• A mandate to collaborate with industry
to improve permitting processes, begun
in 2017;
• A process of group interactions that
select which processes get reviewed
when: there are over 45 processes that
are classified;

• An expectation that the pace of this
process review is thorough yet timely;
and
• All permitting processes develop
continuous improvement mechanisms.

• Commercial building plans and permits;
• Rezoning and Proffered condition
amendments;
• Residential Use Permits (RUP);
• Site plan and bond approval.

• Commercial building plans and permits: Created web page for fast track process
and display for fast track review time metrics
• Residential Use Permits (RUP): Extended cut-off time for calling in RUPs,
developing SOP for building and site inspectors’ roles.
• Site plan and bond approval: Letter to Industry in development for submitting bond
estimate with first site plan submittal, regular check-ins with ESI.
