trailers/posters/magazines and genres.
I was not really fond of using Prezi at
first due to the advanced software of
ordering and placing. However, the
more I used it the more confident I
became.
Prezi is an active software
space in which enables you
to navigate and zoom in
and out of your
presentation.
I used PowerPoint to present my
research and Evaluation. I have
learned new features from
PowerPoint 2013-16 such as
OneDrive in which I used to share
my document with my peers in real
time.
PowerPoint owned my Microsoft

presentation, hence why it is one
of the most successful software.

research of what a trailer is, the
trailer draft and the final trailer.
3. Bubbl.us is a free
brainstorming software that
allows you to construct your
ideas
I used bubbl.us to brainstorm my first
ideas of what the plot of the trailer
would be. Bubbl.us taught me how to
create a narrative from scratch, just by
starting with a chosen genre, I added
more branches to go into detail of the
mise-en-scene which helped me to
develop ideas for the plot.
Poll junkie is a free website
that allows you to create
online surveys for different
types audiences
I created questionnaires and sent
them to my focus group in order to get
constructive feedbacks for my final
poster draft. Because of this, I was
able to place the missing key
conventions of a poster, which would
make offline poster successful.
Tumblr is a social networking
website where users can
create blogs and share content
by re-blogging.
Tumblr is a creative platform to micro-blog, so I
presented my research on film and magazine
front cover. I was pleased with the clarity of
the content as it was easy to navigate through.
4. I used a 500d cannon camera to shoot the offline trailer. I had
to practice with a few shots until I progressed on my skills
of focusing whilst zooming and tuning the lighting to
balance the natural light of the environment.
We used QuickTime screen
recording to help show our editing
in the trailer for our commentary
evaluation.
The Canon EOS 500d can shoot
videos on a high quality of about
1080p.
It has a 15.1 megapixel resolution
QuickTime is Apples multimedia
technology. Not only is it a media
player where it allows you to convert
files into different formats, it also lets
you audio and screen record.
5. 1001 free fonts is an
archive of freely
downloadable fonts. There was a range of different potential fonts for Offline so I took my time to
find a font that suited our target audience demographic as well as the narrative
plot.
Pinterest is a visual
discovery tool where
you can find ideas
for all of your
projects and
Pinterest was very straightforward to
use. It allowed me to create a
collage with pictures that related to
Offline such as social network

people which followed dark themes.
All in which represented our
drama/thriller genre conventions.
