approximately 1/150th or 1/250th of a second, which would have limited any background light to appear in photographs. • 71. Apollo 11 Moon Landing Conspiracy The Apollo 11 Moon Landing Conspiracy Officially Accepted Story During the 1960's and 70's, America and the USSR were in the midst of the Cold War Era, a period of time where instead of fighting each other they competed against each other in order to be the first nation to win the space race and that meant landing a human on the moon and have them return safely before the other country. In 1961 Russia was ahead of America in the space race after managing to launch Yuri Gagarin into space, have him orbit the earth and return him safely , 23 days before American astronaut Alan B Shepard was able too. In response to trailing behind Russia, President John F. Kennedy gave a speech at Rice University Stadium in which he challenged America to find a way to put a man on the moon and return him safely before the end of the decade. After launching from the Kennedy space centre on July 20th 1969 the crew of Apollo 11 orbited the earth one and a half times before being given permission to go to the moon, three days later the crew are in orbit around the moon. Six hours after the lunar module lands on the moons surface, Neil Armstrong becomes the first man to walk on the moon. It was a very stressful time for the U.S.A. so the government may have used the moon landing to keep people 's minds off the awful things that were happening. There 's no doubt it was an extraordinary event as well as one of the greatest accomplishments of all times; one fact used by the hoax believers to support this argument is that coincidentally the Apollo missions came to an end around the same time that the war was ending. The peace with Vietnam was established in October 1972, and it was in December of that same year that the last NASA space shuttle, Apollo 17, ended its voyage. Could it be just a coincidence that the USA abruptly stopped going to the moon around the same time the Vietnam War ended or was it just part of an ingenious plan; a plan that tried to gain people's trust in a period where no one agreed with the decisions that the government was making.
