1. Day 2:
A- Analyze Learners
I will be teaching 3’s multiplication to a third grade class. There
are ten boys and seven girls. 80% white and 20% African
American.
S- State Objective
My third grade class will be able to say their 4’s by the end of the
day. They will learn a song to help them memorize it. They will
also get to play with Popsicle sticks. They will be able to do these
with 100% accuracy by the end of the day.
S- Select Methods, Media, and Material.
Based on the different skill levels of the students, they will learn a
song the first day I present the assignment. I will teach the song
by breaking it up into parts. I will give each group popsicle sticks
to make the numbers on the board. They will then give the answer
by writing it on a little white board. I will ask them for the answer
and they will hold up the white board. They will also get to spend
time on the computer playing games.
U- Utilize Media and Material
Each table will be given a box of popsicle sticks. There will be
equations on the board where they will have to answer. They will
also receive other objects such as little cars or bears. They will get
to get on the computer and play a game I will provide for them.
They will be given a sheet that will have an assignment they have
to make at home. It will be a scrapbook for 4s and they will bring
them to class on Friday.
R- Require Learners Participation
The students will be given time to finish their games on class. We
will go over the song at the end of the day and say their 4
multiplication table. I will be writing a multiplication problem on
the smart and a student at a time will come up and write the
correct answer. They will also get to ask the other students a
certain multiplication equation and will be given a certain time to
answer the question.
2. E- Evaluate and Revise
We will go over the song after we play the games as a class. We
will sing the song and then go over the 4s. They will be graded by
how well they did on the computer games. They will also get a
participation grade if they participated in the song. On Friday
when they present the scrapbook, they will be graded on how well
they do.
