that you use in your projects

2. Why give someone credit?
 Someone created the text, images, documents or
music that you find on the internet.
 Not giving that person or company credit is like
stealing.
 We “cite” or give credit to others by creating a
“Works Cited” page at the end of our research.

3. To cite a picture, you must:
 Give the name of the picture
If the picture is from the internet, add Digital image.
Web. to the beginning of the line.
 Tell the name of the website where you found the picture.
 Give the date you downloaded the picture and the
website address where you found the picture in this
format:
Retrieved __date__ from web address (URL)
EXAMPLE
Digital image. Web. Civil War Battlefields in Texas.
TAKS 2009 Exit Level Test. Retrieved April
15, 2012 from
http://ritter.tea.state.tx.us/student.assessment/reso
