4. THE N.E.A AND C.E.A
The National Agency for Employment and the County Agencies for Employment are
public institutions with legal personality that aim:
- The implementation of strategies and policies for employment and training of the
workforce;
- Preventing unemployment;
-Implementing measures of social protection for people looking for a job and also
those at risk of losing their jobs, according to the law;
- Implementing measures to stimulate employment.

5. THE LABOR MARKET IN ROMANIA
The labor market in Romania is made up of laws and other regulations that
try to get closer to the European ones. The main resource of this market is
the productive work that has been relatively constant for a long term but
decreased considerably due to lower production, low wages, the loss of
foreign markets on which Romania made extensive exports, the declining of
consumption and demand in certain categories.

6.  According to the data from the National Statistics Institute, Romania's resident
population is 19,94 million people.
According to the Labour Force Balance at 1 January 2015, the civil active population
was 8,953 million persons, representing 44,9% of the total population. Of all assets,
53,4% ​​were male and 46,6% were female.

7. UNEMPLOYMENT AND UNEMPLOYMENT RATE
 In Romania there are two sets of data on the unemployment rate that are calculated.
The ILO unemployment rate is calculated by the National Institute of Statistics, as
defined by the International Labour Office. In December of 2015, this rate was 6.7%,
according to INS in January 2016 release.
 The registered unemployment rate, which determination is the task of the N.E.A is
calculated based on the number of registered unemployed in the database of the
N.E.A. In late December 2015 it was 4.9%, beeing registered about 436 200
unemployed.
